Thank you to all readers and members of the Conservative Treehouse fellowship for your continued support. Without your help, this little corner of research and discussion on the internet just could not exist. I will always work earnestly to be deserving of that support and fellowship.
Unfortunately, on an almost exact timeline as previously outlined (maximum 2024 election interference planned), Google and Big Tech have shifted approaches exactly as we predicted they would by mid-April.
They have been unable to take down The Conservative Treehouse over platform content, so they shifted strategies with the spider crawling. We are now under attack by Google Inc. for comments made by you. [see example below]:
You can tell from the flagged notes and highlighted search terms, the spider crawl was given specific phrases to search out. Apparently, Eliot Ness provided them on March 23rd.
This comment by Eliot Ness is being used by Google Inc. to outline a violation of terms of service, and Ness’s threats to violence reported to DHS for operational CTH targeting therein. Note, it is not the content of CTH that is the problem; comments are now the source of infractions that can lead to CTH deplatforming.
You do not need to be a deep weeds thinker to see the issue here. After years of unsuccessfully targeting our research directly, the Google overlords are now targeting us based on reader content. They are turning fellowship into a vulnerability. I am furious and working earnestly to develop a solution.
Obviously, the above comment was deleted and removed, but the shift should explain why so many websites have dropped the comment system completely.
We need your help.
There is a flagging system for the discussion community to self-police. If you notice a comment outside the rules and guidelines for comments, flag it by hitting the flag icon next to the comment. As soon as 20 flags are received, the comment is automatically removed. You can well understand why that feature is present.
I will fight the big tech targeting using every resource to keep CTH from being taken down. However, the process is the punishment in this corrupt system. Fighting these creeps is expensive, and this activity by them takes place at the same time they demonetize us by removing our small advertising funding.
We are fortunate, blessed and protected by a loving God, who has abundant confidence in our ability. If you can help financially, it is appreciated.
Making yesterday’s notifications even more annoying, March and April are the months when all the annual fees for licensing, email notification systems, data security, legal retainers and background stuff associated with the building of CTH 2.0 are paid. Thank you to everyone who helps offset these costs and keeps our voice in the fight.
Financial support through PayPal remains the most efficient and stable way to support CTH. I know they have received a lot of criticism, much of it well placed; however, my own experience with PayPal has been solid. When CTH was deplatformed and under attack from Big Tech (eye of Sauron), to their credit, PayPal stood firm and supported CTH in providing their service. They would NOT demonetize us.
While my experience with PayPal seems to run counter to the outcome described by others, the unexpected supportive position from PayPal made a strong impression on me. Again, perhaps unique, not sure why, but my experience with them has been very good. If that ever changed, I would immediately let you know. The data security and convenience of their system is also solid and useful.
Regardless, there are now two options: (1) PayPal and (2) Proprietary. Due to legal caution and the data privacy construct, the Proprietary alternative has a 30-day access lag built in. Meaning, if you use that option, in approximately 30 days the funds become accessible, whereas support through the preferred PayPal option is immediate.
The alternative financial support appears directly below the PayPal link in a yellow box as highlighted. Some have said browser settings can block visibility, and I have also heard it doesn’t show up on some mobile devices. I am not sure what the technical issue might be other than ISP filters (now becoming more problematic) and/or Adblocking software.
Due to my personal requirements for Treehouse user privacy, and my firm stance on not retaining user data lists, the alternative system does not provide a subscriber option. If you use the alternative support function, each time you would want to support CTH you would have to click it and reenter your information. No data is saved.
Thank you to everyone who helps offset these costs and keeps our voice in the fight…

We cannot allow this new tactic to win. Guidelines for Comments Here.
Love to all,
Sundance
So which Federal agency does “Eliot Ness” work for?
Friendly But In
Gotta admit he gave it away with that screen name, lol.
Every time i see comments anywhere on the net that are ripe for the spiders to “find” i do not interact with them at all , i am certain they are spiders writing them.
