As we discussed yesterday, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem appeared in Rapid City to introduce Donald Trump during the rally. Governor Noem delivers her full-throated endorsement for President Trump. WATCH:
Interesting subtext from Politico to fill in some additional information. “Noem has a warm relationship with the former president, not to mention a direct line to him. Corey Lewandowksi, Trump’s first campaign manager who has had an on-again, off-again role in advising Noem, will be on the plane to Rapid City with Trump on Friday at the former president’s request, he told POLITICO.”
Add the Lewandowski element to the overall analysis and data. {Go Deep} Lewandowski has some zipper problems, but he’s otherwise pretty astute to the schemes in the background. It’s interesting that President Trump would want to hear from Lewandowski ahead of Noem, and bring him along to the rally.
Interesting.
So does Lewandowski start to feed Noem false intel to see if it shows up in the Hate News or on the anti-Trump websites?
All we know is that Noem is a Pence 2.0 …snake.
Agree WSB
I would take KN in the Senate if it takes out Thune… she’ll have no seniority.
That is a highly tolerable scenario, and a great trade-off.
ugg… her actions say different.
All part of the plan of action. Same as De Sanctimonious.
Yep.
I’m from SD and WSB is actually correct. Noem has played along to get along with the likes of Tom Daschle, the murder Mike Rounds when he was governor and life long Chicago machine Democrat Denis Dauugard who also became governor then fled the state ? Who knows where that corrupt in the pocket of China SoB went?
When I was with the Tea Party and Kristy was a Congress Critter she came back to SD and held a Cracker-barrel, we got to ask her direct unscripted questions. She lied on every single issue. All of them we knew the truth of, and she didn’t know shiite. Even lied to my face after wards. Simple no nonsense conservative issues and she lied.l
Like Mitt who Trump handles beautifully
I like Lewandowski. I don’t like Noem.
Damn, I really hate it when you are dead right like that. Noem is a party animal like mike Pence
LOL!
🤔
Jeez I hope he doesn’t fall for this crap again? He definitely is a sucker for flattery …. especially from a pretty woman … sigh
Yup. Trump’s picks for whom he held close were pretty…..awful at times.
Sure, you can blame Senate confirmations, but ultimately it was Trump that had to ok them.
these type of postings drive me crazy
just tell us that you knew all along that President Trump’s
own party would assist/lead the charge to do him in
did all of you posters know and not the rest of us?
why didn’t you tell us prior to?
I suspect you know the answer.
I don’t want a medal, but I knew Barr was a POS thirty years ago.
Aren’t you special?
Where were the alarms to Trump and CTH just 5-6 years ago?
That’s right, there weren’t any.

Yes, there were. It just wasn’t getting to Trump. The Neocons that control the GOP isolated Trump the same way they did Reagan dirty in the 1980’s
Black Knight, ther is a reason people like Mercedes Schlapp were placed on the Commmunications team at the Trump White House via Pence recommendation, most likely. The Communication team was controlling what information was being sent President Trump. And that’s only one example on one team.
No there were, just not at the places most people are willing to look. Alex Jones sounded alarms during confirmation. We hoped he was wrong, but he was right again.
All due respect…this is where I part company.
I also admonish that many consider the implications of their position. It undercuts some piece of what MAGA purportedly stands for.
I voted for PDJT twice and will do so again. Sundance’s thoughts expressed in another post vis an imperfect but courageous man standing in the breach on behalf of all resonates – very strongly.
As someone who has observed leadership in the military from the squadron level all the way through to the four star level there is a fundamental understanding that does not change – leaders are accountable and responsible. Responsibility, in particular, can be a double edged sword. But it comes with the territory. This reflexive, unthinking instinct to protect PDJT from everything that unfolded on his watch that might be negative is dangerous. Furthermore, it can lead one to question exactly what MAGA core values truly are.
The electorate should always hold its leaders accountable and responsible. The import of that dictum can flow in many directions. For me, excepting criminal behavior or neglect of duty, it means “fix it so it doesn’t happen again. No excuses.”
Well, I’m pretty sure they had Barr write an op-ed favorable toward Trump, to make it look like he was on Trump’s side.
I want to know who recommended Barr to Trump. I know that Laura Ingraham, and I think Hannity too, and probably Joe DeGenova were all saying Barr was the right guy to clean up the mess at DOJ.
But all you had to do was a quick 5 min search online to find out that Barr was CIA and spent his entire career covering for the deep state–I’m not putting that on Trump. Again, I want to know who recommended him to Trump.
Wasn’t it Dubya?
It doesn’t matter who recommended. Mitch’s approval was needed for the final hiring.
No, it does matter. What trai torous POS started the personnel process? Who made the phone call to Trump’s people? Who sent that recommendation email?
Those names are important so they can be identified and removed entirely from the decision matrix. I would go the extra mile and then discredit them in public, so they have to then get honest work to survive.
Chris Christie was on the transition team. Probably him or Pence.
Always in the background, the machinations of this dude and the other 49 senators who gave no opportunity for Trump to choose outside the GOPe corral.
Yep. I don’t have a link, but McConnell’s statement to PDJT that Barr was the only nominee who could be confirmed is well known.
Trust the plan, like Jeb! says…

Oops – DUBYA
Ex NJ Governer “Crispy Cream” recommended Wray.
I believe it was Chris Christie..
Yes he was a POS. Unfortunately Trump had no choice because Mitch tightly controlled who Trump could have for AG because Mitch controlled ALL the Senate vote confirmations for ALLExecutive hiring.
