Spoiler alert. That might be my $20 (inflation!) word for a rant. And open season, nothing is off limits guys. Whatever’s on your mind.
I will start with truth. After a few things I’ve observed lately, let’s start with the basics. Apparently people on both sides need a primer.
I just copied this.
3. A fact or belief that is accepted as true.
Let’s discuss. 1. Too vague. 2. Okay, agreed. 3. Absolutely not.
I found something worth a little thought from Webster’s 1913 online.
1. The quality or being true; as: — (a) Conformity to fact or reality; exact accordance with that which is, or has been; or shall be.
It also goes on to expand the meaning of truth, and I’d like to come back to that later.
Fidelity; constancy; steadfastness; faithfulness.
There is truth, and it isn’t fungible. In the real world, we don’t have my truth and your truth. An orange is an orange and a man is a man. Vows are vows, and you don’t get to interpret them after the fact. If you make a commitment, pledge a vow, sign a contract, then you go into knowing and accepting the reality as is, not as you think it should be.
Everyone who has been married understands that we all bit off more than we thought, and reality is different from romance. Most of us buckle down, put in the work, and deal with that, with varying degrees of success.
But suppose your spouse decides they don’t like fidelity and want an open marriage. Nope. Not what you pledged. Suppose your husband decides he wants to be your wife. Again, no.
Those are the easy ones. Let’s do harder. Suppose you work at a low paying job, your boss is abusive, and you are really in desperate straits financially. You begin to take small amounts from the cash register, never really missed, and after all, you are underpaid, and asked to work off the clock.
Again, no. It is a truth that theft is wrong. A truth that is not subject to your interpretation.
I have had people I really do not like offer me good counsel, telling me things that might be difficult to take, especially from them. Some of them had my best interests at heart, and some of them had their own best interests at heart, but helping me in some way suited that interest. My feelings about them, and about whatever difficult truth I was being challenged to face didn’t change facts.
I like this person, it’s easier to agree with their course of action. I hate this one, therefore every thing they do is wrong. Not valid, nor is it productive.
Moving on.
Every American, right, left, Democrat or Republican, liberal or conservative, really ought to unite in digging through muck and filth and coverup for answers about why the government has been run by proxy, and who is running it.
And yeah, for us, we saw this way back, before Obama even, but let’s just deal with today and the “wink, wink” crowd who just got outraged. Okay, man up, own it, walk back from the brink and fix things.
I can’t calculate that infinitesimal percentage of chance.
For the love of little green apples, climate cultists, EVs are not immaculately conceived. They get here by way of petroleum based manufacturing. But before that, look into lithium mining. The process, the human labor, the precious CO2 emissions in the process, water used. You know, stuff.
Why aren’t parents trustworthy enough to teach reading, writing, and math to their own kids at home, but they know enough medicine and psychology to “understand” that their non verbal 18 month old baby is transgender?
And may I return, yet again, to one of my perennial questions.
Young ladies, why would you enter into a relationship with a man who is more effeminate than you, wears more jewelry, styles his hair, and, Great Aunt Gertie’s garters, wears skinny jeans. No man belongs in skinny jeans. And have you seen the suit pants men wear now? I don’t want them to look like leggings, and I don’t want to see your socks.
Someday life is going to slam you with a level 5 tornado you didn’t see coming, and man bun skinny jeans boys will fold and buckle.
If you’re using buttermilk, it should never be low-fat.
I’ll save the rest for another fine day. Your turn.

Oh yeah, big add. Okay, I consider liberals stupid, to say the least. But pass the popcorn. They finally have to own up, on the international stage, no less, to poor decision making and irresponsible, dangerous actions having unavoidable repercussions. Even for them, epic stupid.
Beyond Meat is not a healthy alternative to real meat. It is a manufactured, and highly processed chemical product. Plant Based does not equal healthy.
Nor ‘planet-saving’ either. Just eat real food, not boxed and bagged mixtures of harmful substances. Many of this country’s health woes started when our food supply was industrialized.
Yeah. Remember Kentucky Fried Movie?
“Brown 25”
Brown 25. That was Groove Tube. Funny stuff! Funny in fiction, not so much when actually produced for consumption.
Oh my God? You just revived one of the funniest lines I can remember from that flick….”Are you tired of the drip, drip, drip……of gonorrhea?”
As you stated, funny in fiction, not so much…….”
Yup, that would be a good start. Having a vegetable garden is an even better start.
I have a vegetable garden. I grow ‘the dirty dozen’ so I don’t have to eat those vegetables.
They’re killing our real food too. Never seen so many people in my farm groups this year complain about total loss of this year’s summer harvest. Lots of issues stemming from products purchased this year poisoning their entire garden.
Drought here has wiped out probably 80%, if not more, of the corn crops in my area. Today’s temperature topped out at over 115. I’m in SC. I track the rain. We haven’t had any in five weeks. Finally getting some tonight but it’s too late for the corn and so dry we’ll probably flood.
I hear you loud and clear Miya. We received 1.75 inches after weeks of dry. Garden suffered accordingly.
We farm here in WV. They spray constantly. The DC people are turning us into a non farming area.
It’s all intentional, absolutely. Don’t know what they’re putting in those chemicals, but it’s taken out multiple apiaries of mine.
Here in Mississippi farmer’s have switched from growing corn and soybeans back to cotton this year. Little rain and temps in the 90s into over 100 beginning last month. Usually we don’t get those temps until August.
Seems like they started cotton later this year. Corn was early, I think because they were hoping we’d keep getting rain. Cotton doesn’t look too bad right now, but it makes me want to cry driving past the cornfields. I already know of two farmers who will be selling; they can’t go another year.
I’m sure especially with the high fertilizer prices and the supply chain issues.
Encouraging predatory insects into the garden is the way to go.
Honey, insects don’t do a damn thing to help if we don’t get any rain. Some of us don’t have the capacity to water everything ourselves if God doesn’t give us a hand.
I was replying to your post above about purchased products killing the garden.
In my area, Illinois, there are fewer corn crops planted…lots of soybeans.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who has noticed “little things” like the extremely low germination rate from seeds, both store bought and others recycled from last years harvest. Not only has the “starter seed soil” I purchased earlier this Spring failed to produce a living plant from seed on numerous tries, I was also reminded of earlier this year when a lot of chicken scratch grains from local farm supply stores were discovered to be the source of poor egg production. On top of that you can add all the mysterious poultry and beef production facilities burning to the ground. WTF?
You just said a mouthful!
I always thought “plant-based” meant processed food that came from some manufacturer’s processing plant; not a first generation harvested living source of nourishment.
Soylent Green.
Is People
We still don’t know the long term implication of Beyond “Meat”, just like we don’t know the true ramifications for the “Jab”.
Heck we still aren’t too sure about the long term ramifications for some Artificial Sweeteners and they’re been more or on the market for 50+ years.
The only thing we do know is that the Left will always use them as Campaign issues that always HURT people. Like how California has Cancer warnings on EVERYTHING. These warnings are the first thing you see when you enter a Home Depot here… yet these very same California Progressive Politicans ignoring the Crime, Homeless, and degradation you see in the streets.
Think about the long term affects of suppressed technology. Medical, travel, energy, all the billions
who have died from suppressed technology plus the food poisoning. Its huge folks.
And they have been telling us what they are doing for years. Georgia Guidestones anyone?
But, but, uh, the Covid vaccines are safe and effective, for sure, because my government told me so!
Just a side note… the very same Governmental Authorities once said Lobotomizes for Epileptics were safe and effective!
Further: plant proteins are far less bio-available than animal-source proteins.
Was looking at the FAQ on the website of a local winery. Someone one asked “are your wines vegan”? I haven’t stopped laughing yet. I have decided from now on I will only consume plant based wines!!!
Going along with the buttermilk truth…
If you are going to eat something sugary, eat sugar, not a chemical substitute. Your body knows what to do with sugar, but the chemical sub just confuses or poisons your body. Just eat less of the real thing.
Same goes for meat, fat, whatever.
If you want a spouse, go for the real thing ( a man who is secure and happy in his manhood, a woman secure and happy in her womanhood), and aim for an intellectual equal with a similar moral compass.
Real is almost always better than fake (I say almost because I have had to concede to silk house plants since I cannot keep real ones alive).
