Given the recent discussions about a potential Vice President pick by Donald Trump, several people have asked for my perspective.
Because I look at the office of the presidency slightly different than most, and specifically because the real challenge that needs to be addressed is located deep inside each institution of government, my perspective on the running mate is somewhat different than most.
The Vice President is the safety mechanism for continuity of government in the event that something happens to the President.
Additionally, for the unique nature of the 2024 election, the VP pick technically becomes the 2028 MAGA candidate by default and general intention. Therefore, the selection of Trump’s running mate holds a greater weight of importance given the single term objective.
The primary factor of President Trump’s pick for VP should be, who will be the 2028 nominee.
Prior to President Trump’s first term in office, traditionally the role of the Vice-President, the actual tasks they are assigned to carry out, were generally ceremonial in nature. However, President Trump approached the VP role differently, and gave substantive policy initiatives to Vice President Mike Pence. [Pence proved he was not a good executive]
It should also be remembered that another unique aspect to President Trump’s term was his control over every of aspect of economic policy and trade. This level of economic focus, with controls completely retained by President Trump, was then used as a mechanism to influence President Trump’s foreign policy.
As stated by several Trump economic officials when describing the Trump doctrine, “economic security is national security.” The America-First outlook was a domestic economic focus, used as a lever to influence foreign policy activity.
As a consequence, the President Trump economic team was extremely stable throughout his term. USTR Robert Lighthizer, Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, CEA Chairman Larry Kudlow and Trade/Manufacturing Advisor Peter Navarro all worked in close coordination on their specific assignments that were instructions from President Trump.
The globe was broken into two general regions, west (Pacific) and east (Atlantic). Lighthizer was assigned eyes and trade policy toward Asia, while Ross assigned trade policy toward Europe. The total team were in close communication at all times and Donald Trump made every important decision for the econ/trade team. The team carried out Trump’s agenda; it was a very effective approach.
The reason I mention this economic and foreign policy aspect is because there’s little doubt this would again be the focus of President Trump in a second term. Trump is likely going to be the driving force of economic policy and foreign policy, in granular detail again. The VP needs to learn how Trump does it so effectively, so that MAGA continues into 2028.
Meanwhile, all of the other agencies need serious wolverines at the helm, fearlessly chewing down the mechanisms of, (a) the intelligence apparatus; and (b) the controlled bureaucratic and administrative state.
No executive can micromanage the details of this scale, the office of the president can only support their efforts and provide tools and resources for the dismantling.
Knowing this, and fully understanding the skills, strengths and weaknesses of each potential VP selection, I look at the Big Picture through the prism of who do I want at the helm, that has enough loyalty to ensure the deconstruction takes place and/or continues and holds the integrity/fortitude to provide me some measure of assurance. I guess this is the proverbial trust factor, only this time it’s even more important.
Right now, only one person hits that level of integrity for me, Dr. Ben Carson.
I trust Dr Ben Carson to understand the MAGA vision; to understand how the MAGA vision becomes manifest through policy; and, more importantly, to stay true to the MAGA vision if called upon to execute.
Perhaps there is someone else with the loyalty trait, the principal trait, the integrity trait, and the practical trait to continue after 4 years; however, if there is such a person, they don’t jump readily to mind.
The other cabinet members would all have big jobs, and none of them can come from the traditional system within DC. They need to be wolverines baring teeth and ready to start the “retribution phase” on day one.
Secretary of State: Ric Grenell
Defense Secretary: Vivek Ramaswamy
Treasury Secretary: Ron Paul
USTR: Robert Lighthizer or Peter Navarro
Commerce Secretary: Peter Navarro or Robert Lighthizer
EPA Administrator: Sarah Palin
FCC Commissioner: Mike Benz
CIA Director: Robert Kennedy Jr
FBI Director: Matt Gaetz
DOJ Attorney General: Ken Paxton
Office of the Director of National Intelligence: Rand Paul
NSA Director: Thomas Massie
Interior Secretary: Marjorie Taylor Greene
Something like that….
Hell no to MTG. She’s 100% grifter. Might as well bring back PapaD if she’s involved.
Agreed. Total grifter shill actress.
Interior Secretary… lolol
You think she can give Jill a run for her money decorating the White House at Christmas?
First Lady Melania Trump will beat them all, Every.Single.Christmas. and Every.Day.In.Between.
Learn it.
Love it.
Live it.
No one legitimately beats First Lady Melania Trump.
Big Thumbs Up on that.
Right Abigail!!!
Exactemundo.
