Apparently, the western media narrative about Wagner leader Yevgeny Prigozhin leading a revolt against Russian President Putin was, well, shall we say a little overstated. According to recent news reports, President Putin met with Wagner mercenary leader Yevgeny Prigozhin a few days after the “march on Moscow,” the Kremlin has said.
Putin invited Prigozhin – and a number of his commanders – to a meeting in Moscow so Wagner could air their grievances. Prigozhin was upset that his forces were seemingly overexposed to excessive risks in the Ukraine combat operations. “The president gave an assessment of the company’s actions on the front,” Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said of the three hour meeting on 29 June. “Putin listened to the commanders’ explanations and suggested variants of their future employment and their future use in combat,” Mr Peskov added.
This meeting undermines the western narrative as promoted by the U.S State Department and CIA through their official media stenographers.
This meeting aligns exactly as we had mentioned, and is bolstered by Yevgeny Prigozhin being in his hometown of St Petersburg a little over a week ago, which we have independently confirmed. There is no “exile from Russia” as western media have claimed.
(Fox News) Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Wagner chief Yevgeny Prigozhin, leader of the attempted mutiny against the Kremlin last month, just days after the march on Moscow was thwarted.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said Monday the meeting lasted some three hours on June 29, just five days after the attempted mutiny. Peskov released few details on the hours-long meeting but said that Putin provided an “assessment” of Wagner’s actions on the battlefield as well as “the events of June 24.”
“The commanders themselves presented their version of what happened. They underscored that they are staunch supporters and soldiers of the head of state and the commander-in-chief, and also said that they are ready to continue to fight for their homeland,” the spokesman said.
[…] Prigozhin has repeatedly claimed he was not rebelling against Putin but against his top military commanders, including Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu and Chief of the General Staff Gen.Valery Gerasimov, who he says mistreated Wagner forces in Ukraine.
[…] It was originally believed that Prigozhin agreed to end his mutiny even as his men rapidly approached Moscow and reversed course just 125 miles out from the capital city after he and his men were granted safe haven in Belarus in exchange for their exile from Russia.
However, this agreement appears to either not have been the case or has yet to be realized, as sources have told Fox News Digital that Prigozhin was spotted in his hometown of St. Petersburg earlier this month – reports that were echoed by Lukashenko Thursday. (read more)

How do we say ‘joe got played’ in russian?
“FJB!” Works for all occasions!!
Джо сыграл
Pronunciation :
Dzho sygral (Di zho Seegral)
Spasiba!
ochen horoshow
The reply to “спасибо” (spasiba) is “Пожалуйста” Pozhalsto .. which also means Please
Didn’t know we had translators amongst us. Very cool. Welcome to our Treehouse.
CORRECT
auchentoshan
Depending, that’s either a sneeze or a slight misspelling of a very fine single malt. 🙂
lol
Какой он дурак .. єтот Джо!!! .. Не правда ли єто?
Meaning what a fool he is .. that Joe …. Isnt that so?
Language note: There is no “J” sound in Russian but there are minorities (Muslim and Georgian) whose native language has that sound … so Russian combines “d” and “zh”, a slightly modified “z”, to get “j”
How about j with the y sound ?
So for all your Russian needs, Call Melennie.
This actually means “Joe finished playing.” There is no way to say “Joe got played” in Russian, but I will do you one better.
Джо долбоёб
The first word is Joe. The second you’ll have to copy and paste into Google.
Yes, I speak Russian natively
🤣
Also the name of my amazing, lifesaving doctor 👍
Haha So funny!
Theres actually a MTHFR Gene!!
I kid you not!
What Is the MTHFR Gene?
https://www.healthline.com/health/mthfr-gene
Nice Everybody loves their mother after all LOL
Джо сыграл – is not a correct option here. You would use “Cыграл” in a sentence like this: Joe played a game of poker.
The more appropriate sentence would be “Джо обыграли” (Dzho obiigrali). Literally: Joe was outplayed. The more precise option (using a swear word) – “Джо наебали” (Dzho nah-yebalee). Literally: Joe was f#!ked.
Indeed in Serbian as well, could say zajebali Joe.
In Serbian I would say djo zajeban.
Not sayin much, Joe could get fooled by the quarter in your ear, or “Hey, look! Your shoes untied!”
He probably got a ten per cent cut off the top.
Pull my finger.
What is that on your shirt, doink to the nose, over and over, Lol!
You watched WAY too many Three Stooges episodes.
Джо был обманут
He sure was! Possibly, he was in on it. Can’t trust anyone inside the D.C. beltway.
They lie, and lie, and lie, and …
Джо сыграл
He went to Moscow to give Putin his share of the billions of $$$ the US paid him for the fake coup attempt.
Likely!
The best part is his bosses got fooled as well.
*not that smart*
Obiden’s “bosses” are just as “intellectually impaired”(to put it mildly)as both the Big Guy and his son.
The problem is that they do not care, as they’re all on the same page: Anti-USA. ALL of them from the CSI, DOJ, FBI, and all those under “their” thumbs.
What’s worse is that the RINOs are supporting them.
IMO, it is time for a confrontation with Ms lindsey, Turtle McConnell, and yes, Kevin McCarthy. And then, a confrontation with Ronna Romney McDaniel and also Harmeet Dhillon. 2 dirty rotten scoundrels hiding in plain sight. Call them all out. Or prepare to be a slave to the NWO Communist takeover by these globalists..
They all want cheap compliant labor.
…..and we taxpayers get to pick up the tab.
SCHMUCK
Der Bidenschmuken.
All wars are bankers wars. prigozhin was the banker in this case.
“Crazy Ivan”
At this point I’d be more shocked if our government told us the truth about something.
It’s pathological.
You will hear true …when elensky will be forced sign -capitulation …
Its not “to the last”Ukranian, its when the last $ can be extracted.
Coming soon though,…coming soon.
I feel that too.
this is unsustainable….not necessarily because of the money either….it’s one part of it.
I think the reality is setting in that the world really need russian oil and gas…more than ever.
the globalist can only control figurehead politicos to a certain point…when the economies begin to shake hard…no one wins….and lets not forget this war IS ABOUT ENERGY (and money and power and influence)…but it’s first and foremost about energy.
the globalist want to control the energy markets..(all markets actually)…it’s the top currency of the world.
but you can only push this war so far..russia holds the lever here. It’s has the oil and gas…OWNS IT.
that’s power…that’s leverage…and that is how this war will end…how it should have ended long ago.
russia enters into the global energy market making super power. every now has to compete in different terms….new green deal and reset gets reexamined under new economic realities. as it should…as it should have a long time ago.
God Bless America
One problem. Without DS & globalists in control of the US, we have more reserves that could be tapped than SA. In addition to known reserves, Trump recently stated that the ANWAR reserve in AK is now believed to hold more by itself than SA.