Worse is the High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS) used in nearly all soft drinks. When the soft drink industry took this route, the obesity epidemic started. HFCS should be banned; it is horrible stuff, yet it is a major ingredient in soft drinks. Go figure. Since eliminating soft drinks containing HFCS from my diet, I’ve lost over 100 pounds! That’s a fact. Of course, I eat healthy in other ways too, but eliminating HFCS was the beginning of my weight loss journey.
It’s also in ketchup, soy sauce, and other condiments.
And I’m allergic to ketchup, soy sauce, and other condiments (as well as soft drinks and the list goes on) … Go figure!
It’s also in bread.
Yes! And the Zero sodas, Gatorade etc have 2 different artificial sweeteners where Diet has only one. I can’t stand anything with artificial sweeteners but my husband, being a type2 diabetic won’t drink anything else. It’s all an evil plan!
My Mom was a type 2 diabetic . Her body reacted to the diet coke she guzzled like regular coke. It sent blood sugar wacky.
Same with my husband. He had the worse time understanding that his diet sodas were making his sugars crazy. Once he understood that he switched to unsweetened tea or water and the blood sugars began dropping. He only drinks diet or zero stuff when we visit our daughter.
Just an fyi and maybe a helpful hint… my daughter has been a type 1 since she was 2 years old. She is almost 34 and has said that “monk fruit” is the only non sugar sweetener that does not affect her blood sugar. Maybe it could help someone or at least give it a try. Much more expensive, of course, but at a tsp or two a day, well worth it for her. Hope it does the same for others.
real plants are better, that you cannot keep them alive like me does not alter that truth!
Here is an interview question I used to ask.
Tell me something you know is true, that almost everyone thinks is not.
That “Income” taxes are “Excise” taxes and “Excise” taxes are synonymous with “Privilege” taxes.
“Since the right to receive [commonly-defined] income or earnings is a right belonging to every person, this right cannot be taxed as privilege.”
Jack Cole Company v. Alfred T. MacFarland, Commissioner, 337 S.W. 2d 453 (1960)
The flip side is “Tell me something you/WE know is false, but almost everyone thinks is true.”
That could produce some stunning replies.
That the 16th Amendment created a Direct tax on “Income”.
🙂
Also Rick,
The the Income wage definition is different from SS and Medicare wage definition. This of course being false!
“We conclude that Treas.Reg. §§ 31.3121(a)-1(f) and 31.3306(b)-1(f) fail to implement the statutory definition of “wages” in a consistent or reasonable manner. The plain language and legislative histories of the relevant Acts indicate that Congress intended its definition to be interpreted in the same manner for FICA and FUTA as for income tax withholding. The Treasury Regulations on which the Government relies fail to do so, and their inconsistent and unexplained application undermine the contention that Congress nonetheless endorsed them. As Congress did intend a consistent interpretation of its definition, these Treasury Regulations also are inconsistent with the Court’s reasoning in Central Illinois.”
Rowan Cos., Inc. v. United States, 452 U.S. 247 (1981)
My rant / argument is how to best convince the low information voter and our friends and families that perhaps their perception of truth has been altered by the “ Ministry of Truth” or perhaps some new epithets we can agree on like “ the priesthood of truth “ As we refer to as media. Why is is you are so convinced they are tell you the truth?
One lesson I learned from Rush was always to question who is benefitting by the “ truth” they are telling. Is a financial gain, Power, hubris, vanity, meanness, the destroyer of truth? Just how do you as a free person benefit by believing their lie,Or their truth? What lie will they tell you next to get you to the place that they are leading you. Does is just make you feel better about yourself that you are not in a group of racists and Natzi s or do truly believe the story that’s been repeated over and over again so that you are brainwashed into believing their lies. We really need all people to embrace and confront the lie the media told you in order to get to see how they are part of the power grab that Democrats have stolen in order to be in total control. He can only read a teleprompter and then sign dutifully the papers they set before him. He now is exposed as the puppet to get agenda approved. In tandem with the media all the ruling class in All halls of power have hidden the truth from you, bore false witness of who is running our country, and repeatedly lied to you without remorse. Do you still trust them? Why are you trusting them? We need to make them squirm with their trust. I heard a Demo donor and partron espousing how great life was under Joe and everyone needs to get on board with the plan. All I could think was “ life maybe really good for you, even great as it is. But not for a lot of people.
Ask your friends “ what do you believe is the truth now that you can see how feeble the president/ puppet is?” Will you willingly go alone to be in the tribe or do you now question what you believed? Did God give you a brain for reason or just to hear the propagandist, the brain washers the bearers of Slander and false witness and follow the dark one blindly into bondage. God is the way, the truth and the life everlasting.
If they’re libtards they will refuse to engage in a thoughtful discussion because they are afraid to be confronted with their bs beliefs.
Yeshua returned in ad70
“Trust the Plan”
There is no need for a “plan”. If there were anyone in position of power now, who have the best interest of this country and its citizens, heck even the world, it would have happened already.
There is an enormous amount of evidence of corruption, greed, lies, manipulation and in your face stupidity on display as it stands, and has been evident for so long, that correction, arrests, policies would/should have been enacted long ago.
If there was an honest media, if there were true conservatives, if people would actually speak the “truth” into these situations, we could have a very well-run country, even a world. We could actually make this place much better if people in our governments actually did their jobs as intended, and not motivated by personal gain.
Not a doomsayer, and there will be many here who will automatically shout me down on this site as being so. Next in line is the, ” What have you done?”.
I am a family man, in construction all of my life and one of those who don’t want everything, simply to be left alone so I can work and enjoy my family, friends and my life as I have chosen to, simply to go to a beach and have a BBQ.
I have gone to rallies, went up to the Malheur ranch in Burns, Oregon where Leroy F. was shot, showed up at the Stop the Steal at the State Capitol and eventually on to the “trap” that so many here call the Jan. 6 protest.
I have stood and had Antifa throw rocks, bottles and paint bombs at not only us gathered to protest, but the police as well. Who did NOTHING to stop the attacks, only telling me that if I didn’t want to be hit, to move. I have been in a sharpshooter sights. I have been cataloged as a domestic terrorist and put on a watchlist.
I have lost family members and friends due not only my political views, but my refusal to take the Covid 19 shot. As many here have as well.
All these plus so much more are being unleashed on us to “fracture” our minds, such as in the 1984 novel. Our lives and our world have been turned upside down, purposely.
I still believe we will prevail, that good will win out over evil. I have not given up hope and will continue to stand. But I do not see any “white hats” in place now, no one is working behind the scenes waiting for just the right moment to spring their “plan”. Otherwise, the madness would not have been allowed to progress as far as it has and is continuing to do so. Unless.
I was once taught in Ministry school that there are 2 scenarios where revival has historically occurred. Devastation or desolation. Where the people will finally gather together in One name and cry out. Looks to be where we are headed. It will take much more of this lunacy/death to take place I fear for this to happen.
End of rant.
Oh wow, have you hit another thing I could rant about. After the stolen election the phrase “trust the plan” on this blog almost caused me to have a stroke.
Thank you for this post to place our rants. Was going to do so a 2 days ago when “trust the plan’ was being proposed, again, but this is a more appropriate avenue.
While there is no plan that does not mean we don’t need one. Such a plan should include ridding ourselves of all the corrupt politicians and bureaucrats that plague our lives. That would surely be a good start. I think the best way to do that is to eliminate their ability to get rich while in office. That no one is concerned about politicians and bureaucrats coming to Washington of modest means and earning good but not opulent salaries, then leaving Washington a few years later as a multi-millionaire is the tell we should be dealing with.
Yes!
“Trust the plan” – like “trust the science” –
it has the faint odor of mendacity (h/t Tennessee Williams, “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof”)
Menagerie, “Two weeks to flatten the curve” does it to me….
“Too big to fail.”
The corruption has been with us for many, many decades before I was born and I’ve been around for many, many decades since. I continue to hope for “the plan” and yet continue to prepare if it doesn’t pan out. Head on a swivel…
.
God Has A Plan.
In my estimation, that is secularly known as ‘reality’.
Bravo!
Sir, you are not a doomsayer; you are a truth-teller! Kudos to you.
