I grew up in the 40’s and 50’s. We were totally segregated in virtually all of society. Starting in the early 70’s that slowly began to change. Today, if you look at sports, government, local, state, fed, entertainment, medical, media, etc we have significant minority representation if not dominant in some areas.
The U.S. is the most diverse country in the world. I do not believe that there is any country in the world that has more diversity and inclusion than we do, in virtually all aspects of our society.
Yet they keep exclaiming systemic racism is prevalent, we need DEI, we destroy statues of our great leaders, teach 1619 and CRT and demand reparations from people who had nothing to do with past atrocities which is dividing us more than ever.
One of these days we are going to understand that there is a segment of our population that wants division because it gives them wealth, control and power. If we had an honest media they would see through all this, report on it, and identify the frauds.
I find it interesting that those films are all so popular in our culture … but few if any have seen the film Belle … or even heard of it. It’s a true story about the mixed-race, illegitimate daughter of Sir John Lindsay whose uncle raised her … and ultimately changed the Law of England and eradicated slavery. Yes … white people ultimately doing the right thing by one mixed race black woman and the entire African race. Why is this not as popular a film as all those “white people baaaaad mmmkay” movies?
and BTW … the actress portraying Belle is a virtual doppelgänger for my own daughter in law who just gave birth to my first granddaughter. And we love them both dearly. And … my daughter in law has a PhD in microbiology from one of the TOP Universities in CA … and the world.

They Are Trying to Ban Ham Radio – How This Affects You

For those of you that don’t know, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is considering a proposal by government officials to ban ham radio.
Ham radio operators are the only remaining people in America with access to free and unmonitored communication channels.
This means that if this proposal goes through, we’ll be left with nothing but telephone lines and cell providers who can charge us for every word spoken or text we send.
Why does the government want to ban ham radio?
The proposal, which comes as part of a government drive for spectrum efficiency, would see ham operators forced off their frequencies between 420 and 450 MHz to make way for “public safety”.
Many ham radio operators are also preppers and survivalists, who can use ham radios for communication when all other means of communication go down (i.e., in case of a natural disaster). So it’s within the public interest to keep ham radio available, for safety and peace of mind.
The official story regarding the proposal is about ham radio interference, but many people believe the reality is that ham operators are a threat to government officials because of their ability to communicate without being monitored.
The FCC has been asking for public input on their proposal and so far the response from Americans has been overwhelmingly against this “ham-ban”
What would this ban mean for the future of amateur radio enthusiasts?
If the “ham-ban” proposal is passed, ham radio operators will lose their rights to be on certain frequencies that have been legal for decades. In an age where more and more people are being disconnected from society because of social media addiction, ham radios offer a way for people to connect, without the concerns of being monitored.
This would leave everybody at the mercy of telephone phone providers and the need to wade through all of the distractions present in today’s technological environment.
The ability to have unmonitored communication is a fundamental right. If ham radio operators lose their frequencies, it will mean ham radio operators in the US would lose their rights to communicate freely.

I also had a low power AM radio show that I broadcast from the house. I didn’t and don’t worry much about what the government bans or approves of. Never did get that amateur radio license. 🙂

I stopped reading the Wall Street Journal some years ago: they are not just pro-business, but pro-global business, and hence “Hire Americans First” and “Buy American” are not popular slogans with them.
Hence they are against President Trump and refused to print the truth about election fraud.
Let me know when they call it “the Main Street Journal”.

Third, there is the effect of large jurisdictions. Suppose that you lived in a very small (and independent) school district and didn’t like the curriculum. You could buttonhole the head of the school board, whom you would probably know, and say, “Look, Jack, I really think….” He would listen.
But suppose that you live in a suburban jurisdiction of 300,000. You as an individual mean nothing. To affect policy, you would have to form an organization, canvass for votes, solicit contributions, and place ads in newspapers. This is a fulltime job, prohibitively burdensome.
The larger the jurisdiction, the harder it is to exert influence. Much policy today is set at the state level. Now you need a statewide campaign to change the curriculum. Practically speaking, it isn’t practical.
If the eReps won’t do anything about it (examples – the 2020 and 2022 “elections”) and the Dims won’t do anything about it because they certainly don’t WANT to do anything about it, what are the odds that anything WILL be done about it no matter how much we gripe?