We were energy independent and exporting until the new regime.
In addition, this thing in Ukraine started with the Maiden Revolution in 2014 if not before.
The Banksters don’t control Russia and they are the last of the 3 superpowers not to be controlled.
So if it’s really about oil and natural gas, we don’t need them and could easily be an exporter just as we were when Trump was in office.
So, it’s something else. They’re just using the Russian energy as an excuse.
It’s about banking and finance control- think BRICS
here is the truth…AK oil and gas could be 100 times larger than all other world deposit and it would not make a difference under current US trade policies and regulation (19 percent of US GDP IS CONSUMED BY REGULATIONS…fact..look it up.) the overhead costs for domestic oil production in the US is THE PROBLEM. Russia does not have this problem. SA never did either. That is WHY SA and Russia will ALWAYS BE A CHEAPER PRODUCT TO EXTRACT< PROCESS>TRANSPORT. Until the USG gets the eff out of the way US oil and gas just cannot compete. President Trump showed how this could be done. He effected the policies to make it competitively.
now when you consider these things…is it more true that green deal has NOTHING TO DO with joe malarkeys actions and this energy war in ukraine…but more about financial interests that have hanged their hopes on….wait for it. FORCING RUSSIA TO ENERGY TERMS THAT MEANS TRANSFER OF CAPITOL ASSETS OF ITS OIL AND GAS?
think about it.
This administration and the globalists who own US and global interests in war, can gain more profits doing less work AND will in the future bargain for more control over russia oil, BY USING THIS WAR as a means to force russia to take terms. I personally do not believe it will work..I do not believe RUSSIA is willing to ever give up control over its’ own natural resources and company controls.
All wars are bankers wars …
I’m hoping, with all the criminal leftists in BRICS (Lula, S. Africa, China), that Putin can bring stability to the new currency.
Gold backing will bring stability to the new currency, nobody in the BRICS group trusts any of the others. It will also hasten the dedollarization of the BRICS nations. This will cause massive inflation in the nations in the West US$ Alliance. This will take years to fully play out, but it is coming. Pray this does not lead to WW3. Plan to live on less any way you can. The train wreck is upon us in the tunnel. Those running the US miscalculated the timeframe of the BRICS arrival and their implementation of CBDCs (which also will take years, unless we stop it). The BRICS have all the resources and we have all the Federal REserve notes, the supply chains will break, probably unevenly.
The globalists want Ukraine as their personal play land. The banks loan money to blackrock to “rebuild” meaning everything owned by the elite with serfs owning nothing and getting social credit pay. The elite build baby farms and Ukraine becomes Pompeii before God’s wrath hit it. The land of debauchery. Drugs, money laundering, sex, black market trade, gain of function labs. It’s the perfect spot. Right in the middle of everything and far from the eyes of the American public.
I believe the real objective is Ukriane’s uranium ore. Massive deposits, and it is the energy of the future. Everyone, including the Left, knows that windmills and solar farms are bu****it.
They are just milking the “green” subsidies as long as they can game that system.
Then we will see the grifters take over nuke station companies.
While I think you are partially correct, the rest of it is Russia’s other natural resources. The globalists would love nothing more than to own all of Russia’s oil, minerals, etc.
The plan started in the mid 1990s but Putin interrupted the pillaging.
If the liars in the US government told the truth, they’d say they got played for $6 Billion. Why wouldn’t Putin have his long-term pal milk the US for 6B? Even with a 50/50 split, Putin is a whole lot richer.
Doubt it’s 50-50 though…probably 95-5…
In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.
Suffice to say, we won’t be getting the truth from the DC Junta or its bootlickers in the Enemedia.
I watched Colonel Doug MacGregor today on Judge Nap-judging freedom. I believe he’s committing revolutionary acts whenever he’s on.
Yes, altho I can’t stand Judge Nap, I do love MacGregor. Make a good SecDef. Altho Chris Miller is a great guy.
The main reason we are backing Ukraine is to try and keep the money laundering covered up; it doesn’t matter to our politicians how many people die in the process. The secondary reason is our political elite need a war, any war, someplace in the world to keep the kickbacks from the military industrial complex flowing into their campaign coffers. These are seriously evil people who claim to be our representatives, meanwhile we are being ruled by the donor class.
DING DING SING – YOU WIN THE PRIZE Buckeye !
As long As only serfs die they will stor the pot
Still wouldn’t believe them.
D’oh springs eternal.
When was the last time we were told the truth? I honestly can’t remember
That’s a CTH challenge.
Colonel Douglas MacGregor is a truth teller.
He spilled the beans on this one…and all the previous fanciful bilge coming out of the Empire of Hate and Lies… a week ago.
Can we all say kakistocracy?
I like him too Betsy. He’s a good dude and I firmly believe his heart is in the right place. He has a lot of respect for his former boss as well. The Colonel and I share the same foreboding sense of dread about how this all goes down. Short of a miracle I feel there’s not many good choices.
Last interview I saw with him his sense of foreboding was palpable.
He even veered off into US banks. I hope he was wrong about those.
But on every point he has made about this obscene US provoked war he has been absolutely correct.
I wish I could say I find some comfort in that. But he offers nothing to indicate there is anything but increasing bellicosity and death and destruction ahead.
There have been no discussions of diplomatic peace talks. And there will be none.
So here we all sit on the sidelines, watching history not rhyme but repeat… DC egos and bravado leading us all to potential Armageddon.
I’m not being defeatist or hyperbolic in what I’ve said. Just realistic in recognizing that those prosecuting this abominable war are led by a vile force. And you know what this is, my friend. Blessings as always,Luke. Bet
When Colonel McGregor tells the American public that as a nation we should pull out of NATO immediately, then I’ll start listening to him. The only true allies that actually cares about America are Hungary (Our greatest ally), Poland, Japan, South Korea, and Israel (I think). Every other country on Earth go and drop dead, twice.
I can’t argue with your list.
Though I will say of South Korea that I believe that is out necessity.
…and self preservation.
Please leave Serbia alone, they are small, but have a huge heart. Sadly US/Nato did a number on them. To those I say God is watching!!!
Yes, after the Croatians tried to exterminate them in WWII. Jasenovac.
Considering what we have learned about our government, I’d say it was during the Reagan Administration, if RR had any sayso; that’s a big “if.”
My 2 cents puts the DeepState getting firmed up and tested taking care of the JFK Assassination. The planning, execution, explanations, cover-ups, “Blue Ribbon Investigations” and still classified and secret documents! That was when the CIA went domestic!
Correct, within 10 years of going operational, never stopped.
Some time before Nov 22nd, 1963
Washington was President….or maybe Jefferson…
During every PDJT speech.
Comment of the day, Maquis!

