I’ve swept up the debris from many destroyed aircraft, one might be surprised by how little remains.
People have their own version of physics in their heads, like a cartoon picture of a plane crumpling like a soda can on a mountain side leaving the stone unscathed.
Sweeping up debris from an aircraft crash certainly doesn’t make you a forensics expert.
An airplane is a semi monocoque structure. Therefore it would crumple like a soda can. Upon impact it explodes separating the once large mass into thousands of separate bodies of small mass to individually impact the WTC.
How much damage do you think a 200# person strapped to their airplane seat flying at 250 mph would impart on the WTC? How about 200 of them?

You know, Griever, back in the day – I want to say in the late 1970’s or early 1980’s – I was a small child at the time. There was an airliner that had an issue at the Indianapolis International Airport and it flew into a hotel here. Not a skyscraper – but I think it was a Marriott hotel.
I can’t find anything on it. You would think some history buff would be able to post something.
That hotel didn’t fall down. I was so little when it happened, and I’m not sure how many floors it had, but I remember it on the television and seeing the impact area on the building. You could see the outline of the plane.
It did not fall down.
Now… I know that a skyscraper would likely have a seismic quality impact to it… so I can’t say for sure. But what I am saying… is that this has happened before… in Indianapolis to a much shorter building.

The charred building stood for more than two years; the hotel owners never rebuilt because they were unable to decide on an appropriate design. Currently, a parking lot stands on the site. The bank branch damaged by the plane is still standing today. It has been converted to a hospice [9] and subsequently closed permanently as of 2022.
Parking lot was for airport off-site parking with shuttle service.
Since the Old Weir-Cook terminal as abandoned for the new terminal, it has probably been closed / up for sale since the new terminal and dedicated off ramp on I-70 was installed to service the “modern” terminal.
Not sure how anybody got any rest in that hospice with the planes going overhead constantly, musta been the cheapest priced one in town. (something was near it I had to go to from time to time don’t remember what)
Grandmas house was in the same area, as a kid was rather unnerved with the big planes going over her roof at what I considered almost touchable at the time.
She would take us to a Root Beer (barrel) shaped building for RB floats and such and watch the planes land & take off at the airport fence.
Being a youngster, I didn’t have the thought to pay attention to the details of the pilot. I do find intriguing though that he was military and the type of aircraft it was in Indianapolis.
Would be interesting to compare the Indy crash (A-7 Corsair), the Chicago crash (737) Aggiegirl posted about, and the WTC crash (767) with impact site displacement and debris field… but, I’m sure people well above my pay grade are well-versed in such things.
Glad this post mentions what should puzzle even the peeps who believe building 7 fell because of heat: how in the everloving f@#k did Mohamed Attah’s passport flutter from the fireball to the ground unscathed? Who picked it up and were they investigated? They handed it to an FBI agent who happed to be chilling right next to them?
I think if it fell due to the aircrafts, that it was related to a seismic issue not a heat one. But, that’s just me armchair quarterbacking it. I would be interested to know what the area registered on the Richter scale at the time of the impact.
I just gave my daughter a little lesson on sheer walls verses structural walls. A hit to a structural wall would cause a seismic like reaction. Tearing at electrical would cause fires.
But would be interesting to dig deeper into the Indianapolis incident where it says the fire department had the fire under control so quickly. Much easier at ground level verses a hundred floors up.

