Dropping the remnants of his mask, Hannity finishes the interview extolling the virtues of the military industrial complex, and saying only career politicians are qualified to be President. Hannity has NOT aged well…it is truly fascinating to see just how many of the early “stars” of the Conservative era of the late 80s/early 90s, who cut their teeth on pushing back AGAINST permanent Washington, somehow became completely embroiled in the DC cocktail party circuit and sold their souls for an invite to the White House Christmas party! (See Peggy Noonan, Megan Kelly, and Brit Hume, as well as, of course, the ever insufferable Hannity!)
They rose to fame, for the most part, because they were average middle class Americans who could see that things were not right and they weren’t afraid to say it. But how quickly they went from calling out the raw sewage to jumping into the “Hot Tub of the Swamp” every chance they get!

Afterwards, Colmes became more of a token liberal guest on several other Fox News TV shows. I never thought he brought any real substance to his “debates”.. He passed away in 2017
