The poll found that 46 percent of potential Republican primary voters in South Carolina support President Trump while the state’s former governor, Nikki Haley, stands in second place at 18 percent. Ten percent support Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) and 9 percent back Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. {media report}
The split approach appears to be working. However, the recipient of the split is collapsing.

I heard 5 days ago from people who had traveled through South Carolina, spending a week there in total. Trump signs, flags, banners and the like were commonplace. Other candidates? Not so much, if at all.
Aside from the obvious public support for PDT is the fact that most of these “polls” are probably off by 20-30%. I don’t answer any calls from unknown numbers and block the numbers if pollsters leave a message.
Ask ANYONE you know, that you consider MAGA, if they respond to polls.
I haven’t found ANY, and haven’t had any affirmative responces to my comments here, asking the same.
Which means ALL of these poll results, are without ANY MAGA respondents.

According to Balletopedia, primaries in SC are open, which means Dems can vote in the Republican primary. Primary winners are determined by majority vote. If no candidate wins a majority, a runoff election is held two weeks following the primary.
