The transparency of this timing is almost too clear. A couple of days ago, the Koch network said they were going to drop back to a defensive position and look to retain their influence in the House and Senate. The next day John Thune announced he was endorsing President Trump. Deceptive Conservatives, aka “DeceptiCons,” are always positioning to retain power structures.
Today, Mitch McConnell announces he will step down from a leadership position in the Senate in November… DUH!! The greatest likelihood is that President Trump will win the November election; Mitch doesn’t have an option at that point. So, what we are seeing is DeceptiCon positioning. It’s all about power retention, which is to say, retention of money and influence.
John Thune has been groomed to replace Mitch McConnell for years. You might remember when Thune contemplated retiring a few years ago, and the professional donors convinced him to stay on “just in case” Trump returned to DC.
Thune’s recent endorsement of Trump is like Brutus welcoming Caesar back to Rome, the intents are analogous. McConnell will exit Senate leadership after the November election, Thune will rise, and the anti-Trump antagonisms will continue. Senators Barrasso and Cornyn will position to participate in the process.
Removing the stench of McConnell and his DeceptiCon crew from the Senate means much more than just removing Mitch McConnell from leadership. The apparatus of the Senate needs to be purged with solid primary contests to take down the power structure. Purge the crew, then salt the entire upper chamber, then bring in an exorcist and fill every room with sage smoke for a week…. or something.
Don’t fall for the trickery…. McConnell isn’t stepping down because it’s in Trump’s best interests. McConnell is stepping down as part of a strategy to oppose the America First agenda that Trump represents.
WASHINGTON (AP) — Mitch McConnell, the longest-serving Senate leader in history who maintained his power in the face of dramatic convulsions in the Republican Party for almost two decades, will step down from that position in November.
McConnell, who turned 82 last week, announced his decision Wednesday in the well of the Senate.
McConnell said he plans to serve out his Senate term, which ends in January 2027, “albeit from a different seat in the chamber.”
He spoke at times haltingly, his emotions evident, as he looked back on his career. Dozens of members of his staff lined up behind him on the back wall of the chamber, some wiping away tears, as family and friends looked down from the gallery above. Senators from both parties — most of them taken by surprise by the announcement — trickled into the chamber and exchanged hugs and handshakes.
President Joe Biden, who has had a productive working relationship with McConnell, said he was sorry to hear the news.
“I’ve trusted him and we have a great relationship,” Biden said. “We fight like hell. But he has never, never, never misrepresented anything.”
Aides said McConnell’s announcement was unrelated to his health. The Kentucky senator had a concussion from a fall last year and two public episodes where his face briefly froze while he was speaking.
“As I have been thinking about when I would deliver some news to the Senate, I always imagined a moment when I had total clarity and peace about the sunset of my work,” McConnell said. “A moment when I am certain I have helped preserve the ideals I so strongly believe. It arrived today.”
The senator had been under increasing pressure from the restive, and at times hostile wing of his party that has aligned firmly with Trump. The two have been estranged since December 2020, when McConnell refused to abide Trump’s lie that the election of Democrat Joe Biden as president was the product of fraud.
But while McConnell’s critics within the GOP conference had grown louder, their numbers had not grown appreciably larger, a marker of McConnell’s strategic and tactical skill and his ability to understand the needs of his fellow Republican senators.
McConnell gave no specific reason for the timing of his decision, which he has been contemplating for months, but he cited the recent death of his wife’s youngest sister as a moment that prompted introspection. “The end of my contributions are closer than I’d prefer,” McConnell said.
But his remarks were also light at times as he talked about the arc of his Senate career. (read more)
Mitch isn’t going anywhere, so just skip this narrative nonsense. Mitch is simply stepping back from the microphone so that Thune’s fingerprints are on the anti-Trump dagger.
One of the more challenging facets, to awakening the general public on the scale of corruption within Washington DC, is the need for people to drop party designations.
This is never truer than within the U.S. Senate where the mistaken “us -vs- them” perspective remains a pesky hurdle.
The blue team and red team are mirror images of themselves. They are not opposites, they are mirrored – a big difference.
The policy objective is the same, and the business model within DC (K Street) benefits the upper chamber the most.