Amen to that, First Lady Melania has more class in her pinkie than Dr. Jill ever thought about having.
How about Gen. Mike Flynn for DHS Sec’y? Gotta get rid of Mayorkas with prejudice.
Absolutely
I’m sorry Vic is a out in left field choice
SecState. From that position he could maybe get a little revenge on a few people.
That could work too. DHS Secy affects election integrity, border policy, and can strike down many Ozero/Biden policies that were weaponized against American citizens.
Flynn would be better at DHS.
That job comes with a badge and the agents to back it up. You want to bring the hammer down on a corrupt DOJ? DHS would be the agency.
I LOVE Sundance’s recommendations—each and every one-especially Ron Paul.
Maybe Sundance is thinking “Homeland Security” should be eliminated posthaste! Exactly how it was created!
Oh, and three cheers for Ron Paul at Treasury!
I’m not disagreeing with the concept.
But IMHO the way to dismantle that organization and reassign the legitimate responsibilities that it covers, requires new leadership who can bring in a small team focused on discovering, exposing, and stopping the illegitimate activities while collecting evidence to prosecute those within the organization who ordered, managed, or simply participated in the anti constitutional activities. That approach requires the department to be continued for awhile until the evidence is fully established.
Kari Lake??
She’s running for Senate so that would be a mistake to choose her and risk that Senate seat going to the Dems again.
Press Secretary?
Tucker for press secretary.
Tucker is too wrapped up in “Tucker stuff” to ever work for someone else. It has to be all about Tucker before Tucker is interested.
Karoline Leavitt.
I like her for Press Secretary – talks a mile a minute, sharp on her feet, good head on her shoulders – tough to put anything past her.
That would be a step down.
Press Secretary
👉 Sundance,
Will you (continue to) be available for President Trump’s, “Kitchen Cabinet” as unofficial advisor/friend or will you be available for an “official” position if President Trump makes the invitation for Constitutional Republic MAGA service ?👈
✅️Agree that Dr. Ben Carson is a potentially great VP choice in our Nation’s current state of affairs for carrying on(with intelligence and integrity) MAGA as defined by President Donald J Trump 👍👌.
I LOVE these choices.
It is not just the people you chose, but the positions you chose for them.
EVERY SINGLE choice you made will scare the crap out of the deep state and the swamp creatures.
Well done.
ps: if memory serves, there was a law passed in the 70’s or 80’s, whose name i forget, WHICH WAS THE MECHANISM FOR SECURING ETERNAL CONTROL OF THE DEEPS STATE. That law MANDATED THAT MANY THOUSANDS OF SPECIFIC “CRITICAL” GOVERNMENT POSITIONS “CANNOT BE REPLACED BY NEW ADMINISTRATIONS.” The result left all of those positions occupied by swamp creatures, and under the control of the deep state. Please Sundance, would you remind Donald Trump that the first thing he needs to do in office is to have that law cancelled, and all of those CRITICAL positions EMPTIED, so as to stab the deep state in the heart.
I would be happy to take that role. Interior has massive implications for most of the West and our natural resource plans. This entire agency needs to be be gutted and trimmed down with approval processes refined and sped up.
With all due respect she shouldn’t be in DC period.
Secretary of the Interior signs off on all resource use permitting and water permits. It’s a position with a lot of power that flies under the radar.
There are reasons that President Clinton selected hard-core environmentalist Bruce Babbitt for that position.
She is 100% TRUMP!
I guess a lot of people haven’t listened to the Tucker interview of Marjorie Taylor Greene. Like her or not, she is a wolverine!
If she is not 100% PERFECT, many here will wash their hands of her.
How can someone who is 100% Trump have voted with McCarthy on the terrible debt limit increase, on not to expel the lying, rino, backstabbing, ‘young gun’ traitor trying to destroy this country from his speakership, and getting kicked out of the freedom caucus for repeatedly siding with McCarthy? Asking for a friend…
MTG is a fighter. I think McCarthy deceived her. Sometimes it is not clear the outcome of taking a particular stance/vote because sometimes the vote pushes down one side of bad juju and another worse side of bad juju pops out. Some calls are not black and white but shades of grey. McCarthy deceived a lot of people, but, he is out now.
I think it would be a hoot if PDJT made her WH Press Secretary.
She explains that on the Tucker interview—Smart Cookie!
Dream team.
Dream? Some, others are nightmares!
RFK jr.? Hell No.