Mitch would never have let trump keep Matt Whittaker on as AG. Too unknown. He is a keeper though for next time around.

One only has to look up the politician’s donors.
Did I say that? Did I say anything like that?
NO.
I DID say that, in retrospect, his picks were pretty awful.
Unless you are so blinded by unquestioning loyalty to forget Reince Preibus, Rex, Mad Dog, Barr…….
You just wake up Amjean? Of course we knew. Of course we told everyone we could. Trump beat Jebrah Bush in the primaries. The Bush family owns the corrupt GOP

My, my!
So all of you that are so convinced that Trump is THE ONLY solution are going to be awfully disappointed.
Look, I support Trump. Period.
But that doesn’t mean he is infallible.
Regardless of the order of recommending/ approval, Trump had to agree, that’s all. His ego can be his own worst enemy.
So can yours.
If we’re disappointed, it’s because Trump doesn’t ascend back into the Presidency and we will all be in trouble.
And you still haven’t offered a viable, credible alternative, just bad mouthing Trump.
And it seems you are the one with an ego problem that is in full display.
Nice try.

Swamp factories churn out credentialed micro-managers by quota. You have to go off-site to find any talent. My opinion only.
“It’s people in authority like Bill Barr that allow the crazed Radical Left to succeed. He and other RINOs in the Republican Party are being used in order to try to convince people that the election was legitimate when so many incredible facts have now come out to show conclusively that it wasn’t.
“He came in with a semi-bang and went out with a whimper. Earlier in his term Bill Barr went ballistic on CNN with Wolf Blitzer warning Democrats were changing election rules to flood the system with mail-in ballots that “as a matter of logic” are “very open to fraud.” They are, and Bill Barr did nothing about it.” [..]
“Now it was revealed that Barr was being pushed to tell lies about the election by Mitch McConnell, another beauty, who was worried about damaging the Republicans chances in the Georgia runoff.
“What really damaged the Senate Republicans was allowing their races to be rigged and stolen, and worse, the American people to no longer believe their vote matters because spineless RINOs like Bill Barr and Mitch McConnell did nothing.”

Try looking at the plus and not the minus. After all, President Trump is a man and no human is without imperfection. However, go back to when he was president and did everything he could for the good of the country. Oh you can point out some failures but I’ll argue its because of the lack of support and not his willingness or efforts to try. Maybe you need to stop looking for a pedestal and rather look at the achievements. He will do what he says he will do as best he can. If anyone failed, it was the voters not giving him all the support he needed to take our nation back to worthiness for all freedoms we once had.
She said she was happy to endorse president Trump.
What’s wrong with that?
I wish every governor including Democrats would endorse president Trump for president.

Literally bass ackwards. Trump picks them and the Senate has the final say. He could’ve picked 50 MAGA people and Mitch would torpedo them all.
But he didn’t, did he?
And neither did you.
How do we KNOW who President Trump WANTED? He might have been given bad choices by Mitch McConnell and told it was that or nothing? President Trump might not be the ONLY choice but as of now he is hands down the very best choice. Many things can happen between now and the 2024 election. President Trump could come down with a terminal illness and a relatively unknown super MAGA candidate appears with President Trump’s full blessing. Remember, Citizen Trump came out of nowhere and down that escalator back in 2015 and took the Country by storm. President Trump’s ego can be outsized but it is ALWAYS endearing! Some people have large egos and never know it and that makes them aholes. President Trump knows he has a big ego and that is part of his appeal. He’s a great guy.
President Trump picked people with credentials that could do the job and that Mitch would pass.

Who was responsible for Senate confirmations getting through and NOT getting through?
Actually a lot of it was Reince Priebus and by Priebus, I actually mean Paul Ryno. Then McMaster and Gen Kelly did a lot of the picking and telling Trump he only had the two choices A or B. Lesser of two evils. GOP really failed Trump in this regard and it was due to the bush Family, Cheney, Paul Ryan, Karl Rove, McCain, Romney Ronna McDaniel and Mitch China’s Bit ch McConnell all backstabbing the living Bejesus out of Trump every single chance they could

He cannot get the top gun lawyers… the minute a lawyer begins to work with President Trump they are targeted for cancellation, lose their jobs, get their law licenses challenged (revoked).
Then, the lawyers get their phones taken, fisa’d, and maybe even indicted a few times!
PDJT is lead council, and can get legal opinions and advice from the best legal minds there are.

It’s easy to make snap judgements about people and good looking people are usually stamped as being light weights. If President Trump is using them they are probably sharks at heart. The GOPe is not telling President Trump what lawyers to use so I think we can expect good results.
U sideline critics of President Trump remind me of the critics of James Street …… the best quarterback U of Texas ever had……

Kristi Noem’s clearly deeply into her personal appearance. Nothing wrong with that on the surface, but maybe her obsession is with herself–and her ambitions–and not MakingAGA?
She’s a shallow political hack.
I think that applies to Lauren Boebert much more. Everything about her feels too done up and airbrushed. I have nothing against her though just the feeling I get when I see her.
Women do this to attract men which is the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard of. I mean, trying to attract men. Most men won’t give the time of day to a woman who does not have a good shape even when they themselves look no better.

WHERE did that come from? You could be a Martian?
What Noem has done in SD has been mostly pretty good. Still, I get the feeling that she’s a decepticon, and that Trump would be wise to keep her off the ticket.
Yeah, and DeSantis appeared to be doing pretty good in Florida, too.

