As most of you know I am a west coast refugee in South Dakota.
Over the 2 years I’ve been in SD i have met around a dozen or more Colorado refugees.
Seems many Colorado residents are leaving Colorado due to what has been happening politically over the last couple of years or more. They are fleeing to some of the same supposed Red states that others have been fleeing the west coast!
Many of the Colorado residents blame it on the marijuana laws passed several years ago and others blame it on apparent fraud in voting. .
Sadly it seems that the Globalism are managing to slowly take over states that were once very Red, making them Purple, or worse case Purplish-Blue. Arizona, Nevada and Idaho are two other states that seem to turning too.

Looks like there is a tiny bit of progress being made here in the Black Hills are . As you notice I said tiny bit. Got a few counties to do hand counting for all following elections. My favourites are Beaver Creek and Snowmass in Co. In Utah it’s Deer Valley. In California we ski Mammoth Mountain the most because of it’s location and also like Alpine Meadows. Someday, I’d love to ski in Western Canada but it seems very intimidating to me.

Thru the use of ‘gerrymandering’ i.e. drawing boundaries for Congressional and voting districts (which looks VERY different when you take off your rose colored “R vs D” glasses, and SEE that the Uniparty is using the process of Apportionment!) and thru State R party leadership placing key people on election boards, thru the whole corrupt, controlled financing system for elections, the Uniparty, one two faced Political party can paint States whatever color suits theur interests, and flip ostensible majority control of the House and Senate, to suit the optics they desire.
ALL States are essentually the same, with minor differences based on size and region.
RED rural areas, with large metro areas (where they can hide 30-50,000+ phantom voters, and have political machine control, painted “blue”.
Hence, running away from a State thats “turned blue” to one still percieved to be “Red” is a fools errand.

Nevada used to be a lovely state, home of the Sagebrush Rebellion, now it’s California-light. Las Vegas importing Oakland with each new sports team, bringing their fans with them to the point where gangs are killing other students. Just the other day, one of those kids that beat that boy up in Las Vegas has had death threats sent to the judge on his case. That’s an Oakland thing that would never have happened in Nevada until the great migration began.

Ski areas here have priced themselves above the middle class. The only people that go to them are the elites and the ski bums, who do nothing else. The result is a huge explosion in the backcountry ski industry, which the proletariat can afford.

My daughter went to Big Sky several times when a student working part time with a group of friends and had a great experience.
The only people that seem to get to ski cheaply are the kids in the ski area where the school areas have school programs.
Most of the school programs charge very little if any for weekly skiing during the snow season. But now many of those ski areas that were known for their generosity to the schools have stopped or their programs have very little discounts.

People that focus exclusively on SUBSTANCES (alcohol, tobacco, drugs) when discussing addiction frankly can be dismissed out of hand, as displaying their profound ignorance of the true nature of addiction.
The addiction is to chemicals released by the brain, endorphins and encephalins like Dopamine, seratonin, adrenaline, etc.
People with chronic low self-esteem have chronic low levels of these chemicals, and so develop a CRAVING for some route, ANY route to artificially raise their levels, even if only short term.
Excercise, being a work-a-holic, pornography or sex, video games, eating, and yes posting and “liking” comments on blogs like this, all SORTS of behaviors that do not involve ingesting substances, CAN be addictive, truly addictive in that they enable the addict to give themselves a BOOST of a cocktail of these naturally occurring substances released BY the brain, or upon a signal by the brain to other organs of the endochrine system.
The idea of a “Co-dependant” relationship is not a fallacy.

I would join that group! My mother died in May 2020 in a Memory care facility – by the grace of God, I had been working for a couple of moths to get her status changed to “Hospice” (mainly to get a couple of the caregivers to STOP trying to force feed her after I had specifically asked them not to!) and she was approved the beginning of March. Her facility was closed to ALL visitors in mid March but because she was on Hospice, there were different rules and I was allowed to see her in person, once a week, for 30 minutes, starting at the beginning of May. In only six weeks, she, and ALL of the other residents had deteriorated significantly, but at least I was allowed to see her in person. When Hospice determined that she was in her final days (“transitioning”) I was allowed to go every day and sit in her room with her, and was with her when she passed, for which I was VERY thankful! BUT, I am still angry over the fact that no one else, not even my brother, was allowed to come in and see her before she died and while George Floyd got FIVE funerals, my mother never even got ONE!

It never existed in the way most people assume. “Right to try” is not “first choice”. You have to attempt all the approved, insurance-covered methods and meds first. IF all those fail, THEN you qualify for “right to try”, not before. Also, doctors can’t be forced to give you non-covered meds. If yours declines, you have to shop around on your own.
The main choice patients have is “right to refuse”, which applies to any form of treatment. However, if you consistently refuse recommendations and guidance from a provider, then THEY have the right to cut you loose as a patient. Other patients want access to care, and there’s only so much time in a day.
The problem in Matthew Perry’s case was incorrect, inappropriate use of the drug, much like Michael Jackson’s use of propofol. You never want to risk using anaesthetics and then get in a pool or bathtub.

