Retired Magistrate here: I just went out on our front deck (two story deck) which overlooks the river. The sky is lovely with reds, pinks, oranges, lavender, blue, purple and cream color which colors are reflecting in the river. The heavens declare the glory of GOD. Beauty is everywhere; you just have to open your eyes and look.

Beautiful evening here in North GA, too. The colors are stunning and the view from my front porch includes a pasture with cows and a tin roof barn (not mine but I get to benefit). Not sure what this has to do with Presidential Politics, but I agree. Many would benefit from stepping away from the computer and focusing on their lives (or job or family if those apply).
Getting out and talking to others outside one’s circle gives a great perspective. Actually, more comforting than pretty internet pics.

I think I have found the cure for OCD. Dealing with leaves in the fall either blowing or raking.
Yes, when all are finally down, I do try and get under bushes and such, but when 1/2+ are still on the tree…….I just get it to where I can see the ground.
I have this one tree that has leaves nearly the size of dinner plates. Then I think an Oak with those tiny little leaves. If I waited until all fell it might be knee deep+.
I’m just renting a house, for the past 10 years, and one dead tree already fell down on it. I survived. But, the landlord raised my rent to help pay for the damage.
There’s another dead tree ready to fall down on my house in the front. I had to clean those leaves for a few years, but now its going to clean me out.
At least it doesn’t drop any leaves anymore.

The publication of the apparent excerpts by a conservative commentator enraged the parents of surviving students, who have been fighting to keep the writings from ever becoming public.
But Sen. J.D. Vance of Ohio and Elon Musk, among other high profile figures, got the spin right: She/he was motivated by anti-white hate.
Mention of this happens in Paragraph 15 (!) of the Times story.
That’s remarkably deep burial. The headline should have been: “Photos of Writings Reveal Transgender Shooter Was Motivated by Anti-White Hatred,“ but that’s a tack NYT editors are loathe to take.
I find it interesting that her interest wasn’t in either transgender or homosexual issues, or tenets of the Christian faith that forbid homosexuality, or even Christianity generally.
She was against whites, and some variation of wealthiness. Very specifically: she did not like “mop yellow hair,“ khaki pants, or sports backpacks.

It’s early, but the results for Kentucky governor don’t look good for Cameron.
With 3% in, he is up by only 2%. Democrats are overperforming in blue counties and Republicans underperforming in red counties. What is wrong with Kentuckians?

Having people who are ready, willing and able to defend their nation is considered a GOOD thing in every other nation in the WORLD.

My husband and I went out for dinner tonight. There was a couple talking loudly behind us. It was like they wanted everyone in the surrounding area to hear them. They were talking about how so many people are lying about Joe and his family. I wanted to say something, but it would not have been appropriate, so I did something better. I told my husband a joke and I said it just as loud as they were talking.
How many Democrats does it take to change a light bulb? He said I don’t know how many? I said None, Joe Biden tells them he fixed it, and they sit in the dark and applaud. My husband started laughing and the couple behind us shut up. The table on the side of us laughed also. I got a wink from one of the guys at the table.