Within this dynamic, Mitch McConnell is the mirror image of Harry Reid. Mitch has been grooming his replacement for a long time; that replacement is John Thune. Senator Thune is in a position that demands stealth. Ideologically, think of John Thune as the mirror image of Gavin Newsom. They are not opposites, they are mirrored – a big difference.
The system of affluence and influence has been created to self-sustain regardless of party affiliation. The Senate is one club with one ideological perspective. Within that club rule #1 dominates: none of the members will ever expose another member. So, when there is corrupt activity within the Senate, no one from within the institution will expose another. This is the code of Omerta within the upper chamber. This is the way of the “my good friend” Senate and how it operates.
Current Senate Leader Mitch McConnell has a leadership group who carry out the institutional objectives of the upper chamber as a body. They include: Senator John Thune (whip), Senator John Barrasso (conference chair), Roy Blunt (committee chair), Todd Young (NRSC chair), Jodi Ernst (conference vice-chair), and Chuck Grassley (president pro tempore). None of these senators make a move publicly without approval from Leader McConnell.
In August of 2020, before the presidential election, Senate Whip John Thune rebuked the mail-in ballot concerns expressed by President Trump. Thune did this because ultimately the objectives of the upper chamber were more favorably aligned if President Trump was removed.
WASHINGTON DC – […] Asked if he agreed with the president’s repeated charges that mailed-in balloting will lead to a “rigged election” and “massive voter fraud,” the Senate majority whip told reporters, “I don’t.”
“Mailed-in voting has been used in a lot of places for a long time and, honestly, we’ve got a lot of folks that, as you know, they’re investing heavily in trying … to win that war. It’s always a war too for mail-in ballots. Both sides compete, and it’s always an area where I think our side, at least in my experience, has done pretty well,” Thune answered, adding: “I think we want to assure people it’s going to work, it’s secure and if they vote that way it’s going to count.” (read more)
(L-R) Barrasso, Blunt, McConnell, Thune and Ernst.
You often hear people wonder why the GOP doesn’t push back against the Democrats. The reason is simple; the GOP are the right wing of the UniParty bird, the Democrats are the left wing. They are mirror images of each other.
Both clubs are attached to the body of big corrupt corporatist government.
Watch the trade front. Watch international trade, economics, banking and multinational corporation influence. That’s the ‘trillions are at stake,’ and that’s where the opposition to everything MAGA comes from.
If this group of Deep State conspirators steps in and takes over, Cat Turd is going to have to make room on the bench, as I will retire and spend the rest of my life exposing them for what they are! I am ready to spill 60 years of pent up anger with the Uni Party and I love ugly humor! And I am a damn good cartoonists!!!!!
Hey Robert, I have an idea for a cartoon you can have if you want it: President Trump standing at the dike holding back the ocean with his finger in the hole. But what he doesn’t see are giant waves coming toward the wall.
It isn’t funny, but it is a picture of America’s corrupt financial policy since the Federal Reserve started printing our money.
I have a very bad feeling that the collapse will hit under Trumps watch and he’ll get the blame and the world’s wrath with it.
Pure reprobate evil is what we’re up against. And they won’t stop until the Lord says “enough!” Pray for it to be sooner rather than too much later.
This anti American pos voted for Merrick Garland. I could go on and on about how little was accomplished during his stay.
Oh no, a lot got done. Unfortunately it was all favorable to the Democrats destruction of our country but a lot got done.
OMG, you can’t hate American any more than voting for that Russian Bolshevik!
It’s amazing how Democrat Leadership in the House and Senate raced to support Obama and Biden.
On the other hand, Republican Leadership in the House and Senate couldn’t wait to obstruct and sabotage President Trump at every turn!
They would’ve raced to support Jeb(!)
The bush that thought it was a winner but was a perpetual loser.👀
Oh, say it isn’t so, Sundance. Politicians are gonna politic. Who’d thunk it.
What everyone who posted before me said. Sundance, you are truly a gem, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the clarity and knowledge you sling our way. I suspect this will turn out to be a very interesting year. I pray it’s not a too exciting year spent dodging bullets from foreign armies now amongst us.
Chinese Blessing: May you live in boring times.
The converse is a curse.