There comes a time when, as a very imperfect, but loyal to her husband woman said: “JUST SAY NO!”. We are at that time. If you are a REAL patriot, and truly love your country, be prepared to take it back before you no longer have the power to do so. Voting for Trump in November is a start. With all his imperfections, I believe he DOES love this country. He can do nothing without people willing to support him when the big steal happens again, as it surely will.
If and when that happens, there must be demonstrations country wide that will make J6 look pale in comparison. Not at the Capitol, but rather at the jails where the J6 political prisoners have languished for years. Shame on Americans if they don’t.
I have felt for a very long time that another civil war is inevitable. I wish it weren’t. I’m sure the Founding Fathers wished that King George III and the British Parliament would listen to reason. They wouldn’t. Barack Obama hates our nation, and the Clintons do too. Those on the left need to fear for their financial and personal safety if they think they can bring this nation to its knees without a fight. If honest, law abiding citizens have to fear a middle of the night FBI SWAT team raid because they have disagreed with the party in power, we are already in the dictatorship that the Democrats accuse Trump of planning.
Man up. Fight back. Never be afraid to speak the truth. Make America Great Again is more than just a slogan. It is our obligation to our children, grandchildren, and generations yet unborn.
Voting aint doing it Cadillac
Thank you for this particular ‘rant’. “simply to be left alone”
Jesus has a plan. Anyone can join by just asking.
Where the people will finally gather together in One name
I am certain that this is on its way.
David Wilderson told us that we were as a church/Body of Christ falling into the patterns that ancient Israel fell into and that God’s patterns of restoration to righteousness were actively working: greater blessings to teach He was the source but their sin caused licentiousness and then correction.
Correction is coming, but we are not desperate enough to reconsider God in Heaven over Evolution and the” godness of man.”
The revival will be beautiful – and nationwide.
And that is the true true.
Liberals – I believe you mean progressives – have the uncanny ability to fail up. This will continue until someone the scale of Xi or the main mullah in Iran or Putin says, “Basta” and irretrievable moves the baseline.
AKA “The Peter Principle” –
like how in the heck did some guy who was near the bottom of his law school class wind up being the Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee?
You know who I mean . . . the same stupid guy who wound up being the President of these United States!
The truth is what you see in the mirror at 6 am on Monday morning.
They say that most heart attacks occur on Mondays. Now you know why.
I’m safe… I seldom look in a mirror at 6 am.
During the recent debate Trump talked his facts and Biden talked his facts. They were basically exact opposites. It is the reason I like numbers. If you accurately reccord the results, it is easy to tell where you are headed. When the numbers need to be adjusted, it is a dead give away that something is amiss and being hidden. There has not been an accurate number reported during the whole of the Biden Administration.
It is why I know they are Communists but think they are gods. You can fake the numbers and everything on the ground is OK. Hubris. If they win, they will destroy us with them.
During the recent debate Trump talked
hisfacts and Biden talked his facts.Good one… thanks.
That was perfect and truth
The debates…Biden Facts were lies…along the lines of “tell a lie often enough…”
Am thinking one reason of the donors and dems sqwaking about Joe…is they suddenly realize that the lies they have been pushing, are not working and that even loyal democrats are not buying into the charade…from Joe’s mental health to the reasons for the rotten economy…
Plus its a 5 day weekend so we need something to fill the news time…?
Would that be akin to Jamie Diamon, Jerome Powell, Larry Fink and Bryan Moynihan all being “concerned” about the national debt NOW after basically giving Biden 3+ years of blank checks and giving Obama 8 years of blank checks? That ship sailed a long, long time ago. Where were your voices in 2020 when Biden ran against Trump? Up until Covid was released from the Wuhan lab on the world (thanks CIA) the US economy was hitting solidly on ALL CYLINDERS and unemployment was way down. But no, you 4 sat in complete silence (and likely supported Biden privately) so don’t come out NOW and start telling us the SKY IS FALLING. For the most part, that sky has been falling for the past 3 1/2 years after a brief respite from the 8 year Obama debacle.
You four have all the credibility of Obama and Clyburn not only declaring their support for Biden but actively working to silence all the naysayers!
Here’s a number: eighty one million. If eighty one million people voted for Biden he would not be in the position he is today. That’s just another reason why we know eighty one million is a lie. Hubris indeed.
And the fact checkers…where are the fact checkers!!! Monica?
I prefer the use of the word fact over “truth”.
Cambridge dictionary:
something that is known to have happened or to exist, especially something for which proof exists, or about which there is information:
No decision will be made until we know all the facts.
fact about I don’t know all the facts about the case.
the fact that I’m not angry that you took my car – it’s just the fact that you didn’t ask me first.
know for a fact He knew for a fact (that) Natalie was lying.
It’s sometimes hard to separate fact from fiction.
A fact requires proof or observence.
Natural laws are facts.
Man-made laws are often in error. There was once a law passed by a town in Russia that the sun would not shine the next day.
Natural laws are from our Creator God and are immutable.
Therefore it is a form of insanity to deny his laws. If you don’t have the right chromosome it is impossible to birth a child.
Right thinking starts biblically and the old testament and especially Proverbs teaches cognitive reasoning and sound decision-making.
Good government and good law comes from morals taught in the bible….ask Blackstone the source of good law.
To expect the morally bankrupt narcissists chosen by popularity contests which our elections have become to rightly govern is at best unreasonable.
To expect good government over a morally bankrupt people is also unreasonable. A revival is needed to right the ship.
There is hope because the artificial, (just like the current interloper in chief) never, ever stands over time.
There is hope because good people will not tolerate much more insanity.
Joe has to go and the people that put him there and the people who lied for him. Our justice system must be mended and the perverters in lawfare sent to jail.
Facts are stubborn things just like this old Virginia mule.
I respect your appreciation for facts, and share it. But there is a deeper, more subtle, perhaps at times more powerful meaning to truth. They are not interchangeable.
”I am the way, the truth, the life.” = GOD
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:1
The law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
John 1:17(?)
Trust God. Fear not.
Truth starts going into belief systems and consensus and can be tainted by emotion.
(Sorry Menagerie but there has been huge amounts of philosophical time spent arguing truth versus fact and perhaps I shouldn’t have brought it up. )
Some philosophers even religious ones make the argument for “absolute truth” which I reject because if there is such an animal as absolute truth then underneath the skin its just a fact by another name.
And by the way a most enjoyable and stimulating Saturday Speculation Menagerie. Thanks.
“Truth starts going into belief systems and consensus and can be tainted by emotion.”- as can facts. “Science”can become a religion. “Statistics” can become the worst kind of lies.
John 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
The word truth is highly misused.
So? Just proves my point about its importance.
The TRUTH is easy to remember…
Tell the truth and you’ll never have to remember what you said.
I am in agreement with you.
“The word truth is highly misused” – especially with the word “my” in front of it.
Epic. Worst phrase ever.
Correct Menagerie, and the reason Truth is more powerful is that it is deeply intertwined with The Almighty. Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life…” God is Truth. So going back to definition #2, “That which is true or in accordance with fact or reality.” we must now deal with reality or that which is really real. Only God has the capacity to know all that is really real. His viewpoint sees all of reality and His sovereignty is also directing all of reality.
Therefore God is the source of all reality and truth. All that is less than truth is a twisting of God’s truth and/or a blindness we have to seeing all the reality around us. Consider Elijah’s servant not seeing the massive army arrayed against them but not able to see the bigger reality of the host of angel armies protecting them.
Our issues with truth are directly related to how we understand ourselves. Since society has “eliminated” God it has erected the individual self in His place. we know have substituted our preferred easy reality for God’s actual reality.
Even so come Lord Jesus!
The “truth” is based on how we interpret the facts.
In modern science, we use the gestalt theory from Kuhn’s book: The Structure Of Scientific Revolutions. When we share a “world view” then we share the gestalt and our definition of truth is the same.
https://www.google.com/books/edition/The_Structure_of_Scientific_Revolutions/3eP5Y_OOuzwC?hl=en&gbpv=1&printsec=frontcover
Now then, I believe if you look into it, it will be an eye opener and will help you understand deeper how we look at things. I know that in my case, when I was a college kid, it really helped me understand not only the Physics they were teaching me but it really explained the why and how I had been taught to look at the World.
I believe you and I look at the World pretty much the same way, hence I recommend the book.
“I reject your facts and substitute my own.” MythBusters S2004E02 The ways of the world.
