Two aliens from the planet Charon find their way aboard the Enterprise. I admit I initially fell for MacGregor’s seeming ‘tough love’ straight talk about Ukraine, but since then he has been yet another major disappointment.
He is just OK, but his life is steeped in living in the US military so there’s things about the real world he just doesn’t know or pretends not to know.
That does not make sense. I live in a place where 50 % of the people are “steeped” in US Military. I guess they do not know the real world either.

Got news for you. A few weeks ago, I posted a comment taken from an article by another analyst from credible sources that had casualty counts for non-combatants from Ukraine and Gaza.
The Gaza count had far outstripped in 2 months that of Ukraine in about 18 months.
That Gaza count has actually been reported by multiple other sources.
So, maybe before accusing MacGregor of ‘narrative engineering,’ you should find a reliable source to discredit his views on this, because his opinion matches the known data.
PS – that count I provided a while back had “non-combatants” broken down by adult vs children & killed vs wounded.
The most striking numbers to arise from those counts were the number of children killed or wounded, Ukraine vs Gaza.

That aside, Macgregor seems to be making a common mistake. It is arrogant, ethnocentrist, and ignorant to believe that all cultures share the same values and motivations, especially in the case of a culture that brainwashes children into foaming single-minded hatred and a life-goal higher than any other of violent jihad.

Public Opinion of the victimhood of Israel is going to be brutal in the future for their justifaction. Any discussion about protecting noncombatants is classified as antisemitic. Give me a break. I think the Russians have done a good job of not attacking noncombatants, so the statement is probably pretty accurate. Different type of war than with Hamas, though, so they are not comparable.
Bottomline is Israel will do what it will do and if they depend on the US help, they might end up with the Ukraine treatment. NYT will do what they do to sway the public opinion.

How to make our elections better for governance of our society?
I think a few simple changes would help immensely.
(1) Require people to register to vote at the Board of Elections, City or County Clerks office at least 30 days in advance of the election (if people cannot be bothered to physically travel to a readily accessible place near their home they have no business voting. Motor voter was just another Democrat ploy to get the politically ignorant, emotion fueled people to vote.
(2) Require a simple civil test be taken and passed to be registered. It need not be complicated.
A few questions such as:
If a citizen cannot be bothered to learn and retain the answers to those 7 questions before taking a test for registering to vote, then the country, state, city is better off with them not voting. AND no mail in test. The test must be in person at the clerk’s office, with no “helper,” no notecard. Will this test “disenfranchise” people? Only those that ought to be disenfranchised.
(3) Verify registered voters still live at their listed address every three years.
The above would help restore the quality of governance in our country.
