At least one of the three suspects arrested in connection with the shooting death of a French Quarter tour guide in New Orleans is an illegal immigrant with a criminal history on American soil, according to immigration authorities.
New Orleans police arrested Joshua Bonifacio-Avila, 19, Jerben Albarec, 17, and Kevin Nunez, 15, the day after the slaying of 43-year-old Kristie Thibodeaux in her car on St. Peter Street, the morning of June 30.
Nunez is accused of pulling the trigger. And Aviala-Bonifacio, a Honduras national, is accused of entering the country illegally, Immigration and Customs Enforcement told Fox News Digital.
The slaying took place around 4:30 a.m. on June 30 as part of an armed robbery, New Orleans police said. They arrested all three suspects on July 1.

On March 14, 35-year-old Bryan Kim, who now goes by Amber FayeFox Kim, was busted having sex with 25-year-old Sincer-A Marie Nerton at the Washington Corrections Center for Women (WCCW).
According to the Spokesman-Review, Kim was convicted in 2008 on two counts of aggravated first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison for fatally stabbing father Richard Kim, and bludgeoning and strangling mother, Terri Kim in their Mount Spokane home in 2006. After the murders, Kim attempted to clean the crime scene and conceal the parents’ bodies. Democratic strategist David Axelrod in a post after President Biden’s Thursday night press conference said his odds of winning the presidential race this fall are “very very slim.”
Axelrod said Biden’s team “has not been very candid” with the president after Biden at the presser said no poll or person is telling him he cannot win in November.
If what he said at the end of his presser is true, it sounds like Biden’s team has not been very candid with him about what the data is showing: the age issue is a huge and an insurmountable concern and his odds of victory are very, very slim,” Axelrod wrote on X Thursday.
Axelrod and other ex-aides to former President Obama have been very critical of Biden since his debate pereformance at the end of June. The Obama strategist has repeatedly signaled he believes Democrats would have a better chance of defeating Trump withouth Biden at the top of the ticket.
The latest coments from Axelrod came moments after Biden concluded a press conference following the NATO Summit in Washington. At one point, the president was pressed on whether he would drop out if he saw data that Vice President Kamala Harris would do better in the election than him.

There are 2 groups of lawyers whose job it is to read that supreme court decision and then decide how it gets implemented
One set is at DoJ it is called the office of legal counsel (OLC).
The other set is a group who work closely with them but actually work at the white house, called “white house counsel”
There’s some behind the scenes drama going on that is juxtaposed w Joe Bidens exit that is intriguing to me.
DoJ has a manual and a memo for EVERYTHING
The OLC gets consulted for major decisions (or rather pre-decisions) on important matters like “can we prosecute a former president?” That we’ve seen play out over the past 3 years. It’s the internal guidelines.
Those guidelines are what the folks over at the white house counsels office follow to help keep the President “out of trouble”
It will be curious to see who wins the current grudge match as white house counsel is likely screaming for an update from OLC as to what grey areas fall within Bidens official acts “outer perimeter” ….
…while OLC DoJ is gonna delay FOREVER writing the updated memo for fear that Trumps lawyers will file it immediately as a defense exhibit against (to remove/counter) Jack Smith
But guess what, Joe doesn’t have the “comfort memo” from his lawyers that he so desperately needs in order to incorporate the immunity decision into his machinations and negotiations for his exit from the white house.
After all, like Sundance has said, all that we are watching now is the Biden family negotiating their price for surrender
But since Joe is in a campaign for president… and is sitting on $50 million, which acts that he agrees to do or not do are prosecutable after he leaves office?
For example:
Can he pardon himself?
Can he pardon those who were pulling the strings on his presidency these last several months (or years) by calling their actions official acts even though they were maybe exceeding their (his) authority? (Think student loan forgiveness and also the “illegal” appointment of Jack smith)
If Joe exits without this comfort memo, Kamala will surely need it (asap) if she succeeds him (by exercise of the 25th amendment against him)
But the people who have to write the new memo HATE Trump and are loathe to admit anything that would undermine Jack Smith.
So watch carefully. I think it won’t get published until Nov 6th.
Interesting. I’m not sure that 25th amendment is that likely to happen. The process can take a month to play out, and you have to be certain that you have the votes in the senate. Republicans are likely to at least use all time they have, and maybe want to see Biden stay as president. No cabinet member or dem congressman wants to cast that vote.
As the Republicons in the Senate are all anti-Trump, and Biden staying in is percieved as benefitting TRUMP, I am sceptical of this assumption that the R’s would not act to help their Dem comrades out of the mess they are in.

Side bar: if anyone wants to interview an attorney who as white house counsel was made to break attorney client privilege, Don mcGahn is someone who might have a unique opinion about presidential immunity. And his law firm Jones Day has a Loooooong history of staffing key white house and cabinet postitions for republican administrations that goes back several decades.
So the Jones Day law firm probably has much to say on the immunity front… such as one of our lawyers serving as white house counsel should NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN be made to testify in an “obstruction of justice” witch hunt (like the Mueller probe). Remember Trump threatened to fire mcGahn several times and McGahn has a mild case of tds.
So, it is kind of curious to me that nobody has interviewed him to find out what the real world applications of the immunity decision might be. He would have much to say and is probably helping to craft the drafts for the next white house counsel staff (assuming Trump wins) because that’s what Jones Day law firm is and does.

Biden looks finished – there’s surely no coming back from this-
The president had a chance to show his ‘big boy’ credentials. But he just made America look like an international joke. If Mr Biden looked shaky at the start of this week, tonight he looked finished. The coming days will be dark indeed.
If Joe Biden wanted to design a pair of gaffes to cause his presidency as much damage as possible, it would be hard to do better than his performance on Thursday night.
This Nato summit in Washington has already been overshadowed by questions about the US president’s age and mental capacity, and every world leader has been asked about it in interviews here.
Two miles away, on Capitol Hill, Democrats have been locked in conclave all week to discuss what to do about Mr Biden and his health.
All eyes were on this evening, to see if he could bring this summit to a close without a hitch. He could not.
There was a gasp in the media centre, where hundreds of journalists were gathered to watch that press conference.
On screens around the room, Mr Biden turned to his left and prepared to give way to Mr Zelensky.
“And now I want to hand it over to the President of Ukraine, who has as much courage as he has determination,” he said.
Pausing for effect, he concluded: “Ladies and gentlemen – President Putin.”
Immediately, the atmosphere among the assembled hacks turned from one of interest, to one of horror.
In his own press conference, Mr Biden was asked about Kamala Harris’s suitability to be president, in an obvious nod to the idea of her replacing him on the Democratic ticket.
“I wouldn’t have picked Vice President Trump to be vice president, if she’s not qualified to be president,” he said. More gasps, as the penny dropped that he had mistaken his closest ally for his greatest foe.
He did speak at length, with no notes, about foreign policy and America’s relationship with China, Russia and South Korea.
That performance attracted praise in some quarters, from Democrats who saw the old Biden shine through.
But with his ridiculous errors on the names of some of his closest allies, he risked making America look like an international joke, and left Western leaders scrambling to cover for him.
It is almost certain that tonight’s events will see more Democrats come forward to declare they cannot support his campaign any longer.
He was insistent he would not stand down, and this campaign will only end when Mr Biden decides to end it.
But if Mr Biden looked shaky at the start of this week, tonight he looked finished. The coming days will be dark indeed.