I hate that we MUST self censor ourselves now, Unless you want to be jailed for a mere Meme.
I can’t wait to MAGA!
Amen brother!
Soit genti.
Indeed. A site that offers consistently thoughtful analysis that runs counter to the collective interest of TPTB is certain to be attacked in this manner. Can the Treehouse use a spider crawl of its own to defend against this tactic?
A bigger spider, one that eats the other spiders. I’m joking, of course, but . . . .
Be The Spider.
Quite a number of folks have attempted to school us all that not one of us can criticize what others say and that we should all simply rely on Admin to identify all bad actors and all usefully problematic comments, as if this wasn’t a vital conversation that we mere commenters have no stake and little voice in.
I hope those folks, that aren’t themselves Bad Actors, recognize that we have a responsibility here to, yes, police outrageous attempts to paint us and our beloved Treehouse as violent and dangerous and ripe for intervention by those that seek to conquer us.
Furthermore, I consider that the Derp State must be destroyed.
Be careful a little bit of power is not handled well by some people. If you are going to declare yourself, the arbitrator of all things good and evil, don’t get upset when someone does the same for you.
Well hello, there you are!
Power? Seriously?
👀
Wolverines faithfully pawtrol the perimeter. 😉
It was upvoted 36 times as well.
That would indicate enemy incoming.
Original Elliot Ness worked for the FBI.
Ness was Treasury Dept. President Hoover tasked the Treasury Dept with taking down Capone. FBI was considered out of their depths, and did not become preeminent until TV started featuring them in the 60s.
Thanks for the correction.
Ness was more of an accountant than a field agent, Robert Stack’s and Kevin Costner’s protrayals aside.
Does it really matter which? The damage is done.
We all have to be vigilant, we all have to watch out for each other and the Treehouse.
Put comments behind a 1$ a day paywall and don’t make the visible to public or to search
It sucks but this is how Parler was taken down
Some unwise comments by Lin wood on a special day and boom it’s gone
Singularity deplatforming
It’s a privilege to be able to freely post here
But. Also. There are often too many comments.
Make hard decisions to survive.
Drop comments behind paywalls and you will get 50 vs 500 but you will survive
His comments were always pushing envelope and leading
Doesn’t necessarily have to be a “fed” agency…the censors are everywhere and in every online “chat-room”. May be just a “sub-contractor” exploring online comments all day from his/her basement.
How easy it can be for a rogue comment maker to purposefully make rogue comments that lead to google-action.
Clearly the dirty cloths, and eastern men, or any demise, should be carefully considered.
The rich men north of Richmond, dont like SD, truth or any of us.
Isnt much to add to that.
They hate us.
Speaking of which, I heard his album went straight to #1 !!!!!!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂

I’m surprised I still remember that!
try just leaving out the vowels, its surprising how easy it is to read, once you get used to it.
tr jst lvng t th vwls,…
We used this in high school to stump the not so bright tyrant teachers from time to time. No vowels or spaces and an occasional apostrophe to indicate a particularly difficult missing vowel. Rarely was it unreadable and once you’re used to it it’s easy. Nthrd
it wouldn’t take much for an enterprising coder to create a tool to make a JPG out of any input text.
I input text here, it feeds into a javascript text-to-jpg module, then the output jpeg gets posted as my comment, rather than searchable text.
Might cost more data storage for jpegs, and perhaps a character limit, as the downsides.
Pure black & white instead of color cuts way down on image bit size
Images can be ocr’d. Tesseract is free and works well.
With advancements in AI and computing power, I’m betting they parse and interpret images now.
The basics:
“(hard to tell what this means, exactly) and thats the leftist way, because it leaves the door open to selective prosecution.
Time for everyone to dig deeper and support this wonderful Treehouse!
Donate as if your freedom depends on this.
God bless Sundance and his team in our hour of need!
I love this site and all its contributors.
