With Fox News reported to have lost half their audience, the trio of MSNBC, CNN and Fox Corp are now neck, neck and neck, in a three-way race to the bottom. Into this financial spiral, which doesn’t seem the least bit worrisome to the board and owners who are more concerned with their multinational financial interests, comes Fox News prepositioning to avoid further downgrading via a Tucker counter offensive.
Axios is reporting that Tucker Carlson is going to launch nuclear tipped verbal SCUDS at Fox News as soon as his tongue is unleashed. However, a note of caution is warranted. Which is more likely: (a) that Carlson is going to expend the energy on an irrelevant media network committed to destroying itself; or (b) that Fox News is leaking information to Axios in a proactive measure to mitigate their fall into irrelevance.

AXIOS – Tucker Carlson is preparing to unleash allies to attack Fox News in an effort to bully the network into letting him work for — or start — a right-wing rival, sources close to him tell Axios.
Bryan Freedman, the high-powered Hollywood lawyer Carlson retained for the contract dispute, told Axios: “The idea that anyone is going to silence Tucker and prevent him from speaking to his audience is beyond preposterous.”
Why it matters: Tucker vs. Fox could reshape the conservative news world. Fox, which has seen its ratings plunge in Carlson’s slot since he was let go 13 days ago, wants to sideline him by paying him $20 million a year not to work.
The intrigue: Axios has learned Carlson is busy plotting a media empire of his own. But he needs Fox to let him out of his contract, which expires in January 2025 — after the presidential election.
We’re told Carlson has been contacted by outlets — including the right-wing Rumble and Newsmax — that offered to pay him more than his Fox contract.
Behind the scenes: Axios has learned that Carlson and Elon Musk had a conversation about working together, but didn’t discuss specifics.
Carlson confidants say he also is contemplating building a direct-to-consumer media outlet where his millions of fans could pay to watch him. Carlson’s predecessor in his Fox slot, Bill O’Reilly, created a blueprint for this.
Two days after being booted, Carlson teased in a Twitter video posted at 8 p.m. ET, counter-programming his former show: “See you soon.” The two-minute video has racked up 24 million views.
State of play: The ousted host “knows where a lot of bodies are buried, and is ready to start drawing a map,” said a Carlson source who wasn’t authorized to speak publicly.

I have made the analogy that Fox news is to network news as GOPe is to politics: both purport to be the “conservative alternative” and play TWO vital roles.

IF I am right about that, I believe the R precinct captains across the country, and their volonteers will move as one with PDJT, and at some district or even county levels.
And, he will NEED an army, in place to do a MASSIVE GOTV effort, which will include educating our voters on HOW to vote, rather than the traditional effort of just getting them to vote.

None of us will ever really know who any of these people are. The primary disguise of a politician is to create a public image that the voters will support. That image almost always has nothing to do with the real personality of the politician, whose actual personality is carefully concealed from the public. We should remember that all politicians are liars because we would never vote for them if they revealed their real personalities. Mine is cut 2 years now. Since my cable provider in Canada did not provide Fox I paid $4.99 did it because of PDJT and Tucker. Cut Fox Nov 2020 after the election, two months later cut cable all together.
The mask is definitely off FOX. A network is only as good as it’s lineup, and that lineup has been removed. Good riddance.
Regardless of the chosen venue, Carlson would provide an off ramp for conservatives to never return to Fox. Fox is banking on this being a temporary setback. Carlson, with the talent he can access, would create as daunting a threat as possible. Tulsi, if Fox let her go, could be a lefty-ish counterpoint. I would like to see it play out.
The Axios article is manipulative. A well worn tactic to diffuse an important disagreement into an emotional “contest.” The idea is to use inflammatory language to recast the issue into emotional us-them. Caught up in the side-choosing, the reader loses the point. Why was Tucker fired and by whom? We KNOW it was not for poor performance as he was number one in all metrics. By firing him, Fox dramatically rebranded itself into CNN and reassure Pfizer, the intel community, banks, and other criminals, that Fox is reliably on their side. Any anchor who remains on Fox bears this taint. They are decidedly propaganda now.
Were I a principled broadcaster at Fox, I would do a piece on recent statistics (provide they are confirmed) on race based criminality. According to that news, nearly 600,000 whites are victimized by Blacks, while only 59,000 the other way around. How does this play into the fake narrative of systemic racism? Recall that Blacks are a minority.
I don’t understand why Tucker doesn’t just resign. Sure, he will give up his salary but so what? He’ll make way more than that once he is free from Fox.
I do understand that there are likely provisions in his contract about not talking about Fox for a few years once he leaves. Fine. As Sundance points out, Fox is tanking on their own so Tucker doesn’t need to say anything bad about them.
It’s possible that the contract also names specific companies that Tucker is not allowed to work for for a period of time, but those limitations typically do not stand up in court because you can’t prevent a former employee from having gainful employment.

I heard Ted Nugent on the radio. Several times he repeated, “I will not comply”. (I assumed he was discussing his rights under the 2nd). And I wondered……….if you are surrounded by men in black. boots and black uniforms with guns pointed at your head, will you remember the wife and 14yr old son murdered at Ruby Ridge, or the Men/women,children in of Waco, or perhaps the man burned alive in His CA home for resisting officers serving a warrant by exercising his 2nd rights, or the gentleman killed in the Bundy fiasco? I remember them and how no one suffered any consequences. I am not sure their sacrifices effected more than mention.
In The Patriot, we won in the end, but we collectively are letting that win slip away. How DO we win again? Trump is our William Wallace, teetering on the verge of being drawn and quartered by the powerful and corrupt judicial system. Do we have a Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Madison to lead the troops?

Unless I missed it, we don’t even know the terms of Tucker’s separation from Fraud News, but if Fraud News tries to prevent Tucker from doing anything until after the 2024 election, that only works if Tucker wants it to, because:
1) Tucker is already independently wealthy, he doesn’t need any more money
2) Tucker could put everything he has into a Trust
3) Tucker could do whatever he wants then, and let Fraud News sue him — there’s nothing they could get, even if they won
4) Tucker could counter-sue and tie everything up in court past the 2024 elections, in the meantime he does whatever he wants
As Sundance often says, the simplest explanation is usually the correct one. To me it seems obvious that his firing was part of the settlement agreement with Dominion.
