It looks like the Lawfare case against President Donald Trump is not going to happen prior to the election. Considering that Fani Willis met with Mary McCord prior to filing this case against Trump, we can directly trace the origin of the Georgia case to congress and the White House.
The appellate court in Georgia is currently reviewing the professional conduct of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis. As the court is deciding whether to disqualify Ms. Willis from the cases (very likely), the court has suspended all further action by Fulton County against any of the defendants.
The Lawfare community (McCord, Weissmann, Eisen and MSNBC, CNN et al) are apoplectic at this decision by the court.
WASHINGTON – A Georgia appeals court has halted all pretrial proceedings in Donald Trump’s Atlanta-based criminal case while a three-judge panel considers whether to disqualify the lead prosecutor, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.
The order issued Wednesday effectively confirms that the sprawling racketeering case against Trump and more than a dozen codefendants — charging them with an attempt to corrupt Georgia’s 2020 election results — will not come before a jury in 2024.
The case had already seemed like a longshot to go to trial before this year’s presidential election, with a long list of complicated pretrial matters still pending before Judge Scott McAfee. The Georgia appeals court order blocks McAfee from advancing those issues while Trump and other defendants mount an appeal over allegations of ethical lapses by Willis. That appeal is scheduled for oral arguments on Oct. 4, with a decision from the appellate court likely to take several months after that.
For Trump, it’s another vindication of his well-worn strategy to delay his criminal cases until after the election. If he prevails in November, he’s unlikely to face the Georgia case until 2029 — if at all — because many legal experts believe a state cannot constitutionally prosecute a sitting president. And now the Georgia Court of Appeals has stayed all proceedings in the Georgia case.
Only appeals in the NY case remain, and one wonders if Trump will get a stay of sentencing when he files his appeal.

Nobody thought the Bragg case had a chance of convicting Trump. Now that the corrupt judge & jury delivered the conviction the Lawfare Dems don’t really need these other cases. Crooked partisan judge Merchan will sentence Trump to prison so he can’t be out campaigning or even speaking from July 11 until the election. It will be up to SCOTUS to intervene but don’t count on it. They could rule the appeals in NY courts have to play out first which would be well after the election. You can’t count on Roberts who dislikes Trump.
I found it odd at first that no jurors were promptly on TV telling their stories. Then I realized that none would have a rational answer to have believed a serial perjurer, embezzler, and hate-for-Trump-filled man like Cohen.
And of course, none could say, “I got a text with a picture of my grandchildren from an anonymous phone,” or “There were were some phone calls telling me it would be wise to convict Trump,” or “A stranger whispered in my ear as he passed me on the street that hold-outs get held up, sometimes with dire consequences.”
I believe the’ jury’ is in hiding, and the MSM is complicit with the strategy.

President Trump’s new AG Paxton would have all of the information, coordination, collusion and communications between the DOJ and Bragg in New York as well as Fani in Atlanta.

There was a time when destruction of evidence was considered an admission of guilt. We need to go back to that. Prosecute all who willfully destroyed evidence. Hillary smashing phones, Mueller’s investigators wiping their phones, j6 committee destroying evidence gathered, etc.
When Trump wins in 2024, it will be epic to see him control both the prosecution (through command of the DOJ) and defense in the federal cases against him. Imagine the opportunity he will have to use the court room to expose the crimes organized against him. And, imagine how he will be able to use the DOJ and FBI to bring heat to the state prosecutors pursuing fake crimes against him. Whether federal or state, he will be able to conclusively and convincingly show the American people that he has been framed in multiple instances, which will give him the green light and support of the American people to uncage the lions on the perpetrators.
Honestly, I think by 2024, our President Trump will be too busy fixing the mess that has been wrought to spend one instant on retribution. He is telling it like it is in the here and now.