I have a question for Sundance.
I have not read the Senate Rules, but I have always found it bizarre that the so-called Majority Leader has the power to control the floor.
What I do know is that, irrespective of the rules, the VPOTUS is the PRESIDENT OF THE SENATE. It seems to me that if Trump selects the right running mate, he might have his VP spend the majority of his time in the Senate shaking thing up, rather than just appearing there when a tie vote is anticipated and needs to be broken. When Thomas Jefferson was VP, he spent a LOT of time running the senate, and wrote the original rules there, which would be interesting study.
The VP is really not needed in the White House. But if the VP spends most of his or her time in the Senate, then he can control the flow of motions, and it would seem to me that he could THWART and UNCLOG much of this uniparty nonsense. And they cannot remove him from the Chair without the House impeaching him.
It seems that this would be a return to the intent of the Founders. Otherwise, they would have simply stated that, when a vote is tied in the Senate, it may be untied by the VP. Nooo. They made him PRESIDENT of the Senate.
What is your opinion on this?
HELLO, we need a reasoned, constitutional answer to this Most Insightful Question! …is there anyone who can do so?!
Surprising that there hasn’t been any follow-up to this suggestion …
Excellent question and assertion.
How very clever of you to project this possibility. I hope you are right. I pray Trump survives to win AGAIN, if there are not mail-in ballots; ballots allowed for illegals; more fraud over absentee ballots for dead people. etc. etc.
And ballots for zombies in kensington phil
https://www.foxnews.com/us/crisis-kensington-philadelphia-area-safe-haven-hell-earth
Great thinking. In this scenario, I could see it as one more reason to consider Senator J.D. Vance for the VP slot. His votes and stands in the Senate have been consistently MAGA.
Senators Collins and Murkowski etc. will always vote with the Dems. We will never have a true majority unless we win a large number of seats. Just like what’s happening in the House. Backstabbing Rinos.
McConnell is actually a snake who stole some poor turtle’s shell.
Actually, McConnell had the excellent advice of a political strategists, to plant and encourage the idea, that Mitch McConnell resembles a Turtle. (Usually turtles are portrayed in cartoons as a loveable creatures.)
……. Mitch McConnell could easily be portrayed as a Kentucky Turkey Buzzard, by a talented cartoonist. +The Kentucky Turkey Buzzard flies with >two wings.
Intellectual humor!
Intellectual frog legs or buzzard wings?
The left and right wing of the uniparty corporatist vulture that is crapping on and stinking up the destruction they have wrought.
I believe we are going to suffer extremely tense and gut wrenching events that will affect all of our lives. Some more than others, but all of us. Those of us who believe should be ready. Remember, no matter how great the stormy seas may get, the only thing that matters is WHO is in the boat with us. Blessings.
Thank you, Sundance, for jerking us back into reality as you remind us of how things work. Blessings.
To borrow the Levin “pallbearer” term, the new leader will need a new set to stand behind him in the hallway pressers.
The new set may be a simple reshuffle of the old .photo positions.
Collins or Murkowski are probably vying for the spot.
McConnell is my senator here in Louisville, KY, and if he was on fire, I’m quite certain I would not pizz on his burning flesh.
two things need done on the national stage. one is the people need to know what this SOB did hiding the border bill negotiations for 9 months from fellow senators and us. then crying when it goes down in flames. broadcast this story. the other is about the abortion debate. make people define what they stand for. you okay with sucking a babies’ brains out in a partial birth abortion? then say it. make people watch a sonogram of a bay in womb pushing away from the cutter. you okay with that? watch the debate collapse.
Baby not bay! 😉
This had the stench of too good to be true all over it from the first syllable uttered.
Okay, I see the wires. I’ve been wondering all day at this news and had no idea that it was this bad.
So, who might be the possibilities to lead the Senate instead of Thune? We need to start calling and writing and calling and writing some more between now and November to make it clear that the people do not support Thune and the UniParty.
trump forced this cucks out. when the maneuvers start, trump will put the pressure on. success is the best revenge.
Bullseye!
I have no confidence there is even ONE U.S. Senator that is genuinely MAGA.
I am confident there are many fake MAGA, acting as a second line of controlled opposition, by saying what we MAGA want to hear.
