The guy was under government surveillance for weeks/months and goes to church every Sunday. Yet, the braintrust making decisions felt the need to battery ram his front door and, when that didn’t work, they drove a fortified vehicle through his front window.

I’m a man; so some feelings confound me. There are some words that are “too full for sound or foam”.
They are ripped from the undertow of life, and I rarely use them.
So thinking of such thoughts, or having such a word arise to the surface of my consciousness is startling. To even think that I love those I’ve never met is jolting. Yet this word has anchored in my mind when reading these posts and comments from our host and the patriots here on this website, engaged in the struggle for our mutual liberty.
You are a remarkable people and I am the better for knowing of your commitment to our country and more so because of your courage and valor. No other word comes to my mind which better describes my affection or respect. I feel honored and blessed to be part of this community.
I am thankful that I am yet free to express these thoughts.
I gratefully ask God for his blessings to protect, preserve and restore our constitution.

The mausoleum hall where my mother sleeps has a floor to ceiling stained glass of a sailing ship at sea. At the bottom is a ribbon that says Crossing the Bar.

Gramadeb, if it’s not entirely apparent from the poem, I think “crossing the bar” is a seafaring phrase. If you already know this, it can be for benefit of others.
In many seaside towns there’ll be a river emptying into the sea
Across the mouth of the river, there’s often a sandbar that’s built up across the rivermouth by wave action on sand that’s deposited
For fisherman to go out fishing, they’ve got to cross that submerged sandbar that’s typically shallow and has waves breaking on it
So ‘crossing the bar’ I think refers to ‘crossing the sandbar’ on the way out to sea
I crossed the bar on a surf trip in west Java, in Indonesia.
We loaded our packs and surfboards into a large Javanese motorboat at a dock in a river and set out for a remote jungle surf camp about 2 miles down the coast
There was indeed a rivermouth sandbar and surf was indeed breaking on it (whitewater). But our boat captain knew his job and motored straight into and over the surf, with our bow lifting and slamming back down.
A couple waves later we were in flat water and heading down the surf to our destination.

I am familiar with sand bars, many than can crossed only at high tide. I love your story of jungle surfing in Java. What adventures you’ve had. I was a beach girl in the 60s but never learned to board surf, body surfing only. Then I graduated high school and joined the Army and no more hangin out at the beach. LOL

We published that poem by Tennyson in the paper for my Dad as his obituary. He was speaking of “crossing the bar” in the hospital before he died.
We wanted to write about his life but my mom suggested just the poem would be best .

But the complaint system, investigated license renewal, did keep opinions/propaganda hidden.

And viewers have a say as well. Real News doesn’t get eyeballs. But opinion shows lead the market. This of course leads to ‘news’ becoming more opinionated.
As far back as WW2, they were slanting the news as the NY Times refused to report on the Holocaust.
I have seen all my adult life from the 1980s until now a strong leftward bias with the news.
That said, the news media went completely off the rails after 2003 when W invaded Iraq. Most Dems supported going into Iraq, but by the presidential campaign of 2004 they had done an about face and were demonizing Bush. Dems were making plays with Bush being killed. The news on ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, and CNN became unwatchable at that time. I recall watching David Bloom on MSNBC in 2003 who died of a pulmonary embolism that year, but by 2004 I could no longer filter through the propaganda and had to find other news sources.
Fox was all that was left, but that became unwatchable to me in November of 2020. The corporate media are all owned by the same small clan.
Rush used to post montages of news talking heads repeating the same exact words. This started in the 90s if I recall correctly. This goes to show that the news media are completely vacuous, unintellectual, propaganda factories filled with unintelligent Barbis and Ken dolls. We have had a Mockingbird media for many decades. (See Operation Mockingbird.) Such media are beneath anyone having a brain, and that goes for Fox too.
The intelligence community control of the media has gone too far, especially after Obama made it legal for them to lie to the American people and propagandize us. That was also an important turning point. There is almost no truth left in the news media. Don’t fill your head with any of it.

I was stunned at the way the media attacked Bush 43 incessantly. This became more stark with their messianic treatment of obama. I think the press has always slanted their reporting to get people to pay attention to them. But in our era, the news became more and more propagandized I think, starting in the 60s-70s. It has become much more opinion led as we have progressed into the 21 century. Obama terms really saw a major change to blatant national enquirer levels of telling the stories in the msm, although going back to the Clinton years and his troubles the press was not hiding their lean to the left.
24/7 cable news was the accelerant and CNN was the leader in the changing of the news focus from straight up reporting to opinion news led by their hosts and reporters like Geraldo. JUST IN: CBS News corespondent Catherine Herridge suggests Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed Delaware US Attorney David Weiss as special counsel to protect the Biden family by blocking Weiss from testifying.
Once the DOJ realized they wouldn’t be able to push Hunter Biden’s sweetheart deal through the finish line, the DOJ quickly sprung into action.
As suggested by Herridge, Weiss was appointed to “delay a resolution on the Hunter Biden matter” and to also stop Weiss from testifying before Congress.