Lord help us – but look at the surroundings of the crash site in the United Flight 553 photos. That looks like a pretty sizeable plane that struck.
Those are some pretty sturdy houses. They don’t build skyscrapers… errrr… homes…. errr skyscrapers… like that anymore.
It doesn’t matter how those buildings structurally failed and went down. What matters is all of those souls who perished there. All of those souls who perished in the two decades since from their attempts at doing the right thing to save souls there. The collateral damage is unmeasurable to those families and friends.
I go back to my only question that matters to me in response to it all:
Was the C-VID release accidental or intentional? Was the (insert tragedy here) accidental or intentional?
Those are the only questions that matter. Until we find out about intentionality – we will never have public trust or resolve to move forward. We can’t build a new Republic until those answers are found and those who are guilty pay.
So, I watched, personally, with my own two eyes, the second plane hit the other tower. Whomever flew that plane aimed for one of the four outside columns of that tower. It is quite clear in the videos. I also know what I personally saw as do 9 other family members, a few hundred coworkers and millions of NYrs. Those planes stayed in the buildings. Debris, flames, etc came out of the other end but no plane. It stayed and burned in the building. Family members who were closer than I as in dodging bodies closer, did not hear additional explosions before the buildings fell.
Now, since I know folks who work in the skyscraper construction industry who had family that worked on those buildings, the Twin Towers were built with an open concept floor plan. Most skyscrapers have many many more columns. The twin towers did not. They have trusses instead. This we know. It was part of the open floor plan.
The fire retardant on those trusses can come off or become compromised if hit too hard.
Since those trusses in the twin towers were of a lighter material and the likelihood some, maybe a lot, of the fit retardant was possibly no longer 100%—the trusses became structurally unsound as time went on. This was due to the hit by the planes, plus the fire and heat from the fires. Trusses are affected by fire differently than columns. Trusses that we’re no longer structurally sound all led to the pancaking of the floors we all saw.
The laws of physics then took over. Once the pancaking started, there was no stopping it.
The building fell in on itself as it was designed to. The architect of the building has said so many times. No one in NYC or elsewhere ever wants a building to fall over.
The open floor plan using lighter weight trusses instead of the normal number of columns led to their failure.
This is the opinion of family and friends who build skyscrapers from the hound up in NYC. Think what you will. This is our opinion.
There were no observable secondary explosions.
Millions of eyes witnessed two plane strikes and nothing else.
Now how the persons flying those planes were able to get passports and take flight training doesn’t pass the John Brennan smell test.
Let’s not forget that the pentagon was damaged and that one plane never made its target……..that was the op and the results were what one might expect in the real world.
But a hundred pancakes falling down right on top of each other would leave a pile of broken pancakes. The pancakes would not revert back to dusty pancake mix at the bottom.
How long would a tank of jet fuel burn if you put a match to it? I’m thinking immediate explosion. The fuel didn’t burn for hours.
So what exactly was burning for so long? Office furniture, sheet rock, carpeting? That stuff simply doesn’t burn hot enough to cause the collapse, from the top down. Office buildings don’t completely collapse when they have a fire on a floor.
It was not a top down collapse, it was a bottom up collapse.
Jet fuel is like kerosene it doesn’t explode but it does burn. Anything detonated (look up the definition) at the base of the towers would have been observable…no one saw that
I thought about this. Acoustic tiles. Insulation. We had a fire here locally where a residence burned up from fireworks that reignited, ran up the side of his house, and caught the insulation in the attic on fire.
Fabrics. Acoustic tiles. Sound attenuation materials. Insulation. Then, the width of the plane cutting through – slicing through electrical wires leaving those wires exposed and arcing.
Horrific. Hell of a way to die. I will never get the pictures of the people jumping from the buildings out of my head.
Never saw “pancaking” of the floors. They all became unstable at about the same time and accelerated downward.
It was clearly a controlled demolition. Just watch the collapse of any of the 3 buildings and compare it to a video of a controlled demolition on YouTube.
Where do you get the idea that the floors pancaked? It’s not in any video. No floors ever come together until they hit the debris collecting on the ground. Say what?
Additionally, the structure uniformly accelerated to the ground faster than gravity itself. How’s that?

You got lots of holes in your ideas about what happened.
You start with facts and conclude that it is your opinion. Kinda tells me you don’t really believe it. Cognitive dissonance for most is more powerful than the material of the passport found that magically survived with everything else turned into dust.

In my old age, I’m now of the opinion that 9/11 happened to usher in the Patriot Act. I no longer believe that this terrorism stemmed from the outside.

it is not generally known that two airplanes have hit The Empire State Building in the past: the largest was a B-25 bomber, lost in bad weather, which caused the airplane to hit the structure in the 78th, 79th, and 80th floors.