She totally is a RiNO Decepticon…she is NOT MAGA ascendent and the next VP needs to be as they will be the next MAGA president…this one has zero balls….She folded like a cheap suit when it came to trans in sports…showed she doesn’t have what it takes. The next VP must be hard CORE MAGA. No time for games….
Who is your suggestion? It has to be a living, breathing person who is willing, qualified and viable. It can’t be a hypothetical MAGA entity.
Byron Donalds, Kari Lake, Ken Paxton, Devin Nunes, Anna Paulina Luna, Matt Gaetz….there are countless others….Noem is not MAGA
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes and yes!
No, YES! No, but good A.G., NO, no but in administration, and GOD NO on Gaetz.
There is real hesitation at the thought of Impeaching Joe, knowing what would replace him.
PDJT needs that kind of Insurance, against any effort, by any means of removing him from office.
Only ONE person offers such protection.
Who Dutchman? Liz Cheney?
Why do you think Kari Lake would be any kind of impeachment insurance for Trump? I like her and what’s she’s doing in AZ, but if the swamp decides to remove President Trump, they will do so and then treat Lake like they treated Trump.
They aren’t impeaching Biden because they don’t want Harris. They aren’t impeaching Biden because a bunch of them are complicit or otherwise engaged in the same corrupt activity. They aren’t going to risk exposure by impeaching Biden.
Why not Gaetz ? I missed something ?
Ben Carson … Mike Huckabee
LOL.
No way to both.
Carson would gleefully sign into law any gun control legislation passed by Congress. Huckabee is a very good man but is simply not tough enough.
Byron Donalds would be superb–any of these would do just fine, but Byron is the name that leaves the ballpark.
Good, but a name that leaves the ballpark?
Get real!
A few thoughts – and I truly welcome feedback on this:
1) Historically – throughout politics – the selection of the VP has almost never been about who best aligns with the POTUS’ agenda. We rarely see redundancy between the POTUS and VP in terms of attitude/style/personality. 2020 – Biden is the steady hand, Harris is the upstart. 2016 – Trump is the huge firebrand, Pence is the guiding hand. 2008-2016 – Obama is the mover and shaker, Biden is the steady hand… there is an art to picking VP, and I think a MAGA person would be very misaligned with what we historically see in a VP. I’m not saying I don’t want a MAGA person as VP, I’m saying we have lots of precedent to indicate it will not be.
2) Not one time has a current House member been on a POTUS/VP ticket. Not once. Tons of Governors, lots of former VPs, a handful of Senators, some former Cabinet members… but never a current House member. I think there is a reason for that; I think that people who run Presidential elections figured out long ago that general election voters find House members to either be a) too cartoonish, b) too inexperienced, c) too divisive , d) too damaged or e) some combination of a/b/c/d. I really like all of those names, but it would be a historical first in hundreds of years of politics for Trump to pick one of them.
3) I adore Kari Lake, but she does not have a successful political track record, and CNN/MSNBC/FOX/ABC will be all over her from day 1, calling her an “Election Denier” and “Q-ari Lake” and “The losing candidate in Arizona”… I live in Phoenix, I voted for her, but she’s got some significant damage on a national political level even though she’s a folk hero to us. I would love to see her in Trump’s cabinet – perhaps in the State Department – but I don’t think she can be VP.
We are in unprecedented times. We need murderers across the board.
Hackers would suffice. Lists of off shore accounts.
She won the governor’s office in Arizona. Doesn’t that make her batting percentage 1,000 ? CNN/MSNBC/FOX/ABC can be all over her and she’ll wipe the floor with them. I’m guessing Kari Lake wouldn’t call you a friend or if she did, it would be a fair weather friend.
Don’t feed this troll any more
Trump has only one need and one qualification in a VP, that they not be a backstabber. That and a pulse are the SOLE qualifications. Kari Lake would be fantastic.
Kari is a folk hero to many of us not in her home state
Was not Paul Ryan a member of the House in 2012 when he was on the ticket for Romney’s VP?
Correct.
You said this same shit yesterday…:go away with the I LIKE KARI but….shit
Agree, needs to be someone with at least managerial background, needs to be someone, NO one wants as president like Kamala.
2.) is WRONG. Paul Ryan was concurrently a Congressman when he ran for VP.
NICE LIST !!!!!!
Harriet Hageman??
I like her but I think she would not win any female voters. I tend to think Noem COULD win them over but I am afraid of her …
Untested.
Sarah Palin – a woman who knows the evils of DC and knows how to Govern.
I LIKE it, someone the UNIPARTY has already fought tooth and nail. A known national name and reputation. Palin would not be a back stabber and nobody in the uniparty wants her as POTUS. Plus, she puts a female name on the ticket.
North Carolina Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson.

In that case, its SUNDANCES “talking points” as he has been laying out the reciepts for some time, of WHO Noems financial backers are (Koch bros.)
If you can see that the 2022 midterms were manipulated to steal Az. and Nev. outright, and insure not one true MAGA Candidate won, while padding the victories of RINOS like Kemp and RDS, than its pretty obvious.
Anyone in office, is not Maga.
PDJT needs to look to those candidates that ran with his endorsement in 2022, and lost as THEY are the MAGA he needs in his admin.
Lake as VP, and Mastrianno, DePerno, Majewski, etc. and those who worked on their campaigns are the Warriors that will come in to D.C. motivated to rip the Deep State apart, burn it down, burythe ashes and salt the earth.
Exactly.
I like that you’re talking about a MAGA VP, during an America First primary.