Let’s keep it pithy
Seems a little too coincidental. All of it. Sorry for the efforts to silence you and us. God bless you.
“Taste your words before you spit them out” should be the watch words.
Noted.
That is a wonderful phrase, Betsy. 🩷
One of many I picked up in Britain, Miya. It has served me very well 👍🏻
I had a friend once who shared a simple rule with me…”If it would feel REALLY good to say it, DON’T!”
That simple phrase has saved me from many social and relational faux pas! And probably some more serious consequences as well!
Once spoken, or written and posted, and the emotion of the moment subsides, it’s too late, Mom. Can’t undo. Good advice from your friend.
My father told me this over 50 years ago,
“Never put anything in writing you do not want the whole world to read.”
It seems more true today than 50 years ago.
My mother said the same…plus this…
If you write at night, put it aside until morning, then review. Things always look different in the morning.
Very true.
I think it was Hemingway that said something like- write drunk edit sober. Or maybe it was charles Bukowski that said it. I can’t remember I’ve had a few drinks. I’ll look it up tomorrow and let everyone know then.
LOL!!!
My bet is Hemingway.
Two aspirin before you retire.
Look forward to your A.M. considered review 👍🏻
Or, as Mr. Barnes always says, Never in writing, Always in cash!
Very sound advice.
“For twenty-three years I’ve been dying to tell you what I thought of you! And now, well, being a Christian woman, I can’t say it!” Auntie Em
Very good advice!! I may end up using this line. Hope you don’t mind.
Absolutely!!
The worst offenders have long since lost their taste. I shall pepper them with flag sauce.
Liberally 👍🏻
This Tree is too precious for careless tongues to jeopardize it, Justice.
“Count to Ten”, was a golden rule in our home.
Still serves me well…
Now it should be count to 100, ERROR. Such are these days.
Maybe PayPal is not giving you any trouble because Peter Thiel is a co-founder and also advisor to the 1st Trump administration and maybe currently too. Just saying….
I would assume, the actions by big tech were not unexpected. We have discussed this topic frequently. They want SD and all of us, everywhere, to shut up and sit down. OR ELSE!
There just isnt any place like the Treehouse.
The evil ones despise, that we know, that they know, we know…….
Sundance,
Perhaps the offending readers/commentators should be on a sliding scale. You noted that after 20 flags the comment would be removed, but perhaps the second time only 10 flags, third time 5 flags, then banned.
This will not stop the innumerable trolls that the Feds/Big Tech can throw at us ,but it may help keep the rest of us civil. I for one am very aware that ANYTHING we put on the web is fair game for all of the Communist to use against us.
My personal thoughts stay personal.
I will continue to support as I can. May you and the team have angelic protection.
If someone gets more than a couple of flaggings, they are usually banned. No need for further options. We receive an immediate notice of the flagging in our email system. Always vigilant… 😉
Ad rem, thank you and the rest of your crew for all you do!
😘
Ad Rem – we here at the Treehouse cannot thank you enough for all of the time and effort that you, and others, put in to keep everything running well!!
“Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love Him.” James 1:12
Ad rem rocks!!!!!!
Thank you,
Carry on!!

have you explored moving the comment section to a decentralized platform such as Bastyon

That’s more like it, I am glad to hear that.
PP has screwed several of my family members and even if I could figure it out I would never use them. I even hate using my credit card even though the two times I have donated there has been no problem. I would prefer to write a check but-yes, I know-that’s so twentieth century.
So I’m donating a month earlier than I wanted to.
There’s an awesome country at stake.
Yes, would love to send a money order
i notice the drug stores now require you to show ID to buy prepaid debit/credit cards. More tracking
I buy them all the time.
I use cash to purchase them.

@SunDance: How about putting the comment system behind a captcha?
[See comments button] => Captcha
Or dont render the comments if the user identifies as a Search indexing bot.
SISU MAGA! Thanks for the heads up, and may God’s providence shine upon you and CT.
