Mike Johnson is a big upgrade from Kevin McCarthy. Johnson has a solid and stable disposition, is very grounded toward finding optimal solutions and was /is a strong ally and defender of President Trump and the MAGA movement. Johnson arrived with the Trump ’16 wave, and he has earned the space to see if he can deliver great outcomes.
When compared to the alternatives, Speaker Johnson is a big step in the right direction. Matt Gaetz delivered an exceptional outcome, albeit likely with a little 🙏 divine luck for the assist.

I think 220 out of 221 voted; one was in Israel.
I’m not concerned about them all voting for Johnson. The RINOs knew the GOP has a very slim margin to work with and I think after it was made public that mccarthy was sabotaging all the candidates, they knew the game was over.
I also think the blue state/district GOP/RINOs felt like they couldn’t vote for Jordan because he’s too well known as a MAGA/Trump supporter and it also let them vent their anger about Gaetz taking out mccarthy.
OTOH, before yesterday, most people had never heard of Johnson. I was hoping that would work in his favor and think it did. Jordan took a lot of bullets that I think ultimately helped Johnson.
The RINOs also knew this couldn’t go on forever; they’ve got to get back to grifting as usual.
Whatever the case, it worked out beautifully, imo. We have the most conservative pro God, pro American speaker I can remember.
I think a bit of intervention in the heavenly’s may have contributed…. But what do I know?

As pointed out by Gaetz and other MAGA Reps doing spots on the War Room… everyday MAGADONIANS had a hand in the events over the last several weeks as well… burning up the House phone lines, promising political retribution on those trying to drop the Establishment Anchor. According to those on the inside, The Voice Of The People had an impact. With broad Trump/MAGA support only growing… perhaps a sense of inevitability was in the air?

I noticed this change about 5 days to a week ago with various talk radio hosts. They no longer were taking nasty little shots at PDJT at every opportunity, but sounded resigned to his eventual nomination.
I don’t recall the details, but it seemed like some poll had come out showing PDJT continuing to gain ground. There is one local talk show host that my wife listens to, and even he drastically cut back on the nasty jabs at him.
More polls just discussed today are about PDJT being ahead in swing states, and in at least two, ahead of Obiden outside the margin of error.
The tide is turning. It’s just taking longer for reality to sink in for some.
We owe this victory to two people – Gaetz and Trump. Gaetz for blowing up the status quo and starting the process, and Trump for saving it from Emmer.
Meanwhile, McCarthy is vanquished. As word gets out of his double-dealing and obstruction, his career is over. No one will trust him.
I don’t think Johnson is fully comfortable yet, but I think he will grow into it quickly and that he is going to be excellent and make historic changes in the way we do government. And not a moment too soon.

I am the daughter of a fire fighter. My parents didn’t have much but worked their behinds off to provide for us. We sacrificed A LOT of creature comforts. I will never feel “guilt” what the left calls “privilege”. How dare they. My mother stayed home to raise us. We never had a second car. We didn’t have cable TV until I was almost in college. My mother could stretch a pound of hamburger 6 ways to Sunday to feed us. My folks did that because the LOVED us and knew what they needed to provide for us.
The left wants to mock Christianity.
Christianity and Christian values are what kept my parents together.
They believed in God, and they believed in the sanctity of marriage. I was so fortunate that they set an excellent example for me. But I’m most fortunate that they valued their faith. From that comes everything.
I have a lot of hope for Mike Johnson. God bless him and guide him in doing what is best for, and what the American people want.
