Apparently, the brainiacs at Target corp. opened these 2 stores in….wait for it……2019!
Guess they didn’t realize that Seattle was already scraping the bottom of the barrel long before then???
A blind man could’ve seen these closures coming!
I believe they are also closing ADDITIONAL Stores in San Francisco and to no ones surprise, especially Oakland for “Crime”.
You know the criminals will just move their ops to the next ring of stores, the suburbs.

More hopium. It’s not gonna get reversed on appeal, and Trump won’t be able to sue Letitia James or the judge over it. Brian Cates seems not to know how unusual it is for a judge to write a summary judgement. They ONLY do that when they feel very, very sure no reasonable jury would disagree on the findings of fact. So there’s enough documentary evidence that testimony can’t counter it. If judges have ANY doubt, they leave it up to a future trial to decide. I don’t care what your opinion is about this judge’s political biases or motives are. They don’t put their own heads on the block for any sort of likely reversal.

Sure they do. Judges do it all the time, especially for the cause or nice fat bribe. Judges have no problem being reversed because they can always blame the higher courts for doing the wrong thing when the judge did the “right” thing. I learned this is Law 101.

Retired NYS teacher here. To back up your point, prior to my retiring in 2020, I had several strained relationships with younger female colleagues because they feared (correctly) that I hadn’t supported the loser of the 2016 election and not openly denounce her supposed immoral opponent. I was essentially ostracized and removed from the group.
No loss there, better to be me than them.
Fast forward to yesterday. Had a lengthy, non-political conversation with a former female colleague from my school which eventually got to the economy, and the fact that many of my former co-workers are grumbling about needing to take on extra assignments/cut back on retirement investments to make ends meet. She also told me that the female head of one of the HS depts in the district told her regardless, she still needed to vote Democrat. STILL!
I told my friend that to my knowledge, never EVER in the history of a nation that has free and fair elections, has a populace EVER voted repeatedly for the candidate/party that has lowered the standard of living, raised prices, and removed quality of life.
Asked her if she could find an example.

If you read the article linked, they are very clear to say that the money went directly to Hunter, that the address listed was Joe’s, but that the money was sent to Hunter, not Joe. (This is CNN afterall.)
Saman never directly misstates what CNN wrote, but he twists it. And then implies with dots CNN leaves out that it is a Joe quid pro quo.
Bubby then misstates to confuse with the address VS account. But reading deeper into the CNN article you find quotes where similar misstatements are made about what Republicans said.
I find these misdirection everywhere in this affair. ‘They didn’t talk business.” Hunter was selling access to the V.P. They talked, that was the business, the proof of access, right there in the boardroom.
They make a deal to pay Hunter for access. Later comes the personal favor. The access was used. After that came the reward to Hunter for getting the personal favor from his dad.
It’s the address of record for the account that received the funds.
You’re right, wire transfers go to the bank account, but Hunter was using Joe’s Delware home as the beneficiary address for identification purposes. Read the full aticle linked in the tweet for the details.
Details and nuance getting lost in translation is always a problem when a complex story is summarized into a tweet or soundbite.

The massive USD 4.2 billion Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) has been at the center of a regional dispute ever since Ethiopia broke ground on the project in 2011.
But neither Sudan nor Egypt, the two countries located downstream of the Ethiopian dam, are represented. Khartoum and Cairo have previously cited it as a threat because of their dependence on Nile waters, while Ethiopia deems it essential for its electrification and development.

US gives $89m for clean energy projects in East Africa
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has announced a grant of up to USD 89 million over the next five years to step up investment in renewable energy and reduce electricity access gaps in East and central Africa.
The money will be used to directly support the creation of about 10 million on-and off-grid electricity connections, a move expected to connect at least 50 million people to electricity generated from clean sources.
Besides the grant, the American embassy in Nairobi said the US would mobilize new public and private investments of up to USD 4.7 billion in the region’s renewable energy projects through its ‘Power Africa’ program.
USAid Administrator, Samantha Power, said that since the Power Africa program has proven that “clean energy investment delivers meaningful returns,” the new grant would be used as leverage to help mobilize more investments in the region’s clean energy projects.