Like Truth Social, maybe CTH should be labeled a family friendly site and comments must reflect this.
Thank you for letting us know the latest situation regarding the using of words in comments as a vector. This could get tricky if there are a group of people who visit the site gang up to make sure 20 or more flags are made on a comment simply to get it removed because it doesn’t fit that group’s latest narrative so must be silenced.
Things are getting dicey!
Regarding the alternative donation option, if this information helps at all – once I installed the Malwarebytes Browser Guard program that option is no longer visible. So that option may be linked to some type of adware platform as a reason it is not being seen, perhaps. I went ahead and signed up to use the PayPal platform based on your experiences and so far, have had no problem using that option.
The comment section here is now too high a risk because of “Large Bruder.” I say eliminate the comment section altogether. Large Bruder will sooner or later start picking even the most benign language to target. Eliminating the comment section will save on bytes, potential de-platforming, potential de-monetizing and all the associated headaches and will continue to let the “spice flow.”
If that was done the traffic on the site would suffer tremendously. Plus the commentariat is not only a community but an data source. If the comments section disappears, if something then happened to TCTH, how many fewer people would notice the disappearance of this tremendous source of truth, sense, information and much more? It’s an attempt to isolate CTH from its supporters, so it can be ‘dealt with’ more easily and with less fuss. Just my opinion.
Jeddak, that is far more than your opinion, it is Gospel Truth.
This conversation has always been, as Sundance has many times told us, the entire point of our exercise here.
I’ve never ever seen anyone suggest we eliminate that before . . . seems sorta sus.
Exactly
This is the best place
where people
crowd source information
on a variety of subjects.
A lot of people here follow
different subjects and
bring the information they
find and share it.
Whether it is Presidential election,
election fraud,state elections,
vaccines, geopolitical…or even
how to make pancakes😉😉
We are Sundance’s Auxiliary Neural Net.
He reads here too.
Eliminating the comment section – no way! This site is a true, online conversation, the way this ‘superhighway’ acts best. People can post ideas, reactions, interact with each other and that allows us to see things in different perspectives from people with widely different experiences and we learn, and come up with new ideas and most important realize we are not alone. TCH is a breath of fresh air in the midst of fire and brimstone being spewed all over the internet.
I vote ABSOLUTELY NOT stop the comments.
At least several times a week a commenter on here shares info, or a link or just common sense to which I would not otherwise be privileged. I have followed Hot Air since Tea Party days, I know Jim Hoft and have read TGP since its first year. There is NO OTHER site like the Treehouse!!!
None.
I learn as much from commenters here as I do reading the articles.
Me too!
Silence everyone because of a few bad apples? Sure, that’s the ticket.
Absolutely Not. No. No. No.
I wouldn’t think they would bother with CTH. Go to PJMedia, CFP, RedState, Breitbart, etc and there are no holds barred on comments containing violence.
CTH is a much bigger threat to the leftists than all those sites put together. Sundance is divinely inspired and puts difficult information into an easy to understand format. The Treehouse is special, and so is this community.
Amen to that!
Heck, look at the leftist hatred on Twitter alone. Far more aggressive than anything here.
I feel the same way about PayPal. They have always been great!
You may want to talk to the Canadian truckers about that
Next you’ll be telling us not to donate to PDJT through WinRed?
What was it they call that?
Donation suppression?
Yep.
I’ve noticed that Yahoo mail is consistently banning this site and shoving it into spam, regardless of how many times I’ve said it’s not spam.
I’ve tested that and, so far, no subscriptions or moderator approvals have, to my knowledge, not arrived or gone to the spam folder. Moderator approvals are usually for links in posts and it doesn’t appear to be targeted, rather random; even links to government statistics get moderated.
I use that particular e-mai that’s been around since the 90’s as bait. You can compare it to Proton, forex, and see what happens.