I’m not very familiar on that, never having worked at a VA, but I’ll hazard a guess.
Sure, vets can go elsewhere for treatment. That was always true. However, if you go outside the VA system, it costs more. Patients do this when VA hospitals/clinics are too full, and it will take too long to get an appointment.
Trump established the right to get care outside of the VA if it’s not available inside, due to capacity or lacking a specialty or it’s beyond their skill levels, but it is hard to get outside care, very hard, and very slow.

John Fund reports on PA voter fraud concerning non citizens being able to register to vote in PA. The Philadelphia Election Office did a sample review and found 41% of the sample non citizens had actually voted.
We don’t know how high the fraud is because they refuse to be transparent and release the records (not to the court, not to the state house either). This will finally be heard in court in February after a five year battle. There are likely between 10,000 to 100,000 non citizens registered in PA.
And, fyi…when I was doing political surveys in my small rural precinct in 2020 (southeast PA)….I had several voter contacts tell me they were not citizens and couldn’t vote. I was literally looking at the voter record printout showing a ballot was cast in several elections in their names. I can’t know for certain, but I had the sense (they seemed truthful) it was not them voting….but someone doing it in their name without their knowledge. A full criminal investigation needs to be done.

The next action to “Get Trump” is to eliminate the electoral college. It will be Bill Clintons job to finally “Get Trump”. Clinton was on the news this morning and he says he approves of getting rid of it. So now they fill all the big cities with illegals and popular vote will win the 2024 election. Just listen to reporters at the border ask the illegals where they are going—they all say either New York, Chicago, New Jersey, San Francisco. They are also asked why they left their home country and they all say “I am mistreated in my country”. That’s been on the left’s to-do list since the late 1960’s, early 1970’s, at least in the conversations I’ve overheard – and their desired way to do that, to get rid of the electoral college, is to convince enough states to call for and have a Convention of the States.
I say that has been their plan only because my older sister, a hippie who moved in college circles in those days, had to drag me, her little sister around with her, so heard that one thing, get rid of the electoral college just as earlier the powers that be got rid of individual State legislatures deciding who would represent their State in the US Senate, and always reminded myself to see if those college kids ever get around to pulling that off.
It sure seems like that might be getting close to happening.

From a red pilling / strategy perspective, you could view the “Biden” administration’s collective action on this as a drown them with a firehose scheme (if, say, a white hat was controlling “Biden”).
The states and the mayors are beginning to scream not because of the invasion. They could and would welcome it IF dollars were attached – as they always have been in the past.
But now they are getting crushed by the social service needs and their tax base is fleeing, and THE FEDERAL MINEY ISN’T COMING.
Remember, only the federal government can print money and run an unending deficit.
The States have to balance their budgets and their ability to deficit finance is limited by the bond markets.
Would you buy a City of Chicago bond?

It’s now being reported that out of the six plaintiffs who filed the lawsuit in Colorado, not a single one is a registered Democrat. All six are either independents or… registered Republicans.
Going by this fact, I’d say there’s a high probability that the mastermind behind the lawsuit is one of Trump’s primary challengers. And I have a good idea of who it is.

And the US Senate finally closes out the year the same way it started–with a whimper.
So Monday they convened at 3:00 pm, diddled around until the only and only vote at 5:34 pm with only 61 Senators voting, 39 absent. (dang hard getting there by 7:00 pm Monday to vote after leaving last Thursday early afternoon.
But Tuesday they had votes with a whopping 67 members voting, 33 absent.
Today we don’t know how many actually showed up as there was not a roll call vote.
So time for yearly Senate fun facts:
There were 260 working days this year if you only work Monday through Friday–many in “working America” work more than just 5 days a week. So add up your own working days this year of your one or two jobs to see how many paid days you worked. Or make it easy on your self and just subtract all your paid days off from 260.
The Senate was in session 124 days ( I do not count “pro forma” days–who else gets paid when the are just a couple of their fellow workers on the job for an average of 3 minutes?) So they took off 136 days for holidays, vacation, “state work periods”(Ha!), and etc. Course the catch here is that they are not required to be there when the Senate is in session and can take off as many days, weeks, even months as they want for whatever reason–run for President and not vote for 6 months–that’s fine and dandy–no problem.
Then one has to take into account that even of those 124 days they were in session that most Mondays and Thursdays are only half days. And as far as I can tell, besides from “pro forma” days of 3 minutes or so, the Senate was in session for only 1 Friday in all of 2023. That date was September 29th, because of course they had not passed the 2024 fiscal budget yet, once again, so it would look bad if they went home early without passing it, course they never pass it anyway so we have nothing but “continuing resolutions”.
Hell of a job if you can get it!
IMO, they aren’t there for the work! They are there to get obscenely rich from the side grift and access to insider trading info. They’re all multi-multi-millionaires by the time they leave despite having a legitimate salary of $175K / yr (minus taxes). IMO they’re ALL crooks, some far worse than others.