I AM convinced Josh Hawley and Ted Cruz were IN ON the conspiracy to frame the J6 protesters as Insurrectionists, and I am absolutely certain that they have been made aware of regitigers analyses/explanation of what actually occurred on J6, and why.
100 U.S. Senators, and not ONE that is MAGA.
431 U.S. Members of the House, and I am not any more confident any of them are genuine MAGA.
And its because not one State Republican Party Executive Committee is MAGA.
I thought Hawley got weak-kneed and was put in a political headlock over J6, but in on it from the beginning? Curious, but not shocked at the suggestion.
Rick Scott please
Lord how I wish that we could get out from under the boot of these anti-American grifters in DC. This is not what America is about. Trouble is that so few grasp the problem and even fewer are interested in the solution. They are more interested in their latte’s and inane tik tok dance videos and everything that these scumbags have designed to keep their attention everywhere but on this corruption.
Hopefully, this is why President Trump met behind closed doors yesterday with Noem.
He needed to tell her she won’t be his VP with Thune coming into power.
The fight will not end with Noem and Thune re advancing globalism after 4 years of waiting Trump out.
Surely our president will not put these two South Dakotans in position to do that.
We need to break up the organized crime syndicate for once and for all so they never see the light of day again.
And President Donald John Trump knows this very well this time around; why?
Because “We Caught Them All!”.
President Trump did his part, (whether anyone notices or not), in this timely maneuver of Mitch stepping down as Majority Leader, Ronna steps down as RNC Leader, and Joe Biden heads out to Brownsville, Texas, (after President Trump opened the strategic door to visit the border tomorrow), while President Trump heads out to Eagle Pass, Texas. Quite a contrast and maneuver, right?
Not to mention his recent wins in Lawfare Battles that even Weinstein is crying over publicly.
Underestimate this President at your own peril, joblama.
I soooo hope so. I keep thinking this, but them thinking I am engaging in wishful thinking. I pray it is true. I pray President Trump whom the American people voted back into office to represent them has been working on this all along (while pretending for the “media” to be off the job).
Don’t get caught up in negativity.
In my many years of researching this young NYC businessman, the one trait he NEVER exhibited, was NEGATIVITY.
He believed in and exhibited in Dreaming Big and Working to Make Your Dreams Come True.
Donald Trump is the ultimate believer in the “Power of Positive Thinking” by Norman Vincent Peale. Why? Because when he was a young child, in his formative years, that was the Presbyterian Church his family attended in Manhattan Marble Collegiate Church, with Dr. Norman Vincent Peale as Minister.
Now today’s Wikipedia, etc. make it sound like his father and NY businessman, Frederick Trump, was only interested in attending Peale’s church because he preached about the philosophy of positive thinking, as it related to his personal business philosophy, but don’t believe the re-invention of the truth of the 20th century into the 21st century.
That’s all twisted, twisted lies. I experienced life during that time and that is NOT how Dr. Peale and his Church affiliation was known.
My point is, President Donald Trump has a foundation that is indelible and his enemies do not grasp the truth of that reality but they will learn the hard way very soon.
Amen.
Very well stated!
In the Trump Presidency operation, there is a behind the scenes part of the operation and a front face part of the operation.
President Trump is the front face of the operation.
While the front face has been hard at work campaigning (and showcasing the corruption within the DOJ with all his court appearances), the behind the scenes part has been hard at work too.
I believe the “Mitch stepping aside” is part of the back operation showing Mitch the receipts and showing him where this whole thing is headed. He was “allowed” to come out and make a speech about his stepping down. It was obviously not of his choosing. I believe it is part of the ongoing swamp cleaning operation.
We may be headed towards our own version of “slowly at first, and then all at once” regarding the clean up operation underway.
We caught them ALL. We’ll see what happens.
Cornyn will go down in 2026.
Let’s make it happen!👍🏻👍🏻
You can’t beat someone with no one. Who is out there building the support to take him on?
I don’t understand the appeal, but Cornyn has a strong base of support in Central Texas/San Antonio that just votes for him reflexively. Even against a strong challenger, he starts way ahead in the vote count.
I think he can be beaten, but whoever it is needs to be working on it now. Dan Patrick?