🥳
Sad day when I believe mother Russia more than USA boys. Sad day
Not sad to me, Jimmyd. My experience with the Russian citizens was very beautiful.
I visited Russia in 1996. I have Russian and Slavic roots that I was hoping to find. I took 2 years of Russian language (in my 40’s, when i could afford to do so, and my kids were adults). My Russian teacher hooked me up with a friend of hers, to let me stay at her friend’s mother in laws house (state run apartment) so that i could experience my roots. I did it in the “off-season” (very late fall) so I could experience life as their citizens do/did.
I didn’t find my roots, but I had an awesome experience. When I arrived, my host met me at the airport and was required to bring me to the local police station the next morning, which she did. I had to register as a visitor and both she and I had to confirm that I would be staying at her house. Which we did.
My best days included going ton St Petersburg Square, and spending time at the “artist’s corner.” My host also took me to The Hermitage, Catherine The Great’s residence, and many other beautiful historic sites.
When I told her that i needed to go to Moscow, she begged me not to go. She told me it was a dangerous city; very dangerous. I explained to her that there was NO WAY I could return to the USA with0ut visiting the Kremlin and its city. So, she helped me buy my train ticket and off I went, on the midnight train to Moscow. I shared a berth with a couple of young male Dutch Nationalists. They were so very nice and helped me to understand how to read directions (in Russian)….
Because I do not wish to bore you all, I have to let you know that my “trip of my lifetime” was and still is the best i ever had.
Please bear with me as I choose to boor you further, by telling you that my host brought me to the Mariansky Theater, (which I have learned has since been sold out to a “new” company) to see Swan Lake, the ballet. It was just like something out of a Tolstoy novel, with people in the balconies using their “glasses” to see better, and the champagne flowing in the mezzanine/lobby during the intermission… Truly a step back int0 time.
However, my best memory is when I was standing in St Persburg Square the day the helicopter hovered over-head and replaced the Crucifix atop one of the Churches there. The crowd was so jubilant, with loud shouts of joy and praise.
What a joy to witness the early process of restoring the Church in Mother Russia!
Amin!
You were truly blessed to be witness to such a thing.
People say a lot of things about Putin, but what stands out in my mind about him is that he gave Russians back their Church.
He restored Russia while fighting off the Western robber barons and the Derps coveting all of Russia.
Trump and Putin may go down as titans of history, turning the Red tides in their respective lands.
Yes, they very well may.
To God be the glory!!
Thank you for sharing
God Bless mother Russia!!
The $6B con!
Now you know where all that ‘missing’ money went.
CIA/State/DoD got played like a John from a street walking prostitute!
What a bunch of dumbasses!
And the MSM to boot!
Called that one.
Haaaaaa haha haha 😂
I agree with your $6B con assessment as well.
When I look at sources outside of the MSM, I notice something different than the standard talking points.
If you look at this photo below:
Those are not Wagner troops. Prighozin is having that photo taken with a couple of Ukrainian conscripts that were plucked from the street to illustrate how young, and how old the people were that were being forced into service.
The kid on the left looks like he’s about 16 – 17, the one on the right looks like he’s well over 50, and they still have their weapons.
“Rumors” are, that one of the reasons it took so long to take Bakhmut, was because Prigozhin was trying to get as many of these forced conscripts out of there as possible without killing them. This might confirm that.
This has been reported in Southern Ukraine as well.
Final point that was glossed over by the MSM. Prigozhin said that only 2 people died during the coup, oh, and they just so happen to be MoD personnel riding in the convoy to Moscow, no Wagner troops killed or wounded.
My guess is the 2 MoD officers were the inside contacts for the CIA/State/DoD.
🤔
Nice work!
Thanks for the compliment. Made that assessment on this site on the very day the news broke.
Additionally noted at the time that it was cover for maneuver of redeployment for future operations (envelopment – hammer & anvil flanking movement directed towards Kiev and rear area logistics), as well as flush out traitors and spies (which matches your comment on the 2 MoD killed).
Brilliant multifaceted operation.
See reply to Maquis by me down thread for what I think will happen next.
Was it you black night that posted the map illustrating the troop movement?
Did they get played?
It seems more like good old fashion extortion. Nice Senate seat ya got there, be a shame if these pictures got out.
And to sweeten the pot, if you add another billion of tax dollars, I can cut you in too.
Not sure what you mean. The DS was fomenting a coup inside Russia, or so they thought.
Coups cost money – that was the bribe.
DS already controls the Senate so that’s a moot point.
Idk but it’s hilarious to think about it. Boy you talk about pissed off 🤣
Please Lord let that make mainstream news (I know I know).
Guaranteed they’re fuming red faced mad as hell.
Think about the day the news broke – media, DoD & State all ecstatic. Remember what Sundance says about the various media and who they represent and what they were all saying. They were all so sure of themselves on the fall of Putin and the collapse of Russia.
Contrast that against news week before about $6.2B missing from DoD.
Contrast to the result of this ‘mutiny’ and aftermath. It’s a pretty easy deduction / conclusion.
“Once you see the strings….”
This squares with the analysis of Jacques Baud (referred by a commenter on another site):
https://www.thepostil.com/the-wagner-mutiny/
World War Reddit.
We’ll be going hot when the NATO fools in Vilnius decide to commit suicide.
I don’t think we knew what the heck was going on, since our understanding of the entire situation has been so wrong for so long. Where is Vindman in all this?
Not sure the Nato countries are going to “go along” with an escalation.
They don’t seem to be too thrilled by the idea of cluster bombs.
NATO long ago turned into a cluster f*^#!
Cluster bombs used by Ukraine against residents of the Donbass 2022. Graphic.
https://odysee.com/@NotTheBoilingFrog:f/dozens-killed-by-ukrainian:6
Several are already pushing back, led by Hungary.
and germany…it’s going to be very interesting.
Vindman? Beating the drum for mother Ukraine…
I should have said “if” not “when” in reference to NATO.
They’re not going to admit Ukraine. Even Biden, in a stunning moment of clarity, said they aren’t ready.
I expect to see a Russian offensive this summer/fall, which is why Sloppy Joe is sending cluster bombs.
Probably pinning more fake medals on his jacket.
No-chin Vindman is still looking for his chin !!
I still think it has been best -Russian -maskyrovka- since WW2…. “MUSICIANS” was/will be move to Belarus .all 5th columns in Russia had to depart from Russia ..Russia in those 72 hrs liquidate nato/storage/ mercenaries assets in western also eastern Ukraine…Elensky left UKR. for begg tour again….and approval of VVP soared to 80 %….
Poland and Lithuania were ready to invade Belarus. The arrival of Wagner may have stopped this.
Putins a brutal dictator, who calmly meets with, and listens to his troops, takes their concerns/criticism into consideration, and doesn’t have them all executed.
