The Save Act is apparently going to be voted on in the House next week-An article in the Gateway Pundit on how the Democrats are bringing out the big guns to allow noncitizens to vote in 2024.
The Save Act requires proof of citizenship to vote in the 2024 election. What a novel idea since it’s already federal law that only citizens can vote in federal elections. I guess we need another law, that some states won’t follow, to ensure only citizens can vote in federal elections.
Why don’t they pass a law that if states do not vigorously follow federal law the sates election will not be accepted.
I still don’t understand, according to the SCOTUS, states do not have standing to sue other states that do not follow federal election law. Elections should be able to be audited if there is evidence of corruption and purposely not following the law. That has not happened with all the evidence of corruption in the 2020 election. The courts are not interested and/or slow walk any legal challenges that make a legal challenge mute.
To me, this is a fundamental requirement for our Constitutional Republic to survive-Honest elections that we have faith in. Pretty disgusting that our courts don’t seem to care about election integrity and that includes the SCOTUS.

The only (proper) question for Biden and his party is whether the removal will be voluntary, under Section 3 of the 25th Amendment, or forced, under Section 4. Will Biden transmit “his written declaration that he is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office” to Congress? Or will the vice president and a majority of the Cabinet inform Congress of President Biden’s incapacity and remove him from office?
A day or two to decide is reasonable. A week stretches the bounds. But we are now at the point where the inaction by Vice President Kamala Harris and Biden’s Cabinet constitutes a violation of their oath of office. They solemnly swore they would “bear true faith and allegiance” to the Constitution and that they would “faithfully discharge the duties of the office.” That oath mandates they provide Congress “their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office…”
Whether caused by age, dementia, or Alzheimer’s matters not. The president of the United States cannot discharge his duties if he lacks lucidity for even a fraction of the day. The commander-in-chief must be able to command the executive branch 24-7.

The point I attempt to make (following) is no small matter: I don’t think they did any such thing.
They repeated words that they needed to repeat in order to get the keys to the authority and power they had lusted after. That is NOT the same thing as “solemnly swearing…”
Saying words and swearing an oath are two very, very, VERY different things. There is that phrase “without mental reservation”…. that seeks to address the issue but does not inherently resolve it.
I stopped assuming–a long time ago–that someone repeating the words of an oath of office actually meant that they swore an oath. Two different things.
When they signed that document they immediately put their lives on the line.That’s swearing an oath to me!
They obviously didn’t consider it binding. Your assumption that it actually is binding is where the disconnect comes in. You think they have bound themselves by “swearing an oath” and signing a document. They do not think they have. That’s reality.

There has never been effective oversight of the NSA’s bulk collections programs, or indeed, intelligence agencies in general. There’s been a lot of noise made about this vaunted oversight in defense of programs revealed by leaked documents, but this is nothing more than a talking point.
At The Big Picture, a clip of Sen. John D. Rockefeller (then Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence) discussing how oversight actually works has been posted. It’s from an interview given in 2007, about the time the FISA Amendments Act was being put together to replace the expiring Protect America Act. The amendments act, among other things, extended the length of warrantless surveillance and gave telecoms retroactive immunity for their participation in the NSA’s bulk collections.
Here’s Sen. John D. Rockefeller explaining why, even back in 2007, intelligence agency oversight was a joke.

Why have the targets of the “Deep State/Blob” changed?
Since the world is and always has been basically a continuing conflict between competing oligarchies with some, like ours, having the calming illusion of voter control and a large, stabilizing middle class which is now going away, here’s my take:
In the 50s and 60s when most manufacturing was located in the US and US products dominated the WWII-destroyed world, the oligarchy was nationalistic and the targets of the FBI and CIA were the anti-nationalists (communists/leftists). Also, the boards of directors of those major corporations which were not multi-national were mostly patriotic Americans.
Now that so much manufacturing is outside the US, mainly in Communist China, and even US-based corporations are far more multinational with many board members who aren’t even US citizens, the oligarchy’s desired path is globalism, so nationalists are targeted and they, at least in the US, naturally tend to be anti-collectivists (anti-communist/anti-leftist) while big government enthusiasts (leftists) are not.
Also, those brainwashed with neo-Marxist Postmodernism pseudo-intellectual garbage during their “higher” education have reached positions of power in our gerontocracy. In 2021, the average age of a U.S. senator was 64. The same Postmodernism effect is also seen in lower levels of the educational system because teachers were also indoctrinated with that garbage in college. “The long march through the institutions” has been highly successful.