The more you exploit the phony horse-race, the faster they will expose themselves in increasing absurdity.
“This persecution is being done by the same weaponized agencies that for 7 years have been running illegal psychological warfare campaigns against the American people!” – 45
The retribution will continue until orange is established.
Noem also took money from Summit Solutions for her campaign…..the company involved in the newest FAKE CLIMATE CHANGE GRIFT…..they want to bully farmers via imminent domain
I don’t think Lake as VP is ideal. All of the above deserve a place at the table when Trump picks his cabinet.
In the House she voted “aye” on Trade Promotion Authority (the fast track for TPP – https://www.govtrack.us/congress/votes/114-2015/h362). And she was against President Trump’s immigration policies. But sided with Trump on tax policies.
Comes across as MAGA-lite.
Definitely Lite, some important MAGA decisions, some important NON MAGA decisions, look to funding for insight as Sundance has so ardently taught us all.
For the UMPTEENTH TIME…she wanted to close SD DURING COVID . ….her TRULY conservative legislators fought her and won!
Spread this far and wide. Same – same with any Floridian that reminds everyone how long “Top Gov” let his statewide Covid mandates to run.
Exactly
Who do we trust anymore?
The lists of names shrink with each passing day.
Those we were sure were deserving of our trust apparently practice political taqiyya, and the names of those who I’ve drawn a line through is pages long, back and front, double columned.
Now?
I trust no one.
Including Noem.
With single spacing too Bets.
Our lists probably match name for name.
Ah yes…I left that out, Arminius. Single spaced.
Mea culpa.
And again, yes. I very much expect they do, my friend 😎
do explain what has given you that feeling?
something someone else said?
because if you actually look at her record.. it’s perfect, it’s MAGA
She was silent on the steal… nuff said Deb!
I was reminded by Colkitto, one of our most prolific commenters, that at the height of the covid madness and those immoral mandates, she tweeted (paraphrasing) that in South Dakota there were plenty of employers who wouldn’t demand employees make a choice between getting injected with a new untested vaxxxxine or retaining a job needed to support themselves or their families.
If one worked for someone who, despot like, made such a demand, all he or she had to do was quit and look for another job…
A variation on the “Nobody made you take it” trope that is starting to be used by those in power who issued mandates (as New Zealand PM Hipkins actually had the unmitigated gall to state publicly the other day, and as Dr Malone prophesied would happen).
It was that simple to her.
Colkitto reproduced the tweet in his comment.
For me that was a huge tell about her, and it left me with a very queasy feeling…regardless of her accomplishments for her state.
Discernment along with a lot help from Sundance.
Sorry Deborah63.
No it ain’t…
I agree. IMO, Noem is one of the better Governors in the Country, along with RDS. However, they are not POTUS or even VP material. They need to continue their terms , fighting for MAGA principles during this election season.
Meatball is not that good.
Do you live in Florida like several of us and feel the pain of his crap?
Lockdowns, highest homeowner insurance rate gains in the nation, by far; nothing done about voter integrity and the voting machines.
Shall I go on?
No, I don’t live in FL. I live 2000 miles away, in Maine, stuck with Janet Mills as Governor, and a bunch of other left-wingers in office.
At least RDS came out to fight against “wokesters” and also fired a DA who refused to uphold the laws of his State. That is a very good start.
Well, I guess where you’re at, he would be a welcome relief.
But believe me, he is a snake.
Florida went from the best place in the nation, imo, to becoming more messed up under his watch and going further downward.
There are also all kinds of things coming online he manufactured or signed off on that ain’t good.
Appearances are deceiving, especially coming from media sources.
Deep dive Sundance’s past posts mentioning a lot of the problems we’re facing.
Sorry about you being in Maine. I hear it’s beautiful but messed up politically.
Got a neighbor refugee from there that has told me all kinds of horror stories.
Janet Mills is another loser- tried to shut down tourism into state of Maine during the summer that proceeded the bioweapon (the jab).
I must now have flood insurance now in order to have homeowners on 40+ year old mobile home, which for the last 20 years was never in a flood zone. Someone flipped a switch and Zammo! (in the words of Johnny Carson) My Total Insurance Bill would go from $1200 a year to $2400 a year. I am an old woman on a stagnate income. A veteran who lost her veteran husband last year. Two months income out of each year would go to insurance so rich men north of Richmond can have their part time condos remodeled after a hurricane to resemble the layouts of Town & Country.
One of your neighbors (relatively speaking) disagrees with you on FLA election integrity (his name is Dan Bongino).
I guess the big tell will be how the Koch brothers/globalist wing of the RNC reacts to this endorsement. If they jump all in supporting Noem, that would be very worrisome, IMHO, and would be a clear warning sign for Trump not to trust her!
She is to Trump what Jeb! and Ryan are to DeSantis. Cute, though.
Ok, one thing is not wanting her for VP. But for Pete’s sake take the endorsement and anyone she can bring along.
That’s just the point. Trump doesn’t need her endorsement. She is term limited and looking for a gig.
Leading up to her endorsement, she sounded kind of lukewarm. Maybe it’s just me but suspicious cat is, well suspicious.
OMGosh. I thought so too! glad it wasn’t just me…compare her to KL or BD…yeah, she is not what we need…
Who pray tell is “BD?”
Byron Donalds
Thank you, LVM! Byron Donalds was not “top of mind” when I read that post.
Treepers, please remember that not every one of us know who or what you are referencing when you use “initials” or other potentially vague acronyms.
