However, fearing backlash from Floria Republicans who are not happy with the deceptive 2022 gubernatorial campaign, in combination with a much larger polling of support for candidate Donald Trump, the DeSantis organizers cancelled the event.
Apparently, it would not look good for Ron DeSantis to have a hometown public launch with more protestors against his self-serving campaign than supporters. Understanding the dynamic, the people managing DeSantis cancelled it.
Floridians have the DeSantis motives pegged now, thanks to the work of a few ¹industrious crackers. His sunshine state polling is dropping like a rock, especially amid Latinos.
CNN — Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is no longer planning to hold an event in his hometown of Dunedin as part of the formal launch of his campaign, a person with knowledge of the rollout plans told CNN.
Instead, after officially announcing his campaign for President Wednesday with Elon Musk on Twitter Spaces, the site’s audio platform, DeSantis is likely to hit the road and make appearances in the coming days in early nominating states.

IMHO, our enemies have a profound problem, they can not overcome, which is contributing significantly to their “gang that can’t shoot straight” performance, and I don’t just mean the RNC/GOPe wing, but the whole bird.
Its the “Trump effect” on polling, with MAGA respondents self-selecting to opt out of polling.
It has an effect on their public polling, but even more profound, on their INTERNAL polling.
They use it much like the tracer round, put into 50 caliber machine guns mounted on aircraft (remember war footage in 12 O’click high?).
Every 5th or 10th round is a ‘tracer’ that glows, giving the shooter ‘feedback’ on where the bullets are going.
This is an analogy for how politicos use internal polling, and they do NOT use it to detirmine policy, only in how to craft the message.
Their still trying to SHOOT us, the “tracers” just help them adjust their aim, to insure they hit and kill us.
And, because of the “Trump effect” they are shooting blind, and missing by a wide margin.
And this has had a significant effect on degrading their weopon of propoganda.