Has so far conducted this invasion in a very restrained manner, trying to minimise civilian casualties and damage to Uke infrastructure, unlike American shock and awe.
Strange behavior, for a DICTATOR.
Incase people need an example of a REAL HONEST TO EVILNESS DICTATOR…
Putin makes the frauds in the US government and the NATO leaches look like the pathetic losers they are. Even the Zeester himself is smart enough to milk this BS for all its worth
Wow, you took my thoughts and put them in print.
Maybe it’d be best to listen to Col. Macgregor describe Putin in a larger context. When you understand what Macgregor said, you then realize Putin’s actions are anything BUT strange; they are instead logical, sensible, and best for everyone in the long run.
Larry Johnson does a helluva job with this too.
Putin is a powerful leader because he is very intelligent, resonates with russian people who admire him for taking no shit from nato and the west….but putin has been a disruptor. He’s a new world man for russia…yes a former FSB agent, but someone who understands how russia can compete strategically in a global market WITHOUT LOSING ITS NATIONAL AND CULTURAL SOVEREIGNTY. I admire that, even if I don’t particularly trust the dude. It means he can be reasoned with.
unfortunately the joe malarkey circus traded reason for corruption…the MO for this administration…no country can conduct healthy relations with a corrupt regime. it never works out…it’s a matter of fundamental trust. Joe malarkey and the people that installed him have burned the reputation of the USG into the ground…It will take at least 4 more years of President Trump to gain some of that back.
God Bless America
I probably should keep my mouth shut because I’m just an old gal with an opinion, but I’d like to add “…..the joe malarkey circus traded reason for corruption….And Power.
That old man is drunk on power and doing nothing reasonable. To use Col MacGregor’s words….”stop the nonsense“! Joe Malarkey is filled with hate for Russia and can’t see past his own hate and neither can his administration. In 50 years, he’s never made the right decision on anything to do with foreign affairs.
So why would he start now?
I hope we make it through this mess but I really think he will finish the destruction of the U.S. because of his greed. It took 50 years for us to see what a real jerk he is.
Dixie I think you’re on to a key driver here: power. I totally agree but I think it goes well beyond Joe Malarkey. He’s too far gone in the cognition department; it’s the people trying to hide behind him but pulling all of his strings.
Joe is simply the morally corrupt but increasingly senile old man they’ve been using to shield themselves from the public’s righteous criticism and deepening anger that the shadow masters’ greedy self-serving policies and blatantly unethical tactics have wrought.
joe malarkey does what the paper tells him to. the people who make policy and push joe malarkey around have very specific financial interests that are buried under mountain layers of corruption, swindles, murder, war and theft. He does what he is told. Joe malarkey isn’t smart enough to be a kingpin. He was installed because he is easily manipulated, given his long time status as compromised from many criminal activities, including those of his family, and cocaine whoring son. The secret police spy state demanded that joe malarkey be installed because President TRUMP *YOU AND ME* were in the way. It wasn’t just a coup to steal an election.
it was to SELL THE WORLD. Joe malarkey can’t think past the next pudding pop.
Unfortunately this executive branch is not reliable enough to be aligned with.
Even if President Trump gets into office again. Other countries cannot keep alliances with superpowers who turn their backs on them every four to eight years.
Or muscle them into doing what they want. I think you’re right but I fear you are not.
Meanwhile our holier than thou pResident is releasing his DOJ hounds on all political enemies foreign and domestic.
Yep I’m sure of it, Putin=brutal dictator, Biden received 81 million votes from 36 counties.
Prigozhin will be the next president of whatever is left of Ukraine.
That whole victors/spoils thing, comes to mind.
PUTIN doesn’t want to fight NATO, U.S. Govt foolishly wants Putin to have to fight NATO,..
But if it happens, methimks Puton would win, without going nuke.
IT COULD HAPPEN….
Apparently the Western media has been incapable of telling the truth for the last 50 years.

I’m telling you! Prigozhin got $6.2 billion from the CIA to overthrow Putin, so Prigozhin goes for the short end money and splits the $6.2 bil with Putin. That way, Prigozhin keeps his head AND his money!
The USA just got suckered. Again.
Plenty about that here. Excellent interview.
Putin is holding the best hand in Ukraine and is waiting for the results of this before progressing further:

Putin displays what one would expect of an astute leader.
Biden displays what one would expect of a puppet with a few broken strings.
I came across a youtube video last evening by Peter Zeihan who claims to be a geopolitics whiz. What In The World is title of video, I think. Zeihan says Shoigu is most corrupt man on the planet who takes 1/3 of Russian military expenditure for himself and Shoigu’s #2 takes another third. Zeihan brags of meeting Karl Rove, hates Trump and us and hates Tucker Carlson, says some good stuff about FJB so we know where he is coming from. Zeihan states China is in collapse as is Russia. Commentators agree Zeihan is wrong a lot. Zeitan also states the US had planes above and below china balloon as it crossed US military bases that recorded down to the individual computer what balloon was accessing (bull crap).
If the bit about Shoigu were true, Shoigu would have drank polonium tea by now, or stumbled off a high-rise balcony.
And everyone knows it.
Shoigu has done a pretty damm good job thus far, no question about it. Respect.
I bet Zeihan loves Israel! LOL
I watched a bunch of Peter Zihan videos. Then I saw that he was absolutely wrong on several things in his utube videos. These items were not secret things or disputed in anyway, but general knowledge of big events. Anyone with a University or most post primary school education from Eastern Europe (including Russia) would know. As he was wrong on some simple events that I know; I just figure he was wrong on what I do no know, so I will not watch him at all.
While he sounds authoritative, may be right or wrong on a lot; he is mostly stick IMHO.
Yeah. I get weary of the hair-on-fire reporting of EVERYthing. It sometimes seems deliberate, designed to wear us down and exhaust us mentally and emotionally. But really, could they ALL be in on it? Or is it just a national proclivity?
Even the evening weather reports do it. If it’s sunny, watch out for skin cancer and wear your sun screen. If it’s going to rain, “it’s gonna rain! We’re all gonna die!!” Even a beautiful clear spring day will have something to be afraid of, whether pollen counts or “the mosquitos are hatching in record numbers.”
So, Russia invades Ukraine (be honest – nobody in the West gives a shit about Ukraine), and it’s WW3 tomorrow. A bunch of yahoos get into the Capitol (happens fairly regularly actually, welcome to America) and it’s an “insurrrection” and our elected officials, who don’t really like us and, truth be told, are actually kind of afraid of us, all had to “run for our lives.”
Perhaps it comes out of our biggest, fastest, brightest, newest advertising bombasity that we are bombarded with constantly. I don’t know. Tin foil hats, the Russian menace, the Chinese menace, the Southern border invasion, white supremacists, black supramacists, antifa, Proud Boys, Boogaloo Boys, bomb shelters, food caches, concealed carry, bugout bags, and constant vigilance for the Rapture that is surely coming any day now. We get it from every side.