Sarah Palin? She has become a self-centered attention whore. Absolutely NO. Her entrance into the race for Youngs former seat resulted in the loss to D’s. She lost my support when she endorsed Walker for Governor over her former Lt. Gov, Sean Parnell solely because he changed her Oil taxation plan. Sure she supported DJT for President in 2016, but she isn’t the same person she was 20 years ago. She is untrustworthy and an idiot who can only chant “Drill Baby, Drill”.
Where is General Mike Flynn? He is a person I definitely want involved, especially in overseeing the intelligence community.
Along with Gen. Flynn, I like his lawyer, Sydney Powell. She has been a staunch advocate and supporter of MAGA and is extremely smart.
There are quite a few other people than those suggested that I would support, but I don’t think the focus should be 2028. The focus should remain on their integrity and adherence to MAGA, coupled with capability to perform the job tasked.
Also, need to absolutely ensure that those picked DO NOT result in a vacancy in the House/Senate/Governor without a strong MAGA candidate to replace them.
Whoa. This is akin to being served a 64 oz Texas ribeye cooked rare (to perfection). Gonna take me awhile to digest the ramifications of each of these folks in the position suggested. Thanks Sundance for serving up some very red meat!
This will be interesting….!
No. You left yourself of the list.
White House Communication Director.
Sundance to fill a new Cabinet position – Silo Master!
Excellent!
Silo DESTROYER….Sunlight provider.
Perfect
I like VP Carson idea. But, what about Kari Lake fitting in somewhere on your list? She’s MAGA.
If she’s not a senator my guess is press secretary.
Great choice for press secretary.
Lake has no graivtas.
Christy has plenty of gravitass, if such is more to your liking.
“gravitass”
🤣🤣🤣🤣
And Dick Cheney did?
If you can’t see that she as the IT factor, that’s your fault. As Roy Orbison says, She’s got it!
In what world?!! She is a wolverine. I’ve never seen anyone completely and gracefully annihilate the media as she does. It’s a pleasure to see that she wants to be working for Arizonans.
Kari can’t be beat on the media stage, but she does not have the management background in leading a team yet. Teams at the national level are sets of managers with varied backgrounds/technical areas, etc. Not a trivial or typical management task.
This suggestion feels like a bonus Christmas present. I voted for Ben Carson in the 2020 primaries, and I would love to see him as VP, and later POTUS.
Did you mean 2016 primaries?
I voted for him then also
I’ll never forget one of the debates leading to the 2020 election. The host forgot (intentionally?) to introduce Ben Carson so he was patiently waiting in the wings to hear his name called. One by one the other candidates smirked and walked by him onto the stage, including Jeb! Christie(?) and others, Donald Trump stopped and waited with Dr Carson until the host figured it out and called both their names at the end.
That’s the man Donald Trump is, he sees an injustice and works to rectify it. He will never stop fighting for us ❤️
And neither will Dr. (Brain Surgeon) Ben Carson!
Let’s examine his qualifications, shall we?
Read the book not the movie. Have your family read it. Remarkable.
PBS, the Charlie Rose Show archives, search Dr. Ben Carson. Head of Johns Hopkins’ Children’s Neurological Dept. doing brain surgery on children before he was 30. His Sister raised him, she made him go to school, he hated school.
Listen to his quiet laughter when Rose says “tell us something about the brain.”
Carson bends over the table…grinning and excited, “Oh the brain, the brain…” he laughs. “Did you know, everything you ever heard or saw, tasted, smelled or felt is in there, pointing to his head now looking up at Rose. Permanently.”
His own mother raised him. Dr. Carson has only one brother, who was a NASA rocket scientist.
I remember that moment distinctly. Both men have character. It’s not a trait that’s easily acquired and certainly seldom seen in politics. You generally have to be born with it. IMHO both men were.
That’s it!
Divine Providence!!
Both Men!
Character is trained from birth, we are born fallen, we learn from our parents and from life, or as scripture states fire sharpens steel.
That was a great Trump moment done with no pretense on PTrump’s part. He was genuinely concerned for Carson and showed it quietly behind the scene. That being said, Carson did a good job in his cabinet position and would be a wonderful choice as VP. He’s just a good man and very effective at whatever tasks he is given. MAGA and God loving man. Just what we need.
President Trump’s “after you,” gesture was strikingly natural….almost as good as his dance moves. 😉
His dance moves are not 100%, better than most, not totally awkward, but not a natural light foot either.
Sporry! I didn’t mean to confuse anyone. I had thought the emoticon would signal that the dance moves part was intended as tongue in cheek.
Right on the money.
