In an effort to keep the Daily Open Thread a little more open topic we are going to start a new daily thread for “Presidential Politics”. Please use this thread to post anything relating to the JoeBama Administration and Presidency.
“This is no small thing, to restore a republic after it has fallen into corruption. I have studied history for years and I cannot recall it ever happening. It may be that our task is impossible. Yet, if we do not try then how will we know it can’t be done? And if we do not try, it most certainly won’t be done. The Founders’ Republic, and the larger war for western civilization, will be lost.”
“But I tell you this: We will not go gently into that bloody collectivist good night. Indeed, we will make with our defiance such a sound as ALL history from that day forward will be forced to note, even if they despise us in the writing of it.”
This thread will refresh daily and appear above the Open Discussion Thread.
Whenever the possibility presents, throw sand into the machinery…

Regarding the probable discharge petition to get the Ukraine bill to house floor. If that is their route, make them do it. Get as many GOPrick RINOrats on the record of everything. No “unanimous consent”. Every vote is recorded.
No. Do not even allow a vote.
Time to put a stop to the crooks
At Gateway Pundit
“House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) on Tuesday told PunchBowl News’ Jake Sherman that he will not put the Senate aid bill on the House floor.”
Good.
That allocation of funding did not originate in the House.
He needs to flat out tell Mitch to piss up a rope.
Better result if says jump off a bridge.
deleted
Is this where the discussion by the rat bastards of a discharge petition begins?
Yep, it’s already being discussed. The Dems and some Repubs have been trying to line up the needed 218 votes for a discharge petition, a procedural move to over-ride Johnson and force the bill out of committee and to the floor for a vote.
Apparently this tactic has only very rarely worked in the past.
Have heard that up to 12 Dems may not support the bill. To get to the needed 218 votes for a successful discharge petition they could potentially need up to 18 GOP willing to defy the Republican leadership. Unless they are retiring at term end, that’s a tall order.
Even if 100% of Dems support the discharge petition, they’d still need a handful of Republicans willing to openly defy their leadership. The retiring ones worry me though.
A good overview of the way the discharge petition works and the timeline:
https://www.nytimes.com/2024/02/13/us/politics/congress-discharge-petition-ukraine.html
They will have no problem having 18 republicans support dems. If it was pelosi in charge, there would be no defecters. Pelosi would crack the whip and thy would all fail into line.
Now let’s see if he actually holds to that statement once all the pressure comes down on him… Thus far, I have not been impressed with his ability to stick to his positions!
What pressure. We can’t afford it and your constituents want no part of it. Say that 200k times if necessary.
Well, the House jusd voted 214 to 213 to impeach Mayorais, so he did do what he said he would get done, at least this time.
Got it through the second time by the” skin of his teeth”. He is working with bought and paid for Republicans who weak sauce at best.
And it will go nowhere as usual.
It is important to report the lies and law breaking. Perhaps it will even be on C Span.
The biggest reason why it will go nowhere is because voters gave the Senate majority to the Democrats. People need to stop doing that.
Only 214 to impeach Mayorkas? Who are the five traitors?? There are 219 GOP Representatives right now.
The House official vote reporting site says only three Republicans voted no:
Buck (Colorado)
Gallagher (Wisconsin)
McClintock (California)
Two Republicans did not vote, I don’t know what their excuses were:
Mast (Florida)
Salazar (Florida)
https://clerk.house.gov/Votes/202443
Voters pay attention. All of these seats are up for grabs this year.
Throwdown!
Johnson Brushes Off McConnell Ukraine Funding Push
Says House ‘Certainly’ Will Not Vote on Senate Plan
SENATORS SMUGGLE MIGRATION FUNDS INTO UKRAINE AID BILL
I know he’s tiny, but he’s a teen compared to Ditch.
He will change a few words before he sends it to a vote./s
But how can the Speaker not bring it up to a vote and a successful vote?
Think of all the jobs for the military-industrial complex and for grave diggers in Ukraine.
No, this garbage shouldn’t see the light of day.
Don’t table it.
Dear Fulton County,
Kiss Your Fani Goodbye.
Can John Cornyn of TX go away?
Doubtful….another one feeding at a government trough since about 1985, if Wikipedia is correct. He has been in the court systems before he was a Senator…has a bunch of law degrees…
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Cornyn
I sent him a strongly-worded message just now requesting that he resign.
Peeling back the layers of the Obama era is like opening Pandora’s box and finding out it’s deeper than we thought. Obama might have slithered out of the White House without a flashy “legacy” tag, but he sure did leave a mess. It’s as if he was the Dems and Deep State’s MVP, playing a long game we’re still trying to wrap our heads around. He wasn’t just about making policy changes; he was on a mission to infiltrate every corner of our sacred institutions and flip them inside out for his—and their—advantage. Just look what he did by weaponizing the intel community, churches, health care, and so much more. But if you think Obama had nothing to do with the wild turn our media took, guess again. Obama had a hand in turning our media into a progressive propaganda machine.