The rest of the world must think EVERYONE in America is batshit crazy.
I believe you are overlooking the UFO apocalypse!!
Oh my GOD! You’re right! I forgot about the greys, the reptilians, the alien DNA we all carry, the secret UFO bases at the bottom of the sea, the hole in the North Pole they all fly out of, crop cirlces, cattle mutilations, and my favorite: Big Foot is a space alien.
Oh, and the constant surveillance we are all under.
Maquis – listen real closely. Do you hear that faint tapping behind you over your left shoulder? Listen closely. Hear it now? That’s me.

who believe them…..are all bats##t crazy😜
This video of Wagner movement maybe true, maybe not true. Maybe from an earlier movement, maybe recent. It’s just HUMINT. Not much dispute in the replies.
But if it is true….They turned left at the rest stop and headed west into Belarus and will probably be 100 km from Kiev. One of the greatest head-fakes in history on the West/NATO.
One can hope.
M
Remember when I told you caution on the original story? I know you do, but do you remember this part?
Paraphrased- “Watch for an offensive movement by the Russians from the north and west of Kiev within a few weeks?”
NATO Summit this week.
Depending on outcome of that meeting, watch the Russians soon!!!
There’s a part of me that wonders how many of those “Wagner” troops in Minsk, are actually former Ukrainian military with an axe to grind with Elensky.
They would be better received in someplace like Kiev than Wagner or Russian troops would.
A Russian version of the Bay of Pigs, all armed and trained with a $6.2B accounting error.
That’s an observation worth considering.
Use them as the vanguard entering Kiev to allay any concerns by the locals.
The Russians are said to be massing forces in the region, East of Kharkov. Several sources say about 200,000 soldiers.
You kinda have to laugh at Americans. We are so-o-o engrossed in this story.
When Patrick Lancaster interviewed some Russian residents at Rostov on Don who were greeting Wagner troops, a Russian couple casually said that this is an issue for Putin to resolve and they left it at that.
I was impressed with their nonchalance and ability to pass off the responsibility to the top guy in the Kremlin (where it obviously belongs) without the urge to over analyze the situation and offer advice to Putin on how to take care of it.
Here in the US, we are adamantly “he should do this, he should do that” like we are the ones that know the best. That struck me hard.
America should pull out of NATO tomorrow. I posted before that our only dependable allies are Hungary, Poland , Czech-Slavakia, Japan, South Korea, and Israel (maybe). Every other country on Earth can suck on it!
Cagey old school cold warrior against the low IQ hair bag and his posse of woke men in skirts .
Or was it a meeting like Sadam Huessin had with his chief officers? Not saying Prigozhin was executed but could be under Putin’s full control.
Sundance it is so entertaining watching
our propaganda media and pundits squirm.
When are the media going to ask at press conferences
how long before Russia runs out of missiles ?
After all, they have been pushing that lie
for over a year. 😃

Great article.
Some video footage for those

It exists —our media cannot/will not

And I love that people like Simplicius

Ukraine NAFO bots!
They had a conference at

Summit begins.
Hilarious!! Yup…just how I pictured they
would look like!😂😂😂🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
Putin did nothing to Wagner at the time to save face so it proved it was a manufactured coup to offer distraction for Biden!!!!
This happened the week Biden was getting hit in the media from the whistle blowers. Then on the weekend Putin gave Biden a major distraction with this fake coup.
Proves the war is fake and manufactured and Putin is in on it. It’s a scam to keep oil high and for the great rest to be ushered in.
“ re- set to be ushered in”.
I didn’t have a chance to go back and edit. Lol.
That’s the thing… all of Biden’s friends had a stake in Oil and Gas being high…. even that snake Goldman from NYC. They’ve made literally millions, if not Billions from Bidens war on oil. It’s his way of laundering cash to people under the radar….. which apparently Comer and GOP are looking into, so kudo’s to them.
Yes, yes, I know I’m not alone, fellow Treepers.
But I am SO doggone TIRED of being lied to!
And I’m even more tired of the left thinking I’m too dumb to know I’m being lied to!
The so called Right does it too.
Another monumental failure by the 100% ILLEGITIMATE Biden administration .
I have been paying attention to the military blogger videos. While some are pro- Russian and many are pro-Ukraine, I think both sides are missing the point. This “special military operation” is not going to end before the next U.S. election.
Biden says there can be no NATO invitation until the conflicts over, so why would Putin go all out for the win? Just keep fighting until the European nations tire of the refugees and fight to hold what you already have.
As for Ukraine running out of artillery shells… we just gave them more money than the whole Russian economy. Where’d that money go?
Trump could solve this in 20 minutes if he dialed real slow.
I disagree with the notion that this SMO had anything to do with the United States. That it had anything to do with the objectives which Putin very plainly stated in late February of last year. This is effectively a civil war, and it has literally centuries(!) of historical precedent. (“Since a grandson of Genghis Kahn.” Seriously.)
The present boundaries of Ukraine are entirely artificial, set in several USSR production-planning meetings. They have nothing to do with social nor historical boundaries in these lands.
Great minds can disagree. But to say this has nothing do do with the U.S. is nothing short of naive. Do you really think this wasn’t in the works since before Trump. The Vindmann phone call was all about getting Ukraine into NATO. Once the beloved President returns, NATO is kaput. Then they will have nothing to fight over except centuries of hatred.
Biden wants to spread NATO, Trump wants it abolished. It has outlived its usefulness. Like the UN, it is all graft.
I agree 100% on pulling out of NATO. Let them stab each other in the back until they are all enslaved. Hungary, Czech/Slavakia, Poland are the only European countries that are America’s trusted allies.
Looking at the footage of President Pedo Pete today, he looked so feeble and weak, do you think they are cutting him off the drugs to prop him up and letting him McCain himself? Does he return back to the states alive or is WH hospice next? You know they Gov. Hairjell is waiting in the wings with Auntie Stoli Pelosi.
Let’s not kid ourselves anymore – this man is in the final stages of Alzheimer’s. (Although he hasn’t forgotten how to swallow yet.) He is dying. Slowly but surely.
It’s time to invoke the 25th Amendment so that this elder abuse can finally stop. Do it as an act of mercy and for his own protection. Heartless, evil men and women are now doing to him exactly what they did to Lenoid Brezhnev, and for the same reasons. (And: no, do not look at that poor man’s pathetic final videos.)
This 3 year shite show is deliberately INTENDED to embarrass the US and we Americans on the world stage and cut us down to size. There was no need to visit London on the way to wherever the hell he is traveling.
These are orchestrated events to humiliate us.