“That’s the man Donald Trump is, he sees an injustice and works to rectify it.” Yes.
has a video of it. You can see it, starting at 0:33.
(The video at
isn’t as good, but Carson’s explanation of not hearing his name being called is just below that second video.)
The moderator called Chris Christie’s name, and Christie went out from backstage. The audience cheered him loudly.
As the audience was loudly cheering Christie, the moderator called Dr. Carson’s name. Carson couldn’t hear his name being called, because the audience cheering for Christie blocked the sound of Carson being called.
At 1:18, Mr. Trump went to Dr. Carson. At 1:25, he patted Carson’s arm encouragingly. I don’t know what Mr. Trump said to Carson, but he seemed to be supporting Carson emotionally.
That really speaks well to Mr. Trump’s character. Technically Mr. Trump and Dr. Carson were competitors in the debate. But he treated Dr. Carson very well just before the debate.
The first video’s URL is the standard youtube dot com URL, then a slash, then watch?v=IQ7Ryo8Alzw
The second video’s URL is the standard youtube dot com URL, then a slash, then watch?v=8RDGwCUqUMo
I’m wondering if Trump already had it in his mind that once he had the nomination locked up he would approach Carson, offering the VP position. The GOPe, stunned be Trump securing the nomination, now having to do last minute damage control for their hidden agenda, then strong-armed Trump into taking Pence.
I’ve been thinking Ben Carson would be THE best pick for VP for a very long time. Such a good and honorable and totally brilliant man. No wonder they got along so well. God bless them both!
I think he should pardon the J6ers and rotate them in as Acting AG at DOJ and Acting FBI Director, let them clean house
They could be “Special Assignment Auditors” to look into some of those nagging political problems in the bureaucracy.
Good idea.
DC Prison Board
HAHAHAHA
Excellent choices. All.
Maybe Kari Lake instead of MTG. Still not sure how real she is. I’ve witnessed her playing to the crowd which makes me wonder about her (Kari’s) integrity.
Still convinced Marg is a man in drag. 😆
And Ted Cruz appointed to the Supreme Court when Roberts is removed for whatever dirt the Spooks must have on him based on his lousy performance.
Dr. Carson just spoke at AmFest a few weeks ago. What a great guy. What a Christian. What a Patriot. Glad he’s still interested in politics and hasn’t disappeared. And in 2028 he could demonstrate that a Black President could be great and not a disaster like Obozo. Sure hope Trump reads your advice, Sundance.
Carson as President? the CIA would probably assassinate him.
Ben Carson would be a brilliant pick; he checks all the boxes, the most important being loyalty. Dr. Carson and President Trump are genuine friends. Which means President Trump could put all his energy and focus into doing his job and not worry about being stabbed in the back. Carson’s personality is also a nice counterbalance to Trump’s; he has quiet power, soft-spoken but no pushover. Relatable, smart, articulate and can hold his own in a debate. His presence on the ticket would appeal to Evangelical as well as minority voters who will see him as a leader and as an example. Nothing wrong with that. I don’t see Carson having Presidential ambitions of his own for 2028, however. That’s another good thing. It separates him from the younger potential candidates whose Presidential ambitions could compromise their loyalty.
Have to think Carson is on Trump’s VP short list just as he was in 2016. At a recent Iowa rally, Trump insisted on having his picture taken with Carson. He also referred to Carson several times during his speech. Just think how different our world would be today if Trump had chosen Carson instead of Pence.
I’d be very surprised if Trump selected a woman, no matter how MAGA, as his running mate. But you never know.
Most importantly is Ben Carson is not blackmail- able. He is truly devout and is not going to be caught in some compromising position . He is working to get into God’s House always.
So, very, very important these days. If we saw a damaging video, everyone would know it was an AI fake.
Working to get into God’s House is a full time job.
And normally we mortals are not very good at it.
Disagree on Cruz for Supreme Court. He’s not reliably MAGA..
JD for VP
I like JDV for VP too. I greatly admire Dr. Carson but am concerned he’s too old to carry on in2028. He could head NIH or Be Surgeon General somewhere to clean up that mess.
I’m sorry, it’s late. Who is JD?
J.D. Vance?
We need every GOP-MAGA Senator we can get so JDV, or Kari Lake if she wins her election, are more effective in the Senate, hopefully anyway.. Carson would not have that problem and would be a good partner to PTrump.
Absolutely!!!!
Yes on Matt Gaetz for FBI, but I’d love to put Clay Higgins in there, too😹
I’m with you there. There’s no logical reason to have a lawyer running LEO… it should be someone with LE qualifications. Higgins would’ve awesome!