Can’t forget that President Trump was right there to help with food and anything else needed as the search continued. A woman made booties for the dogs as the area was still hot. While I know Bin Laden got the credit, how many in this land, government, status of power were also responsible.
One ought never forget that the video recovered in Afghanistan of Bin Laden, an engineer, saw him not only rejoicing but amazed as he did not anticipate let alone plot the compete destruction of even a single building.

We all wonder what we can do about 9-11. The Gettysburg Address ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gettysburg_Address ) gives us an answer. If you read the address with 9-11 in mind, you’ll see that the address could be made today, with only a few changes.
The address says that ceremonies are “fitting and proper”.
But the address then says that our job is to make sure that the dead didn’t die in vain. Our job is to resolve “that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom — and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.”
So we can pray, “Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?” (Acts 9:6). Then we can follow the Lord’s guidance of what we should do, to help and protect our country.

The left has worked to erase the heartfelt memories of 9/11, to minimize the day. Why? Because they don’t want us to remember and tap into what a patriotic country felt like in the days that followed 9/11.
The want us to forget our heartfelt welling up of grief and horror. To forget our heartfelt gratitude and awe at the brave first responders.
And especially they want to erase our memory of the massive upswelling of American Patriotism of American Pride and unity and examples everywhere of selfless service that arose in the days that followed. People risked their health to dig for survivors in the toxic air and many died over the years from related health damage. People stood in long lines to donate blood, that in the end was not needed.
For all the horror and unspeakable personal grief for many (I knew someone on the first plane) the days that followed also were a touchstone memory of what a patriotic country felt like.

I don’t know what happened on 9/11, but the official story is as true as the stories they told about Covid and the shots.
Maybe the victims of that day will get to see justice, but it won’t be today.

I have an easy solution; repeal EVERYTHING except what’s in the Constitution itself.
If the other elements are at all popular then they should have no problem gaining the popular support of the American people to get them re-passed.
Having worked for a state environmental agency for fifteen years, I would estimate that 50% of the FTE’s could be fired with virtually no impact.
Having been in private business for 25 years after my state stint, I dealt with many city, county , state and federal level agencies.
I would revise that estimate to 60%.
That would be a start.
However, we all know that once a government reaches a certain size, it continues to grow as a result of its own mass and momentum.
Only a hard reset will stop the metastasis.
That hard reset will hurt many innocents.
It will happen, nonetheless. There is no escaping or stopping what is coming.

An airplane is a semi monocoque structure. Therefore it would crumple like a soda can. Upon impact it explodes separating the once large mass into thousands of separate bodies of small mass to individually impact the WTC.

You know, Griever, back in the day – I want to say in the late 1970’s or early 1980’s – I was a small child at the time. There was an airliner that had an issue at the Indianapolis International Airport and it flew into a hotel here. Not a skyscraper – but I think it was a Marriott hotel.
I can’t find anything on it. You would think some history buff would be able to post something.
That hotel didn’t fall down. I was so little when it happened, and I’m not sure how many floors it had, but I remember it on the television and seeing the impact area on the building. You could see the outline of the plane.

Now… I know that a skyscraper would likely have a seismic quality impact to it… so I can’t say for sure. But what I am saying… is that this has happened before… in Indianapolis to a much shorter building.

I just gave my daughter a little lesson on sheer walls verses structural walls. A hit to a structural wall would cause a seismic like reaction. Tearing at electrical would cause fires.
But would be interesting to dig deeper into the Indianapolis incident where it says the fire department had the fire under control so quickly. Much easier at ground level verses a hundred floors up.

