The following linked article is extremely important because the methods that are being used to influence the Russian election in March will be some of the same methods that will be used in the US election in 2024. (One of the main financiers of these influence operations is George Soros.) But recognizing what methods will be used is helpful in preparing to counter those activities.
First method – “The western powers are using social media and other technology to “erode confidence in the electoral system, not just domestically but also on the international stage, deploying a barrage of propaganda, misleading official narratives, and unfounded accusations from Western officials.”
Second method – “They are using Russian-language media sources – foreign agents funded by Western money, such as Meduza, DOXA magazine, HOLOD media, Novaya Gazeta Europe, and so on, which directly use materials provided by foreign sources.” The use of fakes are “part of large-scale information operations aimed at rapid replication and instant emotional reactions of social media users, including fear, anxiety, doubt, distrust and outrage.”
Third method – “The greatest danger…for the upcoming Russian presidential election is the direct work of Western intelligence services to prepare subversive activities at polling stations….in order to create the right picture for foreign media. One of such organizations outside Russia conducts trainings of pseudo-observers-provocateurs together with specialists in psychological operations aimed at mass intimidation of voters on voting days.”

Russian forces claim they have successfully destroyed an American-supplied M1 Abrams main battle tank for the first time, coming two full years into the Ukraine war, outside the captured city of Avdiivka in the Donetsk region.
The US-made advanced tank was reportedly taken out by a kamikaze drone or loitering munition launched by Russia’s 15th Motorized Rifle Brigade. Russian state media accounts made the announcement Monday and published video purporting to show the destruction of the M1 Abrams main battle tank.

Is there another place where this article has been edited as to grammar and punctuation? I actually spend a lot of time reading it as I thought I might do everyone a favor and rewrite this. I couldn’t begin to make sense of much of it.

I will do that! I am someone who likes to read transcripts in lieu of listening to videos. My cat begs to differ and feels I do a better job of petting her if I’m not reading.

Looking at the captioning as she reads that, there is no real punctuation.
At least the captioning is not ALL CAPS. Ugh.
And she reads it all in machine gun fashion. Her mouth is an assault weapon trying to shoot down the FBI.
These are small descriptive clauses lifted out of the report.
If some one were to try to punctuate it to make sense, I would recommend either a separate line for each clause, or to make small paragraphs with no more than 10 clauses strung together.
But intelligibility was thrown away when the clauses were lifted out of context.

Noticing changes at grocery stores. As Sundance says slowly at first and then all of a sudden.
Walmart’s is reducing the breadth of their products and rearranging the relative space they devote to liquor, pet food, clothes, bread, soda, and so on. (Maybe, due to the markup or profit on each?) They have eliminated virtually all of the products I bought there. It also has the feel of a convenience store. I shopped at Walmart’s weekly for over 20 years. This week I went elsewhere.
It is not just my store as friends have described similar issues in other areas.
Someone suggested perhaps the products I bought were not made in China and they are cutting those out and giving preference to the Chinese products. I don’t know.
Costco also is suddenly different. Many, many more clothes. Few books (are there any at all?) Hardly any kids toys, less furniture. All the people checking receipts were Asian in a neighborhood where they are few if any Asians. It would be more natural for there to be Hispanics, Blacks, even Muslims with Hijabs. Much less seasonal during the Holidays.