Scott Walker – good to have a former governor with a good track record and well-connected to messaging young conservatives.
Do not know what the history is between Trump and Walker -but if there is mutual admiration and cooperation, it would be a good team.
Two white men – of course now always comes under attack today. Then I suggest Carol Swain.
Scott Walker is Paul Ryan light.
No to Walker.
He’s a RINO. Part of the failed RNC trilogy of Preibus, Ryan, Walker. They all told Trump he had to drop out after the Billy Bush ambush. Wouldn’t be at all surprised if they orchestrated it.
Especially if their buddies with Paul Ryan. Come on man.
Walker took on the unions in Ohio and won. That is job one on day one if we are to solve anything in the DC swamp.
That’s hard to do from Wisconsin.
LOL!
(Remember when the German’s attacked Pearl Harbor?)
He’s on a roll!
“Germans?”
“Forget it, he’s rolling.”
H311 to the NO on anything Scott Walker. That is swamp infestation right there.
Intriguing,,to say the least
Can you say Christmas Dream List.
Agree 100% with Dr Carson. And for the cabinet – there are many unexpected names, but I can definitely get behind this list. The best part will be the total ballistic reaction from EVERYBODY who is not MAGA.
Excellent choices. I met Dr. Carson on ‘the campaign trail’ in 2016. I listened to him speak, and I knew I would like and respect the man.
I personally would like to see Lt. General Michael Flynn back as National Security Advisor. As the Brits say, revenge is a dish best served cold.
How about him being given a special license to kill and let him clean out the DC trash? Watch your backs Mr. Comey, Peter Stroke-it, etc.
Hi John,
When did you join the FBI?
If I told you, I’d have to… we’ll, you know.
That’s MI-6 and not the FBI !
There ya go.
Agree.
I thought that was a Klingon proverb first espoused in 1982’s “The Wrath of Khan”?
Agree, Ben Carson. Having a seasoned relationships with Trump is a real plus.
No surprises – no backstabbing.
I’m surprised Gen. Flynn didn’t make the list.
Chief of Staff – needs to stay close to Trump and control those around him. Flynn now knows who will do him harm.
Pence and Barr did more harm than Mueller.
Good stuff. I personally like those who haven’t been infected from the DC virus from residing in the swamp for too long. And by that I’d throw Kari Lake’s hat in the ring as well.
Need Kari lake here in AZ!!
We’re counting an awful lot of chickens before they’re hatched here…
Just sitting on the eggs to keep them warm. 🐣
Not if Trump needs to hit the ground running on Day One – his time is limited to finish what he started before Nancy Pelosi rigged the midterms against him, lying to voters by stealth Trump would cut their social security and Medicare.
The witch is still around. Her venom against Trump will be even more lethal when Trump wins his second term.
FBI probe into her crooked dealings would derail her pronto. It is long overdue.
She’ll be speaking from her crypt. She can’t come out in the daylight, she’s had too much botoxin.
I, for one, need something to look forward to so enjoy playing this game.
Can’t have future chicks to count on without planning a nest and anticipating the clutch to come.
What?
You seriously believe that President Trump and A-Team have NOT considered these various names for these various positions?
Com’on Man!
;-))
Preparation! President Trump will win Again!
Really? Are you saying President Trump will not be our nominee?
Happy Happy Happy Dance—–That is/was my first choice. Carson is truly a bright caring Christian man.
As I look at field of who is out there, Carson is one of the few that I truly trust.
However, if Trump feels he must choose a woman I think Sarah Huckabee is another woman I would trust, but not sure she is experienced enough(Just my two cents.)
MTG is not a grifter and Sundance nailed it. RFK, Jr. is risky. I completely get why he was chosen but…he cannot be fully trusted and is thus a wildcard. He had years to reveal the surveillance state…not a peep until recently and that was tepid. Other picks are spot on.
On another note,,, what of Allen West, and Michael Flynn,??
Allen West yes. Flynn is a wildcard.
Allen West needs a critical slot in this line up. Solid ‘Merica first.
West is not MAGA.
He also is no constitutionalist.
It seems like Cory Mills is showing up as a true MAGA with action. But keeping (if possible) the house majority might be important, too. If they’d actually Take Action.
Ramaswamy – Director of OMB
AGREED that VIVEK Has IDENTIFIED SEVERAL Problems.