– VP Harris’ team made it clear her responsibilities “began and ended” w/ root causes in just the 3 Northern Triangle counties & Mexico, w/ a former Biden admin official saying Harris has been “at best, ineffective”.

https://www.axios.com/2024/02/12/how-biden-botched-border
that article is a bunch of nonsense
it goes on and on about various issues and personalities and reasons they couldn’t come to agreement
… without admitting that it’s Democrats’ intended objective to maintain an open border that allows 10s of millions of illegal immigrants per year that they can register as Democrat voters
it’s not “disarray” … it’s “INTENT”
It’s a narrative, for sure.
I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s got a grain of truth, tho.
Cuz the Dems know this a losing issue for them and it’s not getting any better.
And they can’t hide it anymore- no matter how much they want to lay it on the Rs for not passing that disgusting “Ukraine,Israel, Taiwan and oh yeah throw in a bit on the US Border” Bill.
oh I don’t doubt the actors are all cross-wise and can’t agree on strategies
I mainly just mean that the author is disingenuous if he attributes the state of the border to that
it leads the audience to focus on that disarray and themselves come to the conclusion that’s why the border’s a mess … while ignoring the true cause and elephant in the room
the border is what it is by intent
Dem intent
It is intent just because it has been going on for THREE + YEARS.
EXCUSES EXCUSES EXCUSES for complete incompetence in the administration and NONE of them make sense. President Trump had it under control and biden screwed it all up by signing everything some idiot put in front of him. He is totally INCOMPETENT and I’m surprised we are not all ash by now.
“Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f–k things up.”
Joe “signed everything” and got the border back to mayhem because that’s the Dem’s design and strategy
Once you realize he’s not on our side (Barack), everything he does makes perfect sense
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Did he stomp his feet and pull on his nuts?
Interesting question.
Yes….
Imagine the head scratching
Apparently Susan Rice and Kamala were not getting along either…..calling each other names. But we know Kamala couldn’t get along with anybody as many of her employees left her.
They both wanted the VP job. Biden can’t handle either of them due to his incompetence and dementia.
There have been links about this over time but I don’t have any of them. Just going from memory.
But this is normal behavior for incompetent liberal women who have been given too much power. JMHO.
Hmmm, more biden dirt coming out, and Rice gets a mention…

This is to be a live debate hosted by Zerohedge, to start at 7:00 pm. eastern time; moderated by Adam Taggart of Thoughtful Money the debaters are Bob Murphy, Jim Rickards, Brent Johnson, and Michael Every. Might be interesting.
This was excellent.
Thank you Bessie.
Highly recommended for all Treepers trying to anticipate economic developments.
Sadly, it appears they mostly agreed in advance to steer clear of the political where possible, although the CBDC discussion and the tariffs discussion couldn’t help but get into it a bit.