They did the same thing to Ruth “Buzzy” Ginsberg.
They propped her up at the jukebox for about a year.
I dont mind that they propped up Ginsburg. It allowed Pres Trump to appoint conservative SC judges
It certainly does not escape my attention that if these troops were “exiled” to Belarus, they would then be hundreds of miles closer to Kiev and also stationed in an allied country of great strategic importance. They might simply be able to accomplish this important troop movement without the otherwise-expected risk of being attacked … Just sayin’.
He even stated in his online rant that he was angry with the military commanders (and not for the first time). He never once mentioned Putin. I knew that the subsequent media stories were all propaganda.
I swear, “they” are really bad at this propaganda thing… it is always so easy to figure out their lies.
Let’s say for a moment the USA has a vital national security interest in Ukraine.
If true ,this Russian fiasco would have been an opportunity for shred fast acting decisive military minded men to exploit to our advantage .
Instead we have asswipe neocons and politically motivated Generals lead by a bumbling dumbbell who cant even carry his folding chair off the beach.
Prigozhin was upset because Putin and the Russian Army were going soft on Ukraine causing more casualties for his men and Russian soldiers.
For example, Bakhmut could have been destroyed by artillery and air bombardment instead of street fighting by light infantry!
Great point. Lots of Wagnerians were killed in Bakhmut.
…AND LOTS OF VOLUNTEER RUSSIAN PRISONERS….
I do not doubt there was some unhappiness but not a mutiny nor revolt.
From WWII, the US had it’s share of issues with US Mercenaries and free lancing regulars in the China-Burma-India Theater, when the US Army started to integrate them into the “normal” US Command Structure.
Read the historical account of the integration of the Flying Tigers into the US 14th Air Force in China. It was NOT pleasant nor handled very well by the US Army. Nearly the entire American Volunteer Group (the Flying Tigers) resigned and went home (both air and ground echelons).
The integration of the 5307th Infantry Group (aka Merrill’s Marauders) also did not go very well either, in Burma-India.
The Marine Corps in WWII also had their fair share of issues when they started to reorganize and integrate the Marine Raider and Parachute Battalions.
A more up to date version is the big stink that occurred when President Trump tried to force SOCOM (Special Operations Command) back under total US Army Forces Command control. They are currently free lancers working more for DHS than the DoD.
With the Russians reorganizing the command structure in the Ukraine, one of the major sticking points had to be the demand by the new commanders that the Russian Army have total control over the Wagner Group. This did not sit well from an operational autonomy, ego and financial point of view.
“Russia reveals number of foreign fighters in Ukraine”, as follows:
Only 2,200 mercenaries remain in Ukraine of almost 12,000 that had flocked to Kiev’s cause since the conflict escalated, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Monday.
A total of 11,675 foreign fighters from 84 countries have been recorded entering Ukrainian service since February 2022, Lt. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said during a daily briefing.
Poland accounted for the largest number of foreign combatants – more than 2,600 of them. The US and Canada furnished over 900 each, followed by Georgia (more than 800), the UK and Romania (over 700), Croatia (more than 300), France (over 200) as well as Syrian territories under Turkish control.
However, a total of 4,845 foreign fighters died in battle and another 4,801 fled Ukraine, leaving only 2,209 on active duty in the Ukrainian armed forces as of June 30, Konashenkov noted.”
A bunch of Nepalese Ghurkas are training in Russia right now in order to join Wagner. They say the pay is better than fighting with the Brits (their normal patrons) and after a one year contract, they will get Russian citizenship.
What about the stories of Putin fleeing Moscow as the Wagner group approached? Was that also false reporting?
Da.
A PERFECT VVP DRAMA/MASKYROVKA….
Yes
Uvek lazu, uvek, misle da smo mi budale. As a Canadian Serb, I have more trust in Putin than Biden, Trudope Macron et al. The collective west has no mozga, means brains. I apologize at the beginning of my comment, I was replying to Mountain Man regarding fake reporting, so I wrote, always, always lying, they think we are all stupid. Cheers from a once beautiful country, Canada, that Trudope destroyed.
When on stage -Joe looks like the money card being shuffled around in a 3-card monte game. Being played by everyone in the world but us….
Reading commentary from other countries will tell you a lot. We’re amazing them on how crazy we are, how corrupt we are, how clownish we are. We are roundly hated, passionately. (BTW, what’s up with France? Couldn’t be Macaroni was getting too cozy with the Russkies and had to have a message sent, eh?)
But look! Bag of coke in the WH….!
Coke = Squirrel
Titan = Squirrel
Cluster Bombs = Squirrel
Military Mutiny = Squirrel
I feel like a Cocker Spaniel.
Something big is happening, and we might have a clue what is really going on; unless we read here. 🙂
That was “not have a clue” sorry.
Hey, all the war pigs in both parties adored this ‘coup’. Facts don’t matter to them. And now they are giddily, Tom Cotton, Graham, agreeing with Biden to use cluster bombs, against the Geneva Convention.
Something is wrong with them.
Cluster Bombs in the Ukraine Army will not be very effective in forming a proper attack. Air burst shells are not the easiest thing to use effectively in an infantry attack and clusters probably are even worst. I doubt that Ukraine artillery has the ability to dial it all in, there is a reason Artillery Officers are selected from brightest in Western services (saying good thing about artillery officers 🙁 ). I would not want to advance where the rounds were used. The rounds will be pretty old, past their real use date, so they will not work that well as you read numbers on the internet. It will only lead to more blood on both sides.
Not sure about them being a violation of the Geneva Convention, it should be. Russia and Ukraine has already used them. We are still having problems with WWI minefields, never mind recent conflicts. Ukraine and Russia both will be like Spain after the Civil War already.
” Artillery Officers are selected from brightest in Western services (saying good thing about artillery officers “
That wold not be 3200 mils off.
They are in violation of the 2008 Convention on Cluster Munitions that neither we nor Russia nor Ukraine are party to.
Our proffered rationale was preserving the means to retaliate in kind if they were used against us.
I’m disappointed in Tom Cotton.
WARMONGER #2……
Tom Cotton sure is a prick, as are many others in that party, they work well with their opponents. That is in plain view they are all one and the same. Shame on them. If and when they go to speak to the people they begged for money and a vote, instead of listening to the warmongers, on 3 all should spit on them.
They get played all the time because they think that they’re smart and practical
Clowns, incompetent and corrupt to the core
the US media and the “west” coverage of this war has not gotten a single fact correct. The entire narrative has been misinformation.
imagine you are a ukrainian fighter….and you see how this war is being narrated….you see with your own eyes you are losing badly…
at some point there is going to be a military coup against zelensky….i just feel it. (which might explain why the west promotes this wagner mutiny nonsense to distract from a fractious leadership problem in ukraine).