If the GOP and DNC are just the two wings, left and right, of the same UniParty vulture, then the body of the bird must be the UniDonor gang. That gang is made up of retired Pentagon generals working for the Military Industrial Complex, the retired DOJ, CIA and FBI big-shots working for all the social-media and BigTech companies and the retired Judiciary assigned to Nanny big corporations that do not donate to the DeepState. The head of the bird is all the billionaires that have been created by government, who contribute to government but depends on government for their future wealth. Of course, every living organism must deficate and that function is fulfilled by our MSM on a regular basis and that is what they consider keeping the constituents informed how well UniParty Vulture is performing.
DC HAS BECOME AN INTERLOCKED DEPENDENCY ON EVIL CORRUPTION.

Does President Trump know this like you describe? Is someone trying to communicate these things; so he isn’t misled in his second term, like he was so terribly the first time? In one of his recent rallies, President Trump said clearly, how he was taken advantage of, and misled, on account of his inexperience in Washington; by those he thought should be trusted: but this time he knows them all, and everything that’s going on. And he has said, that there is retribution coming for them all.
I remember that I was praying for God to clean out all the wicked and criminals; and I did send emails to President Trump, at ‘whitehouse.gov’ several times, encouraging him to fulfill what God had put in his heart to do.
Now we know that God has a time and purpose for everything; and that we also are appointed to struggle, and sorrow, and the sweat of our face, in this world; and that there are important reasons for the times coming to what they are: even so, I do pray for the good and just and the right to prevail, and that God would help us with a little help, as He has said He would. Our part is to walk uprightly before Him with a perfect heart; doing what He shows us and teaches us each day; and trusting Him ALONE for all the way that we take, till we come home to Him.
Just as we all have learned a great deal in the last 8 years you can bet that Trump has too. I don’t think he’ll make the same mistakes again.
Washington is complex to say the least. Trump didn’t have a scorecard when he got there…he didn’t really know the players at all. That won’t happen again.
President Trump knows more than anyone of us can imagine.
Rest well and carry one.
Stay Frosty and Strapped!
So what’s changed? Nothing. Business as usual. How long to MAGAfy the Senate leadership?
It will be in Trumpian Time, of course
.
Sundance does a fantastic job. He can’t put EVERYTHING in one article. So, I’d like to add my 2 cents. The reason the Turtle kept a 60 vote-to-pass majority rule for legislation along with Schumer and others was because it paid BIG money. How? With 50+ Democrats voting +/-; all “Cocaine Mitch” had to do was provide another 5-7 or 8 RINO votes to pass a bill; for a price… Those 5-7 or 8 got A LOT in return from corporations, universities, foreign governments, private donors, etc. If the Republicans in the Senate decide to turn conservative and put the 5-7 or 8 into the minority of their membership they have the numbers by far to do it. If the Republicans decide on business as usual they turn out to be RINOs and “Decepticons.” They will find a new “Senior Leader” accordingly for their caucus. We will know if the practice continues of selling Republican Senate votes to Democrats in majority power for various payments. If so, the same “circus” will continue but with a different “clown” or two. Time will tell.
So far the only one that filed to run against barrasso in WY is a clown….but I will vote for the clown in the primary to get rid of the bigger clown.
.
Wyoming?
Surely this is a rodeo clown.
Rodeo clowns serve a brave and useful purpose.
I have always wondered why the people of Kentucky continue to send Mitchy Mouse McConnell back to the senate for years?
Dominion? ES&S?
Dirty Mitch pioneered mail in voting fraud vs Wesley Morgan in the primary.
I asked a prominent Doctor in Kentucky that very question. His reply was that McConnell brought in lots of money for them.
Can’t help but notice how this allowed the media to ignore Hunter Biden’s appearance in the House.
This>>>>

What is it about Putin’s generous exit ramp offer that Thune, Cornyn and Graham don’t understand? Ukraine is losing 1,000 men a day!
The Vladimir Putin Interview –
Tucker Carlson: Do you think it is too humiliating at this point for NATO to accept Russian control of what was two years ago Ukrainian territory?
Vladimir Putin: I said let them think how to do it with dignity. There are options if there is a will.