I also use Yahoo as a wonderful barometer of Commie propaganda, comparing random ‘news’ to targeted news when the site knows who’s reading it. It’s all good. information 🙂
Mr. Sundance,
Seems like Zero Hedge comment section is wild west free, the only thing one has to do is sign in to comment.
That is no problem at all.
There may be a difference – where Sundance mentions his personal requirement for user privacy.
That is a real thing; whereas those other sites, a person signs up to comment and there is no disclosure how easily trackable the person commenting now becomes, not only creating a cache of their comments but does this also include, given the 7-hop rule, how many friends, family, co-workers are now on cacheable so added to certain “lists”?
Pretty sure there is a big difference.
ZH is primarily a news and comment aggregator so no or little threat to anyone so in turn no need to police the comments.
Do notice this happening simultaneously with this sudden aggressive labeling of an eclipse as a state emergency! There HAS to be a sinister plan going on that is meant to divert us and no doubt Sundance would be able to discover and share it faster than almost anybody…hence this elimination tactic.
YES, THAT ECLIPSE thing may be another Y2K. Did you see how many states that declared eclipse day a day of emergency? I could care less about an eclipse—but others seem to look forward to it.
Y2K was my first thought when I saw the increasing hysteria over the upcoming eclipse. Glad I was not the only one who did that.
I don’t think so. Indiana is expecting a massive amount of people. The infrastructure cannot handle it.
The Federalist ended up deleting their comments section. Some believed it was agents provocateurs who deliberately posted inflammatory and threatening comments on the site specifically to ensure the comments section went away.
You know, i remember that Ness comment. I thought at the time it was a little over the top!
That character has often done that, and far from the only one.
We’ve had some persistent souls that serially resurrect their banned selves to continue stirring that pot.
And to be honest, I rarely go to the Federalist website any more because the comment section was deleted.
And I have been without work for two years, helping out family and trying to find remote work, so I have been unable to give to funds, but I have just started an amazing business that not only offers monetary opportunity, but also gives the FDA and Big Pharma the shakes because it has documented success.
No, I’m not going to mention it here because then this will just look like spam…but it does seem a Godsend and the fact that it is reversing arthritis, diabetes, vision issues and even cancer in friends is just…amazing. AS soon as I can Sundance, I will fund you!!
Money on the way…
It’s not much, but as my Dad would say, “10% of something, beats 90% of nothing.”
Stay in the fight, SD.
Psalm 56:3.
I remember that comment. Not so clever moniker for Friendly But Inn.
IN what way does CTH still use google as a platform? Is it just through their AdSense program? Are there any other alternatives to generate ad income so you can be completely free of deplatforming vulnerabilities?
This is going to sound like a very naive question, as I am not well versed in the ways of the interwebs, but how and why does Google have any say whatsoever over what is discussed on this website, which, as far as I know, is not a Google website?
Google spiders crawl web sites and that’s how such sites are ‘found’ on the internet and ranked according to Google analytical algorithms and those algorithms also crawl information on the individuals who use the search engine to display the results .
For sites which make money from Google rankings and ad programs, the site data and user information and views go into a mixer and owners are compensated via those algorithms, among other compensation methods and processes.
Sites are hosted on remote servers, presuming the owner doesn’t operate their own internet servers, as some of us did when the internet was young. My site has been hosted by such a host since the late 90’s. I never did host it personally but did have friends who did. If one does business with a site host, that host can choose to stop doing business with one, for any reason or no reason at all in reality, though they do have voluminous ‘terms of service’ legalese to hide behind.
Google/Alphabet is a big player, one of the biggest, and they can influence many hosts, since their fingers are into almost everything on the internet. They also operate as an arm of the government.
Using the sample in the title post, we could start a discussion of war history here, even ancient history from the Roman times or prior, and the bots could flag content and create violent inferences or inferences against ‘guidelines’.
It’s simply the modern day version of the old movie ‘Fahrenheit 451‘ where books were banned and burned, hence the title inference, and people threatened or killed if they resisted.