God Bless America
It’s a PSYOPS media campaign against the Western audience so the peasants/deplorables don’t rebel.
Have you seen any of the Russian spoof PSYOPS they’ve sent out targeting our intel agencies and mocking the media talking points? They’re hilarious and are embarrassing for those targeted.
I would also note: the psyops is not well done…it’s very amateur.
one gets the opinion, the psyops isn’t well developed, because why spend any energy designing it well? is the secret police spy state really worried about a peasant rebellion ?
they only need to keep up the fraud and the appearances for one reason only: so that some future president, future administration will never hold them to account as war criminals…
isn’t that the real reason? as a contingency…like an insurance policy…one that you take out when you are only 40…in the event, you need your get out of jail card.
noting: obama refused to declassify saudi arabia redacted “intelligence” that would allow US families to file criminal and civil law suits against specific people in Saudi Arabia for their involvement with grooming, training, and providing intel and resources to many of the 911 terrorists. Why did obama do this? insurance policy. Obama needed to weld those doors shut so that a reverse case could not happen to him…with his killer drones and other terrorists actions that would be reviewed as similar to a 911.
the pysops is necessary in the case to protect US interests in a lawless and corrupt involvement in ukraine…those dirty rats the russians…never mind, the decades of fraud and money laundering and direct support of ukraine neo nazi terrorists that we supported as far back as 2011!!!! It’s an attempt to write history in real time…as an insurance policy..
but why are they really fooling? corporate powers who finance the administration….corporate executives and big power players who make the world machines work…who might get a clue that perhaps its not such a great idea to align with US direction in this matter…A psyops can have that effect..a chilling one. How dare you accuse the USG of not taking national defense and security seriously? that’s a powerful chilling effect. Remember how it happened in the months just after 9/11….and the years that followed. Anyone not on board with a full scorched earth war plan against all things iran, was a traitor to his country…a disloyal coward and “muslim sympathizer”….the psyops is not to fool you, but to keep you quiet…paralyzed to act against corrupt and evil people who have every intention of murdering as many people as necessary to advance and capture their own goals. THIS IS THE ENEMY WE FACE.
God Bless America.
Nice
I like to listen to Alex Christoforu , his walk and talk in Larnaca and Nicosia in Cypres. He has interesting topics including the Ukraine story along with others from around the world. The MSM perhaps could learn some things from him, but of course that would not fit their narrative.
Lord let it be, daj Gospode Boze!!
It’s just so hilarious- in this instance the joke on joe was worth our $$$$$$$$$.$$
If it was not for fake news and misinformation then we would have… err… an educated populous!
Sad state of affairs. The USA is playing communist regime in the current age against the freedom backing Soviets. Crazy times.
Pedo got played.
Been following this stuff pretty hard since the official kickoff of the SMO. No it’s not because I like war and I am certainly not a voyeur. I have to say my instincts are pretty sharp now. What can I say, when you have been subverted and manipulated like we have over the years hopefully you wise up. Watching the media unify and the hordes of NAFO trolls (think Antifa types) swarm this place was a tell tale sign something was important to our betters.
In was a galvanizing experience for me. I learned that only ONE thing matters. All else are merely side quests. That ONE crucial matter was to protect the hegemony at all costs. I don’t necessarily mean American either even though their wagons are hitched to us now. These people on top could care less about your ideology or even their own for that matter. The ONLY thing that matters is power for the sake of power.
This war has now reached the end for all intents and purposes. It’s over and Globohomo and his beloved financiers at the top have lost. I am doubtful (just my instinct) they have the time to pull back and maybe take a swipe at the Chinese in a year or two. I suspected if/when they ever came to face that reality all the while ignoring and manipulating false narratives it would be a perilous time.
And here we are. That damn Donald Trump may end up needing to cross The Rubicon yet. This time with a whole lot more.
Bonus payments resolved.
Hey Prigozen
Yes Vlad
Let’s play a joke on that pair of pencil Necks Sullivan & Blinken
Putin is the only adult in power in the world, he listens and doesn’t act hastily and he does what is best for the Russian people. Kind of like Trump.
Biden’s Build Back Better — try — Bamboozled Beaten BRICS
Did everyone ignore Putin’s speech to the nation (and to the world) that night about the situation? Putin does not go on television to address his nation (and the world) about a problem (exposing himself and Russia to criticism and ridicule for weakness) unless that problem is very serious. With forethought and precision, Russian leaders are very careful in saying exactly what they want to say, laid out the situation and affirmed he’s still in charge and the steps that are/will be taken may well be visible and shocking to the people. Here’s some of what Putin said to Russians, with some of my comments, on the night of the Prigozhin maneuver:
“I appeal to the citizens of Russia, to the personnel of the Armed Forces, law enforcement agencies and special services, to the soldiers and commanders who are now fighting in their combat positions, repelling enemy attacks, doing it heroically – I know that I spoke again this night with the commanders of all forces.” [Supreme Commanders usually speak through the General Staff, but Putin spoke, and not for the first time (he says “again”) directly to commanders of “all forces.” Who were they? Over what means did he speak to them? Does NSA have those SIGINT intercepts? (we’ll never know that!) Later in the speech he says, “The Armed Forces and other state bodies have received the necessary orders”, probably from his direct communications with commanders.]
“I also appeal to those who, by deception or threats [who were deceived and threatened? And, who were doing the deceiving and threatening? Are the deceivers within Russia or from without?], were dragged into a criminal adventure, pushed onto the path of a serious crime – armed rebellion.” [He says “serious crime” so Russians know what that means. He doesn’t say an armed rebellion is taking place, only that some have been “pushed onto the path.”]
“Russia today is waging an uphill struggle for its future…This battle, when the fate of our people is being decided, requires the unity of all forces, unity, consolidation and responsibility.” [He didn’t say ‘we will use our united power’, etc., etc.; no, he says “unity” is required, thereby acknowledging disunity is present to a serious degree within forces.]
“Everything that weakens us must be cast aside.” [Russians know this means changes, perhaps personnel, perhaps policy, are very likely to happen. Will there be shake ups in the Ministry of Defense and/or General Staff? Shake ups on the political side? Are people in leadership echelons being prostituted by outside agents?]
He goes on rather curiously to talk not about the Great October Revolution but about the civil war that followed. “the tragedy of civil war…We will not let this happen again.” [Did Putin believe the disunity was so severe that civil war was an imminent likelihood? Again, he’s not only speaking to his people, but also to the world: admitting and alerting everyone to the possibility of a civil war. He knows how this admission will be received by friend and foe alike, yet he feels compelled to say it. Extraordinary!]
