The professional Republican apparatus, which includes the RNC and Iowa RNC affiliate, are working against the interests of the working class voters; in fact, they hate us. As a result, it does not come as a surprise to see the RNC operations rolled out in Iowa tonight in both the undermining efforts of the venue and the assistance from former CIA operative, Will Hurd.
On the surface, Will Hurd is claiming to run for the office of the President under a similar platform to allied former congresswoman Liz Cheney. However, the non-pretending version of the effort is for Will Hurd to damage President Trump as much as needed in order to remove the anti-GOPe policies Trump represents. Hurd is likely not going to make the debate stage, so they need him to do as much damage as he can now.
At the end of Hurd’s remarks, at the Republican Party’s annual Lincoln Dinner in Des Moines, he declared Trump was running for president “to stay out of prison,” rather than to “make America great again.” The assembled crowd booed him off stage. WATCH:
President Trump united the largest minority coalition to support the Republican Party in history. President Trump won more black, Hispanic and minority voters than any Republican candidate in history. Yet, Will Hurd has to manufacture lies in order to attack the MAGA movement.

I recently had something of an epiphany.
The GOP plays politics from two decades ago. For them all that matters is money.
The donkeys on the other hand covet power and use any and all means to get it.. part of which is the Alinsky rule of making your opponent play by his own rules which are impossible to fully adhere to. But Trump doesn’t play by rules he’s forced to adhere to. This is frustrating and baffling to both the donkeys and the GOP.

Actually the “he’s flawed” verbiage started after the President first started speaking in 2016 and TPTB realized he was more popular than their corrupt politicians. TPTB started criticising the President and our side responded with the line “yes, he has flaws” or “yes, he’s a flawed man but he’s great.”
At that point, we were trying to counter the criticisms of him because many of us thought he was (affairs while married, bankruptcy, and such, plus there was a tendency with some people to think someone so rich hadn’t always been aboveboard). We cringed instead of looking at the facts, which were that the people with extreme flaws are the Clintons, Bushes, and Obama and his whole administration.
We did a kneejerk blink. We were suckered because we talked about President Trump being flawed or not instead of pointing out the corruption of the Clintons, Bushes, and the Obama administration.
As time went on, the “yes, he’s flawed but” became a go-to phrase in our ranks, to try and ward off criticism and defend President Trump. I think I did it as well.
Then it occurred to me this was beyond stupid. The Clintons, Bushes, and Obama and his minions are criminals and they’ve committed treason (and likely murder multiple times). But we were still stuck on, “yes, he’s flawed but” when we defended him.
The point of my post is now we know people like the Clintons, Bushes, and OBama and his criminal cohorts are corrupt to the hilt and deserve to be charged with treason. Meanwhile, after several millions spent in witch hunts, we have learned President Trump is one of the least corrupt people in the history of the world.
So my point is we need to quit with the knee-jerk reaction “he’s flawed.”

The answer depends on what metric you employ. As a strict percentage, Ike had a larger share of the minority vote. Of course, Trump received more minority votes than Ike because the minority population is much larger now than it was in ’56.
I would argue, too, that Trump outperformed Ike in that in ’56, Ike could run against racist Southern Dems. It was much easier for a Republican to get minority votes before LBJ was (artificially) credited with passing equal rights legislation.
Since then, minorities have consigned themselves to the Dem plantation, even as that has destroyed minority communities. Trump did the unthinkable in growing a much bigger share of the minority vote, even as the entire system was turned against him with one false charge on top of another.
Given the environment in which Trump and Ike were operating, I would have to credit Trump with the better performance among minorities.

Apparently he might not live here anymore. He and his wife listed Arlington, Virginia for their address on their contributions to his campaign. I would have thought that he would want to run for office as a Texan because of his history here and that Texas has 27 more electoral votes than Virginia.
His wife, Lynlie Wallace Hurd, seems to work in politics. She ran for San Antonio city council in 2017 while actually living in Austin. They were dating then. They got married on December 31 of last year. He had never been married previously.
