The funding partner for Trump Media & Technology Group said it has received regulatory approval from securities regulators that will allow it to proceed with a long-delayed merger. The combination could provide former President Donald Trump with a stake worth almost $4 billion.
Digital World Acquisition Corp. (DWAC), a so-called special-purpose acquisition company, said Thursday in a statement that the Securities and Exchange Commission had signed off on its proposed merger with Trump Media. DWAC said it plans to announce within two days a date for shareholders to vote on the deal.
The SEC said it doesn’t comment on individual issuers. Shares of DWAC jumped $6.63, or 15.2%, to $50.18 in early afternoon trading.
Clearing this regulatory hurdle amounts to a major win for Trump and his media business, which runs the conservative-leaning Truth Social platform. The merger has been in the works since October 2021, but had stalled because of regulatory concerns and other roadblocks.
If the merger is completed, Trump would own nearly 79 million shares in the new business, or as much as 69% of the combined company, a DWAC filing shows. That stake could be worth as much as $3.95 billion based on DWAC’s stock price on Thursday.
For the first nine months of 2023, Trump Media had revenue of $3.4 million, up from $237,000 in the year-ago period.

I agree, it is theater and string along. He has to put up 10% at most and even that will be appealed based on the bs factor of the case. He goes to the NY court of appeals, then the NYSC. He can appeal to the SCOTUS after that.
What is so disgraceful is anyone and everyone that have the authority to toss this in the garbage, are sitting on their hands, not upholding the rule of law.

Robert Kennedy Jr. has been granted a massive victory in his lawsuit against the Biden administration for colluding with social media companies to censor him and others.
RFK Jr. was able to win a preliminary injunction against the White House and several federal agencies as a federal judge ruled that the government was “insinuating themselves into the social-media companies’ private affairs and blurring the line between public and private action.”
Judge Doughty said Kennedy provided substantial evidence that the Biden administration had coerced the companies into suppressing free speech related to Covid, elections, gas prices, climate change, gender, and abortion.

The fine print of New York City’s “Our City, Our Vote” law, enacted in December 2021, says anyone with a work authorization who has been in the city for a mere 30 days can vote, even if that person entered the country illegally.
Biden’s recent action fast-tracking work authorizations for Venezuelan border crossers, who make up about 41% of the Big Apple’s recent arrivals, will make tens of thousands of them eligible to vote under city law, as soon as they obtain their working papers. That is, if New York City’s voting law is allowed to go into effect.

I was wondering on Krazy Judge Endonut’s ruling of $356 million – was it tied to some formula or based on some degree of over inflated assets supposedly? – you would think he would have to base it on something to come up with that huge number – that in itself is probably his weakest link in his TDS tantrum – he may have overgegged the omelet as the saying goes ?
Here’s the breakdown:
so it is confiscation of ill gotten gains or something – or something ? the banks could have /should have charged higher interest rate , or bought those assets at lower price and they needed NY state to step in to right this wrong ?and nobody getting any of this $$$ except NY state – all clear now ?
They may have listed in a line item but how they determined those amounts from those events seems really pretty arbitrary – the supposed over charge profit (?) from an arms length sale ? Really ?