Too bad Durham didn’t investigate and indict people over this. Oh…that’s right…not in his purview.
I have noticed Sundance trying to point that out on the nitter version of his Twitter site.
Basically all the news people declaring this is a scoop have bought all the lying denials and gas lighting and just dismissed these truths as conspiracy theories.
BTW, somewhere in the accounts of the scoopers is the claim that this is the info that Trump had collected and had instructed it be declassified. It is like the guilty are once again getting ahead of harmful truths by leaking it to the gullible.
n itter not working no more
😮💨
try https://nitter.freedit.eu/ and then put the twitter address after that, for example:

and see if that will work for you.

That is hilarious! Thanks for sharing.
Mayorkas impeached by the House.
It’s too bad Mitch McChina tanked the MAGA Senate in 2022.
I’m glad the House did that even Mayorkas won’t be removed. If Trump wins he’s gone.
Someone has found more info on the “russia russia russia” hoax:
https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1757486508570030462.html
Excerpt: “They were making contacts and bumping Trump people going back to March 2016,” a source close to the investigation said. “They were sending people around the UK, Australia, Italy — the Mossad in Italy. The MI6 was working at an intelligence school they had set up.”
The IC, a source said, considered the 26 Trump campaign people identified to “bump” or “reverse target,” or manipulate through confidential human sources (CHSs), to be easy marks because of their relative inexperience.
Doing so was illegal, both because US law prohibits such intelligence gathering unless authorized by a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant and because the weaponization of the IC for political purposes constitutes election interference.
Brennan, former President Barack Obama, under whom he served, and the CIA did not respond to requests by Public and Racket for comment. The Justice Department also declined to comment. But, the FBI and GCHQ did respond.”
Not sure if they have something we didn’t already know… but they contend that they do. Might be worth watching.
We knew most of this. It was in bits and pieces across all the prior revelations. But there was also major official denials and gaslighting against all who pointed it out.
Even now, the scoopers are effectively admitting they bought into the denials and gaslighting and dismissing those who knew it as conspiracy theorists. All so that they can aggrandize themselves.
But also notice that they are saying this was in the Binders Trump had declassified before leaving office. If so, this explains the MAL raid. And this would be the evil ones admitting the damning truth before it comes out via the court. And the scoopers are being used.
Well, that does start with an if.
And it shows that Durham was a fraud. He tried to blame it all on Hillary’s lies and minions. But he avoided more unpleasant truths in Obama’s White House.
And he is impeached. Thank god.
Mayorkas was on the board of HIAS, one of the NGOs shipping people into our country by the millions. HIAS gets almost 100 million dollars a year from the US Government to do so.
2023 finances:
Governmental agencies, Grants
U.S. Department of Health and Human Services 23,284,450
U.S. Department of State 59,508,348
U.S. Department of Homeland Security 10,596

Glad it happened.
Unfortunately, won’t mean much.
Get every one of them on record defending this guy. See how that goes for them during their election cycle.
House Republicans vote to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas over border crisis – USA Today by Ken Tran 2/13/2024

“The House voted to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on Tuesday, after an embarrassing failed attempt from House Republicans last week as they seek to make the crisis on the southern border a top 2024 issue.”