Many people are on the Liberal side as kids I was full conservative by 15 years old just didn’t know it. Growing up in Fairbanks Alaska Mining was all we knew My first full season at the mine was 15 YO. Went up 1 day after school let out. Came home 1 day before school started. Nobody knew I was young as my size 6’ 180. 7 12 hour days 180 days in a row will do something to you. The Best Blessing I’ve had beside my wife and kids. Truth is what I was looking for then and still seek it. Satan is the Liar and leads all these to a fate more terrible than I can imagine. Back to Liberals and age it used to be people would wisen up as they became older but Satan has fooled em with our culture. RAP music is where I started seeing it and was fooled then also. Now I know I’ve made some serious mistakes and wish for redemption God is good Jesus will come soon.
Hmm… I was born a conservative.
Being born in a close knit extended family working hard to take care of business ( not the mafia… ) will do that to you.
Not even moving across the globe changes that. It’s ingrained in your way of thinking.
Watching and talking with my nephews and nieces reinforced my belief. Everybody works, no nonsense.
I got more than 4000 LPs… not a single rap. I don’t know a single audiophile that can stand rap. That (c)rap.
Your name likely should be “Arcticman”. It gets cold up in Fairbanks.
The check is in the mail. My wife does not understand me. I love you. I need you. I want you. I would never lie to you. You are the best. I am not crazy. I would never do that.
And of course…Joe Biden sold out America and it’s citizens a long time ago!
But not the recent illegals–for them he’s rolled out the red carpet loaded with bennies!)
In the New Testament, Jesus is all about love–to one’s self and to others. The late Pope Benedict spent his life explaining how this love manifests itself in one’s life when one comes to understand the pure love Jesus possessed.
Y’all still ain’t gettin’ it:
John 14:6 > > Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by me.
Jesus of Nazareth is the Truth. Everything else is a fact that either does, or does not, emanate from the Truth.
Lies are facts that are not Truthful. Lies and all liars will be destroyed. Destroyed not by men. Destroyed by God.
Satan does not want to destroy Jerusalem, Jews and Christians for political reasons.
Man-made politics, like man-made religion, is failing.
Here’s the juice:
Isaiah 9:6, 7 > > For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
Like it or lump it, that is the Truth. Godspeed to all of Goodwill. Amen.
We had the great good fortune to be involved in the day to day rearing of three of our nine grandchildren when their mother returned to work for economic reasons.
We saw this as an opportunity to ground them in truths which, as they grew into adulthood, would serve them well. And so we started with this…
“MANNERS MAKETH MAN.”
The twin grandlads were three when we introduced them to this British adage, and because it was alliterative they took great pleasure in repeating it as we taught them that essential quality of a civil life and what good manners entailed. When their younger sister came along, she learned it as well.
As corollary, we also taught them that good manners involved being aware of others; and it was gratifying to see them as they grew understand that there actually were others in this world.
Next month we wave good bye to the now grown young men with impeccable manners as they are off to university. Their sweet sister will follow in two years. In the trite phrase, our work here is done…
Somehow our society has become uncivil, rude, and self centred. I fear that those of all ages will be quite shocked to learn that if the centre of the universe is ever discovered that they will not be in the middle of it.
There are just some truths that make for a functioning civil society….and good manners are at the core of them I have always thought.
Perhaps one day they will become “fashionable” once more.
Start our progeny when they are young, and watch them bloom.
Agreed on the manners. One of my sons took a trip to Delaware to visit friends some years ago. He came home somewhat shocked by how much pushback he got for saying things like yes ma’am and no sir, and even thank you. He said numerous people, as near as I remember, all women, were actually insulted by it, and told him so.
I guess my manners would be hypocritical in such circumstances because I’d probable tell them…ah, let’s leave that to y’all’s imagination.
Anyhow, apparently in certain parts of the country, what we consider manners down here are considered intrusive rudeness or something up there.
Sigh….that’s all I’ve got.
G’day Betsy!
I’ve experienced (progressive) women blessing me out for holding the door for them……..bless their little pea picking hearts!
Both grandsons have held many a door open with many surprised thanks given.
But also women…it’s always women…who have walked through without a thank you or even a sideways look. And that’s in Texas! Ah well, I told him…keep on keeping on. You are accountable for your actions and not for those of others.
Yes, Monti. Bless their hearts…
Once upon a time, I was walking to the Library in the rain. I was wearing my Goretex rain parka so I was fine.
As I reached the door, I noticed a young lady walking behind me, no umbrella, getting drenched. So I opened the door and stepped aside to let her in.
There she stopped, growled at me and called me things. But she would not walk out of the rain.
I shrugged, went in and physically pushed the spring loaded, heavy door shut.
She must have stood there for a minute…. getting wet.
Whatever.
Well played!
Monti…glad to hear that there are still those who do that…Thank you!
I wonder what would happen if you let the door close on them? Same thing no doubt….
Do what’s right.
Carry on with the compliments. When you get pushback, invite the offended to come to a southern beach town.

NYC transplant here, and I’ve had a mensch or two since arriving. In addition to men of other Faiths. Most men over 70 who were born in the USA have both military service and faith. In NYC we have all faiths.
A true mensch for me, once shut down a discussion, about slacking off on dressing for work. He stated:
“I prefer formal”
That’s one of those understated powerhouse slams. The attitude puts you into the big leagues of life more quickly.
That formal is better is not restricted to dressing for work. Formal is better, period.
I like the moniker.
I used to read a great deal of self-help books from the old school: eg, Norman Vincent Peale, Og Mandino
One thing I remember reading from Og Mandino, something like this: “if my kindness – or was it positive attitude or cheerfulness – is not reciprocated or welcomed, let it flow back to purify and soften my own heart” . . . something to that effect!
I’ll never forget moving to Delaware from the deep South and taking my first job. This was in 1984. Yes, people were actually, and severely, offended by my manners. Conversely, I raised my children mostly in northern subdivisions and, let me tell you, it is hard to inculcate a high level of manners without the appropriate community. I did my best. Then took a hiding when we went to family reunions. UGH
We taught our kids to:
(1) Behave at a good restaurant. Use the utensil, sit tight, thank the waiter, talk quietly.
(2) Behave in public. No rants, no crying for something.
(3) Behave in an airplane. We bought them seats when they were one year old -didn’t take them before then.
(4) Behave in the back of the car. So many timeouts.
(5) BEHAVE at ALL times.
Today, they’ve grown up to fine young people. With good work ethics. They’re not perfect, but I assure you that the crying little brat in sitting, for free, on the moron on 9B behind you…. wasn’t our kid.
Note…. I always had a hint my daughter always ordered the single most expensive thing in the menu. My wife always tsk’d tsk’d me. When my daughter turned 22 she owed up… “the most expensive item has to be good“. Anyhow, I guess it was a small price to pay and we always shared our meals… 😉
How funny…we’ve just had this conversation about being a guest at a meal someone else is paying for! Something I’ve neglected to pass on but will before our lads leave for university in a month.
One thing I did tell them when they were about ten and so had no expectations it sank in…
I told them that if ever they were walking down a street with a young lady that they should walk on the outside, the street side. Years later the boys (17 at the time) took a female friend to downtown Ft Worth for a nice meal for her birthday.
They both had a word with the manager, telling him the occasion. And the manager arranged a lovely dessert for her, gratis. So thoughtful and sweet.
But the best part? One of my grandsons took me aside days later to tell me that as they were walking to the restaurant, he walked on the street side, remembering all those years ago what I had hurriedly told him.
My heart soared. You never know what will sink in.
That’s the ‘danger’ side.. why women live longer than men.. 😍
Tee hee 😉
Sounds like you raised me!!!!!
Keep the manners, lose the friends in Delaware.
I attempt, each time I hear it, to explain that “you’re welcome” is a much more meaningful response than “no problem” .
Me too, Sturmudgeon!
”No problem” response shows lack of manners.
Yes!
Manners are a show of respect…
IMHO…this lack of respect is another attempt to bring down, those who are gracious and well, well mannered….which are characteristics of a ‘higher’ class of society…which money and or wealth does not necessarily define (you and I know that)…but to some Marxists, it does…an equating of manners with wealth, wealth, of which they are opposed….