Key point Hawaii Governor and commission must clarify within a day or 2:

This is not the first time Garland has perpetrated this make-believe. In January 2023, Garland pretended to appoint Robert K. Hur as “Special Counsel” in connection with the Biden classified documents investigation.
(Arguments can be made that Jack Smith and before him John Durham also were not Special Counsels, but this is not as clear-cut and I don’t want to get off into a tangent here.)
I’m not sure why Garland keeps perpetrating this HOAX. (I must assume he is not stupid or incompetent.)
To keep the ignorami media contented and posture as neutral himself? To facilitate the funding of additional money, staffs, and/or powers to these individuals? To put a veneer of “ongoing” “neutral” investigation on certain issues, thereby shielding the investigation and/or the “Special Counsel” and staff from having to answer oversight questions or be subject to impeachment?
In the law, there is a concept called “void ab initio”. Something that is void from the beginning, and therefore is of no force or effect. The concept differs from “voidable” which requires an after-the-fact court determination that it was erroneous or wrong, but until that determination, the erroneous matter/contract/appointment/whatever “exists”. That is not the case with something that is “void ab initio”.
The Special Counsel statute REQUIRES among other things that an appointment be of a neutral lawyer who is not in the government.
I submit that everything — EVERYTHING — that a fake Special Counsel demands, whether a subpoena, or deposition, or ability to not answer Congressional questions, or obtain funding, or hire staff, or get paid himself — everything — can be IGNORED, and the individual’s pretend authority be IGNORED.
Moreover, by accepting the VOID fraudulent position that only can be held by a lawyer who came from OUTSIDE the government, and given that any lawyer purporting to accept a position as “Special Counsel” should, at a minimum, be held to know the law, that person effectively or “constructively” also has resigned and foregone any continuing or further pay or benefits as an employee of the United States government.
VOID AB INITIO.
Not “wrong”. Not “misguided”. Not “able to be contested”. Not “subject to interesting media punditry babbling and contemplating.
But NONEXISTENT. Void. Meaningless.

Speaking to Garland and him doing this with Weiss who does not fit into the proper designation as you state for a special counsel appointment, we have to assume Garland knows all of this legal definition too. So why did he do this? Why aren’t the Trump lawyers immediately protesting this with the very legal reasons you just stated? Why isn’t someone in Congress bringing that up too? We have to deduce that Garland does not care if he’s doing something against the stated rules. He is the legal power now and he just has no worries if anyone brings this explanation up.
Maybe this all will change this week and your very thorough, straight forward legal explanation will be brought up by Trump’s legal team and by Congress. So far the words out of the republicans is that this is being used to cover up for the Biden family and prevent Weiss from testifying to congress as he’s been asked to. No one has mentioned this whole thing is void ab initio. They should be mentioning it.

Ramaswamy’s parent company (Roivant) spent $5 million (a tiny amount, by biotech standards) buying the rights to a drug candidate for Alzheimer’s disease from GSK, plc (the former GlaxoSmithKline) that had failed four out of four clinical trials, and formed a subsidiary company around it called Axovant.
2. Ramaswamy’s mother (a physician) took one of the failed clinical trials and reinterpreted it, by eliminating patients who didn’t stay with the trial (because of side effects, the drug not working, or whatever), claiming there was some statistical benefit to the drug.
3. Ramaswamy brought Axovant public, raising $362 million in its IPO, for a drug Paffrath claims Ramaswamy knew would fail its stage three clinical trial.
4. The drug failed, and Axovant (now called Sio Gene Therapies) is down 99.75% from its IPO.

