The New York Times has an article written yesterday noting how the DeSantis team has a special agreement with the RNC, via WinRed, to hide the small donor contributions to their campaign.
Knowing how the Big Club operates within the private corporation known as the RNC, and with small donor contributions being a debate qualification, it makes you wonder if this “special RNC agreement” with the DeSantis team might carry a motive to ensure a debate hurdle is overcome.
(New York Times) – When WinRed, the company that processes nearly all online Republican campaign contributions, recently released its enormous trove of donor data for the first half of the year, donations were conspicuously absent for one presidential candidate: Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida.
It was no technical glitch. The DeSantis campaign worked with WinRed in a way that prevented the disclosure of donor information, ensuring that the campaign’s small donors would remain anonymous, according to a person familiar with the campaign.
The arrangement appears to be the first of its kind for a presidential campaign since WinRed’s founding four years ago and could presage a return to an era in which far less information on small donors is made public, at least for Republicans.
Representatives for Mr. DeSantis declined to describe details of the arrangement.

Knowing with absolute certainty that everything surrounding the campaign of Ron DeSantis is manufactured, fake, Astroturf and artificial, I would strongly suggest the special arrangement between the RNC and DeSantis is motivated by their joint goal to remove MAGA from the organization.

It’s my understanding that the two parties have something of a monopoly on many states’ ballots, such that it becomes nearly impossible to even show up on the ballot without being the nominee of either party.
That means we either take over the party from within, or we clear the way by making changes within each state’s ballot & election laws–which will be a challenge as almost every state legislator and commission chairman is going to be a member of (and owe their position to) the Republican or Democratic party.
So if you read of a plan that seems doable to circumvent those roadblocks, please post its link.

A couple of things spring to mind. 1) RdS has abominably few small donors, and 2) PDJT should demand meatball’s statistics be published, just as everyone else’s. Failing that, PDJT needs to find another donation processor.

We started sending donations with snail mail. At first I thought the mail was sabotaging my check but after 2 months it finally cleared. So winRed isn’t plaguing me every minute now.
Those who repeatedly were cautious regarding WINRED seem to have been correct. They are not just a credit card clearing process.
Send donations DIRECT to the candidate.
I don’t have any inside info on this but my guess is that what makes Winred valuable to the RNC are the additional fec reporting and statistics, which are also available to the campaigns. The fee Winred charges is well in line with every other credit card processor.
It seems to me, and I could be wrong, that sending a check directly to a candidate is extra time and processing that must be done by the campaign for fec compliance and reporting.

The moves here are likely two-fold, avoid sunlight on how few suspicious characters are donating as they generate enough numbers to qualify for the debate stage, and add enough donors to open the door to moving greater sums from their large accounts where it’s locked up by virtue of too few donors to use as a mask to where the money is coming from.
And to avoid James O’Keefe of course! Can you imagine an expose of him asking hundreds of folks if they maxed out to Meatball last week? “What? I haven’t given him a penny in years!”
