This is probably the next level. First, as here in Washington, comes the State’s “right” to remove children who express a wish to be transgendered or use different pronouns. That includes children who are merely visiting the state with their parents. One of my granddaughters is a “tom boy” and they visit next month from Texas. I told my son to tell his daughter to keep her mouth shut as to “I wish I were a boy!”
Considering that they believe our children are ‘theirs’…I could easily see this…and are they floating a balloon to see what kind of resistance is out there?

As we approach Super Tuesday here in Texas, there’s an awful lot of candidates for a lot of offices that I think historically a lot of people don’t pay much attention to. We are now realizing that bottom up will likely be the vector of change and we should elect MAGA from school board, to state rep, etc.
My question: Does there exist a MAGA voter’s guide so we can figure out who’s who? If not, is that something that could be implemented on the Treehouse? I envision a pinned thread with sub-forums by state and by CD for Treepers to post their thoughts on given candidates within their districts.

One has to mark “Democrat” or “Republican” in a box on the OUTER ENVELOPE, where everyone can clearly see your choice. Then there is an admonition — if you check “Democrat” but vote Republican, your ballot will be invalid!

I just visit their websites and/or go to meet-greets when I can. Sometimes a candidate website comes straight out for Trump or MAGA, but, one can tell from issues/stances they take.
When I meet them I usually ask if they agree that America, from town hall to DC, has been taken over by Marxist ideologues. And, that government must be re-taken. Then I ask if, no matter what, will they stand with Trump.

There is a race for State Rep in District 4 (Kaufman County) between incumbent Keith Bell and Joshua Feuerstein.
Bell has the look of the typical “Texan”, always has a big cowboy hat and obviously has a lot of money, his signs are everywhere. He bills himself as a “strong conservative for Texas”. After hearing some negatives about him, my wife and I looked into his voting record and discovered that he had claimed to “accidently” vote the wrong way nearly 149 times! He voted to impeach Ken Paxton, to fund hospitals that were doing child gender surgeries and is against school choice.
Feuerstein is a newcomer, a pastor, and seems to be in line with MAGA.
I am afraid too many “sheep” will see all those signs and vote for the nice man with the cowboy hat. I am beginning to think that wearing a cowboy hat in political adds is a sure sign that you are just a pandering politician.
THIS is the kind of thing I’m talking about. In my district House Rep Reggie Smith says all the right things, acts like MAGA, talks like MAGA, but he voted to impeach Paxton, and there are some other concerning things..

Some of those are non partisan positions, so in cases like that, look up the person’s name on the FEC website, or opensecrets to see who they may have donated $$$ to in previous years.
I encountered the same in Washington state. Ended up calling each candidate’s office to simply ask, “What’s your view on the MAGA movement and do you support President Trump’s re-election?” Laborious task, to say the least. And sometimes you end up with “None of the above.”
Was coming to post about MA on Super Tuesday and decided to jump in on yours. Fireworks this morning on WRKO (Boston, conservative radio) with Geoff Diehl (led the huge win in the ‘gas-tax’ referendum but lost to Elizabeth Warren for Senate; lost to Maura Healey for Governor) calling in and railing against the MA GOP and their supporters. Challenged Howie Carr (afternoon radio host who has been merciless in his criticisms of Diehl) to a debate after pointing out that Howie is taking money from the MAGOP. Should make for an interesting afternoon show for Howie.

In MA, the State Committee consists of 1 male and 1 female from 40 districts (80 total) that will lead the MA GOP ideology for the next cycle. If you live in MA, the MAGOP has become completely dysfunctional, unless you like losing. Bickering, accusations, lack of cohesiveness, etc. it is no wonder MA is considered staunchly blue – the gang that couldn’t shoot straight continue to run the show.

The stock market remains strong as the month of February comes to a close. Though my emotional bias feels the stock market should be falling, my technical indicators say otherwise. With the Biden economy in a high inflation mess what is it the stock market makes new highs? My only explanation is the Trump Maga affect.
