There are several layers around this story that are interesting and funny.
The obvious story is how Chris Christie is talking to Wayne MacDonald, a former chair of the New Hampshire Republican Party, and discussing the futility of Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis. The lesser obvious story speaks to the reason for the entire RAT team’s effort; they each had/have a role to play on behalf of their corporate benefactors.

These politicians are run by the fat cats of Wall Street and K Street. Those are the “they” that Chrispy Chreme Christie was talking about in the audio. They fired him to give Nikki Haley a shot at an upset in NH. What little support Christie had in Iowa will likely gravitate to Haley which will be the difference in her finishing 2nd in IA and sending DeSantimonius packing to FL. With both Christie and DeSantis out of the race, it sets up a one on one between Haley and Trump in NH.
What’s interesting was that these fat cats gave each of these puppets a budget to go and make hay against Trump. Christie on hot mic revealed they were all on the dole including DeSantimonious but now at crunch time the decision has been made to back Haley.
Christie is correct about Haley, she doesn’t have a prayer. She’ll get smoked. The fat cats know this because even they see the polling on Biden. I think their objective now is to get Nikki Haley on the ticket with Trump, in a repeat of what happened with Bush in 1980. In that race, Bush upset Reagan in Iowa but then went on to get smoked by Reagan in the rest of the contests. Nevertheless, to unite the party, Reagan put Bush on the ticket, only to almost get assassinated a couple years later after he won the 1980 election. Coincidence?
Trump should be wise and it is of utmost importance that MAGA show up in droves in both IA, NH and SC. Trump must show that his coalition can do without the GOP establishment, while being magnanimous in victory. Once victory is secured, Trump should immediately choose his VP in Ben Carson and go to work on challenging the ballot harvesting operation of the Dems in the courts all the way to the Supreme Court ahead of the election! All if this exercise in futility is sickening. Think about the resources of time and money that could have been used to build ballot harvesting operations in swing states. To clean up dirty voter rolls, to push legal efforts to implement voter ID and eliminate drop boxes, mail in voting etc. Instead, a billion dollars gets burnt to ash to try and stop the inevitable candidacy of Donald Trump because “Orange Man Bad.”