What a sad experience for your son. I hope he recovered from it as I imagine he felt very ‘strange’…
Am willing to bet that there are many in DC, libs etc, who demand good manners from their own offspring.
Bless their hearts.
Where in Delaware?
Your daughter and grands are so blessed to have you in their lives! What a wonderful story, this is truly what live is about: raising children in faith and Jesus’ example.
Thank you, Jen. In truth, they were and remain our blessing.
“These are the children God has given us. God has been good to us.” 🙏🏻 😌
Lovely post!
Our grandparents raised us,
as is the case for many in those days.
We were given all we needed, food, shelter and genuine affection.
However looking back on it, maybe the greatest gift my brothers and I were given, was manners.
Granny would literally smack or throw something at us if we were ill mannered, swore ( which sadly I now do all to often)
or were disrespectful.
I still remember early on riding a bus here in Canada, and getting up to offer a “lady” a seat.
She berated me and refused the offer…
I was young and still polite..
Not sure how I would react now.
Cheers!
🏴🏴🏴
Thank you, my friend. You we’re probably too shocked to react. I must own that I’ll never understand the metaphorical back of someone’s hand for a gracious and thoughtful gesture.
(Glad you put “lady” in inverted commas.)
Dekester,
Same here! Smack upside the head
by my mother.
What was worse was one of
the grannies and their disapproving
“looks”.
Those “looks” were enough to stop me
in my tracks ⚠️
Betsy,
I always associate manners with Respect and
being polite.
Respect for others and yourself.
That is how we were raised in my family.
We were taught manners.
I believe those that rebuke, or do not
recognize manners, were not raised
in the same way, and usually lack
self respect.
You treat others how you expect to
be treated.
Manners are the backbone of a
civilized society.
And I will not even start on
the atrocious table manners of
young people at restaurants 😡🤢
Every word you wrote, gypsy, true, true, true.
I’ve noticed for many young people today the truth is about “feelings” when they declare “this is MY truth” in order to shut down a discussion. More thoughts: my 18 year old dear daughter is working up in Maine at a summer camp and tells me half the kids take psychiatric medications and/or are plagued with anxiety or panic attacks. I wonder is some of the root cause is permissive parenting. She mentioned the consequence for minor misbehaving among the campers is doing 10 pushups. One camper snuck in a cellphone to call his mom and the mom complained. Where are we as a society where everything, including behaving, is optional? Sorry for lack of brevity and thank you for allowing this rant!!
I share your concern for the mental welfare of our children. I have lots,of grandchildren and we are involved with their school and athletic functions a lot. So many young children are not mentally well, and not resilient at all.
My Mom and I were visiting with my brother and his wife who came to visit last month . . . Mom and I were recollecting the shipwreck we were in when our 50′ yacht crashed into some rocks about 2:30 in the morning. My dad had fallen asleep at the wheel and the ship drifted into a very big rock jutting out. We all tumbled out of our berths when my dad fell off his perch when the ship went into the rock, he hit his head and then was very awake, shouting “General Quarters! General Quarters!” (he was a radio man on an ocean-going tug in the South Pacific during WWII).
Anyway, Mom and I were reminding my brother how grown up he was – he set about to bring down both the lifeboat and the dinghy, hoisting them down to the water so that he could row Mom and my brother and me to the shore to wait for the Coast Guard to take us to Avalon and Dad would have a boat to wait in by the wreck while waiting for it to get towed to a drydock in San Pedro. My brother was about 10 years old, going on 11. His other main concern was being sure that he got his books for school because the teacher had told the students that they were out of print and to take good care of them (he had been doing homework the night before up in the wheelhouse).
My little brother and I did “our job” and quietly went up to the bench at the table in the wheelhouse and started praying (we were 8 and 6).
No one running around like chickens with their heads cut off as the water flooded into the galley, lifting the teak wood fruit bowl from the counter, apples and peaches now bobbing around in the water, the engine room was taking in water too – Dad managed to get on the radio to call for help and give our location. My brother first offloaded my little brother and me onto the beach (while Mom was still on the ship) and told us to sit up on that little bluff and wait, which we obediently did, calling it our Eagle’s Nest . . . then he went back and got Mom and we all waited for the Coast Guard, with a flashlight to signal them.
So it all worked out all right; in retrospect we realized our Guardian Angels were working overtime – but there was the character of my big brother, too, that was already well-formed, I thought he was a like a “seasoned sailor” the way he did things during that middle-of-the night, so calm and cool but quickly too – with “deliberate speed”.
Mom said that once upon a time, not THAT long ago (three generations, she thought), children WERE little grown ups at ten years old, doing as much work as they could do – she recalled two of our great-grands (on different sides of the family) who lost their parents when they were ten years old and worked to help keep everything together, responsible and growing up very quickly to be able to get as much work done in every day that they could.
Bombs away….
Pearl Habor
Warning call
That’s a great story. I was also raised by WW2 vet and understand being raised with that kind of independence and resilience. We were raised to get the job done and not make a fuss, crisis or not.
Part of the problem may lie with parents who can’t wait to shuffle their children off to camp every summer. Whatever happened to entire families spending quality time together?
Nowadays, grandparents live over here, their grown children are scattered to the winds and the grands are latchkey kids. How very sad!
My husband has fond memories growing up with his grandparents living in close proximity. Grandma moved in with the family after grandpa passed on. These days families seem to lack those important connections.
I will never forgive Democrats. It would be like forgiving Satan.
I think of those 51 Intelligence Officials and how they were obviously so compromised – I hope they are sweating it out and having worried conversations about whose fault all that was. Such a cynical abuse of power and position that was.
Speaking of truth, here’s two and a half minutes worth of it. Pass it on.
Thanks. Passing on this video to others may bring realization of one more ‘Truth”.
Starts with the individual.
“Tell the Truth, or, at least, don’t lie.”
Opens up a whole new (and better) world.
Without sounding preachy, I just want add: What I have learned and continue to learn on a daily basis is that there is only one Truth: Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ is our standard. When we deviate from this, we fall into problems.
A favorite quote:
“Truth is incontrovertible. Panic may resent it. Ignorance may deride it. Malice may distort it. But there it is.” WINSTON CHURCHILL
Satan is the Father of Lies so I don’t think he liked Winston Churchill, either!
In this “somewhat rant,” I really zero-in on this core phrase: (emphasis mine)
“Every American, right, left, Democrat or Republican, liberal or conservative, really ought to unite in digging through muck and filth and coverup for answers about why the government has been run by proxy, and who is running it.
And yeah, for us, we saw this way back, before Obama even, but let’s just deal with today and the “wink, wink” crowd who just got outraged. Okay, man up, own it, walk back from the brink and fix things.”
—
Now – let’s start looking back towards, “America in the 1830’s.” In these times where (of course) “free information transfer” was non-existent, the country had begun to realize that its governance had “gone irretrievably wrong.” (Very much like the pivotal first-to-second book in Isaac Asimov’s Foundation Trilogy.) Suddenly, “the guideposts” were fracturing.
Very different times. Yet, history has much to teach us (today) about how they responded to it (then).
—
“My guess” is, I think, “just like ‘Ike’s.'” The World War II was over, and “American industry” had won. And, from it, a “military industrial(!)” complex had just been born. And its only purpose was: its own preservation, and expansion. “War” was now abstract. “War” was now a product.
To be sold to every new generation, who remembered the “knee-stories” of what their forefathers had experienced, but who had never actually experienced anything of it. In fact, the less they knew of it, the more of your products they might buy. (“Battlefield Management Systems,” anyone? On sale today!!)
These “people who are now running by proxy” are scions of the very selfsame thing that “Ike” once tried to warn us about. They are now both “hideously rich” and “utterly ignorant,” and: this is why.
“In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist. We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together.”
P.S.: “Battlefield Management System?” You got it. It’s even got a WikiPedia page now:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battlefield_management_system
Nothing to see here, because “of course, we can’t possibly lose …”
(I idly wonder if we managed to sell such a system to the [. . . .] Or did we just target the United States Congress?)
We are hit 24/7with a blizzard of lunacy and lies being sold by their enemy MSM projected as the “new normal” …many are being stunned into the stark reality that the swamp and the uniparty are nothing but perverted shakedown artist and people are waking up. They use their “s – elected” positions to rake in as much graft as possible, establish political fiefdoms. To be compromised is to be powerful and controllable in the swamp, their reality. Their entire existence is a lie!