Huge story on Zerohedge 6:00 PM
CIA illegally asked for assistance from Five Eyes to spy on Trump and supporters BEFORE 2016.
Any more questions?
Bravo for Sundance!
I will have trouble sleeping tonight just knowing what is coming down the pike! It is happening!
I’ll bet that asshat whatever he chooses that we knew this, via Sundance, years ago.
Now maybe we’ll rope in Zero and Brennan, who should be tried as seditionists.
I actually like Shellenberger and Taibbi because both have their roots in the progressive left-o-sphere of 10 years ago. I think they are honest players, just a bit slow on the uptake. They resonate with the divorced and abandoned classic liberals.
I sure am looking forward to seeing that long awaited Trump binder! 😉 😁
Why can’t those who were spied on sue?
Great question.
The same reason that Trump had to drop his Civil Rico case.
The incontrovertible evidence that’s in the 11” ‘Binder’ required is tied up in the Jack Smith Florida “classified documents” case.
Oftentimes, you will see me opine that that case is the most important one of all.
The evidence will bring the government to its knees.
And the evidence is ‘classified’, right? So it won’t see the light of day?
Officially, undetermined.
Remember, Trump declassified everything.
But the government has brought all these spurious claims to try to keep it from being released. The reason for MAL raid – to seize; and the spurious charges created out of thin air. Refer back to SD’s post about the raid and subsequent case on this issue to refresh your memory. It will come into focus.
Currently, it is tied up in litigation in Cannon’s court.
I do believe it will eventually go in Trump’s favor. The bigger question is when?
I suspect they can over time.
“BIDENOMICS: ALL Jobs Recovered Post-Covid Under Joe Biden Went to Foreign-Born Workers – Including Illegals”
Excerpt:
Comparing the fourth quarter of 2019 to the fourth quarter of 2023 shows 2.7 million more people working in the United States — 2.9 million more immigrants (legal and illegal) and 183,000 fewer U.S.-born Americans. Since the depths of the Covid Recession in 2020 employment has increased for both groups. But the number of U.S.-born workers has not made it back to the 2019 pre-Covid level. Equally important, the share of working-age, U.S.-born men without a bachelor’s not in the labor force deteriorated in the decades prior to 2019, and the rate in the fourth quarter of 2023 was lower still. These
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2024/02/bidenomics-all-jobs-recovered-post-covid-under-joe/
Really makes you think. It’s a win win win: They get to fudge the job numbers using illegals…who will also vote for them and replace “dishwashers and berry pickers” – driving down wages – fix falling birth rates….and also act as a standing army if Americans “do something” about it.
Everything they are doing is illegal and traitorous, and with the pravda media doing their job, half the country votes for more of it.
Federal Government will start PAYING off people’s rent in two states starting this YEAR under new $1.5billion Medicaid pilot program
AZ. and OR.
Makes total sense because Oregon is burning through Medicaid cash and lots of it for illegals here in the sanctuary state. It’s communism by stealth here. Make people poorer and poorer as well as importing poor people and keep expanding the state to pick up those at the bottom while you continue to impoverish the middle. Pretty soon, everyone’s on the dole and you’ve got communism without firing a shot.
-With interest
…and he’d likely donate it all to worthy charities because he’s that kind of guy.
The Civil RICO case that was thwarted by the Jack Smith Florida case on “classified” documents.
His day will come!

More grandstanding.