We know the inflation was triggered by Joe’s oil price rises. And it exploded with Joe’s Ukraine War due to his sanctions.
But there is a school of thought, very vocal, that says inflation is ONLY caused by excess money. And that is the generally accepted historical cause, though that money was generally devalued first by removing precious metal it was also mass produced so that TPTB could spend more. Roman Emperors did it.
From that perspective, the massive government spending due to Covid is part of the cause of our inflation.
There are major flaws with this simplistic theory.
Comparatively our present spending is dwarfed by the amount of money printed to use as securities in banks after the 2008 crash. But all that money never caused inflation.
When you crash the economy with shutdowns, maybe massive increases in government spending help make up for massive decreases in private spending.
And I have yet to see any of these loudly vocal soothsayers actually predict anything. There is a lot of see I told you so afterwards, but this theory should have accurate predictive value. But they can’t.
Finally, the Fed solution, raise interest rates making less money available, is based on this theory but is failing to stop inflation.
But yes, Trump increased the debt and the deficit and government spending, so by the loud mouth’s theory this should have caused inflation. So inflation that only happened after Trump is Trump’s fault. /s

And what exactly could MOLLY BALL testify to as a witness that cannot be gleaned by the very evidence she has shared and is available to legal professionals?
If she cannot testify that she personally witnessed any event she describes or has evidence of the specific occurrence, it would be a waste of time.
The evidence itself is what counts for the prosecutor to use.
Molly is but just one of countless people who have exposed the steal and ‘coup’ with evidence of various types.
There is nothing inherently better that she did or has possession of that is better or different than others who have been or are working on this same issue.
At this point after scores and scores of times of you pointing out this one individual and her story almost everyday, it has be to asked are you an influencer, promoter for her over everyone else; or just obsessed with her?
There are all types of angles and evidence of a wide variety of events, issues, and personalities that are involved with the coup that she hasn’t even remotely covered. So why the intense focus?
Is there anything new or different that you can contribute beyond Molly
Ball?

In 4 mths time DJT will sweep the early Repub Primaries and become unassailable.
The panic levels within the RINOs must be at very high levels today.
I think Sundance is right. The RINOs will have to quickly put forward a unified candidate (Haley I would guess ) to garner the votes of the other no hopers and to create some pretense at a contest.
I think Viveks votes will go to trump though and so this Repub farce is over .
And the more they try to take down DJT using lawfare the harder the people will support him.
For sure though , the USA is in for a fateful year.
If Biden is removed by democrats under the 25th amendment for mental problems then his pardoning power must be removed as he is not in his right mind.
You realize that the 25th only works if the President willingly goes away.
Should the President fight, it requires 2/3rds of both Chambers.
Impeachment only requires 50+% in the House, 2/3rds in the Senate.
Using the 25th to oust an unwilling President is harder and thus less realistic than using Impeachment to oust him.
BTW, even with the votes of 2/3rds of both Chambers, the 25th only makes the V.P. the Acting President. The President is not removed, just set aside.

It is sad that so much of what passes for political discourse is so misinformed. I never see people in the media talking about the 25th and Trump or now Biden actually discussing the realities of the 25th. Instead, they make it seem easy to get rid of the President they don’t like.
It’s kind of obvious that if Biden was removed, his pardon power would automatically be removed as well.
But the 25th (section 4) would require his own democrat loyalists in the executive branch and/or cabinet to initiate the process before Congress gets to weigh in. That’s just not going to happen. Trump’s cabinet had more hidden opponents, and more working against him throughout the executive branch, and they didn’t try. I can’t see VP Harris and Biden’s cabinet being more likely to do it.
It would be more face-saving for Joe to resign under section 3, where HE declares he’s unable to perform his duties, but I don’t really see that happening either.
The Angry Old Man would never admit he has a problem.