Nothing since the assassination of JFK has anything to do with truth… LBJ, escalation in Vietnam, Immigration Act of 1965, The Great Society etc, has been done for the good of the USA and its people. Most of the insipid “laws” and dozens of extra-constitutional agencies that have been foisted on us are all designed as workarounds of our Constitution a contract from the Founders to the future…truth. We’ve allowed a handful of monsters to take control of the USA and the West as a whole, while selling us off to the highest bidder.
“They are few, we are many” When we put our giant foot down and Just Say No! This all ends, screeching halt, full stop!
Truth: “If God is for us, who can be against us?”
Retired Magistrate here: I grew up in the hills of Southern Ohio in a steel town located next to the Ohio River.
Dad was a traffic manager (it wasn’t until he died that I realized how little he made) and Mom was a stay at home Mom who managed what little Dad made very well. Although we didn’t have much materially, Dad always told me “your word is your bond”; that is more important than any material item that you might have.
It always saddened me when I was hearing divorce cases the number of spouses, who as soon as the wedding vows were exchanged, started cheating on their spouse. Why? Well, because the spouse gained weight, got sick, couldn’t satisfy all the needs of the other spouse, etc. In some instances, the couples were still paying off wedding expenses.
No, there really isn’t my truth and your truth: there is the truth whether we like it or not.
My husband used to play golf with men who think that Biden is great, that the economy is doing well and Trump is awful. As long as they get to play golf, bowl and get their meds everything is wonderful. My husband has tried to tell them the truth about Biden, the economy, etc. but they just don’t want to hear it. So he no longer plays golf with them; it just isn’t worth it.
Our school systems have taught, along with many of our churches, that everything is relative; i.e., it depends on the situation and whether or not it benefits the person or not; we have a whole generation that was raised that way along with numerous older folk.
Is there hope, of course; people are starting to wake up with the truth hits them in the pocketbook. Is it too late; I don’t know but we will find out in November.
Your husband can play golf with me, anytime he wishes to.
I read a book by Adrian Tchaikovsky recently where he talked about there being two types of truth in parts of Africa. They had names for these two types of truths, both of which escape me at the moment, but I got the gist of it all. One was an absolute truth, and the other was a moral truth.
A potential leader’s lineage had come into question. If that potential leader was found to have the incorrect ancestor, he would not have been allowed to lead; however, at the same time, if the other potential leader had been allowed to rule, the tribe would have been sold off as slaves to the English.
One of the religious leaders stated that the first potential leader had familial connections to the great ancestor, but a scribe within that tribe found irrefutable evidence indicating otherwise. The scribe brought that evidence to a religious leader’s attention because he felt that the religious leaders should know the truth in forming their decisions. The religious leader said he already knew the familial claims were false. This is where he explained the two types of truths to the scribe. One truth would lead to the tribe staying true to their roots; whereas, the other truth would lead to the tribe’s destruction, so in this instance, the moral truth outweighed the importance of the absolute truth.
thanks for the opportunity to completely disagree with Tchaikovsky’s fable!😂🤣
there is truth in only one form – absolute, objective truth.
it may be hard, ugly, worrisome, inconvenient, perplexing, whatever.
you may make a moral DECISION after learning a truth,
but that does not create a new category, subset, or ownership of the truth.
(get very cranky with the “my truth” set, too –
those are your FEELINGS, dear, not the truth.)
in the example you cite, there is still only the truth –
a DECISION was made to seat one individual over another.
Absolute truth means the truth, the WHOLE truth, and nothing but the truth. Absolute truth does not exist on Earth because people cannot handle it.
Jim Carrey’s “Liar Liar” is a good example of somebody who says the absolute truth:
This world hates the truth. The truth is dangerous. That is why the two witnesses in the Book of Revelation will be put to death, because of the truths they will tell.
Now when they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up from the Abyss will attack them, and overpower and kill them. Their bodies will lie in the public square of the great city—which is figuratively called Sodom and Egypt—where also their Lord was crucified. For three and a half days some from every people, tribe, language and nation will gaze on their bodies and refuse them burial. The inhabitants of the earth will gloat over them and will celebrate by sending each other gifts, because these two prophets had tormented those who live on the earth.
Did you want your popcorn with butter or lightly salted?
Yes
Why are parents of young girls allowing/tolerating/encouraging them to dress like whores?
***I don’t have a cow. Where can I find anything other than non-fat buttermilk???
Put a quarter cup of low fat cultured buttermilk into a quart or more of high fat milk, leave it on the counter for two days, and in two days, you’ll have your high fat buttermilk. It tastes much better too.
They can’t teach what they don’t know. Modesty is a forgotten virtue.
***Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free? No need to buy a cow these days.
The truth is reality based. Pretending is living a lie, for fear of admitting what’s real. This administration loves pretending, as a cover for their corruption, deception and fraudulent behavior.
Visiting family in So.Cal. For Independence Day. My cousin made a beautifully decorated dining table with flags, free copies of the constitution for anyone who wanted one, glasses with the names of signers of the Declaration of Independence, T-shirts with messages about freedom AND a life sized cutout out of President Trump. We played “How Well Do You Know Your Country” Trivia. It was a lovely and much appreciated addition to the usual July 4 fare, swimming and fireworks.
One phrase I have always hated. “Perception is reality.” It never has and never will be. This ties into ‘… accepted as true’. Perceptions can be changed while reality can not! Perceptions may be difficult to overcome sometimes, but reality can have a really nasty bite.
I’ve been working on someone to bring them around to reality. She gets more of her ‘news’ from PBS. Needless to say she was surprised about Biden’s cognitive decline. I told her that if she paid more attention, viewed videos or listened to other sources it would not have been a surprise. Reminding her that she is ill informed, but unfortunately she still votes. She is the perfect Dem, believes what the left tells her. Speaks ill of Trump, but when asked for any specifics or examples she folds like a cheap chair.
No doubt. “They” could put out an ad and say something, like hopping on your right foot in place increases your virility, like masks, the next day you’d see people all around, in place, hopping on their right foot.
Dr. Steve Farrar on Psalm 23: How it from the perspective of shepherd and his sheep.
His conclusion; sheep are stupid.
Or John 10:14 “I am the good shepherd…”
The devil knows this as well, claps his hands! we all head in the same direction, like…sheep.
Perception is Reality
yeah, maybe sheep are stupid….But He left the 99 to go find me…
Right…ha. : )
Your comment especially caught my attention as I know several of the type you described in Southern West Virginia.
These types listen to NPR radio. Still watch the “Local News” followed by the MSM “Nightly News”stuck in the old habit passed on by their parents. Some, mostly women watch the “network” garbage “morning shows like “The View”, etc. and get their Trump TDS from this propaganda.
Although, not nearly the majority, there are still a significant amount of these uninformed, but otherwise normal people who go to church, work, own small businesses, etc. They will agree with you on major issues in a discussion until you mention Trump, voting a different way or for a different party, then they go off the rails. Next you will hear “My grandparents were Democrats, my parents were Democrats, and I will be a Democrat because Democrats support the working class”
One last observation. In a super majority “red ” State like WV, even most conservative voters remain uninformed by not taking the time to vet “Republican” candidates or incumbent voting records before they vote. They vote for name recognition, garbage TV, billboards, radio ads and the”good ole boy RINO network.
Yes this election they will vote for Donald J Trump 85% + but then send a down ballot of do nothing RINO cowards to Congress that will help thwart the MAGA agenda.
That’s how WV and many other “red” states end up with spineless squishes and “leadership” suckasses like Senator Smelly Moore Capito, (Ms. Glitch McConnell) Congress Critter follow the leader “bipartisan squish” Carol Miller (Ms. Kevin McCarthy and Mike Johnson)……And now a new one coming to replace worthless “How Low Will You Go Joe” Manchin with an even more worthless Democrat, turned Republican….Gov. Jim “BabyDog” Justice. Covid tyrant, who won’t pay his taxes, wages, bank notes, etc that he owes. And… The beat goes on.
There’s some honest truth to contemplate.
Truth, NOTHING has changed since the last election was stolen , or to put it in a more truthful way our votes were stolen, not counted and or over whelmed by other cheating methods…….