Belgian Farmers Blockade Port of Antwerp as Battle with EU Green Agenda Continues
Although the blockade of the port comes amid a wider struggle of farmers across Europe, who have faced increasing difficulty amid rampant inflation, the mass importation of cheap Ukrainian agricultural products, and the EU’s green agenda, the latest protest in Antwerp came in response to the Flemish government’s latest decree on nitrogen, demanding that they are cut in half by the end of the decade in order to comply with European Union standards.
Farmers have argued that the decree disproportionately impacts them, while giving carveouts to big business. Speaking to the Gazet van Antwerpen a group of farmers said: “First of all, industry is allowed to emit forty times more than farmers. We are also accused of producing for export. But what about companies like Ineos here in the port of Antwerp, or Volvo Cars? Don’t they also export?”
“This protest comes from below. This time the initiative comes from the farmers themselves. It is mainly us, young farmers, who see our future melting away before our eyes. That is the life’s work of sometimes several generations in the family,” they continued.
“We will remain here until we receive a clear signal from politicians that something is changing. We are prepared for it. We receive a lot of food from bakers, butchers and partners to whom we supply. That gives us the feeling that many people are behind us.”
The broad support for farmers against the climate change-inspired regulations and taxes has sparked fear among globalist governments throughout Europe and even the EU leadership in Brussels announced that it would be walking back several elements of its Net Zero plans in an attempt to quell the anger of the farmers.
However, with around 400 million people set to head to the polls in June to decide the makeup of the next European Parliament, farming groups appear intent to keep the pressure up to ensure that agriculture remains at the top of mind for voters. Arnaud Rousseau, the head of the FNSEA agricultural union in France, said this week that it is “very probable” that farmers in France will once again take to their tractors to demand better treatment.
House Votes to Impeach Mayorkas
https://www.dailysignal.com/2024/02/13/breaking-house-votes-to-impeach-mayorkas/?
The House just impeached Mayorkis — by one vote.
On its face sounds wonderful. But big Yawn from me. People change, policies don’t. The entire American political landscape is totally corrupted and compromised. And just when you think you’ve done the mighty godlike work of weeding out all the politicians there will always be a Nuland, McCord or Vindman. My hope is now cynicism.
Notice how they keep calling these layoffs “reorganization” and “restructuring.” A few articles about CBS did the same thing today.
That’s buzzword\wordsalad\leftist speak for save money: because the economy is broken.
Do their employees know how to code? If so, we were all told they will be just fine.
I don’t think the Ukraine war funding was what Trump had in mind. Atleast not until all peace negotions attempted.
There should also be strict requirements for any loan to prevent loan forgiveness in the future (2/3 agreement in Congress, or something).
However, if approved…make it a loan and add even tougher border security and immigration restrictions to current proposals (ie all illegals admitted who did not come thru current lawful policies…should be immediately deported) via everty means (forced or incentive wise) possible.

Did they do an amendment to take out that part of trying to block and impeach Trump? Has anybody said today, if they managed to get that done?
The Polls in NY 03 will be closing at 9PM.
This is for the replacement of Santos, R. NY.
Election results here:
https://www.politico.com/2024-election/results/new-york-special-election-3rd-district/
It’s 62/38 with 14% of the vore in.
But here’s the note at the link:
….” So far, the bulk of the results come from the New York City borough of Queens, which is the smaller, bluer part of the district. Roughly three-quarters of the vote will be from suburban Nassau County, which is less Democratic.”……
I don’t know if you saw my post which is currently at the top of this page, but looking back at 2022 is interesting. Santos won Nassau quite easily. I hope Pilip can pull it off even if she’s not MAGA, it’s important to retain that seat and then IMO it’s a good bet it will remain red after the 2024 regular election.
just saw it.
Why is Nassau soooooo sloooooooooow to report results??
The Democrat won. They said that there was 8ft of snow. So getting the early votes out is really important because you never know about Election Day.
https://www.politico.com/2024-election/results/new-york-special-election-3rd-district/
I’m looking at live camera views of various places on Long Island including Plainview which is in the NY-03 district. Barely any snow there at all.
https://511ny.org/cctv?start=0&length=10&order%5Bi%5D=1&order%5Bdir%5D=asc&search=Plainview
Yep. It’s been melting all day. Mainly slush.
more like 8″, fair. If that.
Sheesh.
51% of the (expected) votes in and Suozzi’s still ahead 59/41.
Hope it starts turning around…quick.
Oh ugh. They’re already calling it for Suozzi.
Ugh!
(self-deleted, too cranky)
In 2020 this is how NY-03 voted for Biden and Trump:
Biden 54.7%
Trump 44.3%
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020_United_States_presidential_election_in_New_York#By_congressional_district
Now I’m wondering how Santos even won that seat in 2022.
The Dems may have had a GOTV going for the Prez election.
Dem voters have a habit of paying more attention to Prez elections.
And Repubs are famous for ignoring areas that they “think” are primarily Dem.
Why did Johnson and the Republicans rush to expel Santos but nothing was done about Bob Menendez in the Senate?
Johnson could have predicted the vote on the Senate expelling Santos!
Republicans want to lose the House majority!!!
73% in.
55/45 Suozzi
So she’s pulling ahead, but maybe not enough to make up for it.
Somebody said that this is only a temporary election, good til Nov.
If that’s true, then Repubs better get their act together and run somebody who can WIN in Nov.
This gal was a fave of Ronna McD, I think. That in itself may have been enough to take her down.
84% in
54/46
still closing in.
NYT doing their usual spin, they updated and dropped this article into the Mayorkas impeachment live tracker claiming that immigration was halved in January. They half-admit this happens every January, and why it does.
https://www.nytimes.com/live/2024/02/13/us/mayorkas-impeachment#illegal-border-crossings-january
Only one problem: It’s up 25,000 over Jan ’23, and the month of Dec ’23 was up by 50,000.
https://www.cbp.gov/newsroom/stats/southwest-land-border-encounters
Not to mention these are only encounters…not “crossings” as they claim. I expect these numbers to get trotted out in the media any minute now to show how awesome Mayorkas was at his job and how Republicans are going to make immigration worse with his impeachment.

