I agree about the advertising thing to a certain extent, Colkitto. I worked in ad agencies and have done marketing for years. However, while I believe there is a push by businesses and the left to marginalize and minimize the white population, and promote more racial and sexual groups, I also feel it’s a generational thing as well.
Many of the urban Millenials and GenXers are more intentional about interracial dating and marriage than my Boomer generation was. And companies like to go for the younger advertising dollars — plus, agencies tend to hire from that younger demographic to make sure their ads are being “hip” enough. (See the “Bud Light” and “Target” fiasco.) And if you live in a big city like NYC or LA, where much of our media is produced, you are surrounded with a more diverse population than if you are in rural or suburban areas (“flyover country.”)
I noticed that years ago when I lived in Boston. My world was a much bigger hodgepodge of races, sexual preferences, and lifestyles as mainstream than what I experienced in suburban NE Ohio. So groups that may be less than 5-10% of the population across the country can be like 40% or more in a concentrated urban area…
And what/who/when/how/and WHY influenced those Millineals and GenXer’s to view things the way they do?
Personally, Black Knight, I think it’s a combination of factors. Some of it is organic — cities and college campuses have always attracted an eclectic mix of people who think outside the box, and who start new trends.
There is also the more manipulative societal element — K-12 and college progressive indoctrination, and the pervasive leftist media (news, TV, films, social media.) Mix it all together, and you have a barrage of influences.

Odd thing happened. Hubby and I live 30 minutes from a town but on a state route that goes out to the Pacific Ocean beaches in Washington.
A guy went into the deep ditch in front of our house and my husband went to check if he needed ambulance. Hubby brought him inside for water and to sit and wait for tow truck (broken axle).
Few minutes later, someone from both sheriff’s office and fire rescue showed up at our house from nearby substation. The man waiting for the tow asked them who called them in. (no one else was involved)
The sheriff said, “Actually it was an alert from your iphone that notified us.”
Evidently our ‘personal surveillance devices’ are hard at work and directly tapped into police even out in the rural areas. Maybe when target practicing, the ‘device’ needs to be forgotten, or when having a drink with friends lest someone say something critical of government, or when ….?
