June 15, 2023 –Sen. Joni Ernst’s (R-Iowa) newest hire is the daughter of former Acting U.S. Attorney General Matthew Whitaker, who directly oversaw the Mueller investigation.
In her first Hill job, Alison Whitaker joined the senator’s office as legislative correspondent. She’s a recent graduate of the University of Iowa and a former Ernst intern.
Her father, Matthew, spent three months as President Donald Trump’s acting U.S. attorney general. He assumed suvervision of the Mueller investigation until William Barr was confirmed as U.S. attorney general in February 2019. He’s also a former political rival to his daughter’s new boss, losing a primary challenge for Ernst’s Senate seat in 2014.’

Last year the DOJ dropped this case. So why is the House Ethics panel picking it up? According to Gaetz it is being reopened because of the part Gaetz played in getting rid of McCarthy.

Jim Jordan talks a great game, but in the end, he’s all talk and no trousers, for example: he only initiated a vote to defund Jack Smith’s investigation into Trump once the judge on the case tied up the prosecutor in legal knots. Jordan could have done something 18 months ago when the bullshit started. He’s a great actor, but he delivers nothing!

Was it Minnesota or Wisconsin where the woman came outside in her nightgown or bathrobe at night and was talking to the driver in a police car. The Muslim immigrant “cop” from the passenger seat shot past his fellow officer and killed the woman. It took them longer than I thought reasonable to finally charge that “officer” with a crime. I didn’t understand why he wasn’t in a jail cell before the sun came up?