In that vein, I recommend reading the book ‘Three Felonies a Day‘ to see how the government has long targeted citizens that government humans consider a ‘problem’. None of us is immune. We’re all in ‘the system’. 🙂
Thank you for your thoughtful detailed reply. I can now at least begin to understand how this all works.
CTH relies on revenue from ads that appear here via Google ad software.
That is incredibly short sighted, and at this point in time, given everything Google has done, it is tantamount to conspiring with the enemy.
Hyperbole much?
👍
Reliance on the services of your enemies means you are beholden to your enemies. The dissident right has had ten years of object lessons on this. Google, DoDaddy, Patreon, Paypal, MailChimp, WordPress, Amazon AWS, Discord, Twitter, Facebook, all of these sites and more have censored, deplatformed, and banned the dissident right for a decade.
This disappoints me greatly. I expected better from comment regulars here, especially Sundance. Relying on AdSense is inexcusable.
Verklempt becomes you.
SD, CTH must be having a larger impact than can be tolerated by TPTB. Congratulations? There is a counter, it just hasn’t yet been revealed. But it will be.
G A B is entirely self-contained, which is ridiculously expensive. I wonder if they would consider hosting CTH? To my knowledge they don’t host other sites and who knows if they even have a desire to, but I’m just wondering here.
I am a subscriber to Seeking Alpha’s website. In the last 6 months they have been using some form of AI in their moderation to screen certain words in the comments section. Here are just a few of the words that, if they are within your comment, you will see a screen pop up stating that your comment is subject to moderation:
outrageous
clown
idiot
stupid
gay
fool
drivel
Dick ( yes, the name of people like Dick Durbin, among others)
There are others that I can’t remember, some which are completely innocuous. If you use the plural of some of these words, no problem, your comment is posted. You can alter the spelling of these words to ensure that your comment gets posted immediately.
Ron B: SA has been screening out “personlized nastiness” (my term, not theirs) for some time now; much more than just six months. The SA comment section is a mixed bag.
Yes, they have been doing what you say for longer than 6 months, but not in the way they are doing it now. You never got a screen to pop up for using just a certain word in your comment until recently.
Typing senator coons leads to moderation on a site that I comment on, but typing c00ns doesnt get flagged.
I was commenting on a site discussing cookware. Every time I entered “cast iron” a warning would pop up to tell me that was unacceptable and I should rethink my post. I’m guessing the offending word was “cast” .
Dunno.
Either word can be construed as firearm related terms.
Together they could signify an angry wife fixing to set things straight . . .

I have had to post
the story about how
all my fire arm were
in the bottom of the
lake due to a horrible
boating accident -as a
subtle reminder recently.
That hasn’t happened in
a long time and it wasn’t
user names I was familiar
with.
I thought it was strange…
now with this information
from Sundance, I am thinking
my gut feeling was right.
🤷♀️ 💁 🤷♀️
A boating accident? I lost a prized possession after I set it on the top of my truck and drove off, spilling it in the weeds some where I couldn’t ever find. Weird huh? 🙂
It would be great if there was software which denied posting if certain words were in the text.
There are filters at work here, but they have to be looked after, to get things out of the bin that don’t belong there.
I suspect getting more restrictive would equal much more work.
I do no like to read such terminology
We should comment like adults
That comment was way over the top. We have too many smart and thoughtful commenters here to let someone carelessly mess things up. And SD has too much time and resources allocated to this site to let bad comments undo all the good he does.
I do think some of these questionable comments are infiltration, but sometimes even true Treepers get carried away by our emotions. We all need to express our views without violating the guidelines. And flag the ones who break the rules. We can have free speech without putting this site in jeopardy.
Any heated exchange or content could be used to ensnare a site in improper conduct via the display of said content.
In all honesty. I’m no exception. I tend to be more verbose than required and would like to apologize up front if applicable for any conduct or content..