Trump posted this graphic depicting the disproportionate amount of money the United States contributes to NATO
“NATO Countries have to pay up.”
Regarding the NY-03 special election …….
For reference, the 2022 results were this:
Santos 145,824 53.7%
Zimmerman 125,404 46.2%
Pretty easy win for Santos. He won the Nassau County portion of the district, Zimmerman won the Queens county portion.
Just as we would expect, this year the Queens votes are being counted first and Suozzi is well ahead. We’ll see what happens.
Thx for digging out those 2022 results, MAGA.
I’m trying to be optimistic. haha

Comment about 7:45 about Oregon and Arizona getting the federal go ahead to start paying some folks’ rent.
Next headline out of Oregon and Arizona, “rent prices increase and no one knows why.”
So many things the officials hired to know about don’t know.
also expect to see headlines in Oregon and Arizona saying ‘shortage in the rental housing market’.
If any of you think RFK should have anything at all to do with Trump’s administration:
The new records also show the Kennedy 2024 presidential campaign sent several requests to DHS seeking protection for the candidate, who initially ran as a Democrat but switched to Independent after realizing Democrats had no intention of allowing him to challenge Joe Biden for the party’s 2024 nomination. (source: https://www.judicialwatch.org/rfk-jr-secret-service-protection/)
Even more informative are his own words:
“The Democrats are frightened that I’m going to spoil the election for President Biden, and the Republicans are frightened that I’m going to spoil it for Trump,” he said. “The truth is, they’re both right. My intention is to spoil it for both of them.” (source: https://www.nytimes.com/2023/10/09/us/politics/robert-f-kennedy-jr-independent.html)

JUST IN – Democrat Thomas Suozzi, wins New York congressional seat vacated by Republican George Santos, who was expelled from congress.
Democrats gain a U.S. House seat.

Just like the GOPe was told to do. 🙁
A two-fer! Party of Stupid.
What that tells me is the voters in that District support Joe Biden’s destructive policies, support the war in the Ukraine, his open borders, massive Green New Deal spending, inflation and massive deficits? There maybe more of us than of them but are there more ballots of them than there are more ballots of us? Lawfare is hard at work to pickoff enough Republicans that the holy man Speaker Johnson will soon enough be out of a job no need for Republicans to call for a vote it will be done for them by the Democrats, Uniparty and deep state! The Ukraine will get billions more for replenishing their honey pot pleasing those in Congress who have dipped their hand into it! Perhaps Joe Biden can win reelection? Have we become an echo chamber? Just wondering?
According to plan.
As one you tube commentator said, if it’s true that Presidents can be impeached and tried for acts done while serving in the office, but tried, impeached after leaving office –
why can’t FJB be impeached for what he did while he was Vice President in stealing documents he had no right to?
The House could begin impeachment of Joe Biden for acts while he was Vice President tomorrow given the information in that report that was just released.
That’s how this works now, right?
Someone else posted about this. This is one of many reasons why we should NEVER allow Democrats to have control
Federal Government will start PAYING off people’s rent in two states starting this YEAR under new $1.5billion Medicaid pilot program
The Biden administration has granted permission to several states to implement a new Medicaid waiver program that will allow states to pay for housing fees as part of the government’s initiative to reclassify homelessness as a healthcare issue.
The rental assistance will come in several forms, including a one-time payment to help cover a security deposit or to pay for rent and utilities for up to six months.
The first two states to roll out the program this fall, Arizona and Oregon, will target specific subpopulations of Medicaid beneficiaries who qualify under each states’ specific guidelines – which includes people currently homeless or at risk of losing housing and people with mental illness.
In Arizona, which will allocate $550million of its Medicaid funding to the program, 2.5million people are enrolled in the healthcare program.
Oregon will spend part of its $1billion Medicaid budget to combat homelessness through several initiatives, including the rental assistance program. Approximately 125,000 beneficiaries qualify for the new program in the state.