Up until now there has been the uproar and screaming about inflicting a strategic defeat on Russia on the battlefield. Now they are apparently coming to realize that it is difficult to achieve, if possible at all. In my opinion, it is impossible by definition. It is never going to happen. It seems to me that now those who are in power in the West have come to realize this as well. If so, if the realization has set in, they have to think what to do next. We are ready for this dialogue.
“We offered them an early out, and they rejected it in favor of an appeal to arms in order to inflict what they imagined would be a severe strategic defeat against Russia on the field of battle. But their reach greatly exceeded their grasp. They cannot defeat us. Now let them seek a delicate exit from the mess they’ve gotten themselves into — but we will achieve our objectives.”

“Mailed-in voting has been used in a lot of places for a long time and, honestly, we’ve got a lot of folks that, as you know, they’re investing heavily in trying … to win that war……”
Asked if he agreed with the president’s repeated charges that mailed-in balloting will lead to a “rigged election” and “massive voter fraud,” the Senate majority whip told reporters, “I don’t.”
Just renewed the driver’s license in a deep blue state. It’s all changed since the last time. Can’t go to the DMV anymore, at least not without making an appointment, and that’s reserved for a small number of specific tasks. (It’s the post-Covid world, don’t-cha-know) Everything is done online. After logging in by entering my license number, I work my way through the program’s pages and get to a voter registration page. There was no way, NO WAY, to get through the process without registering to vote unless I wanted to purger myself. To add to this, the state has begun issuing licenses to illegals residing in the state. Of course everyone swears up and down that illegals can’t vote, but thanks to the license renewal system the state will have a database of all those drivers registered to vote, but more importantly, they have the names, DOB, and addresses of all the illegal drivers who won’t be on the “official” voter rolls, because of course you can’t register to vote using this computer system if you’ve declared yourself ineligible. How convenient would it be to manufacture mail-in ballots when there’s a data base at your finger tips of all the people that won’t be voting, so won’t be looking to see if their name and address showed up in a pile of mail in ballots under somebody’s desk on election day.
Most secure election ever. Yup…….
100% correct!
I moved from Washington state received forwarded ballots to my new state address
more than once. I had removed myself from the voter rolls I had thought. I destroyed
those ballots. I still felt uneasy about it so went back online to see if “I had voted”
and wouldn’t you know it, I had to it asked for all of my updated information in order to see if
my name was used to vote. Just like you said opening myself up to being charged for double voting.
What a shit show!
Team Sticky has sadz.
Mike Lee
@BasedMikeLee
The next Senate GOP leader shouldn’t direct a superpac—able to raise $400 million per election cycle, all because he’s the Senate GOP leader—and then use that superpac to reward GOP senators and candidates he deems personally loyal to him and punish those he deems disloyal.
This, on a microcosmic level, is exactly what the federal machinations are. And they also shouldn’t have that leverage over the States.
But wait, theres more!
Almost all other PACS are restricted by FEC rules, on how much $ they can pump into Senate and House campaigns.
NOT the NRCC, the DCCC, or the RNC; they can pump UNLIMITED amounts into campaigns, or NOT.
Hence the horsehead in the bed, offer ya can’t refuse control; if your Dem opponent IS getting unlimited, unregulated funding for their campaign, from the DCCC and DNC, and (because you are MAGA and beat McConnells RINO in the primary) Mitch and Ronna WITHHOLD any funding from the NRCC and RNC, you WILL lose,…
Which is exactly what happened to a whole host of MAGA candidates in 2022, like Mastriano, DePerno, Majewski, Walker, etc.
Notice Gaetz, MTG, Hawley, Graham etc. did NOT have any problem with being outspent by their Dem opponent, …
Don’t forget. The Turtle told Trump if if pardoned Assange he would like be convicted when impeached.
Repeal the 17th Amendment.
Make these little people accountable to the State Legislatures.
Of course, the donor class would then mess with state legislature elections, but that would spread them thin, We The People would have a chance to fight back on our home turf instead of the concentrated influence in distant DC.
If returned to the original process, 38 senators would be MAGA.