Another truth is I will not waste my time “voting” unless I see people who committed these crimes put in jail, and some safeguards put in place to assure the crimes against the voting public have been mitigated.
How does “not voting” improve our situation? That’s like saying divorce is so widespread why bother getting married? Hearts will break so why take a chance on love?
Remember that when President Trump was elected in 2016 the voters had bested all their cheating algorithms. Without that leap of faith by voters, our world would be in an even darker place than it is today.
We, the people, finally broke through those decades, yea centuries, of corruption and abuse.
Keep the faith. We *will* get our country back.
Everybody makes their choices in life, which is totally fine. Just make sure you live with the consequences of your decisions.
If you sit back and allow the Communists into power without doing anything about it and then they come to take your kids from you, take your bank account, send you to prison, forcibly vaccinate you with untested poisons, and/or send you and your children to fight their wars, just look back to this day and you’ll realize you have only yourself to blame.
1. First I resisted the lies.
2 Then I renounced the lies.
3. Then I rebuked the lies.
It took a while for me to get from number 1 to number 3. Big difference.
I found out just yesterday Ukraine has enormous deposits of LITHIUM that is worth many TRILLIONS of dollars!
That is in addition to coal, rare earths, oil, agriculture and cheap labor. Do these revelations explain:
-Why Biden invested so much time, energy and family getting into Ukraine and positions of power?
-Sen Lindsay Graham’s position to “just take it”?
-Why almost everybody in Kongress is so anxious to get it into our hands and not Putin’s?
-Kongress rewrote the Draft laws to include males AND females?
-Why Biden and Nuland bombed the Nord Stream II pipeline, causing extreme pressures in Europe?
-Why the Dems cannot, at any cost, permit Trump to spoil their plans of great wealth, fame and power?
-Why we hear so much political bull 💩 about NATO, democracy, supporting Zelensky, getting Samantha Powers etal to destabilize the critical battle-field countries of Eastern Europe and Turkey?
-ARE YOUR CHILDREN GOING TO WAR?
It’s a “banker’s war”
Control of the World’s resources.

Lithium is prescribed to people in order to calm their minds.
It has been in short supply for that use for some years now.
See the correlation?
Nearly everything, and possibly actually everything *they* teach and or promote about health is an inversion of Truth. I live an exceptionally healthy life by doing the opposite of that which is aggressively promoted.
I consume 4+ raw eggs per day. I consume what most would consider an enormous amount of salt, I eat as much rare red meat a day as tolerable according to my appetite. I maintain an intermittent fasting calorie consumption schedule. I take zero pharmaceutical products, neither OTC nor prescription. I eat butter like it was candy….
I also never use sunscreen and get as much sun daily as my available time permits. I drink as much raw dairy as availability allows.
I could go on and on, the point is though that at 59 years of age, I suffer from zero poor health conditions, I work a physically demanding job 50+ hours a week and haven’t missed a single day of work due to illness or even feeling unwell for over 15 years. That includes what I assumed to be Covid during the scamdemic. It was tough, but I managed.
Do not be deceived by these monsters.
why did i think of this when i read the article ?
Rows and floes of angel hair
And ice cream castles in the air
And feather canyons everywhere
I’ve looked at clouds that way
But now they only block the sun
They rain and snow on everyone
So many things I would have done
But clouds got in my way
I’ve looked at clouds from both sides now
From up and down, and still somehow
It’s cloud illusions I recall
I really don’t know clouds at all
Moons and Junes and Ferris wheels
The dizzy dancing way you feel
As every fairy tale comes real
I’ve looked at love that way
But now it’s just another show
You leave ’em laughing when you go
And if you care, don’t let them know
Don’t give yourself away
I’ve looked at love from both sides now
From give and take, and still somehow
It’s love’s illusions I recall
I really don’t know love at all
Tears and fears and feeling proud
To say “I love you” right out loud
Dreams and schemes and circus crowds
I’ve looked at life that way
But now old friends are acting strange
They shake their heads, they say I’ve changed
Well something’s lost, but something’s gained
In living every day
I’ve looked at life from both sides now
From win and lose and still somehow
It’s life’s illusions I recall
I really don’t know life at all
I’ve looked at life from both sides now
From up and down and still somehow
It’s life’s illusions I recall
I really don’t know life at all
Nailed it.
Why aren’t parents trustworthy enough to teach reading, writing, and math to their own kids at home, but they know enough medicine and psychology to “understand” that their non verbal 18 month old baby is transgender?
Multiple successive generations of Americans have proved themselves dependable to make the stupid choices, rather than the right ones.
The ruling class therefore gives society unlimited access to stupid choices while making it harder to choose the right thing.
Timely rant for these times we are in.
It reminded me of Pontius Pilate’s question to Jesus “What is truth?”
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_18:38
We know it when we see it, when we hear it, when we live it, and more often than not when it knocks us off our feet; eventually one learns to recognize truth after the hard lessons learning to heed that inner conscience, that inner voice.
There’s a whole generation of young people raised on falseness and illusion. Hard knocks is what awaits them and sadly many won’t have been seasoned with the right toughness, later called tough love, to know how deal with it when faced with reality. Sad. You’re right, both young ladies and young men have been fed a ton of hokum and it won’t be pretty when they realize the lies they’ve been fed. A lot are outright brainwashed.

I had to look at the masthead of his post…. didn’t sound like Sundance… Oh.. OK, sure, it figures. 😉
In the spirit of your post…
First off, truth is actually relative, it is based on a value and moral system. Within that system it is absolute. That said, Americans and Westerners largely share the same value system, and humans, by and by, share the same. It’s based on survival of the species. We don’t steal, murder, etc…. It’s not good for survival.
We also do all kinds of things to ensure survival… like taking care of our children, marriages, etc. Sorry if the LBGJTDRUNXFGUSD^## crowd doesn’t like it, but it’s all about having -and raising- good kids into productive, responsible adults.
Now then… EV.. well, not all EVs are the same. You pointed the Battery EV, the BEV. We’ve owned more than a few EVs over the years. Hydrogen fuel cell, parallel hybrid, serial hybrid, plug in hybrids. IMHO, they are a great alternative to the ICE with mechanical transmission vehicle. And they don’t have those huge batteries. It’s all about the driving characteristics of an electric motor driving the wheels directly: no throttle delay, no complex multi gear transmission.
Mind you, I have the hybrids (and had the FCEV) because of the way they drive (lots of torque) and at one point they had car pool access stickers that allowed solo usage of our car pool lanes on the freeway. If you’ve seen our SoCal freeways, the 405, then you’ll understand that a car pool sticker is worth 1000 bhp and 65 mph.
Liberals stupid… not necessarily. I consider them light weighs. They don’t seem to pay much attention to what they do.
BTW, I never met an honest liberal engineer… biologist, yes.. most most scientists and doctors I know are strictly Classic American Liberals ( NOT modern Libertarians either ).
OH… my great grandfather was a butcher…. Beyond Meat is bad for our business and, let’s face it, it’s a Soylent Green… I bought some really nice Prime Beef Ribeyes for this weekend…. I think you can figure out my opinion of Beyond Not Meat… Ugh.
Excellent!
Thank you, Sundance!
Especially about your truth and my truth . . . no! There is only THE truth! It isn’t “fungible” . . . that’s what my dad would have called a 50 cent word (many years ago).
Our government is trying to kill us. One more example.
https://newswithviews.com/fluorides-a-long-term-depopulation-program/
The absolute worst part of Depopulation is that because the Human Race has been fruitful we’ve been able to go to the stars, understand matter, use magnetic field to generate power. All these accomplishments began with a single person.
Had the Progressives had their way many of these Inventors, Scientists, and Visionaries would never had been born.
These Elites are trying to deny the birth of the next Einstein, Edison and Tesla, because they know that a stagnant Humanity is a Humanity that can be ENSLAVED.
By way of abortion, that may very well have happened….
@Aggiegirl, there have been quite a few Entrepreneurs who were “Unwanted” Children — Steve Jobs who is BELOVED by the Progressives is one of them.
And Nicola Tesla was also adopted — and he was a greater inventor than Thomas Edison.
If the Progs got their wish… they’d never have been born.
There are also studies that disprove the anti cavity benefit…fluoride also causes a few types of arthritis..
Cows are entirely good for the planet and for humans. End of story, full stop but especially when raised according to their nature which is on uncrowded pasture.
