You may have heard about CNN anchor Kasie Hunt getting upset at President Trump’s National spokesperson Karoline Leavitt, but did you really watch the video?
I don’t watch CNN much, so I will admit to essentially skipping the topic until someone I trust told me to watch it. I was expecting some visible antagonism or conflict by Karoline Leavitt, to wit Kasie Hunt had an overreaction. This isn’t that. This is much worse. The video is really goofy.
Ms Karoline Leavitt didn’t even say anything remotely antagonistic or controversial before Ms Hunt came unglued and shut down the interview. The entire exchange is really weird. The CNN lady, Ms. Kasie Hunt, presents herself as a very unstable person. WATCH:
Obviously, CNN has plans to make the debate an absolute mess of aggressive political manipulation. With that backdrop they would not want anyone setting up a context for the pre-planned attack. That can be the only explanation for such an over-the-top defensive triggering.

If I was Trump I would do the complete opposite of what they are claiming he’ll do.
All President Trump has to say is “Are you better off now than when I was your President?” And then rattle off his major achievements, like world peace, stability and border security, along with the consumer price indexes for goods between then and now.
Then President Trump can just sit back and watch quid pro Joe dump a load in his pants.
For Trump, it’s fortunate that all he can do while Biden blathers away is sit back and watch. This time, Joe gets to dig his own holes without interruption.

I think Kristin welker used this same strategy when she interviewed Rubio recently. She started questions with false premise and Rubio had to correct her before going on to answer her questions. It was the exact same game trying to put him on the defensive

Trump skipped the primary debates, excellent. Nothing to be gained by debating Biden on CNN. Why do it?
The idea seems to be to gain sympathy by watching Trump being abused. This has pretty much been the case always.
However, you reach a point where everyone is just tired of watching a person be abused.
Its not new, its not unexpected, its predictable, its NOT drama. Only people obssessed with Trump’s personality one way or another would be interested in watching. Is “vote for the most abused person” the preferred mechanism for policy approval?
Would be interested in laying out plan, not breathlessly waiting for zingers and counter-charges to become outraged about.
So what are the limits …? They can turn Trump’s mic on/off whenever they want, and there is a time delay to edit out Biden senility. Really, what’s the point?
I look for evidence that something has been learned, that things will be more effective this time. But all I see is repetition of previously failed dead-end decisions.

CNN is nervous they will have to pull the plug during the debate, citing technical difficulties. As soon as President Trump rattles Joe, the screen will go dark.

i watched a video of Dr. Jackson this weekend saying that he has already sent 5 letters to the Biden Administration recommending that Biden take a cognitive test.
He said that he is now sending a letter to Biden, himself, asking him to drug test before and after the debate.
When Biden got to choose his podium, I figured they would hide notes, recordings, or whatever to help him (like Hillary Clinton did in a debate). They let Biden call Heads/Tails, and of course, he won the coin toss. So, I figured that was fixed so he could select his podium.
Goofy indeed.

Steve Bannon believes the CNN producer told Kasi Hunt through her earpiece to quickly terminate the interview. Why would the CNN producer do that?
I think the CNN producer is sending a message that he himself will be in control of the upcoming debate, not Donald Trump, not Joe Biden, and not even the two CNN moderators.
First off, Donald Trump should be looking at the debate as an opportunity to be exploited, not as a trap to be avoided, and to prepare accordingly.
If things go the way I think they will, it will become evident very early on that President Trump is debating with the moderators, not with Joe Biden. He should make the most of it.
If PDJT handles it the way he handled the CNN Town Hall, his stage presence, his positive attitude, and his command of the facts will quickly overwhelm whatever the moderators can throw at him.
If and when the situation becomes clearly apparent to everyone, PDJT should briefly point out what is happening and then tell the audience that he is debating with the moderators because Joe Biden isn’t up to the task of defending his record.
Even more than that, PDJT should say that he is happy to debate the CNN moderators because if they weren’t there to defend Joe Biden’s record, nobody would be there to defend Joe Biden’s record.
Assuming PDJT takes effective control of the debate and begins to determine the course it will be following throughout the remainder of the evening, the CNN producer will then have to decide if he wants to terminate the event prematurely or let it go on to its final conclusion.
Doing this kind of thing, terminating the Trump-Biden debate prematurely because the disfavored side is clearly winning and the favored side is clearly losing, could spell a final end to CNN as a major news network.
We can only hope, anyway.

This was not a reaction this was a script. She knew she was going to do this. You can tell how anxious she is about the stunt by her breathing pattern in the very beginning of the segment. Nothing authentic about this interaction at all.

The looks and facial expressions and body language were difficult to observe. Ms. Hunt must have been in actual pain as the lovely President Trump spokesperson smiled so genuinely ( and ironically) when she tried to answer Ms. Hunt’s questions.