Glitch McTurtle won’t last another year anyway
Not so fast, Sundance! It’s a Trap! And it’s Glitch McConnell Decepticon-nation all the way down:
[Headline from AoSHQ:] “Senate Sources Tell Sean Davis: Mitch McConnell Isn’t Really Stepping Down. There’s a Revolt Brewing and He’ll Likely Be Removed from Leadership, So He’s Saying He’s “Stepping Down” To Stop the Vote to Remove Him.”
Sean Davis @seanmdav
Senate insiders tell me McConnell’s surprise announcement is a desperate move to retain his grip on power, as his support within the conference is cratering following his disastrous attempt to rubber stamp Biden’s open borders amnesty policy. Rather than face a formal vote of removal, McConnell announced his plan to resign the leadership post in November. Career Senate staff tell me momentum was building within the Senate GOP to formally oust McConnell as leader.
“Even a growing number of moderates were angry at the chaos he was sowing in the conference,” one senior Senate GOP aide told me.
An open rebellion against McConnell was in the works due to his “repeated sabotage of Republican priorities and border inaction,” the aide said.
Others told me McConnell’s move was entirely cynical, and an attempt to cling to power for another 8 months.
He’s just trying to get ahead of “a possible defenestration,” one aide said.
I’m not sure about anything these days. Let alone Glitch. I think he knows his time to meet the Creator is coming soon. I am not being mean. I just don’t see that there is anything left to wring out of him. I’ve witnessed first hand the final light going out of a several family member’s eyes.
The picture Sundance posted of him along with his aide reminded too much of Brandon. Fumbling and bumbling around and still President of the USA. I am surprised Mitch or Glitch or Turtle actually resigned. Thankfully, there is no one who can fill his filthy, dirty shoes.
He will be resurrected from the dead in the form of his wife Elaine Chao. Not Thune. Money makes the world go round. And Elaine has a LOT of it. Hopefully she will spend her fortune on keeping Mitch comfortable.
I am so mean spirited, but only about other humans who have caused too much suffering unto others. Don’t fall into my way of thinking. It will get you nowhere.
Just my dark thoughts in these times.
I’m am also an elder by my age, but geez. I know when to hold my cards, and when to fold them. Too
The last thing he does before stepping down—-> he will help Biden give amnesty to all the illegals so they can vote and to steal the election from Trump and the people!!!!
A lot of people commenting here suspect the Senate is a snake pit of betrayers of the American people and there are many reasons to suspect that. However, the last nine years, with Trump being in office for four of them and out of office for the rest of them, has revealed how completely and openly corrupt all department of the government are. Bearing that in mind it is possible that business as usual may not be in certain ways quite the same as before; and Thune irrespective of Mitch’s grooming may not be quite the same as Mitch. Time will tell.

It will be interesting to see the impact Kari lake will have on the Senate. After having been ripped off of the Governorship by the spotted toad, Katy Hobbs, she won’t be taking prisoners. The odium of Mitch McConnell looking the other way and doing nothing when the elections were stolen and Trump and Lake both got a knife in the back won’t age well. The Evil Turtle might be getting out now knowing it is better to look like you are leading a parade instead of getting thrown out by a mob.
I see her forming a strong pro-America contingent with JD Vance, probably Hawley and Eric Schmidt, and hopefully these would lend much needed courage to a few others.
One would like to think that the situation at the border, the level of the invasion and consequent crime, would be sufficient to curb some otherwise globalist tendencies.
“Americans Are Being Lied To About Ukraine” – Tucker Carlson Reflects On Putin, Zelensky, Navalny & Nuclear War | ZeroHedge
American falsehoods & the Ukraine war
I mean, I guess I reject the whole premise of the war in Ukraine from the American perspective, which is a tiny group of dumb people in Washington has decided to do this for reasons they won’t really explain. And you don’t have a role in it at all as an American citizen, as the person who’s paying for it, whose children might be drafted to fight it. To shut up and obey, I just reject that completely. I think, I guess I’m a child of a different era. I’m a child of participatory democracy to some extent, where your opinion as a citizen is not irrelevant. And I guess the level of lying about it was starting to drive me crazy.
