The evidence of fraud was so unmistakeable (including video footage of people stuffing dozens of ballots in the boxes) that the judge in the case had no choice other than to throw out the results and call for a new election.

Actually “standing” which is misunderstood by most has been ‘allowed’ in a # of cases, including KL’s suits, which are proceeding through the system.
In addition and inexplicably, having blocked ALMOST all election challenges on proceedural grounds (like ‘standing’) and thus prevented any actual evidence of election fraud in 2020 from being examined in Court, they have now brought a case, against PDJT which virtually guarantees he will be able to submit such evidence, in Court as part of his defence.
Once again, their false narrative gradually collapses, their credibility is shredded, and with the loss of credibility comes the loss of power to manipulate opinion, and more exposure.
The Supreme Court allowed Al Gore’s challenge to be litigated as did the lower courts. They rather conveniently had no issues with a Democrat having “STANDING!”
I’ll believe it when I see it. Evidence will be disallowed or case will be dropped prior to any daylight hitting the reality. Only route to evidence hitting the record will be one of the other, non-PDJT, cases getting hints of the chesty through.
I voted in N. Virginia at the local school. No Republican voting literature was available, only dem literature offered by multiple people. And, inside the school entrance was a lonely and flimsy receptacle that accepts absentee ballots. 😟

Very true and good points Dutchman. No one was on firm ground during the first months of Covid scare tactics and PTrump was in the bullseye because he was the leader everyone looked to in order to find some stability. He was in a very precarious place and under tremendous stress. He had traitors all around him giving him their “advice” on what to do and he did his best to reassure us, to act in our best interests and to make decisions based on what information he was being given. I will never fault him for what he was trying to do for us at that time.
My only small problem is him now still defending the vaccine. Maybe he has a very good reason for doing that and if so, I wish he would explain it. But that could make his campaign more of a circus and the media and political enemies would jump on that and make it a gigantic issue. So, I can live with it for now. Maybe someday after his election win he will reject the vaccine as a failed treatment and a dangerous one. I hope so.
Had PDJT fired Fauci, or Scarf Lady, or Redfield, etc., he would have been impeached by the House as an existential threat to the country. In addition, IIRC, Scarf Lady reported in her book if PDJT fired anyone, they all would resign, en masse. Imagine the howling by the left and the media.

Voted in our local elections today. Ballot had four names for judge positions. They were the same four on all of the party lines. So didn’t matter what party you were identifying with as far as candidates to vote for, because they were the same ones on all the lines. Imagine that. Couple other offices were like that too. I just picked the conservative line and voted straight across except for one race in which I voted Republican line due to the person running. What a joke.
One interesting thing happened though. When I checked in to get my ballot, I had to provide name, address and birthdate which was recorded on a tablet. It was the closest to voter ID we have had in 30 years of elections I voted in. They did not ask me to show any identifying information like my license though, so I guess I could have been a fraudulent voter in reality, but the order I was asked seem to be a verifying of my ID. The gentleman recording my info said great it all matches. What? Quite different than last time I voted in 2022. I was a bit uneasy about it since this is NYS and a deep deep blue area of the deep blue state and I wondered what my information was really being used for. I am completely jaded now for anything any level of govt. is in charge of that involves me and my identifying information. Sad really.

I was listening to one of yesterday’s Warroom Episodes, I think it is 3154, and he had this man on it, starting at around minute 37, who explained the difference between Trump’s foreign policy and Biden/Obama/Bush/Clinton foreign policy. He said Biden/Obama etc think that you will get peace by strengthening the weak nations (Iran, etc) so they will not feel threatened and they will all get along with the strong nations (Israel, Japan, etc). Just got back from voting in Central PA. I was shocked at the turnout. Very steady stream and I looked at the pages of names that had already voted- it was a lot. It was more than I’ve seen even in Presidential elections. I made a comment to the poll workers about the turnout and they were shocked. My comment to them was “well maybe people are finally sick of this crap – I know I am”.

In his recent television address, Biden explained that as we transfer more weapons to Ukraine we then will build new weapons at home to replace them. That, explained Biden, means more American jobs and a stronger American economy.
So “Project Ukraine” is not really about foreign welfare, but rather domestic corporate welfare for the military-industrial complex. Should that make us feel any better?
There is no denying that this nearly two-year Ukraine/Russia war has been a boon for the US weapons industry. Profits at the military-industrial complex are back to record highs after a brief slump during the Covid scare. And the money that goes to the weapons manufactures also saturates Washington, DC: a little of it goes to the think-tanks promoting war, another little bit goes to the political campaigns of candidates who promote war, and so on.

Every time I see another article about sending money overseas to other countries my mind goes back to the speech by Gordon Sinclair – The Americans (A Canadian’s Opinion)!
Can anyone tell us what % of our taxes actually stay in America to help Legal Americans & America?? Bet its less then 25%.
Do believe that the vast majority of our national debt was/is spend to help Non-Americans(even ones illegally in our Country), Other Countries and Line the pockets of Elite Globalist politicians.