My Jersey that I have on a half acre lot and buy hay for her to produce milk is also good but more expensive than it ought to be. Our move to Georgia will fix that.
“If you lie down with dogs, you’re going to get fleas.”
The powers that be in the Democrat Party made their choice in 2020 to go all-in with Joe Biden. The reassured their voters that he was cognitively at the top of his game (he was mildly better in 2020 then he is in 2024 but not significantly). They NEEDED Covid so they could run his campaign from the basement or from organized campaign “rallies” where the tv cameramen outnumbered the loyal supporters by 3 to 1 (and with only a dozen circles, that isn’t many). They surrounded him every time he went to Marine 1 so he wouldn’t have to answer questions. They put him on the short staircase for AF1 to lessen the possibility of a serious fall. When Jen Psaki grew weary of circling back with cover-up stories they replaced her with KJP–which is akin to replacing Biden with Harris (combined you would have difficulty seeing with the nightlight that these two bulbs would produce). Now, they are up in arms because Joe is showing signs of weakening cognition. Those fleas must be really itching if you are just now seeing what was obvious to most people–at least to the ones who don’t put party before country and definitely to those who have ever had someone with dementia/Alzheimer’s.
As for liberal stupidity, they have become so comfortable in that skin that they are willing to step into the viper pit without any protection. While there, this time they have been bitten and the bite may render them unrecoverable. Maybe they would like some popcorn (before it’s been popped) and then have the heat applied to themselves. They made their bed. Time to crawl in (if 4 o’clock is too early, the time is irrelevant since they mostly don’t have Sundowners but this mistake is completely of their own making (right Obama? right Cllyburn? right DNC?)
I grew up with aphorisms as the moral basis of my world. Those little sayings grandmother would recite as she folded paper fly swatters and paper naval hats for me.
Two wrongs don’t make a right.
You get more flies with honey than with vinegar.
Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.
It’s better to give than to receive.
Don’t count your chickens until they’re hatched.
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
If you can’t say something nice about somebody, don’t say anything at all.
It doesn’t matter what the other person does. It only matters what you do.
Don’t try to get back at someone who tries to do you harm. The poison in their soul is only hurting them right now. Don’t let it poison you, as well.
Doing a bad thing doesn’t make you a bad person. It just makes you a good person who did a bad thing.
If the fashion is to paint your ears gold and you want to do it, too, wait until everyone has painted their ears gold, and then paint yours a light gold.
I was thrilled to discover that the grandmother I never knew was also a devotee of aphorisms. Small bits of truth cloaked in humor.
Grandmother Catharine Burnett Bell, the first woman publisher in Colorado. From her book of aphorisms, “Hot Shots,” 1908.

“Doing a bad thing doesn’t make you a bad person. It just makes you a good person who did a bad thing.”
Whew!
Yes, to all of those ! Plus 2 extra from my Grandmother: “A little bit of powder, a little bit of paint, makes a girl look like just what she ain’t. ” and “Nice girls do not frequent bars.”
The second one I heard every time we walked by the bar on the way to the dime store.
Mother was innocence walking the earth. She was surrounded by a bright glow that let her see a wonderful world. So on the way home from church each Sunday, we stopped at a bar on our way home for a hamburger and a cherry coke. She didn’t take a drink thru my whole childhood. On the day I married, she bought a bottle of Manhattan mix and had one drink. The next morning she put it in her scrambled eggs, poured some on her ice cream, and didn’t drink again until I offered her a 1961 Lafite Rothschild. I collected wine by sniff. I could do horizontal and vertical sniffings. But never drank a drop because of mother’s warnings. She was the most precious soul that I was privileged to know, as well as the most fascinating.
As a Southerner my Bigmomma 5’2″ packed a wallop and would say; “God don’t like ugly” or “it’s gonna hurt me than it’s gonna hurt you”
I loved that little woman with all my heart, she was tough, still miss her. : )
Grandpa was Texas. Sherman, near Dallas. I was raised from infancy with “Flush the toilet. Dallas needs the water.”
What was Joe Biden holding in his hand in yesterday’s interview? It looked like a pen, but he wasn’t writing anything and didn’t even have a pad of paper as a prop. I wonder what it was…
A prop to control his neurological condition and suppress any tremors. I have noticed the same thing several other times.
I remain skeptical that there is really any food (animal or vegetable) on the planet….that is truly organic in the sense that it is free of GMO, additives, etc. AND while we’re at it I’m skeptical that NOT a single one of the thousands of doom and gloom predictions about global warming has come true in the past 50 years since politicians have been harping about Climate change!
Why would you be “skeptical that NOT a single one of the thousands of doom and gloom predictions about global warming has come true in the past 50 years since politicians have been harping about Climate change!”
It’s TRUE.
I’m wondering if truth hit the young black gal waiting in line to greet Joe.Her face expressed excitement that he was making his way toward her shaking hands with everyone. She looked at him, smiled nicely, and Joe skipped right past her. He shook hands with the lady beside her plus others there. Yes, it makes a good video for DJT to use but I hope this gal now looks more closely at Trump’s help & support to ppl of all colors vs Joe’s dismal record.
That made my blood boil. I know he is a racist POS but I did feel bad for that lovely young woman who had believed the lies.
.
Especially him being the first black woman president . . .
My initial assessment of relationships and the determining criteria to invest in them:
Ask for what you need and observe.
1). Those that can’t won’t. 2) Those that can will.
Discard #1 and don’t get confused by any potential.
Invest in #2. They have your back.
Confession: I live alone and have ghosted many family members, even though I am a #2.
Great piece. Thank you.
“But before that, look into lithium mining.”
You forgot to mention that even after all that, the batteries don’t magically create electricity. They actually have to be charged. And usually that charge comes from… yeah you guessed it.
Assume you are being lied to and manipulated, start from there. Act accordingly. Poker face, don’t tell people what you know ,this is a game. If you let on that you know what is going on the other players will change the way that they play. Act in a way that gives them confidence that everything is fine and the game is going their way. Every human being can read your face; try it on a toddler. You can scare them, make them cry or make them laugh by nothing more than the expression on their face and your body language. Learn to control that. Everything you do should be to give you an advantage. sometimes that means getting distance or getting out of there. Sometimes that means getting a better position or obtaining something that gives you a physical/kinetic advantage. Learn how to act dumb as in unaware, and how to smile when you are scared or mad. Think of that toddler, you want to make them laugh at you inside and ignore you as you move on. Learn to win not show off or act out.
This is really good advice. Children who have suffered abuse know this well, and learned it early. It’s a valuable lesson. Unfortunately, it’s easier to hide negative emotions, pain, etc. than it is to smile and be approachable. Also, I think it becomes harder for victims of abuse to be authentic and open in their facial expressions and body language.
The opposite of a correct (true) statement is a false statement. But the opposite of a profound truth may well be another profound truth.
– Niels Bohr
A = A
or…..
2 + 2 = 4
That is all.
Hmm….
A == A.
True.
2+2 = 4…
Not necessarily, it depends on the number system. In a base 4 system, 2+2 = 10.
“A” works because it’s a well known abstract symbol for algebra…. so it supports the equality operator.
“2” is a very specific symbol in number theory, so when you invoke the addition operator, your statement is no longer true, specially as you also invoke “4”.
The addition operator is affected by the numeric system as you have used it. The identity operator is simpler.
How about “Trump is a threat to democracy!” It should always be restated as, “Trump is a threat to democrats. Democracy will do just fine.”
He most certainly is NOT a threat to the Republic.
My heavens, big money Biden Donors hosted fundraisers for Mr. Biden and they knew he was not all there. They kept quiet and pretended.
Big media reporters and far left wing pundits traveled with Mr. Biden and reported on his wonderfulness. They kept quiet and pretended.
Normies, like us watched Biden’s garbled speech, heard woppers that spilled from his mouth like a fountain , watched as he fell up stairs, tripped and fell on level ground. We knew he was not ok. We knew evil Biden was not in complete control of himself or our government. Totally repulsive, a fraud.
Joe Biden was the choice of Democrat voters in every Presidential primary.
Now to save democracy, big donors, elected Democrats, left wing big media don’t want Joe Biden to be the Democrat nominee. That’s right they want to subvert ‘democracy’. Sickos and hypocrites that is who they are.
