The linguistic contortions the New York Times needs to give an acceptable narrative to their audience is funny. The NYT/Sienna did a poll of Trump and Biden supporters to see if the New York guilty verdict against Trump made a difference. It did not.
The Times just resurveyed the same people they previously surveyed, and the result was essentially nothing, given the original margin of error which transfers to both efforts.
Trump was leading by two points before, now Trump is leading Biden by one point – nothing changed. However, the amount of text used by the propaganda pushers in their effort to frame the predetermined narrative is a little funny.

Many of his previously disengaged supporters seemed newly energized by the verdict, with 18 percent of his supporters who previously said they were unlikely to vote now “almost certain” to do so, compared with just 3 percent of Mr. Biden’s supporters who moved into that category. But the slight movement overall toward Mr. Biden is broadly in line with other recent surveys. (read more)
Overall, the results show that President Trump’s support is just not going to leave him, which makes sense when you really think about Trump’s support system.

The only poll I pay close attention to is the I&I/TIPP poll. It’s been fairly accurate over multiple years and elections with virtually zero bias evident. Check out Real Clear Politics poll ratings to see what I mean. That doesn’t imply they are predictive of Nov 5 results, only that in the instant moment, they have been accurate.

When observing sides that would normally disagree on nearly everything come together to agree on this one thing, I too found my curiosity peak. I’m a fairly recently retired NYS teacher, and the vitriol got louder and stronger against this one individual after 2015, and at first indirectly, then directly, against all that I found to be logical, fair, and American. For me it’s all about logic, an if-then scenario. If all in power agree that someone is bad, then I’m going to find out why they think this. So I started reading, and applying all that I’ve learned about history after teaching it for over two decades. And then I started connecting dots. It’s amazing how easy it is to see connections when you know how to look.
I’ve lost sleep over many nights worrying about what will be, but I cannot and I will not regret that my knowledge is power.
Trump is the real deal, a genuine leader. His authenticity and sincerity have been on display for all who were willing to see. He backed his words up with actions, a concept that seems to be foreign to the political class.
Since our tribal days, humans have evolved to follow and remain passionately loyal to men like Trump. It’s hardwired into our DNA.
The more he endures, the more people join him. The more he withstands, the greater he becomes.
OK I’ll just admit it. I’m looking forward to some payback on the worst scumbags this country has ever spawned. Trump‘s first rally was here and it was originally scheduled for a hotel ballroom and then they saw the number of tickets sell and keep selling they ended up going to get a larger venue and the tickets kept selling and ended up having his rally at Ladd Peebles Stadium with about 15,000 or 20,000 people.
The first words out of his mouth were “ We’re going to build a wall.”

He would be considered a “lame duck” politically, and in just a few short months they could watch him ride off into the sunset as he prepares to enjoy life as a former president, waxing poetically about his experiences to all who would listen, from a lounge chair poolside at Mar-A-Lago. But nooooo, they had to do everything possible to stir him up to the point where he will be riding his enemies into the ground for all eternity. We shouldn’t be surprised by all this, though, as these left wing socialists types do have a propensity for screwing everything up.
Perhaps they know more about the existential threats President Trump poses to them than many armchair MAGA supporters do?

For me, the NYC conviction was a bridge too far, a watershed moment in American history. Regardless of who wins on Nov 5, a bridge was crossed that can’t ever be undone. If Trump loses, half of America will see it as illegitimate, and the flames of civil divorce will turn hot. If Trump wins, again half of America will see the win as illegitimate and make governing beyond difficult. I never considered civil war in America as a realistic posit, now I do.
The conviction aftermath proved they can’t take him out through lawfare …even if Merchan puts him in Rikers Island. I now expect at least one serious attempt on his life. I don’t want to contemplate the aftermath of that.

In most of our lives, we have never had representation in congress or our states and many of us knew this. When he spoke, he spoke our language and we listened. He spoke what we already knew and we supported him. I don’t know if he understood how much support he had from the people during the fight of the 2020 election. If they take it again, we will still support and do the action we need to do to save our country.

I had no interest in him until he came down the escalator and talked about the border. Being from New Mexico, that was a huge issue for me, not to mention the Light Bringer. I have never looked back.