Byron Donalds, I think
I would venture to say Byron Donalds. He would be at the top of my list.
Byron Donald
And I thought the rumor was (awhile back) that she might be desantis’ running mate
Maybe it is a little suspicious, but I agree with Puzzled; take it where you can get it. Besides, an endorsement from her is not an endorsement from him, for VP or anything else.
The picture that keeps springing into my mind is the chiron graphic crawling at the bottom of the screen, watching as more and more endorsements for Trump start coming in. It has a cumulative effect and may influence those who, ahem, may not be as well-informed as the MAGA community. In that way, her endorsement is a positive for me.
I agree
I want the President to treat his next term as a hostile takeover of a bankrupt company. Because that’s what it is. No more playing nice with enemies. We need a focused team that is used to conflict and has the stones to do what has to be done. She ain’t it. She will roll over when the going gets rough, which it damn sure is going to be. Business turnaround types. Tough, smart, ruthless people. It is the only way. And it will probably be the last real chance.
You nailed it. Trump has to go scorched earth in his 2nd term. Take no prisoners.
we citizens need to start taking no prisoners
Yes, this is our country and we will have to defend it appears.
🚩
God bless President Trump and keep him safe.
May he return this country to being strong, forthright, honest and Godly.
Please protect him and deliver him to victory.
The reset in strategy by the big club. Desantis won’t deliver and Trump is likely going to be the nominee so get an agent of the agenda into Trumps circle at the whitehouse….just like before.
What are we to do with MOST women in the GOP who gripe about trump and want Nicky Hailey? I have 2 college educated females in my family like this.
MOST women? Ha! That’s too funny.
I know a lot of people in rural Minnesota…A LOT… almost all are Trump supporters whether it is man or woman.
Ask your family females to state the case, without bringing up Trump, why someone should support Haley.
I’ll wait.
Nobody is rooting for Nikki as POTUS. This is a creation of Ronna and the rest of the RNC. Nikki is going nowhere in this race.
GOP women, at this state of the game, should now the GOP is the enemy or they are lost causes. If they want N. Hailey, they are lost causes. There is nothing we can do about them.
No on Noem.
Elevate Peter Navarro into the mainstream discussion.
Navarro would make an excellent AG.
Ken Paxton
Respectfully, you’re dreaming. Everyone from his original term/admin who has come to disgrace in some way is a complete non-starter; it’s political suicide.
I call bull shit.
I do too.
If the Senate refuses Trump’s nominees, Trump should just refuse to delegate authority. Then slow-roll agency funding and starve the beast.
He is going to do what he did with one of his appointments. He called them “interim” and just had them do the job . Screw the Senate confirmations (no thanks Mitch). I can’t remember which one…but they served about 6 months before the end of his presidency and never got “confirmed”. Screw that confirmation stuff…. Mitch will have no hold on PDJT this time…he has wizened up for sure…
As it stands now, Schumer will be running Senate confirmations; McConnell – or Thune – can’t do anything about that.
A Democrat controlled senate will no doubt slow walk Trump’s nominations by invoking their “30 hours of debate rule” for every nomination.
Perhaps someone already said it, the man was Ric Grenell.
Who was awesome everywhere he went.
What happened to czars? If they won’t confirm them in the senate, make them a czar and move on.
No. If you haven’t been alert to it, “politics” is defunct in this instance; therefore political suicide is a meaningless term in regard to Trump.
There is no “political” maneuver available to Trump, because all avenues are blockaded by the vested interests. So, Trump could team up with a major religious deity incarnate, and he would still be hounded.
Bringing it back to relevancy, if Trump ever gets into office, he needs a firmly grounded Type A personality to be his right hand man and successor. No politician of any stripe meets that bar.
Navarro, on the other hand, has been through one administration as a senior party. He is now fighting a conviction over BS circumstances related to his loyalty to the office of the president, in this case Trump. There is no higher test of loyalty and steadfastness than what Navarro has demonstrated.
He has the personality, he has the temperament, he has the knowledge, he has the motivation. Give him the office.
Navarro is Awesome!! Keep him on the economic side… He is a Trump loyalist.. He will go to jail before he wold ever say anything to betray Trump.
You have a better solution or candidate?
Rick Grennell?
Dude….get another gig ok??
She’s too close to Thune. That’s why I don’t trust her. However, she’s a lot easier on the eyes than any woman democrat.
She is inauthentic. So is every politician after listening to Trump.
As a good friend to a Trumper who is a relative to a relative of Noem (sorry, I can’t be more specific), he, my Trump supporting friend is not a big fan of KN.
sounds like my mother with her doctor
“I don’t think he is a very good doctor”
Well, then we should start looking for another doctor
“Oh, but he is so good looking”
^^^^^^^
And thus, McConnell.
Politically speaking… nothing wrong with getting an inside track on a decision that won’t be made until sometime next year.
……. and if Noem’s posturing now takes the winds out of Nikki’s sails for the future …. well so be it 😉
The RNC is pushing for Nikki presently. They know that Nikki will do as told by them. FNH, she is not MAGA and not a true conservative, either. She’s a war hawk, loyal to the MIC and the Uniparty.
F the RNC and Nikki and all the Globalists.
Our president will accept the endorsement and move on.
Good governors don’t always make for good executives outside of their state mansions.
Got a feeling someone’s already learned that lesson.
At least I hope so.
Gov. Reagan did pretty well
….that’s precisely why I said don’t ‘always’ make….”
Damn, read the comment.
(And, I voted for RR twice).
Don’t get your panties in a wad.