The idea that Ukraine would inevitably win this war. Now victory was never, as it never is, defined precisely. Nothing’s ever defined precisely, which is always to tell that there’s deception at the heart of the claim. But Ukraine’s on the verge of winning. Well, I don’t know. I mean, I’m hardly a tactician or military expert. For the fifth time, I’m not an expert on Russia or Ukraine. I just looked at Wikipedia. Russia has a hundred million more people than Ukraine, a hundred million.
It has much deeper industrial capacity, war material capacity than all of NATO combined. For example, Russia is turning out artillery shells, which are significant in a ground war at a ratio of seven to one compared to all NATO countries combined. That’s all of Europe. Russia is producing seven times the artillery shells as all of Europe combined. What? That’s an amazing fact, and it turns out to be a really significant fact. In fact, the significant fact. But if you ask your average person in this country, even a fairly well-informed person of good faith who’s just trying to understand what’s going on, who’s going to win this war? Well, Ukraine’s going to win. They’re on the right side.
…And I raised that question in my previous job, and I was denounced as of course a traitor or something. But okay, great, I’m a traitor. What’s the answer? What’s the answer? VicToria Nuland, who I know, not dumb, hasn’t helped the US in any way, an architect of the Iraq war, architect of this disaster, one of the people who destroyed the US dollar.

The turtle is playing games and needs to be removed ASAP!!!!
Same with Rona!!!
Add Idaho Senators Crapo and Risch to the “extinct RINO” list. There needs to be a “Contract with America” type of coordinated movement, to dump all of these Senators within 4 to 6 years. I don’t see it happening. The money hook is set too deep. Too many people benefit from their graft, and those who don’t dip in as deeply, seem wholly satisfied with the status quo. I’m trying to think of a GOP Senator that I trust at all. For all the Trumpster-hate on Cruz, he’s more conservative than most of the rest. Josh Hawley? Man, I just don’t know. It’s like I used to trust Jim Jordan, but he seems to have gone GOP-e on many issues, as well. However, I can never recall trusting a GOP Senator to (a) be honest, (b) be graft free, and (c) follow through on his/her conservative commitments.
I don’t trust the elected GOP, any of them. I “trust but verify” a few, but 95+%, are pure garbage. How can conservatives raise meaningful opposition (i.e. via the Constitutional processes) when the GOP won’t even fight for clean elections? They’ll allow the J6 folks, Trump, and all his administration’s aides to twist in the DOJ’s foul wind, while going about “business as usual”, as in, “yeah, we only wanna spend $1.9T more than the government takes in, not that outrageous $2T that the Dems want, but hey, we’ll negotiate …”. NOTHING seems to have a bottom line with the GOP. The GOP defines the world “feckless” in total. PEOPLE ARE DYING because of the Dems election theft, because of their pro-invasion policies, their absolute degradation of America’s defenses, etc., yet the Pubbies just can’t raise themselves to do anything meaningful.
So, yeah, I can’t vote for them, either. However, if there’s EVER a meaningful campaign to toss out the RINO’s, to actually TURN THIS COUNTRY AROUND, I’m in. As in, 24/7 “in”. As in all my career IT and military logistics skills, “in”. But, it won’t happen in my lifetime. We’re far more likely to have a collapsed financial system, a ruined power grid, millions starving, and WWIII, than see the GOP actually reformed. We need the GOP to DIE, so that a new, Constitutional party can rise from it’s ashes.
We need true accountability.
“How can conservatives raise meaningful opposition (i.e. via the Constitutional processes) when the GOP won’t even fight for clean elections?”
This!!!
I see AP is still pretending that President Trump lost the 2020 election. I often wonder if the MSM propagandists realize how stupid they sound, repeating the same lies that we all know are lies.
CCP has no reason to keep Mitch around much longer. His sister in laws death was most likely a warning shot .
Driving your new “self-driving” Tesla backwards into a lake without hitting the breaks or jumping out is a pretty High-Tech and Climate Friendly warning shot, if I say so myself!
Thune looks like he just came out of prison ………………. or is headed there very soon. Either way ……………
Glitch’s legacy. The Co-conspirator to the J6 Coup. He and all his Senator stage props have to go.
Revenge is a dish best served cold, as in cold turtle soup.
Even better with that cold turtle stare.
Who knows, maybe our favorite President will have two scoops tonight.
