I used to have the Super Bowl on just to watch the commercials and halftime show (never cared for football in the slightest). It was the only game I ever purposely turned on. But ever since the kneeling/”black national anthem”/Bud Light garbage I haven’t done even that much. Couldn’t care less if another game was ever played, much less televised. Plus, the halftime shows and commercials are pretty cringe-worthy most years, for at least a decade, maybe longer. Even the hubby didn’t watch the game this year, and he used to be a big fan.
If someone merely brought a box of Dunkin Donuts to a company coffee break as the whole plot of the commercial … that would have showed up exactly how bad this commercial was. As a man I don’t find this commercial offensive. It was just plain, ordinary stupid. I saw nothing but obsessed, cloistered ignoramuses. Whoever approved that commercial should be fired. What about it made anyone WANT to eat Dunkin Donuts? Myself, it did not make me NOT want to eat Dunkin Donuts, so maybe that’s the new, lower standard in advertising??? Homer Simpson in his worst moments, and there are many, has done more for donuts than this advertising agency.

Dunkin’ Donuts is a Boston or New England company. It all is based on references to their hometown and friendship. I thought it was a very well done commercial but I understood the references they based it on. Yes they are Hollywood liberals, but I thought this was a good commercial.

The part that is most interesting about the election cases being brought to stop President Trump is the role played by the State level Secretary of State in the states involved or any state for that matter.
It is specifically written into the US Constitution that the State Governments and their supporting Constitutions were to mirror the US National Government and its Constitution. In the US Constitution the only Government Officials with duties impacting the Federal Election are: Congress and Vice President, who presides over the CONGRESSIONAL Certification of the election.
It also seems there are States that have the Secretary of State acting a the “deciding official” without legislative support.
From the discussions of the 2020 Election Issues it sounds like there is a major disconnect with State Level Secretary’s State NOT CONSULTING with State Legislatures and even violating State Legislated Law. We had members of the Supreme Court actually refusing hearings brought by State Legislature, State AG’s and Citizens arguing these points.
It is also curious that not a single lawyer questioning the 2020 Election mentioned the fact that States Violated FEDERAL Presidential Election Laws … yet the ONLY Election Act passed by the US Congress over the passed 2 years nullifies those laws.

Recently, I went to a play in which middle school actors performed. They did a good job and that was surprising. I did not think that such young people could pull it off to any reasonable degree. They did. After the play, I told my companion this: Acting is easy. Telling the truth is hard. The trick is to extract the truth from the blizzards of lies that envelopes us.
Again, I would like to turn my attention to the Tucker-Putin interview. I am increasing thinking that it is a blunder on the part of Putin to do this. This open, American style interview in which he is interviewed like an American President is basically foreign to him and he has revealed more than he realizes. Again, I need to study this interview again. It tells you a great deal indirectly. I like the way he shines is baby blues on Tucker when Putin was trying to disarm him. He did it a few times. People can learn from this, but, I digress.
This is the second time in which he has said that it is a mystery why Ukraine was made into its own country by the Soviet government. Nikita Khrushchev (NK) is the leader who bequeath this independence to Ukraine and Putin understands why. His omission of the reason reveals him to be dangerous at a genocidal level.
In NK’s secret speech, he denounce many actions taken by the Soviet Union including mass starvation and the force migration of people throughout the former soviet union. The Holodomor murdered ten percent of Ukraine’s population. The force migration murdered up to 1.2 million Ukrainians, as well. Holodomore is the deliberate starvation of the population in order to force compliance to the fledgling, brutal state of the Soviet Union. In fact, the forced collectivization and acquisition of agricultural lands and equipment appears to be the template for the force acquisition of agricultural lands and equipment happening now in the Western World under the rubric of Climate Change. I state this not as an easy cheapshot against the new world order; it really is similar. Spot the truth under the blizzard of lies.
At any rate, the Ukrainian dead amount to 3.5 to 5 million and this is Ukraine, the breadbasket of Europe. This figure does not include the injured caused by malnutrition and so forth.
This is why NK gave statehood to Ukraine. I guess NK felt bad about it. Putin’s ignorance reveals more than he intended. Perhaps, by not denouncing mass starvation as a tactic for population enslavement he reserved that right for himself to use it. Or, perhaps, he is watching the West preparing to starve their populations to suppress/destroy Trump supporters and European farmers/truckers and force compliance to digital currencies. I think that he is mindful of all the reasons and supports them all. Food in mass quantities grows easily in Ukraine and government interference caused millions of people to starve to death. Echoes from history are starting to reverberate loudly again.

Upon seeing this reply, a thought occurred to me. Would Putin or any other world leader of note try to spin negative comments into a positive with, say, humor? Of course, they would use teams for this. I respectfully but cordially disagree with your opinion that “this was a mistake on Putin’s part.” I think that he knew exactly what he was doing when he gave that “history lesson.” And I think that this was a very important part of it – albeit probably unexpected.
The details of history are of course “public knowledge,” and so you are free to use your own interpretations as is everyone else. But they are public knowledge, and Putin knows this. If he had made a statement that was fundamentally in error, he would have been called-out for it within the hour. (This is “the Internet,” after all …) 😃
Importantly, Kruschev did not really give Ukraine “statehood.” He created it as a distinct “Socialist Republic” within the USSR. Then, when the USSR was dissolved, it became an autonomous state. But he had no idea that the USSR would ever “dissolve.”

This is the second time Putin claimed that he did not know why NK made Ukraine autonomous. What public knowledge does Putin did not know? His play is to prove that Ukraine is part of Russia by reviewing history of Slavic camaraderie. He omitted that part where Russia murdered 10 percent of the population by mass starvation and up to 1.2 million were killed by forced migration out of Ukraine. This public knowledge undermines his argument that Ukraine is a part of Russia in light the mass murder of his ‘Slav Brothers’. He even talks about how European remember their past irrespective of national boundaries. He spoke about how Hungarians in Ukraine dressed distinctly – and that he mistook them as entertainers – and retained their language and customs. The objective of mass migration is to destroy this attachment to land and customs.
You mention that ‘public knowledge’ is available to all and your right. There is no dispute there. When you are right, you are right. Excellent. Now, explain why Putin does not know why autonomy was granted by NK, who, according to public knowledge, repudiated specifically mass starvation in his secret speech. Putin is the absolute leader of Russia. There is no internal state secret hidden from him. He is the state. I need to pause right here and say – publicly – I like the b@sta@rd, but, he is a b@st@rd and very dangerous. He knows why NK gave autonomy to Ukraine, but, he has stated publicly that he does not know why. That sounds like a cover, a dodge, misdirection.
Ukraine was given autonomy because of the horrors inflicted by them by the soviet union. That is a good, reasonable explanation.
And, you said that they had no idea that they would ever dissolve? Really? I think that WW2 takes away all illusion of this idea. One out of three Russians were murdered by the Nazi’s. The Nazi’s destroyed everything within their reach. It was bloody devastation. And, immediately after WW2, the USA and USSR immediately engage in nuclear brinkmanship. Please, the Russians are very aware that they can be dissolved, destroyed, or by whatever clever means eliminated them from the face of the earth. That is why Putin went into Ukraine to stop Nato from incorporating that country.
Again, Putin said twice, including in the Tucker Putin interview, that the Russians have no illusions. Specifically, he said that they are disillusioned by the West and this statement startled me. It always startles me. I did not think that Russians have any illusions left considering the their history is filled with apocalyptic wars on other people or other people against them.
Now, if you think that I am arguing for or against Ukrainian ‘autonomy’, whether Russia should or should not attack Ukraine then you are wrong.