This makes me want to stop working! I’m sick of paying for all of this welfare.
Also in Daily Mail, Jared Kushner says he’s not going to participate in Trump’s second term. Good. Stay home with useless Ivanka. I think Ivanka is, in general, a good person, but she is waaaaaaay too soft for dirty politics. And I am totally unimpressed by Jared.
I read Jared’s book….he was a major instigator of the Abraham Accords as well as the replacement for NAFTA. I suppose some could call this self-serving but if I take the book at face value he was an asset to the USA.
Lara is a fighter. If I had to pick one of those three people to work for me it would take me about 0.2 of a second to decide.
They want socialism so badly. They will never stop trying to force it.
I noted yesterday, next headline, “rent prices in Arizona and Oregon increase drastically for no reason at all to the surprise of everyone.”
Why did Johnson and the Republicans rush to expel Santos but nothing was done about Bob Menendez in the Senate?
Johnson could have predicated the vote on the Senate expelling Santos! Then Santos would have stayed because the Democrats would never expel Bob Menendez in NJ.
Johnson doesn’t want the majority!
I keep thinking about this. The Senate really is a place for protected people because if a Democrat out of control DOJ is willing to indict Menendez, and then the Senate just sits there and spins…the Senate might be the most Uniparty body of our entire government.
This *could* be a medical patient who drove thru , never know.
Trump’s Derision of NATO Prompts Europe To Up Spending on Its Militaries, Plan for Its Own Defense
Excerpt:
From Germany, Bundestag foreign affairs committee member Norbert Röttgen writes on Facebook: “Everyone should watch this video of Trump, and then understand that Europe may soon have no choice but to defend itself.”….
….At Brussels, the EU’s internal market commissioner, Thierry Breton, told France’s LCI television Sunday that Europe has to boost its military spending, adding: “We cannot flip a coin about our security every four years depending on this or that election, namely the U.S. presidential election.” The Financial Times editorialized Monday: “Europeans have to start thinking the unthinkable: how to plan for war without America.”

NATO is outdated and needs to redefine its mission. It has to be paid for by all members (not just the US).
If the EU thinks Russia is a dangerous enemy….then why do they have such great trade and political dependence on Russia?
NATO has been more dangerous (and provoked more conflicts) than Russia over the past few decades when you think about it. It shouldn’t be that way.

discusses the misuse of government funds by Fani Willis and her lover:
“There should be further investigation by the federal government into how funds are being properly utilized. I would argue that this also goes into New York where we know for a fact there were federal funds utilized for indictment against the president..”

Just spoke with a woman who said she refused to vote for Pilip (or at all) because 1) she’s a Democrat, 2) said she’d capitulate if Trump was convicted and 3) felt the expulsion of Santos set a bad precedent, didn’t want them to get away with it.

I know a lot of people criticize Speaker Johnson and I have as well
But every Zelensky spending bill was passed by his Ukraine flag pin predecessor Kevin McCarthy
Not a single Ukraine spending bill has been passed under Johnson
Credit where due, that’s a clear upgrade
