Hunter Biden laptop saga revived by Biden’s Justice Department

For the first time, the Justice Department has confirmed that they took possession of a laptop belonging to Hunter Biden from a computer shop.

Why it matters: The new filing by special counsel David Weiss, which includes several embarrassing revelations, is the latest example of the increasingly antagonistic relationship between Hunter’s team and his father’s Justice Department in the months after a proposed plea deal unraveled last summer.

When some of the contents of the laptop’s hard drive made it to The New York Post in the fall of 2020, President Biden and his supporters argued that the contents had the makings of a Russian disinformation campaign, and large social media companies suppressed or blocked access to the Post’s article about it.

The DOJ filing on Tuesday tracks the story told by Delaware-based John Paul Mac Isaac, who owned a computer repair shop and claimed Hunter Biden left behind a laptop.

Hunter’s discarded laptop, and whether it exists, is a controversial topic because it came to light in the final weeks of the election when a hard drive ultimately made its way to The New York Post.

Texas authorities double down with razor wire in Eagle Pass after Biden admin ‘cease and desist’ order

Texas authorities have placed additional razor wire to deter migrants in Eagle Pass after Attorney General Ken Paxton defied the Biden administration’s threat of legal action.

Workers were filmed unpacking and installing razor wire in Shelby Park, which had previously served as a staging area for processing during migrant surges at the heavily trafficked border crossing near the Rio Grande.

The razor wire is at the center of the lawsuit between Texas and the federal government. Paxton on Wednesday informed the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) that Texas will not comply with a demand letter ordering the state to permit federal border authorities into Shelby Park. The Texas Military Department (TMD) seized control of the park last week, saying the move was necessary to prevent further illegal immigration into Eagle Pass. There were over 302,000 migrant encounters in December alone after a record-setting 2.4 million encounters in fiscal 2023.

In Heartbreaking House Testimony, Overdose Victim’s Mother Blames Mayorkas’ ‘Wide-Open Border Policy’ For Daughter’s Death

100,000 Fentaynl Deaths each of the last two years

A heartbroken mother gave wrenching testimony Thursday during the House impeachment inquiry into DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, saying, “Mr. Mayorkas’ border policy is partially responsible for my daughter’s death.”

Josephine Dunn’s daughter died at 26 after mistakenly ingesting fentanyl that she thought was oxycodone. Thursday would have been her 29th birthday.

I personally feel Mr. Mayorkas is responsible for opening that border to allow more than 10 million illegal border crossings since February 2021, which supports most of the illegal fentanyl into this country. This weapon of mass destruction has killed over 100,000 Americans on our soil for two years in a row.

Under Secretary Mayorkas’ leadership, or lack thereof, fentanyl is an invasion. The weapon of mass destruction has caused unimaginable numbers of deaths, unmeasurable damage to our country’s families, including my own. My family is broken. My heart is broken. And he couldn’t even be here to face me today. Whatever he’s doing that is more important than facing me today — I don’t know what that could be.

Dunn closed out her testimony by saying, “Our country deserves a secure border. Our country deserves to feel safe. Our country deserves to be free of fentanyl. We need to close the fentanyl super-highway. We need to close the border.”

Covid mRNA Vaccines Required No Safety Oversight

When everyone from the President to your primary care doctor declared loudly and wholeheartedly in December 2020 that the newly FDA-authorized Covid mRNA vaccines were “safe and effective” – what were those claims based on?

In this article, I will review the contractual and regulatory framework applied by the US government to the initial development, manufacture, and acquisition of the Covid mRNA shots. I will use the BioNTech/Pfizer agreements to illustrate the process.

The analysis will show that:

• The Covid mRNA vaccines were acquired and authorized through mechanisms designed to rush medical countermeasures to the military during emergencies involving weapons of mass destruction.
• These mechanisms did not require the application of, or adherence to, any laws or regulations related to vaccine development or manufacturing.
• The FDA’s Emergency Use Authorization for the vaccines was based on clinical trials and manufacturing processes conducted with no binding legal standards, no legally proscribed safety oversight or regulation, and no legal redress from the manufacturer for potential harms. (This last point is being challenged in multiple court cases, so far to no avail.)

What all of this means is that none of the laws or regulations that we count on to protect us from potentially harmful, or deadly, medical products was applied to the Covid mRNA vaccines. The assertion of “safe and effective” was based entirely on aspirations, opinions, beliefs, and presumptions of government employees.

In Part 1 of this article I will provide a summary of the main contractual and legal points and explain how they excluded any requirements for regulatory oversight. In Part 2, I will go through a detailed analysis of the underlying documentation. 

Contractual Framework for Covid mRNA Vaccines 
When the US government entered into its Covid vaccine agreement with Pfizer, which was acting on behalf of the BioNTech/Pfizer partnership, in July 2020, the agreement encompassed a minimum of 100 million doses of a “vaccine to prevent COVID-19” and a payment of at least $1.95 billion. The agreement also allowed for future procurement of hundreds of millions of additional doses.

That’s a lot of money for a lot of items, especially since the vaccines had not yet been tested, approved, or manufactured to scale and, as the agreement stated, were purely “aspirational.”

Obviously, this is not normal procedure. But, then, those were not normal times. The government declared that we were “at war” with a catastrophically dangerous virus that would kill millions and millions of people of all ages unless we could develop “medical countermeasures” (a military term) and get everyone to take them as quickly as possible. 

In keeping with the declaration of war, it was a military framework that was used for acquiring the aspirational products that became known as Covid mRNA vaccines.

Yesterday, American attorney Aaron Siri announced that a judge had ordered the US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (“CDC”) to release additional text-based information collected by the V-safe online application.