Put Him in a ” HEAD CHOPPING “, ” YOU”RE FIRED ” Position –
BUT NOT in a BUDGET or MAJOR POLICY Office. RELY on Navarro and Lighthizer
Have Him SHOW HIS LOYALTY
I operate in tech and know many a Ramalamadingdongs. They will hurt you in the end.
OMB is the most powerful organization in the government. They write the rules that every federal agency must follow.
Talk about throwing sand into the machinery. OMB can do it.
The fact that no one talks about OMB shows me how little they understand how the federal government works.
The problem with Ben Carson is that he is such a nice Christian man that deep state bureaucrats would not fear him. They didn’t even much fear a first term Trump as evidenced by all they did to him. He gave orders to the Pentagon and they just pretty much did whatever they wanted.
But the DS also would have nothing to hold over him as blackmail.
I too worry that Carson’s blood/brain barrier would limit him.
He is not bloody minded enough for the task at hand.
Bingo.
Men are driven by two principal impulses, either by love or by fear. It is much safer to be feared than loved because love is preserved by the link of obligation which, owing to the baseness of men, is broken at every opportunity for their advantage; but fear preserves you by a dread of punishment which never fails. – Niccolo Machiavelli
So when a husband defends his wife or father defends his children, is that love or fear? I would argue love. And the same holds true for self defense: one loves oneself more than a thug trying to harm you.
People have an incomplete idea of love. Carson is a gentle man but I think he truly loves his Country and we haven’t seen what he’s truly capable of because he hasn’t had to show that side of his personality yet.
He was trained to save lives and help people, so maybe it isn’t in his nature but that’s not a given. Would be interesting to ask him point blank at future public appearances about his resolve and aggressiveness in fighting the swamp.
VERY WISE !!!
Exactemundo.
Carson is a man of true faith. Your God may be too small. His God is not.
I think you are mistaking calm and unruffled for weak.
It takes a special kind of ruthlessness to cut open a brain and work your will on it. And Ben Carson was brave enough to separate twins conjoined at the back of the head, the first to successfully do so.
The man has nerves of steel, believe it.
Exactly Aubergine. Ben Carson is a miracle.
He believed that a hemispherectomy—removal of half of the brain—was the best way to help a girl with severe epilepsy who was suffering constant seizures. A senior physician, a well-known neurologist, disagreed. Carson performed the surgery anyway.
Thank you so much for posting this video. It shows a depth to Carson’s skill and his character. He truly was great with the children.
HUD Did NOT Listen to Dr. Carson either.
WE HAVE TO Get RID of the SES – Clean departments / Review GS-14 s AND ABOVE !!!
https://www.generalschedule.org/GS-14
Carson is a nice Christian man for sure, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have a core of steel when needed. Never underestimate quiet men.
Carson was raised in a pretty bad neighborhood and had a tough life as a kid; sooo…he has shown that he does have grit to climb up outta the streets and achieve brain surgeon status.
That’s not a bad achievement in life.
Excellent choice. Stable MAGA and not establishment. Carson would assure the black vote.
President Trump does not need someone more ROBUST than himself.
Dr. Carson is a great team player!!
I hope that’s President Trump’s choice!!
Sundance, thank you for everything. I read your list and I noticed the absence of “Go along to getalongs”. There has to be fearless leadership who are capable of standing up to the MSM, political cronies and the educrats. The bureaucracy must be taken down to bare bones. It is plain to see that every project has to be as expensive and wasteful as possible.
For those of you of little faith, observe what has transformed in Russia after the demise of the USSR. We need a similar Christian revival in the USA and tear down the left in government, media and education for starters. As a nation we’ve become lazy in our physical and mental activities and let the left tell us, our children and grandchildren WHAT to think instead of HOW to think.
Suggest all to You Tube the Russian Military Cathedral and the leader of the Russian Orthodox Church for further insight,
Merry Christmas
Dr. Ben Carson is not too mild?? I feel we need ferocity. In all other aspects I’m for him, if he’s got a hidden LION I’m all in 🇺🇸
The president’s demeanor is irrelevant for the things you want done…. The President doesn’t do them.
You are so right. I worked for a fed agency for years.
Agency heads need executive experience. Agency’s are like large corporations. Trump’s successes as POTUS drew from his amazing skill at managing large, complicated, dynamic/fast moving organizations.
I appreciate much of your list but would rather Trump lean hard into his talented associates with tough business experience. You rightly called out his economic team.
Extremely few legislators qualify in my estimation. Governors or business leaders.
