My thoughts are they are trying to concentrate on the House and Senate. They need at least one of them to keep PTrump under control. They did this in 2022. Made sure they cheated enough to win the races they thought mattered most to keeping control. GA, PA and AZ. There were two black-clad.snipers on a rooftop behind President Trump. Only two that I saw visible anywhere. Their gums were on tripods and appear to me to be pointed directly in the direction of the bldg where the shooter crawled across the roof.
In one close up clip it appears the LEO sniper is looking at the shooter, removes his eye fro the scope, raises his head and looks over it just as the shots were fired.
Strange they seemed focused in one direction towards the perp yet allowed him to crawl across the roof with a gun, and take aim and fire …….BEFORE……..they eliminated the threat.
They had a clear view of the area around that roof top during the entire sequence of events. The inaction prior to shots fired is inexplicable.
The shooter was on his belly on the far side of the roof’s slope behind the peak. They couldn’t see him prior until he was ready to shoot exposing himself.
I don’t buy that because of the low slope of the roof.
Secondly, if it was a dead zone for them, their failure to secure that roof on that building is even worse for their prep and it likely being intentional.

Because the roof was relatively flat and they had been alerted. They were looking directly there.
Again, if it was dead space, it’s unforgivable that it wasn’t otherwise covered. Neither scenario exonerates the snipers.
Radio chatter would shed light on what they saw.
Which roofs apex was higher?
If the snipers were t on the highest one, they are criminals.
The shooters visibility would depend on the relative elevation between the 2 locations.

Capt Pike there is a video out there of the perp hump-crawling along the roof taken by bystanders on the Trump side of the event. He could be seen from the ground and yet snipers on a rooftop behind Trump…….supposedly surveying the area could not see him?

There are close to 1/2 dozen topical posts from yesterday on this site covering this throughly and everything you two just spilled is covered, quite clearly.

Why didn’t the SS have security up on that roof to begin with? You deny the obvious. They also seemed pretty focused on that roof with their snipers in place. Why? Did they get the citizen’s messages there was a guy up there? Why didn’t someone from SS go find out?
1. At least one small, remote controlled drone should have been airborne and would have easily spotted the shooter climbing up to and crawling along the roof and zoomed in it’s camera to take a close look. Trump should have then been taken from the stage.
2. A few of the 30 state and local cops assisting and under the control of the SS should have been STATIONED on relevant rooftops with AR-15s and not just their usual sidearms to have firepower equal to that of a likely shooter. Cops typically carry ARs in their police car trunks. That would have prevented a shooter from using any of the rooftops or shoot them if they tried.
3. Immediately after the spectators pointed out the shooter to a cop, a radio call should have been made by that cop using a codeword that should have and likely was prearranged and Trump immediately taken from the stage.
TOTAL screwup. NO excuses.

My thought/question on the apparent lack of USSS drone coverage is to wonder if that agency considers the use of drones a no-no because they are so used to establishing restrictive no-fly zones as part of their usual protective practice and thought any drones in such an area could be hostile, i.e. weaponized?
And while typing have my own answer – they could establish no-fly zones with the exception to allow only USSS operated drones.

The Pennsylvania man who attempted to assassinate President Donald Trump during a rally on Saturday tried out for his high school’s rifle team, but was rejected for making “off-color” jokes — and being a “terrible” shot.
Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, killed a hero Trump supporter and wounded two others when he opened fire on the Butler Farm Show grounds with an AR-style rifle. The would-be assassin only grazed the former president before being shot dead by the Secret Service.
A few years earlier, Crooks had tried out for the rifle team at Bethel Park High School, two former classmates told The Post.
The team at Bethel Park shoots Anschutz single-shot rifles with peep sights and .22-caliber ammunition, Jameson Murphy and another former student explained.
The shooting range at the school is 50 feet long by 21 feet wide, with seven ranges.
Crooks once fired from the seventh lane — the closest lane to the right wall — and hit the left wall, completely missing every target on the back wall. He missed his target by close to 20 feet, Murphy recalled.
“He tried out…and was such a comically bad shot he was unable to make the team and left after the first day,” Murphy said.
Thank god he was dismissed from the team.

As someone who regularly shoots – I have my own 125 yard range on my property – you’d be surprised how many people can’t hit a 6″ steel plate at 125 yards with a zeroed scope. I don’t think he intentionally missed. I have no clue what the weather was like, but even at 150 yards things such as wind must be taken into account in a 6″ target. Steady breathing, shaking hands, adrenaline, etc. Many variables the inexperienced person may not fully account for. My dad started taking me high power rifle shooting at 7. At age 9 I took my first deer at over 700 yards. I was aiming about 3′ high shooting into a north wind. My own father was even in disbelief that I hit it 😆

But we’re supposed to believe law enforcement and SS were totally surprised? Law enforcement at some level(s) had to be in on this. This is probably not a popular view but no more big outdoor rallies. The stakes are too high and we can’t trust law enforcement to do their jobs either due to incompetence or deliberate malice toward President Trump. Indoor rallies only from now on in extremely controlled venues. Do virtual rallies streamed to millions of supporters. We cannot chance another 1″ near miss.
Also….the Trump campaign MUST immediately hire hundreds of their own security staff. No more entrusting the future of the nation to a bunch of DEI nincompoops. If the Secret Service wants to FAIL in their mission let them do it with the current President Jill Biden and her incapacitated husband.

Just saw a story about the cop who supposedly confronted the shooter on the roof prior to him shooting at DJT. They claim that the cop was standing on the shoulders of another cop because there was no way to get on the roof. 1) – Then how did Crooks get up there? 2) – When looking at the building on Google Earth, each cop would have had to be 7 to 8 feet tall to do this totally implausible action. We need more clarity on this issue. Sounds like a lame excuse to me. Any good cop would have radioed in their position and what action they were about to take. Where is the audio of authority communications? This major issue needs to be part of any in-depth dive into this whole fiasco, including why there were no drones doing recon; no presence at accessible high ground like the roofs in the whole area; etc. Something sounds and smells fishy to me.
Shooter obviously cased the place before…probably within the last two days before the rally to check sight lines, elevation and location of stage.
And probably timed how long it would take to climb up there and planned his exit strategy. BTW…speaking of…where did they find his car? How close to where he would shoot?

If it is a given, that President Trump’s regular Secret Service security detail was mostly absent, and “temporary Homeland Security agents” substituted, while the regular agents were either given a day off or diverted to another event with Jill Biden, as has been reported by Dan Bongino and others, and that regular security protocols were not followed, then this rally fits a pattern of events called “school plays,” and everything seen that day can be interpreted in alternate ways.
So, Congressional investigators need to interview every public employee who was at Butler. Who put them there? How many will be found to not exist?