Lord help us – but look at the surroundings of the crash site in the United Flight 553 photos. That looks like a pretty sizeable plane that struck.
Those are some pretty sturdy houses. They don’t build skyscrapers… errrr… homes…. errr skyscrapers… like that anymore.
It doesn’t matter how those buildings structurally failed and went down. What matters is all of those souls who perished there. All of those souls who perished in the two decades since from their attempts at doing the right thing to save souls there. The collateral damage is unmeasurable to those families and friends.
I go back to my only question that matters to me in response to it all:
Was the C-VID release accidental or intentional? Was the (insert tragedy here) accidental or intentional?
Those are the only questions that matter. Until we find out about intentionality – we will never have public trust or resolve to move forward. We can’t build a new Republic until those answers are found and those who are guilty pay.
So, I watched, personally, with my own two eyes, the second plane hit the other tower. Whomever flew that plane aimed for one of the four outside columns of that tower. It is quite clear in the videos. I also know what I personally saw as do 9 other family members, a few hundred coworkers and millions of NYrs. Those planes stayed in the buildings. Debris, flames, etc came out of the other end but no plane. It stayed and burned in the building. Family members who were closer than I as in dodging bodies closer, did not hear additional explosions before the buildings fell.
Now, since I know folks who work in the skyscraper construction industry who had family that worked on those buildings, the Twin Towers were built with an open concept floor plan. Most skyscrapers have many many more columns. The twin towers did not. They have trusses instead. This we know. It was part of the open floor plan.
The fire retardant on those trusses can come off or become compromised if hit too hard.
Since those trusses in the twin towers were of a lighter material and the likelihood some, maybe a lot, of the fit retardant was possibly no longer 100%—the trusses became structurally unsound as time went on. This was due to the hit by the planes, plus the fire and heat from the fires. Trusses are affected by fire differently than columns. Trusses that we’re no longer structurally sound all led to the pancaking of the floors we all saw.
The laws of physics then took over. Once the pancaking started, there was no stopping it.
The building fell in on itself as it was designed to. The architect of the building has said so many times. No one in NYC or elsewhere ever wants a building to fall over.
The open floor plan using lighter weight trusses instead of the normal number of columns led to their failure.
This is the opinion of family and friends who build skyscrapers from the hound up in NYC. Think what you will. This is our opinion.

But a hundred pancakes falling down right on top of each other would leave a pile of broken pancakes. The pancakes would not revert back to dusty pancake mix at the bottom.
How long would a tank of jet fuel burn if you put a match to it? I’m thinking immediate explosion. The fuel didn’t burn for hours.
So what exactly was burning for so long? Office furniture, sheet rock, carpeting? That stuff simply doesn’t burn hot enough to cause the collapse, from the top down. Office buildings don’t completely collapse when they have a fire on a floor.
It was not a top down collapse, it was a bottom up collapse.
Jet fuel is like kerosene it doesn’t explode but it does burn. Anything detonated (look up the definition) at the base of the towers would have been observable…no one saw that

I thought about this. Acoustic tiles. Insulation. We had a fire here locally where a residence burned up from fireworks that reignited, ran up the side of his house, and caught the insulation in the attic on fire.
Fabrics. Acoustic tiles. Sound attenuation materials. Insulation. Then, the width of the plane cutting through – slicing through electrical wires leaving those wires exposed and arcing.

it is not generally known that two airplanes have hit The Empire State Building in the past: the largest was a B-25 bomber, lost in bad weather, which caused the airplane to hit the structure in the 78th, 79th, and 80th floors.

The left has worked to erase the heartfelt memories of 9/11, to minimize the day. Why? Because they don’t want us to remember and tap into what a patriotic country felt like in the days that followed 9/11.
The want us to forget our heartfelt welling up of grief and horror. To forget our heartfelt gratitude and awe at the brave first responders.
And especially they want to erase our memory of the massive upswelling of American Patriotism of American Pride and unity and examples everywhere of selfless service that arose in the days that followed. People risked their health to dig for survivors in the toxic air and many died over the years from related health damage. People stood in long lines to donate blood, that in the end was not needed.
For all the horror and unspeakable personal grief for many (I knew someone on the first plane) the days that followed also were a touchstone memory of what a patriotic country felt like.
God, I ask that you bless President Trump and his family. Amen.

I don’t know what happened on 9/11, but the official story is as true as the stories they told about Covid and the shots.
Maybe the victims of that day will get to see justice, but it won’t be today.