I disagree about Vivek. His wanting to join the TPP is a hard stop for me. Young and hard charging but giving him a role in this administration will make it easier for him to advance to POTUS.
Also, the work of most agencies can legally be delegated to states. Most statutes already have that delegation authority built in. Generally statutes have two components. Component one is the fed HQ policy and regulation development. Nothing is stopping some/all of the HQ functions from being given to states. This has been done but only rarely because this would eliminate cushy HQ jobs. Component two is typically already delegated to states — fed HQ gives the States grants to execute the enforcement programs. Fed HQ typically only helps the states when they have difficult enforcement cases especially if they cross state lines. I know this from experience.
Reading the Heritage paper on how to downsize agencies, they are nibbling at the edges and re-arranging deck chairs. Delegate the programs to the states. States may have to beef up portions of their Code to handle the HQ program portion, which will take a year or 2. Fed gives them grant money for a couple of years transition period and then cut them loose. Then, after several years, repeal the fed statute (which is unconstitutional anyways as are all claiming “commercial clause”). States can continue if they wish.
Sorry to go on about this but it can be done.
Merry Christmas, Sundance! Thanks so much for all your hard work!
He does. He has the Lion from the tribe of Judah!
Carson definitely has a hidden LION inside–His name is Jesus!
I don’t think Carson can win the election in 5 years. I would go for Gaetz as VP.
Carson has a lion in him, he can win, only a bullet could stop him. I am not being rhetorical.
Who do you Trust as President if a bullet takes Trump that could ride Trump’s martyrdom against the deep state and not FOR it?
And who do you put in that a 2nd assassination of would blow up the deep state?
I f Hinkley had killed Reagan, Bush would have moved the deep state agenda forward on the reaction as Johnson did when Kennedy died.
Carson [I pray] would not do that. An empowered Carson would move MAGA forward And a second assassination–of a Black MAGA President–would risk black emrealignment against the left.
These possibilities might help deter assassination of President Trump.
We pray, for his safety, but we should also do whatever else we can do to improve the odds for him.
Why is he being considered the only MAGA who could carry on in 2028? There are many more MAGA coming along and more will be evident in 2028. Just because he’s VP doesn’t mean he has to run for Pres. Besides, you are assuming he could not do it or would not be popular enough. He should not be underestimated. He stood up at a breakfast in the 2016 campaign cycle where there were many anti American leftist guests and told them straight out what he thought of the state of America and them. He did it without fear and with class, honesty and truth. Do not think he has no strength and courage to do whatever it takes. He just wraps it in a quieter package.
Exactly! Thank you, Cjzak!
And in addition to all the above, he’s a good balance to Trump. We need both!!
Do not trust Massie and RFKJr.
Didn’t think of that, but yes, President Trump and VP Carson could be a good cop/ bad cop dream team.
Trump: “Drain the swamp! Build the wall! Drill, baby, drill!”
Carson: “Can we have three scoops of chocolate with that?”
Trump: “Absolutely, Ben! THREE SCOOPS of chocolate, coming right up!”
After having done what you’ve described at the breakfast, Obama weaponized the IRS with reckless abandon and had Carson’s taxes audited. They found nothing that broke any laws.
Donald Trump’s life is under siege. The people who are under consideration now for positions in his cabinet will be put under a microscope. Each will be vulnerable for the many assaults that are in the grab-bag waiting to be implemented.
We must implore the Almighty, the Most High to bring His peace and justice to this Great Nation.
I’d say you’re 25% right on who he will chose and 50% right on who he should chose. Considering all the positions and the politics involved, you did good.
I cannot run with this whole list, especially Gaetz/Greene.
No disagreement on Mr. Carson as VP. Integrity is there.
Racial divisions are running wild at this point in time, that is a very big obstacle.
Sundance, Your picks are definitely “RIGHT ON” Please, please get this list somehow to President Trump…To Trump Jr, and anyone else that may have influence.
I first thought of Don Jr. as you were describing the understudy nature of the coming VP.
Am I way off?
I think that I want more MAGA firebrand than Dr Carson displays.
Dr. Ca
Sorry…Dr. Carson exudes peace. A perfect balance and backup for our President.
Absolutely.
Junior will bring loyalty to the VP position! Junior 2028!!
John Ratcliff ???
He is good, he tried to fight the machine but failed. Worth another look. He knows things others do not.
1000 X no. He represented my district. He is another just conservative enough GOPe. Did you not notice how declassification came to a screeching halt when he got DNI? Remember that McConnell recommended him
Wow! I like it!!!
