I didn’t get that at all. AT ALL. What I saw was a man who absolutely knows his life was spared, and for what reason. Forgive my use of this expression, but I saw a man fundamentally changed. I saw a man humbled by feeling the Hand of God upon him, humbled that he was chosen for the enormous task ahead.

Seventeen years ago I was in a serious automobile accident in which my car was totally destroyed. Three days later when I woke up in the hospital, I was told by the trauma doctor that had I not been wearing my seat belt, the air bags by themselves would not have saved me.
I got out of the hospital a week later and spent a month in convalesence at home. At which point my wife gave me the keys to her own car and told me I had to drive myself to my doctor’s appointment. Which I was able to do with some initial trepidation.
I was OK emotionally after getting back from my first solo drive since the accident. The emotional facet of the incident was over. But it took a year before I felt myself fully recovered physically and had gotten back all the stamina and the physical endurance I had possessed before the crash.
I also had to have great pain medication for about three weeks.
I agree. I said to someone that I’d bet that ear is constantly throbbing.
I lost the top part of a finger also and it was incredibly painful. I was in semi shock and the nurse in emergency lifted his hand and showed me his injured digit. Oh, that’s not so bad I remember saying.
I don’t think the top of an ear is as painful because it is mostly cartilage.
I am so grateful that President Trump’s injury is not worse, and can in fact, become a badge of honor.

Just Saturday night I was speaking with Dan, after the attempt
on PDJTs life. We talked about how this nation was undeniably
turning the corner, with God’s grace. How all these events
the past 8 years were manifest, and predetermined by the Lord.
Dan and I could not come to any conclusion BUT divine
intervention, and that there have been so many signs
from the Lord, given to those who will see, that this nation
has finally gained its footing, despite everything we’ve suffered.
Dan loved nothing more than being a part
of this renaissance of American liberty and rebirth
with PDJT.
Danny, I love you and miss you. I can still hear your voice.

We didn’t need the Teamsters President telling us we NEED MORE MEMBERS, MORE MONEY, for DOING LESS WORK while inflation is rampant because of transportation costs (fuel). The unionization of government workers including teachers is one our largest problems.

I used to work at a company where the employees were invited to join the union. They didn’t have to join but they still had to pay what was called their “fair share.” It was less than the regular dues but they still had to pay.
Some states you do however if you work for a government agency (fed, state, local) you do not per SCOTUS ruling.
He pays way to well with benefits that blow companies away; no reason to unionize.
I know people who have Nuclear Engineering degrees and Masters in Engineering that went to work Amazon warehouses as logistics / floor managers; making way more with better benefits than the specialized field they came from….I smdh.

Respectfully, Richard never spoke the English of that time nor cared to learn. Not sure if he even set foot in England during his reign. England was essentially bankrupted by his mother Eleanor when she raised money for Richard’s release from captivity. And that’s a huge difference from President Trump’s goal for Americans’ prosperity.

Maybe. And it remains to be seen if that’s even a good thing. But you can definitely see the emotional toll on his face. Trump just had an honest-to-goodness close call with death. Someone literally tried to blow his head off in the middle of a rally. And worse still, the very police and SS whose job it is to protect him essentially let it happen. The point of saying all this is that he’s likely going to be on an emotional roller coaster for some period of time.
I’ve said for the last several years that if Trump can learn to be more restrained in his comments and impress on the mushy middle that he can be calm, measured, and presidential, he can win back a decent chunk of people who consider themselves never trumpers, and win sizeable chunks of solidly democrat voting blocs. So far, he seems to be doing just that. I hope it holds.

Here, I’m referring to never-trumpers in the electorate, in particular women voters. The pundits, party apparatchiks are traitors, far as I’m concerned. And that list includes a whole lot of elected republicans, including Mitch McConnell who I was delighted to see booed by the crowd.
Donald Trump will certainly be on an emotional roller coaster for awhile at least. But for someone of his strength and character, he cannot become A New Donald Trump without some number of adverse consequences for himself, for the MAGA movement, and for the country.
A few weeks of reduced activity will allow time to recharge his batteries and to take stock of what has happened in a mindful, as opposed to emotional, way.
If Donald Trump is who we think he is, he will get bored with not being as active and as productive as he was before the assassination attempt and will then resume his assignment of being The Real Donald Trump. Which is what we need at this point in American history.
NOTHING will change the never-Trumpers. They are no doubt saying “too bad the guy missed his shot.” And they mean it.

I happened to catch Darren Beattie’s remarks on Real America’s Voice Warroom today. He gave an excellent, deeply thoughtful, and long-range view of the genius of President Trump choosing J.D. Vance, making observations I’ve not heard anywhere else. If you can find it, it’s worth watching.
I’m here at the RNC convention as an alternate delegate. Trump coming in yesterday was YUGE! We were all so emotional especially seeing how emotional Trump was. He really is galvanizing us! The Lord saved our President!
As for the convention. It is very well organized. The Fiserv Forum (pronounced “Fisher”) is too small but that’s the only issue so far.
Security is very tight and organized. We are being shuttled on buses from our hotel to events. An armed security guard, wearing a bullet-proof vest, searches us before boarding the bus and rides with us. We get credentials and are checked multiple times before getting on the bus and entering events spaces. The area around the Fiserv Forum is locked down. Huge police presence. Buses enter through a check point that is heavily guarded. I haven’t seen any protestors so far.
Today’s session is more speeches including Nikki Haley. I’m NOT looking forward to hearing from her! I’m not a fan of JD Vance and agree with Sundance’s assessment of the risk issues that come with him as well as the positives. Concerning Vance’s IC, etc., connections, if Trump is successful in dismantling enough of it then that will help lessen the risk.
HIGHLIGHT — Mitch McConnell read Kentucky’s nomination vote total. It must have irked him to say 100% votes for Trump. But we couldn’t hear him speaking! The entire convention was booing him! Very loud! It was perfection! He looked lost! HAHAHAHA!!!!

Ordinary men and women telling their stories about how a wretched administration has destroyed all they have worked for and hold dear. Talk about the character of the American man and woman!! So inspiring and heartbreaking. And all I could think is there sat that traitorous little puke Mike Johnson, an out of place foot servant sitting in the company of a king, and hoping (given his complicity in acquiescence to the soulless and vile Dems) he felt his face turn beet red and his conscience pricked a million times over.

Mike Johnson got applause and boos when he first came out. It warmed my heart to hear the comments from people around me which were not very polite towards him. He is an evil snake.

On a personal note, I had flashbacks on Sunday night while watching another true crime show when shots rang out. I have a family history of a member innocently being murdered by a gang drive by. VERY much like Steve Scalise except they did not make it. Like Steve, the bullet did a lot of internal damage, bouncing off this and that bone, ricocheting, and going straight through the heart and out the shoulder.
I also was beaten almost to death in 8th grade, by 20+ savage dindu nuffins in the girls gym locker room. I know what head and ear injuries are all about and how it all affects your balance too. Forever.
I would imagine all of the noise last night was very tough for him with his specific injury. There were times when the clapping and the chants may have been overwhelming in that building.
Possibly enhanced even more by the way the bandage was open on facial side. That would tend to make the sounds even louder in my opinion. Think about cupping your hand over your ear to hear better.
There were times for me that the clapping sometimes took on the sound of shots and I flinched and looked at him for how he took it. I always saw pain and gratitude. The same way I was feeling. And a humble man.
