One can do this type of “fasting.” It has the approval of many doctors. Another name for it is “gut rest.”
Stop eating at 3:00 p.m. each day. You can make it 5:00 p.m. if you wish. Eat breakfast at a normal time for you and eat lunch, as well.
Again…stop eating at 3:00 p.m. or 5:00 p.m. Do this every day. Your digestive system will love you for it.

When I was in my twenties, I did some 3-day fasts. The first two days were a little uncomfortable, but by the third day an amazing function switches on.
From a chemical standpoint, it is the mitochondria of the cells changing from using glucose for energy to using ketone bodies (from our fat stores). Actually, this happens on ordinary days between meals, too. Even skinny people have a great deal of energy in the fat, that is how some are able to run marathons. People with diabetes or cancer may or may not be able to fast, I have read conflicting thoughts, probably due to how much individuals differ.
From a spiritual standpoint, there is no hunger whatsoever, and a slightly altered awareness with good clarity of thought. No more cooking, washing dishes, buying groceries (if you are single)! It’s amazing how much time gets freed up from not eating. People have fasted voluntarily and involuntarily throughout history.
Toxins kept from the major organs by being stored in fat may be released. The digestive system gets a rest. Defective proteins may be broken down.
The main spiritual significance of fasting is the seriousness of our purpose, by putting aside our right to eat.

It’s crossed my mind that occasionally trolls come here and post wacko stuff just so they can take a screen shot and post it elsewhere to make us look like a bunch of nutcases.
Fasting and extra prayer are not wacky or unusual. The history of them and the good to mind, soul and body are well known. It’s giving physical and mental systems a rest and some peace for however long one chooses to engage. It’s just a break from everyday stress and a time to decompress. Same as taking a vacation and long walks at the beach or wherever one feels relaxed and clears their mind. Nothing at all unusual about any of that.
I also was taught that while fasting, every time you feel hunger or discomfort is a reminder to focus and pray.

That didn’t work to well in AZ in 2022. They sabotaged the machines on Election Day in Republican districts which helped to sabotaged many the Republican votes.
You are correct that nothing has changed much in ANY state to correct the use of mail in ballots, machine recording and counting, voter ID requirements and one day voting. Since not much of that has changed, it seems we should use that against the enemy who will try the cheat and steal again, since there were no real changes made to hold them accountable, especially in the down races for Senate and House. That is where the real corrupt voting will occur as it did in 2022 in GA, PA and AZ.
The enemy picked those places they felt were critical to their agenda in 2020 and 2022 and went full bore on the cheat. The cheat never got corrected in any of those places. So, maybe we should use their tools against them. Don’t wait until Election Day to vote, even though this seems the logical thing to do. It isn’t anymore since they can sabotage votes on that day via machine manipulation.
If those in charge are not going to correct the issues that cancel a fair election, then the people who vote need to. Throw sand in the machine. Make the corruption front and center when voting starts. Put their corruption right back at them.

I would say to fill out your mail-in ballot AND take it to the polls on election day to vote in person. If the machines are “broken” then deposit your mail-in ballot into the box so that you can still vote. If you get to vote in person then hand in your mail in ballot (already filled out) to the poll worker.
And you can take a picture of it. They wouldn’t let me take a pic after I voted.

It’s an apt worry. But if Mr. Biden had bowed out last year, Democrats could have had a normal primary fight for the nomination. Ms. Harris would have had to show she deserved it in her own right by defeating competitors. Now Democrats run the risk of appearing to bypass the first minority woman Vice President in a backroom coup. This is what happens when a party puts identity politics above governing experience and political skill.

A 2022 study sponsored by the National Institute of Drug Abuse found that 43.6 percent of polled Americans aged 19-30 had used marijuana in the previous year.
Dr. Otto von Muhlfeld, a former police psychologist who advised German Interior Minister Friedrich Zimmerman on counter-narcotic policies in the mid-1980s, also told me that he could “not recall an addict who did not tell me they started with marijuana.”
“You will see that people addicted to cannabis use it more frequently than alcohol addicts drink. This is because the craving for cannabis is stronger and the side effects are not as obvious,” Professor Cabiallavetta added.
Dr. von Muhlfeld also noted that in other countries around the world, liberal drug laws have already led to disastrous results. In Thailand, for instance, one of the world’s leading suppliers of illicit drugs, the health ministry has found that marijuana use by children and youth contributed to decreasing their intelligence and led forty percent of users to heroin addiction. Moreover, healthcare costs for marijuana users have increased exponentially.
Nonetheless, Biden and state-level Democrats – along with a growing number of Republicans – appear determined to continue toward full marijuana legalization. It may well be a budding crisis for the country.

Polls are garbage. I pay no attention to them. However, on the who replaces Biden question, all they have are slightly attractive only on an age and appearance level and with Newsom on a slimy, bold faced liar level, so I would tend to agree with the concluding paragraph of this column. At the same time, I have no confidence in our national political idiocracy to definitely make the Speedbump Against Tyranny Trump choice in an adequate level to overcome the steal.
BTW, ignore the RNC hype about 100,000 poll watchers. As Fractal has said, all they’ll manage to accomplish is to make sure that the votes of whatever fraudulent component of the 500-700K people in the voter rolls per state who, based upon the states’ own rules, shouldn’t be on those rolls get counted.

The Democrats might want to replace Biden, but they don’t have anyone that will win according to the current data. A switch may occur simply as a way to avoid any irreparable disgrace to the party going into November, but it’s important to remember that Biden is simply a foil, a mouthpiece for a political ideology of socialist extremism that the majority of Americans now find dangerous and ugly. Every candidate the Democrats put forward will espouse the same exact rhetoric and promote the same exact policies.