Just now gave $150 via PayPal. Even if you can afford only $5, now is the time to support the Treehouse.
Wondering if Eliot Ness was a plant from Google? If so could they do it again and again? If the derogatory comment was about the Jews would the attack have even happened? Just wondering? Godspeed Sundance! PayPal donation on the way, this is my go bag for truth!
More likely from one of the alphabet agencies.
Done!
I am happy to contribute, but I refuse to use Paypal. You really need a new financial processing vendor that accepts credit cards and pays without delays.
Hot take: I love that Eric Schmidt and Bill Richardson made private trips to North Korea.. and totally didn’t fit-out North Korea with intranet. Also, I’m sorry that you’re having to deal with this crap SD, just goes to show how effective you truly are.
Because the movie, Ragtime, has no Scotsmen wearing kilts, I’m not rushin’ home to watch it.
Capiche?
No need to worry about ‘us’ posting.
The tactic I’ve seen on reddit, .win, FR, Gab and here is intentional seeding of bad content intended to be ‘found out’ by spider (or simply because the ‘finder’ is also the writer) and given faux popularity by bot upvotes on whatever system or by supportive, equally disingenuous, replies.
Just as real as alphabet agents with pressed khakis and newly unwrapped swastika flags. Everyone sees through them; it’s fiction for the other parts of the lie factory.
If I had anything actionable to say, I certainly wouldn’t put it in writing on the internet. I especially wouldn’t put it in writing on a site being strongly monitored by the alphabet agencies with intent to quash. Ergo, any alleged offensive content is an intentional misreading of any comment I do make. Got that one, Eyes?
I have been using Brave for some time now with no problems. Today whenever I try to access CTH, Brave goes down. No other site causes this. So my immediate thought was that something bad had happened, but I tried another browser and it works fine. I know a lot of you all use Brave and I was wondering if you are having similar problems?
Using Brave for all internet access and have not had any issues with this site or any others.
Been using Brave long enough to have 2 million trackers blocked. occasionally I have to restart the computer to speed up the websites. other than that, no problems.
It can be your ISP.
this happened to my systems, Win7/brave. two separate pc’s, two separate IT services, two separate IPs. iphone wasn’t affected. firefox browser worked fine as an alternate.
now, two days later, all seems good again.
CTH wasn’t the only website that instantly shut down on the click. a youtube link was in that mix as well.
Using Brave now and always on laptop and mobile platforms. No problems 99.9% of time. Once in a blue moon – gets unusually slow to respond to posting a comment or upvoting a comment. But I think that’s due to traffic somewhere between my ISP and the CTH servers.
I have a pretty oppressive ISP, ATT cellular, for posts to this forum, and Brave has been rock solid, whether in original form or using their VPN or TOR features. No problems at all. I also make posting content that will definitely tickle the oppressor’s algorithms; the word ‘Communist’ looming large among them.
BTW, if anyone thinks wearing a ballistic helmet is easy, try it. My neck muscles are sore! Oh, there’s another word, ballistic. 🙂
“This comment by Eliot Ness is being used by Google Inc. to outline a violation of terms of service, and Ness’s threats to violence reported to DHS for operational CTH targeting therein.”
You must have excellent resources to get a report like this.
BTW, the FBlie has been knocking on peoples doors regarding comments more tame than ness’s.
I assume “Eliot Ness” is an agent provocateur who has been banned from commenting.
In all my years of reading comments on CTH I can’t recall ever seeing one with the tenor of Eliot Ness’ above. Treepers generally aren’t a violent lot, and they don’t use slurs or derogatory language. The sort of person who follows Sundance is a different cut.
I recall some anti-Israel posts that were overtly anti-Semitic. They stood out because most Treepers were discussing the war as yet another Deep State grift by the warmongers, even as they expressed sympathy for Israel and the Jewish people. I bet those were the work of trolls like Eliot Ness.