That wouldn’t work. And I love Ben Carson. But this isn’t 2016. Our economic well-being is second now to the invasion. And Ben is a nice guy. And it’s going to take somebody a lot harder to remove the invaders. And if we don’t remove the invaders we don’t have a country. And I wouldn’t pull a single sitting Congressman or Senator. I wouldn’t want the numbers down, especially the fighters.
From your lips to God’s ear.
Where does Elise Stefanik fit in?
Was she not the one who Brought light to Comey?
Was she not the one who took out that College dean?
Some insight on her would be most welcome
Also…Sarah Huckabee Sanders???
Oh and Merry Christmas all – Hope you had a rewarding day with friends and family
In my opinion, Elise needs to explain or denounce her listing as a member of the World Economic Forum, as presented on their website. I have the link to it somewhere, but can’t find it and they’ve “cleaned up” a lot so it may not be still visible. Until then, I consider her another deep-state sleeper – as hard as that may be to accept for many.
This is my own pet peeve, who on the list saves the life of Julian Assange? Corrects a pernicious lie?
With you on this. I am fervently hoping that Trump will address/correct this, and the J6 travesties, on Day One
Defense Secretary: Vivek Ramaswamy
Oh heck no
Half the multi-star Generals would probably resign their commissions.
It would be a good start.
With respect, didn’t you once label Vivek the ‘Marianne Williamson of the Republican Party’ or some such thing?
Having met the guy in NH, I didn’t quite get that comment at the time, but was open to learning more about him (and still have questions)….
But you now making him SecDef (really?) is one helluva shift…. What changed?
According to American Intelligence, who did a deep dive Vivek is not a natural born citizen. I like him, but he should not be “near” the presidency—constitutionally, that is.
Donalds or Stefanik
Maybe Hawley or Cotton
Do not pull from the Senate. We need them there .
Not sure which positions you’re talking about. If it’s VP, Donalds is from Florida, so I don’t think it’s something that can be done with Pres and VP from same state. Other positions, not sure how GOPe the rest are. (Especially Cotton and Stefanik).
Wasn’t Cotton at Sea Island?
Welcome aboard steph_gray.
Definitely NO Jekyll Island Cotton!!!
Devan Nunes?
Nunes is a name ABOVE many others – if he wants it.
Looking at the overall landscape, no Generals for anything, even lessor positions, except maybe Flynn.
Merry Christmas ya”all
Thank you, and Merry Christmas!
CIA Director: Robert Kennedy Jr
That’s fun, but could his nomination be blocked by the SSCI?
RFJ, Jr is a flake. I wouldn’t put him anywhere near the center of government.
RFK Jr would make a good surgeon general, but that’s about it. With the exception of his hardline stance against children’s vaccines, his politics are limousine liberal left.
I believe RFK Jr is a lawyer.
VP pick – ok with it.
Defense, CIA and FBI – hell no to all of them. That’s just me though.
HAVE TO HAVE an ” OLD SCHOOL ” , UN-WOKE, ” BURMA SHAVE ” Sec of Defense
” Power by The Hour ” Contracts; IF IT BREAKS, YOU The CONTRACTOR FIXES IT; and LISTENS to
” The Troops in the Field ” for THEIR REQUIREMENTS instead of ” FLASH GORDON Engineers ” and the Car Salesmen
ELIMINATE the Alphabets – PERIOD The U.S. has DoD Intelligence and works with NSA.
STATE and COUNTY Authorities CAN cover the Responsibilities
I knew whose name was gonna pop up here. PDJT can trust Ben Carson as much as anybody he knows.
I like seeing RFK Jr and Rand Paul’s name in there too, for Intel chiefs.
But who for White House Chief of Staff?
Kari Lake – former Reporter.
Gen. FLYNN
Devin Nunes might be good as Chief of Staff. He knows who the backstabbers are and can navigate the procedures.
I think Nunes is no longer interested in the political theater.
Steve Bannon
I love Ben but I’m afraid he’s too honest and too nice.
Sadly, not many people truly understand this, but Christians *can* get away with honesty and civility. In fact, these traits are *expected* of one who practices the Christian faith.
God can certainly handle the rest, don’t you worry. That’s Christianity 101.
Agreed. However, he allowed his wife Candy to purchase a $40,000 desk after he was appointed HUD chief. One wonders why she was in on this decision in the first place.
May I ask you a question — are you married? Asking for another husband. 😉
CIA – Kash Patel
VP – Ernest Marslis
Edit: Ernest Marsalis
Who? I can’t even find him online.