“We will protect both our people and our statehood from any threats, including – from internal betrayal. [To Russians “internal betrayal” is Soviet-era language signaling something bad happening behind the Kremlin walls. If it was the Wagner Group that was the problem, Putin would hardly have needed an emergency telecast to the nation to deal with Prigozhin.] “And what we are facing is precisely betrayal.” [No beating around the bush – it is betrayal. By whom and from whom? Is there a new Lenin v Trotsky rivalry? Is there an outside force at work within Russia?]
“Exorbitant ambitions and personal interests [in what forms and by whom?] led to betrayal, to betrayal of their country, and their people, [the Wagner Group is not Russia so it cannot betray Russia in the way Putin is speaking; no, this is about Russians who have been corrupted — what irony.] and the cause for which, side by side with our other units and subunits, the fighters and commanders of the Wagner Group fought and died.” [He says “our” units along with the entirety of the Wagner Group, “fighters and commanders” – all of them were betrayed.]
Then he goes on to praise the Wagner Group:
“The heroes who liberated Soledar and Artyomovsk [it was the Wagner Group who captured those towns, he calls them “heroes”; fyi: Artyomovsk is also known as Bakhmut], the cities and towns of Donbass, fought and gave their lives for Novorossiya, for the unity of the Russian world. [The Wagner Group fought for “unity.”] Their name and glory were also betrayed [the Wagner Group are victims, too] by those who are trying to organize a rebellion, pushing the country towards anarchy and fratricide.” [Once again, no actual rebellion taking place, but there are those within Russia, perhaps outside Russia, too, “trying to organize a rebellion.”]
“I repeat, any internal turmoil is a mortal threat to our statehood, to us as a nation.” [He repeats the internal threat, reemphasizing that internal turmoil is a fact; and, that’s it’s a “mortal” threat.]
“All those who deliberately [by their own will] embarked on the path of betrayal, who prepared an armed rebellion [Putin said “prepared” but not activated], embarked on the path of blackmail and terrorist methods [coercion by some against others], will be inevitably punished, will answer both before the law and before our people.” [Purge!]
“As President of Russia and Supreme Commander-in-Chief, as a citizen of Russia, I will do everything to defend the country, protect the constitutional order, lives, security and freedom of citizens.”
[Interesting that he used his governmental title and highlighted “constitutional order” when he could just as easily have begun “As Supreme Commander…” This leads me to think there’s a strong, perhaps overarching, political aspect to the intrigue and not just a military one.]
“Those who organized and prepared a military rebellion, who took up arms against their comrades-in-arms, betrayed Russia. And they will answer for it.” [The Wagner Group met no resistance in capturing Rostov. But the Wagner Group has often accused the Russian military of intentionally firing on and killing many Wagner fighters. Wagner Group met some limited resistance along the highway from Rostov to Moscow from some local territorial guards – perhaps involved in the intrigue or perhaps just that 5% that never get the message. The fact the Wagner Group moved so easily up the highway, without anti-aircraft defense concerns, is evidence the Group’s movement was approved.]
“And I urge those who are trying to be drawn into this crime not to make a fatal [doesn’t get much clearer as to the consequence of being part of some rebellious cabal] and tragic, unique mistake, to make the only right choice – to stop participating in criminal actions.” [Cease and desist or prison or bullet.]
It’s possible the Wagner Group was actually being used by Putin as a kind of palace guard, summoned to Moscow, the path, for the most part cleared of interference by Putin’s orders to commanders, in order to possibly thwart a kind of palace coup. Are there people in the current leadership who were “sharpening their knives” against Putin? Who influenced whom in that regard? Did the movement on Moscow by the Wagner Group end any fence-sitting by would-be participants? Oh, how I miss having an undeterrable Anna Politkovskaya right now, or anyone with the cojones to confront our leadership (State, CIA, Congressional, etc.) or WEF leadership or other potential players about any outside influence on Kremlin elites. If we, the US, tempted Russian elites to overthrow Putin, I suppose we’ll know when we see a special Cyrillic edition of the Miami Beach phone book; assuming there are survivors, of course.
Interesting!
Putin does seem to be a straight up fellow. And what you reinforced most likely describes the events and feelings thereof.
However there are some shady (not necessarily bad) things that are peaking curiosity. One is why isn’t Prig incarcerated after running this little gambit?
It’s just a guessing game at this point. None of know nor will we understand what happened. Russia certainly is not against a good psyop either. Merely gossip I suppose nothing more.
Luke, right you are that Russians know how to execute “maskirovka.” However, I don’t believe Putin would intentionally place himself in such a degrading position as he did when he addressed the nation (and the world) claiming internal betrayal and the possibility of civil war.
Regarding Prigozhin, from my point of view a possible answer as to why Prigozhin isn’t in jail is that his maneuver was sanctioned by Putin, perhaps even initiated by Putin. Traditionally, leadership in the Soviet Union involved three power centers: the Party, the military, and the KGB. The Party always partnered with one of the other two to keep the third one suppressed, depending on how things were going. For example, Nikita Khrushchev used the military to eliminate KGB boss Beria from taking over after Stalin’s death. In a similar vein, during his term as Party boss Yuri Andropov used his KGB connections to keep Dimitry Ustinov’s military apparatus in check. There is no formal Politburo anymore, but old habits are hard to break.
I believe Putin has deep concerns regarding the loyalties of some of Russia’s more elite military, security, and political leaders. IF there was some Kremlin cabal, whether internally grown or externally driven, seeking to replace Putin (let’s say under the guise of ending the war and making peace with Ukraine) to whom would Putin turn? (Sort of a modern day Who Do You Trust? WDYT was a game show in the later 50’s which gave Johnny Carson & Ed McMahon their starts.)
If Putin was unwilling to use one Russian force against another, then one clear option would be the Wagner Group led by Prigozhin, “Putin’s chef” (he once ran a food service to the Kremlin). Perhaps Putin determined their loyalty to be more reliable than some other units more close at hand. Recalling the WG to Moscow would be a good move for his security and would force potential foes to put up or shut up. Almost immediately the situation quickly cooled making WG’s final approach to Moscow unnecessary. Reaching a deal with Lukashenko to base Prigozhin’s WG in neighboring Belarus gives Putin a personal security force of 25,000 or more on the outskirts of Russia proper, in a friendly country (Belarus) with a friendly leader (Lukashenko), and within easy reach of Moscow.
In the Cold War days, we had some excellent reporting about Kremlin happenings from correspondents in Moscow. But now, with lazy journalism, we know little to nothing about Kremlin intrigues. Churchill’s words are more relevant today than ever before when he described Russia as “A riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma.”
So then … it’s back to Putin is dying of cancer stories in The Daily Mail?
Running out of missiles any day now!
More proof NATO and US PAID Proghozin to do this
Yep Slo Joe got played
A fake insurrection with a move towards Moscow and then a left turn to Belarus where they can position themselves to attack Kiev. Hmmm. Sounds a little fishy.
