Michigan is holding both GOP primary (Feb 27) and GOP caucus (Mar 2). 16 delegates are up for grabs in the primary and 39 in the caucus, so it’s not like Nevada. The reason for the mess is in one of my comments on the prior page.
Does anyone know: Is it possible for voters to vote in both the primary and the caucus? I know Haley and Trump are candidates in the primary, I haven’t yet seen details about the caucus. It’s really important that Haley be squashed in both.
I’m in Michigan, follow MI Patriot group-have not seen/heard anything about caucus here. Have heard a lot of grumblings to walk away after Trump endorsed Pete Hoekstra (RINO Hoaxstra) and left Kristina Karoma hung out to dry

OK I found the answer. You vote only in the primary on Feb 27, or before if you are doing early or absentee voting. I put more info in a post on the next page (4). Delegates will be the ones who participate in the caucus.

Can you please make a call to your state GOP office to find out if you can vote in both the primary and caucus? Trump supporters need to know.
And I want to add that you can blame the Democrats for doing this. It was Democrats who moved the primary earlier than the RNC allows. People need to stop letting Democrats have power.
She understandably made the common mistake of thinking she could change things, by running for and winning as State Chair.
The real political power is in the State and National Executive Committees.
Thats why replacing Ronda, while emotionally satisfying, won’t really change anything, so long as the State and National Committees remain in RINO hands.
And they have been working all along to undermine MAGA.
It’s not her fault. Governor Whitmer and other Democrats changed the GOP and Dem primary date to February 27 which violated the RNC rule that only 4 states (IA, NH, NV, and SC) be allowed to have primaries prior to March 1. Michigan has 55 delegates but would have been stripped of most if they had gone just with the primary on Feb 27. I posted more info about this on the next comment page (4).

Question for fellow CTH dwellers: In August 2023 reports came out supposedly showing that gun mortality was higher in red states than blue states even with their crime-ridden blue cities. Forbes, among others of course, reported it.
This recently came up on a local blog I am on and I am looking for facts to present to the blog readers.
I figured someone here might have links or sources refuting or explaining this head-lining attack on our 2nd Amendment rights.
Just a guess here. Maybe something with per capita rates. Most blue states have more people, so the absolute number is diluted more. 100 in say Alaska would be more per capita than Illinois with Chicago.
Illinois has 12.67 M, Alaska 732K. So, say IL with 13M and AK with 1M. You could do some math to find comparable absolute numbers for same per capita. Alaska could have lots fewer shootings, probably by hundreds, but still have more per capita.
If I’m not mistaken, using my rounded numbers 1300 of anything in IL would be the same as 100 in AK.
Sorry to keep going, but this is fun, so, 101 snowballs in AK would be more per capita than 1300 snowballs in IL.
Oops. I think correction is needed. 1300 in IL is the same as 1000 in AK. Taking 3 zeros off both. 13M and 1M.

Today, the Russians launched a combined strike with cluster munitions, missiles, and air strikes on Selidovo in the DPR. Selidovo has been an AFU military training ground where troops were being assembled to reinforce Ukrainian soldiers in Avdeevka which is in danger of being encircled. Preliminary information is that there were about 1500 soldiers in Selidovo, among them the 3rd Assault Brigade “Azov”. There may also have been some high level officers present. Selidovo is closed to entry or exit and information will be censored, but reports from the ground indicate hundreds of deaths.
Avdeevka was heavily reinforced with huge stockpiles of weapons and artillery by CIA/Ukraine since 2014. It has been the origin for much of the bombing of Donetsk City since 2014.

Muslims from India moved to areas designated as Pakistan. Hindus from the areas that were to be Pakistan moved to India.
The total number of people who moved is between 14 and 18 million. But that is the total of both directions of migration. Approximately 7-8 million Muslims moved from India into Pakistan.
When people try to make a point, they should bother to look up correct information.