Well, looks like you read the comment. Good for you.
Re: Don’t get your panties in a wad
I find it amusing to see someone who is getting their own panties in a wad tell someone else not to do so…
Corey Lewandowksi –> snake AND SELF-SERVING
Gov. Noem –?
https://www.nps.gov/jeca/learn/nature/prairie-rattlesnake.htm
Corey was a great Trump supporter. However, the LSM knee-capped him, early on, asking him if he “ever lied” on TV. Corey, being an honest person, said that yes, he has lied in the past.
Then the LSM crippled him. This was early on in Trump’s Presidency; a time where the LSM was raging against Trump and calling him a “Russian Colluder.”
She is no good! Not one redeeming feature! She is the plague! I know this because many commenters here have said so.
She is Mike Pence’s in drag. In fact she may be Mike Pence. Has anyone seen the two of them together?
Trump must reject her endorcemen and tell her to endorce someone else and the sooner the better before she Pences him in the back.
Corey was always very loyal to President Trump and I never understood why he was unceremoniously sacked after winning the Republican Nomination.
The LSM on TV (I thnink it was CNN) got him to admit that yes, he has told “lies” in the past. (Like all politicians do – not lies, but embellishing, etc). Corey unfortunately was not strong enough or felt he had no real significant supporters after the LSM crucufied him for that truthful admission, and he opted out.
South Dakota is multinational corporation and high net wealth haven. Ease of incorporation, favorable tax laws and high secrecy protections. More large corporation HQ’s than any other state, save one: Delaware.
https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2021/10/south-dakota-tax-haven
What state did Biden represent for a half century? Follow. The. Money. SD governors are selected by that money. Not the people.
Noem is insurance. Like Pence to Trump. Like GHWB to Reagan. Who would have become president if the Gipper didn’t duck. Insurance.
We are soon to have that asshole Mike Rounds foisted upon us …..SPIT
I recall that MBNA moved from Delaware to South Dakota.
A few things:
1) Trump is going to have to decide: Does he want to run a pure MAGA VP candidate? Or does he want to run the person who he thinks gives him the best chance to win in 2024? Because it is very, very unlikely that those are the same person.
2) Both Trump and Noem are likely doing this dalliance to see how the mere suggestion of a Trump/Noem ticket manifests in the polls in coming weeks.
3) If Trump *wants to win* in 2024, Noem is a very smart pick IMO, as Governors do extremely well in POTUS/VP elections… much, much better than Senators, House members and private citizens. I’m not saying I *want* her as VP, I’m saying politically, it’s wise.
VP will come from a state that he needs to win. Kristi is not in one of those states. She needs to primary Thune if he is up next year,if not still could be in Trumps cabinet.
#1) Is the conventional political wisdom, that no longer applies, if it ever did.
The notion is to unite the warring factions of the party, heal the wounds from the primary, in order to defeat the oppposition party (in this case, the Dems) in the General.
However, thats bullshite and we all know it. The RNC does NOT want to work with, align with or associate with MAGA, in any way, shape or form and has already demonstrated they are perfectly happy engaging with Democrats in massive election fraud to install a horrible D as POTUS (Probably the WORST in history) just to prevent MAGA PDJT from serving a second term.
“Unite the party”? F no. Purge the party, onceand for all of all RINOS.
SO NO, picking a RINO to improve chances of winning? You are insane, Matt.
Preach it, brother.
Yes he is…..
NO, IT’S NOT.
Respectfully disagree. Of course Trump wants to win but he doesn’t NEED Noem to do so. In fact, many might think he made the decision based on looks – which would not reflect well on him.
Kinda like being a little bit pregnant
Sarah Palin is the ticket. She’s trustworthy and a true mama bear!
randyinrocklin: I find Sarah Palin to be authentic, even in her private life, which some people find uncouth. Noem has built an establishment image that detracts from her authenticity.
As for President Trump, he is 100% authentic. I have followed him since his “youthful days” in New York City. He has always been the same man. Always.
Harriet Hageman is not beautiful until she speaks. She is the ticket, imo, if Trump wants a woman as his VP.
lindak: Interesting suggestion.
Great point. She would be acceptable and your point about her speaking skills are on the money.
here we go again….dancing with the stars, book deals, reality tv shows
please, let’s not go there again
Amjean: President Trump also has exactly those credentials (replace Dancing with the Stars with wrestling; both are successful and popular entertainment.) This is where Sarah Palin is, unfortunately, misjudged. Her “tastes” don’t suit the establisment image, and she is pilloried for this.
IMO, Palin has too much baggage to be the VP nominee. Baggage from the 2012 McCain POTUS run, then personal issues. I’m not saying all the negative press she has received regarding her personal life was appropriate, but it did happen. For years.
Perhaps she would make a great addition in Trump’s Cabinet.
rita pappas: You just described President Trump. The “baggage” with which Sarah Palin was/is burdened is baggage placed upon her by an establishment that simply could not accept someone who is not “in the club.”
I am not saying the Sarah Palin should be the VP selection. I just want to point out how she is judged differently than President Trump, despite having the same type of “unacceptable” background that the establishment despises. In my view, Sarah Palin’s character is far better aligned with President Trump’s character, than is Governor Noem’s character.
Video has been removed by the uploader.
Anyone else have it?
She was going to shutdown/lockdown SD until the state legislature stepped up and stopped her in her tracks. Johnny Maga’s tweet is “sleight – of – hand”.