US special counsel Jack Smith has announced that the US plans to drag Trump before court after court starting January 2 2024. At least 3 major indictments (will be a dozen), likely many more, and at my last count, 82 charges (it’s impossible to keep up). Smith can then finger pick any of these charges to put Trump in custody, whenever he feels like it. The judges are almost all “blue”, and so are the jury pools: New York and DC. And this is while he’s supposed to be campaigning!
And also: Trump allegedly already spent $40 million on legal expenses. But what if Trump doesn’t have $40 million? We could argue the $40 million should be spent on his campaign. Look at Imran Khan, guys, who was just convicted to a 3-year prison term in Pakistan on US directives. Like Trump, he is the most popular political candidate in his nation, and they got him on selling necklaces when he was PM.
That is Trump’s future too.
And hence, the end of American democracy. A great deal of empirical research speaks to the policy influence of one or another set of actors, but until recently it has not been possible to test these contrasting theoretical predictions against each other within a single statistical model. We report on an effort to do so, using a unique data set that includes measures of the key variables for 1,779 policy issues.
Multivariate analysis indicates that economic elites and organized groups representing business interests have substantial independent impacts on U.S. government policy, while average citizens and mass-based interest groups have little or no independent influence. The results provide substantial support for theories of Economic-Elite Domination and for theories of Biased Pluralism, but not for theories of Majoritarian Electoral Democracy or Majoritarian Pluralism.
In the United States, our findings indicate, the majority does not rule—at least not in the causal sense of actually determining policy outcomes.
When a majority of citizens disagrees with economic elites or with organized interests, they generally lose. Moreover, because of the strong status quo bias built into the U.S. political system [that describes the overwhelming influence of the administrative state and lobbyists – W], even when fairly large majorities of Americans favor policy change, they generally do not get it.
To be sure, this does not mean that ordinary citizens always lose out; they fairly often get the policies they favor, but only because those policies happen also to be preferred by the economically-elite citizens who wield the actual influence.

I certainly hope PDJT’s lawyers are on top of the recusal issue – that quote from her sentencing judgment from last October of a J6 protester ( referenced in yesterday’s thread on crypto guy bail revocation ) is so telling about her prejudged /set in stone feelings.
Essentially , she views Trumpism as a cult and Trump supporters as members of a cult , which is ‘ a threat to the country and democracy “ While she can dispense due justice to the cult members , she observes that they have “blind loyalty” to ONE person (the leader of the Cult – unnamed, hmmm /?/ )—“who , by the way , remains free, to this day “…. Hmmm , Ok ( unsaid? -… and unpunished ?) Pretty strong/harsh words back then relating to that ONE person who ,coincidentally, is now before her court ??
A 40% idiocracy… or maybe 85% since I think the US is doomed no matter who is elected. Trump will merely slow it down.

A Rasmussen poll revealed that a large portion of voters believe the United States is doomed if their presidential candidate of choice loses in 2024.
Per the poll, 40% of likely US voters agree with the statement, “Joe Biden must be re-elected president next year, or the United States is doomed,” which includes 25% who strongly agree. 53% are in disagreement, which includes 43% who strongly disagree.
45% agree with the statement, “Donald Trump must be re-elected president next year or the United States is doomed,” which includes 26% who strongly agree. 53% disagree, which includes 44% who strongly disagree.
67% of Democrat voters at least somewhat agree that America is doomed should Biden not be re-elected in 2024. By contrast, 61% of Republicans at least somewhat agree that the US is doomed if Trump doesn’t win in 2024. 45% of independent voters at least somewhat agree the US is doomed if Trump doesn’t win, compared to 25% who share the same sentiment about Biden.
24% of voters strongly disagree with both the Biden doomsday and Trump doomsday statements.
Half the country doesn’t know this happened. Many who do believe he was a danger. We are Screwed as a country

The World Health Organization’s broad definition of health embraces physical, mental and social well-being. Expressed in its 1946 constitution alongside concepts of community participation and national sovereignty, it reflected an understanding of a world emerging from centuries of colonialist oppression and the public health industry’s shameful facilitation of fascism. Health policy would be people-centered, closely tied to human rights and self-determination.
The COVID-19 response has demonstrated how these ideals have been undone. Decades of increasing funding within public-private partnerships have corroded the basis of global public health. The COVID-19 response, intended for a virus that overwhelmingly targeted the elderly, ignored norms of epidemic management and human rights to institute a regime of suppression, censorship, and coercion reminiscent of the power systems and governance that were previously condemned.
Without pausing to examine the costs, the public health industry is developing international instruments and processes that will entrench these destructive practices in international law. Public health, presented as a series of health emergencies, is being used once again to facilitate a fascist approach to societal management.
The beneficiaries will be the corporations and investors whom the COVID-19 response served well. Human rights and individual freedom, as under previous fascist regimes, will lose. The public health industry must urgently awaken to the changing world in which it works, if it is to adopt a role in saving public health rather than contributing to its degradation.

Actually, if a State Governor issues a Declaratoon of Invasion, and then actually USES it, as more than a photo-op, (Abbott) such Declaration grants the Governor powers normally prohibited to the State, among them the authority to negotiate agreements with other countries, to impose tonnage fees (tariffs on goods coming into the State) enter into interstate compacts with other States, and form a standing army and navy, all in order to repel the invasion.
Hence, Abbott having made a Declaration, COULD threaten Mexico with a 25% tariff on ALL goods coming into Texas from Mexico, unless mexico brings back the Mexican army.
That IS “negotiating” with a foreign country.
Nor do a UNIPARTY Senate and a #FakePresident have a Right to Ratify a Treaty that repeals the Bill of Rights.