I remember my history classes how self sufficient America was in the 30s and prior to WWII. Was told it was why America was able to survive due to its many farms and factories being able to adapt and change to making wartime items needed Not any more guys–It is appalling the amount of even food stuff that is brought in from overseas, much less other items like clothing and household items. . Then look around at the number of factories, even food factories actually owned by foreigners, mostly the Chinese
in 2015 I felt it was time for another car and time to turn in Mustang before it started costing me more money then it was worth to keep it going.
Well the new 2015/16 Mustangs were not really to my liking so I searched muscle cars in my price range that were made in America, Camaro and Charger.
Well I ended up getting a Charger. Later when I was getting out the manual just to see if there were other things I needed to know the manufacturers (?) was there too. It was made in Canada! Well after putting a 1,000 miles on it, don’t think I’d get my money back..
About that time or maybe a few years earlier was when Walmart was bragging about selling only items made in the USA. However if you looked at the labels of majority of their stuff it was made in China, even stuff with signs saying “Made in the USA”.
If we all are insistent on buying America and keeping our money in America we have to look at the labels and ask questions. Sadly even be willing to pay a bit higher price or do without.

His take is this will get more serious. He was talking to family in Israel, and heard his forty year old nephew has been called up from the reserves.

Prop 1 is about farming and I was for it until I read that the Farm and Ranch Freedom Alliance says that it’s basically just cover for Big Ag to do whatever they want. They have some examples on their web site.
It’s always hard to tell with amendments in TX what the hidden agendas are. My default is NO unless they convince me otherwise.
I do think Prop 9 is good (cost of living adjustment for retired teachers). They haven’t had a COLA in something like 20 years
I lean yes on Prop 8 (broadband access). It’s really tough for a lot of rural kids to do research for homework. Some don’t have even cell coverage where they are.
I lean no on Prop 13 (raising mandatory retirement age on judges). I see no reason to discourage turnover.
I voted no on Prop 13.
I struggled with Prop 1…and voted yes in the end, for good or ill. I’m sorry I missed the bumpf on that.
And I agree…the Texas Props are not as straight forward as they may seem.
I was Suspicious Cat on them all to tell the truth, except for 3 and 4.
My daughter and I went together to vote. We arrived about 10:30, and there was a small line moving slowly because of voters having to take the time to read each amendment.
But by the time we left, the line was extremely long. Couldn’t see the end.
People have had enough of the ever increasing tax year over year and not saving their voices after upon.

This one was easy. Vote no for all the ones that raise taxes. Informed voters would have known beforehand which ones to vote for. I completed mine in just under 2 minutes.
#1 was a struggle – if a right is granted, then it could be taken away – in the end I voted for and did the same for #3 & 4.
It took me longer because I was scrutinizing every amendment (except 3 and 4) analyzing what each might mean as opposed to what it said. But in the end, the same thought went through my head about raising taxes.
But here is the thing. Texas had a HUGE pot of money left over this fiscal year, no doubt as a result of the hideous taxes we pay already. Little has been said about it…$26 billion if memory serves. What are they doing with that I wonder…
I remember thinking what a splendidly run state Texas was or I thought it was. These past few years have convinced me my pride in the Lone Star State was entirely misplaced.
Time to clean those “Augean” stables, or try too.
There was a discussion of using some of the surplus to raise teacher salaries, also a discussion of making more meaningful property tax reform. Alas, they can’t let go of the money.
I’m actually thinking about Arkansas, where Gov Sanders is *actually* reducing income tax every year with the goal of zero — without raising other taxes. And this is a Native Texan talking here, so you know that ain’t easy.

Ex Assessor here. You do have the right to contest the NON-arbitrary value set by your taxing authority. If you have good information showing your home is overvalued, you can take your issue higher than the assessors. In MN we have 3 levels of appeal. First is direct with the assessor, 2nd is with an impartial board, 3rd is tax court where a judge decides based on the merits of both sides presenting their value information. Not many people ever complained their value was too low, although there were some who thought raising the value would help them sell for more. Uh, NO.
It’s not a perfect system but it does assign tax based on use of resources and ability to pay. Big huge expensive house eats up services more than a little bungalow. When everyone buys a home it is disclosed exactly what the taxes are, and when paperwork is signed there is boilerplate saying you agree to pay the taxes.
On the other hand when neighborhoods change and value fluctuates greatly, home has a fire or flood, nearby development, or the owner is older or has limited income, most states have programs that try to help with those situations. I don’t like property taxes but I don’t think anybody has come up with a better way to fund local government. It’s also not so much the specific property tax but the overall rate that includes sales tax, county tax, and income tax. If they lower your property tax, they might just shift that to some other tax. Watch out.
Betsy is right. You must vote even in local elections for any change to happen. In my city, last election of city council only got 26% turnout. And you won’t get tax reduction without spending reduction…..so, yes go vote.

Yes, interesting. The homestead exclusion will likely work by calculating a “taxable market value” as opposed to “estimated market value”. You only pay tax on TMV. This also works to confuse taxpayers because they tend to focus on the TMV where they really should be concerned about EMV, which is typically what you could sell your home for.
Mn has a non-linear homestead exclusion that benefits the lowest value homes more than the higher value, and above $400k or so, the homestead exclusion becomes zero.
You are correct about value EMV being what a willing buyer and seller in an open market will agree to. Normally that is based on similar sales in a geographic area around your home.
MN used to have a law that restricted the increase in value from one year to the next so that owners in a high demand neighborhood would see their TMV lower than EMV, a tax break. Unfortunately, when one of these homes sold, the law said the TMV would be reset to the EMV because of the sale. Realtors used to brag about low taxes on these because they did not understand the program. Then they got bit when the new owner saw a big tax increase on their first bill.
Nobody really wins on all these programs except the politicians who get to keep on spending.