I hope he ignores my beloved Steve Bannon’s wet dream of RFK Jr as VP. I hope he picks someone like Josh Hawley. Byron Donald would look good next to him too. Trump would need to move out of FL in that case. Devin Nunez would be an interesting pick too.
No on Jr. Josh Hawley,….HELL NO.
And no on Byron, as well.
Nope, not Devin, either.
what do you think of Elise Stefanik??
Her script is to say good things that conservatives want to hear. She’s window dressing for the Uniparty.
99% of Congressional members are actors and unfit for the VP.
No!!!
Is anyone considering Alabama Senator Tommy Tuberville as a possible Veep?
I like it.
Now, we’re just getting silly.
As an Alabamian myself, I could not agree with you more!
I dont care who President Trump picks for a V.P.- there I said it. I’ll worry about that after he’s reelected which I’m still not convinced there even will be an election.Lucifers Children have something big up thire sleeves… real big.
I agree. The VP is not going to matter until his next four years are over. They can’t pull that same stunt again.
The VP will essentially be his hand-picked successor.
What about JD Vance as VP
I expected her to say “here, in the free State of Flor,…er South Dakota” as so much of her speach sounds just like an RDS Speech, prior to his reelection.
Remember how much RDS touted the growth of the population, and economy, and how he fought back against Covid, etc.
Granted, Noems voice is deeper and less whiny than Rons, but substantively, its the SAME SPEECH.
Lewandowski and zipper problems, huh? LOL 😭
Probably half the male population has had that problem somewhere in their lives.
Can’t cast stones on that one.
But it is very suspect that he is speaking to Trump about Noem before meeting with Noem.
Don’t know what to think about this, but I sure don’t trust Noem.
Lewandowski – fool or traitor?
Time will tell.
Lewandowski – IMO, he was neither a fool nor a traitor. He was a naive young man back in 2015, 2016, who caved to the DS’s attacks on him.
Even Jimmy Carter would have had “lust in his heart” around Hope.
It’s almost becoming a litmus test for America First candidates to be hated by the legacy ‘press’. If a candidate isn’t hated by the press, can the American people really trust them?
Look at the way Trump, Palin, or Lake were / are treated with revulsion and disdain by CNN, MSNBC, et al.
I see no such level of vitriol towards Noem.
Is the ‘media’ gnashing their teeth, clutching their pearls, lunging for the fainting couch, or reaching for the smelling salts? Then they are probably part of the Uniparty or are controlled opposition. Or both.
Perhaps, therein lies the ‘tell’; it’s who the media *doesn’t* hate that we should be wary of.
Very astute – Yes similar to the Sherlock Holmes case “the dog that didn’t bark”/ “the MSM staying quiet about Noem” – In the Holmes story – the dog didn’t bark at the intruder Because it recognized him as its master ( the guilty party in the story) / Here the MSM didn’t bark, or even growl a bit, about Noem or her PDJT endorsement (?) Because they are in on the “backup plan” ( Reference to SD post about Uniparty having a plan in case PDJT wins in 2024 – think Reagan and his CIA. Curated VP -George H.W Bush )
chinstrap: I agree, 100%. Noem is acceptable to the club.
Very well stated and exactly right.
Does it really matter who is on the ticket? I would love to see DJT win but the democrats cheated their way in three years ago and I haven’t seen or read anything that makes me believe 2024 will be any different.
She’s great for SD compared to the other options we have here. When we have waaay to many stupid republicans that vote for rinos, you know SD has a problem.
We had 2 maga’s primarying thune and johnson but they got zero press, you know SD has a problem.
When our 2 senators and one weasel rep dont show for the rally, but a senator from Montana will, you know SD has a problem.
Trump must pick a non-politician like a former military man that will take no shit. MacGregor or Flynn would be fine.
When the majority of people boooooooed thune, rounds and johnson but some wondered whyyYYyyy, you know SD has a problem.
My state is awesome and very red, but when these types can be elected, you know SD has a problem.
Yes , the Corey angle? don’t know what to make of that , but I hope Corey doesn’t lobby for her – 2 observations about Noem – 1) had no idea of her age , and I see she is 51 years old and 2) I don’t usually comment on looks /style whatever – but she has way too much /too long hair – ( extension things? ) – looks like she is getting ready to sing Puccini’s La Tosca opera or something – ( and I hope Corey doesn’t get caught up in that hair …)
“and 2) I don’t usually comment on looks /style whatever”
Sure you don’t.
Well , what do YOU think of her hair ? BTW what time zone are you in?
She’s awesome. Fully support her as VP if he picks her. She is a true Constitutionalist.
Plastic face Barbie waited to see which way the wind blew. Has she said the election was stolen?
Kari Lake has, she also has been with Trump from the beginning, she didn’t hang around to see which direction 2024 was headed.
Trump/Lake 2024
Younkin, governor of Virginia. Term limited, huge parents rights advocate, raised tons of money for state election , cut state taxes, increased state revenue. And if he’s able to secure the state senate this November and swing the state back to GOP he’s on the short list. Plus he has very capable AG and Lt Governor who happens to be black.
Virginia = non-starter
Not even on the longlist.
However, if he endorses Trump today and decries Lawfare, he can receive a bit of Trump schmooze, as Noem will. Trump doesn’t need them, and I think he knows that. He’s going to win any honest election, against anybody.
We’re talking about a VP. He’s gonna need a VP….
Not either of them though.
Her arms are weird-looking. Like she works out the deltoids and biceps too much, and the rest of her arm is feminin. It doesn’t look farm-girl natural.