Dr Mercola had so many issues with Evil Google that he blocked Google from crawling or indexing his blogs:
‘In the summer of 2019, Google removed us from coming up in any keyword search unless our name was also typed into the query. While we still received substantial traffic from people who looked very hard to find Mercola articles through Google, we finally decided to block Google from crawling or indexing any of my articles or breaking news blogs. We also stopped using the Google Analytics program in 2018.
‘So, everything related to Google has been removed from this site, and I hope other sites will follow suit. I encourage you to search every site’s privacy policy page to see if they use Google Analytics or Google Ad programs, and if they do, encourage them to stop.’

He goes on to advise how to de-Googleize your life. Hope this helps.
Don’t forget to replace your iphone and android with a privacy phone!
What do you consider a privacy phone? I have an android phone currently, despite my son’s attempts to get me to “upgrade” to an iPhone (which I greatly dislike, btw).
Thank you for posting the link.😃
I love this place. It is the first page that opens with my Cuppa every morning. As more and more have come my postings have declined because so many others are much more succinct in outlining solutions. The comment box creates its own problems in that the page will refresh unpredictably and eliminate the comment just as I was ready to post. I dont know where this come from.
Dr Mercola is the leading edge of this ooogle problem as the administration identified him publicly as one of the top 10 misinformation web sites back in the WuFlu days. He has products to sell and the only product here is wisdom so not a direct comparison.
I’m obviously not shy about my identity and would suggest every opaque commenter name is known by the feds, just not by us. Sundance has created enough frustration that Rachel Madcow did an entire segment “outing “ him. I’d vote for as real ID as possible. Requiring names get into fake names and is probably too far.
I would pay monthly for access $15. It is one of the few I’d pay for. It would reduce the traffic to some percentage of current and not reduce the three letter agency’s access because they have expense account access. More trolls less authentic commenters. Is it worth it?
I’m changing my ooogle email address today
There is a legal action used by the “platforms” use to deny responsibility for comments made by posters .. if Googu and other can use it to avoid accountability for lies posted by their own censors and bloggers everyone else should be able to as well.
So we are now being censored. Can’t say this word or that one. What’s to keep trolls and bots from sabotaging the comment section ?
They’ve been at it for some time.
Our own vigilance and involvement are necessary.
The Admin….and your own ability to flag a comment you see as being “out of bounds”.
But what is “out of bounds?” I’m sorry, and I realize I am late to comment here, but the whole point of freedom of speech is that no one on this planet has the authority to dictate what other people can and cannot say. Freedom of speech is the most basic and necessary right that people must possess to live in liberty. Without it, people are slaves. And compromising that right by suggesting that some speech is out of bounds is at least a partial surrender to the forces that would silence us completely, leading ultimately to a complete surrender. We must, at all costs, protect the right that no speech, however repellent, is ever out of bounds. We must stop being timid about protecting this right, and if it requires a fight, then let’s fight. Because if we fail to protect this right, everything else is lost.
It’s global.
Same thing is happening in Europe. Here’s the EU edict issued earlier this year:
https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/en/TXT/HTML/?uri=CELEX:32022R2065
Soon, all websites will have to eliminate their comments sections. Otherwise, the website owner would be liable for comments posted by users.
While we are chatting on the internet, globalization is continuing its glorious march.
john70: Indeed. Free speech and free association are being squashed, globally. The ultimate goal will be to keep people bottled up in their own totally surveilled “containment zones.” Bye-bye freedom of movement.
I got a notification that my password for the Treehouse has been hacked. I have no idea.
Unless the password has been changed, I can’t open password protected threads as well.
The good news is our gentle administrator has the latest and greatest passwords anyone would need or desire and is remarkably easy to contact. Nearly every page of the web site has the means. 🙂
They never stop.
Proud to say… none of my language will be flagged. I truly, the opposite of love, these people.
If sex equates with love, and to them it sure seems to I really wish these people would all go,….love themselves?