Anyway, if Trump is going to choose a woman as his VP, it has to be Kari Lake.
Kristi and Kimberly should compete to see who has the best old hag hairdo.
They look so weighted down it would be impossible to get up out of a chair.
Forgive my mood tonight.
Got to admit, she can talk the talk.
The President can find the goods in any situation. The fake conservative, lukewarm at best,Noem has her uses but can’t be relied upon when the going gets tough. Her sketchy track record proves it.
Trump knows the game
Trump-Kennedy 2024.
You know that ‘could’ be totally wild and very, very fun. The art of the deal. (between them) And let the political house of cards fall. It won’t ever happen but …. it could make for a crazy and productive 4 years
I pray for this scenario. Like Lincoln’s team of rivals. I judge candidates by who their enemies are and ignore party. Trump and RFK Jr have the exact same enemies
Way too early to think about VP’s. That’s 8 months from now. Lots will happen. The Uniparty plants like Noem will have to battle Lawfare, or they can forget it. Even then, we all know they’d be plants, so they’re out.
A MAGA VP is a necessity, or the Uniparty will remove a victorious Trump. They won’t delay. They will get reliable Uniparty elected to Congress, and go for it by 2nd quarter 2025. Lawfare will get a conviction somewhere, for something, and the Uniparty will do their paymasters’ bidding in Congress, and defy the voters’ will.
The Uniparty has a phased strategy to destroy Trump. Phase I has failed miserably. Lawfare is Phase II, and they won’t relent. There are trillions at stake. The VP is Trump’s only insurance policy here.
No offense Sundance but when President DJT pulled off that monumental upset in 2016, aside from the hardcore Brietbart crew of Bannon, Peter Navarro and Sebastian Gorka, who were prominent all over the alphabet news channels in his first six months as President until his daughter and skinny arsed son in law colluded with John Kelly and got them booted except for Navarro, he basically was dealing with the Swamp which included most of the Congressional Republican leadership to give advice and consent on Official picks to the prominent positions!!! Pres DJT finally got things right in early 2019 when he figured out who was seemingly loyal and who wasn’t!!! I love the fact that Peter Navarro basically tried to bring the Chicoms to their knees with his trade policies and negotiations and the absolute resolute manner in which the Immigration Issue was handled with the Stay in Mexico and deportation policies (despite the fact McConnell and Ryan stabbed him in the back and thwarted the attempts to build a wall from California to Texas!!! I have seen some of the people who will probably be a big part of the next Trump Administration in January 2025 who have appeared on Bannons War Room (Guys and gals like Russ Vought, Jeff Clark, Kash Patel, Devin Nunes, Frank Gaffney, Dave Walsh, EJ Antoni, Caroline Leavitt, Christina Bobb etc…) and feel that it will be MUCH DIFFERENT THAN HIS FIRST TERM!!! 🤔
Bannon is an active alcoholic, and unsuited for executive government, or any executive work. He’s celebrity media solely. So’s Gorka, plus he’s a neocon war-forever globalist. I doubt Trump saw much value in either in the WH. I didn’t. Trump tagged him as “Sloppy Steve”, which spoke volumes. They can have value on the outside, like Noem, but not on the inside.
Noem can bring the Establishment vote and unite the party for the General. I thought Reynolds would be a better pick for VP, but she is totally in the tank for DeeSantis and no longer viable. I think Trump will follow the 2016 playbook by picking an Establishment VP to unite the party and give the Establishment hope they can take the WH in 2028.
The Uniparty is already united, to destroy Trump, and that’s who Trump is running against. Noem is united with them. She serves no purpose for him.
Noem is RINO through and Through.
We don’t want to unite with the establishment. If we ever do we will deserve or place in the dustbin of history along side them.
The establishment is a worse enemy than the horrible democrats.
Who said we need a woman.?
Lake may be okay but we don’t know for sure.
All of the rest are compromised.
Why can’t we move on?
Just like the banner they rolled out in Yankee Stadium the other night. For me and many Treepers, it is simply that. Trump or Death. Anytime I see some establishment politician saddling up to him I know they are Judas in disguise. Kari Lake is the only viable badass I can see as a great VP. Even though she’s never held office. She’s beholden to no one like Trump. That’s perfect for me. AMERICA FIRST. Full stop!!!🇺🇸🇺🇸
It’s a shame she’s a plant because look at those shoulders on her she could out arm wrestle most Republican men
If she turns her back on all the things she said tonight and betrays DJT as Pence did, there will be a place in hell waiting for her, and she can join the party of all the others who will, or have already arrived, be there to greet her. You could tell this was planned with all the preprinted signs “Trump Noem” in the audience. If she undermines the pitch she made, a the behest of her benefactors, it proves that the Republican party is the house of lies, just like their counterpart!
It seems obvious – the deal maker is at work.
Great endorsement speech. Some of her own accomplishments as Governor of South Dakota include no COVID lockdowns, tax cuts, no trans in girl sports, the strongest economy in the nation, implemented medical marijuana program, high speed internet statewide, successful meth awareness campaign, improved mental health options, no critical race theory in schools, modernized the South Dakota correctional system which included a 38% pay increase for correctional officers, and right to life.
All I see on this thread are misogynistic comments from insecure men with fragile egos. Men have been in charge for centuries so you only have yourselves to thank for the way things are.
METH……we’re on it……
Ya…..real successful campaign…../s
I’m very, very pleased to hear that Corey Lewandowski is back in the fold.
Oh goodness, I just don’t trust her.
I’d rather have Sarah Palin.
