With Fox News reported to have lost half their audience, the trio of MSNBC, CNN and Fox Corp are now neck, neck and neck, in a three-way race to the bottom. Into this financial spiral, which doesn’t seem the least bit worrisome to the board and owners who are more concerned with their multinational financial interests, comes Fox News prepositioning to avoid further downgrading via a Tucker counter offensive.
Axios is reporting that Tucker Carlson is going to launch nuclear tipped verbal SCUDS at Fox News as soon as his tongue is unleashed. However, a note of caution is warranted. Which is more likely: (a) that Carlson is going to expend the energy on an irrelevant media network committed to destroying itself; or (b) that Fox News is leaking information to Axios in a proactive measure to mitigate their fall into irrelevance.

AXIOS – Tucker Carlson is preparing to unleash allies to attack Fox News in an effort to bully the network into letting him work for — or start — a right-wing rival, sources close to him tell Axios.
Bryan Freedman, the high-powered Hollywood lawyer Carlson retained for the contract dispute, told Axios: “The idea that anyone is going to silence Tucker and prevent him from speaking to his audience is beyond preposterous.”
Why it matters: Tucker vs. Fox could reshape the conservative news world. Fox, which has seen its ratings plunge in Carlson’s slot since he was let go 13 days ago, wants to sideline him by paying him $20 million a year not to work.
The intrigue: Axios has learned Carlson is busy plotting a media empire of his own. But he needs Fox to let him out of his contract, which expires in January 2025 — after the presidential election.
We’re told Carlson has been contacted by outlets — including the right-wing Rumble and Newsmax — that offered to pay him more than his Fox contract.
Behind the scenes: Axios has learned that Carlson and Elon Musk had a conversation about working together, but didn’t discuss specifics.
Carlson confidants say he also is contemplating building a direct-to-consumer media outlet where his millions of fans could pay to watch him. Carlson’s predecessor in his Fox slot, Bill O’Reilly, created a blueprint for this.
Two days after being booted, Carlson teased in a Twitter video posted at 8 p.m. ET, counter-programming his former show: “See you soon.” The two-minute video has racked up 24 million views.
State of play: The ousted host “knows where a lot of bodies are buried, and is ready to start drawing a map,” said a Carlson source who wasn’t authorized to speak publicly.

Just recently started watching RAN (Bannon & company) sometimes m and even get pissed with them sometimes.
We cut the cord so long ago I can not off the top of my head remember the year.
My husband had wanted to do it long before and had been asking me over and over.
But I was a bit addicted to FOX news, I had it on all day long.
I would switch to other channels at night when I finally sat down to watch a program, but as I worked ( we are in business ourselves and work from home) I left it on with low sound to the FOX news channel.
For several years he wanted to cut the cord, Dishnet kept raising our monthly price and we were getting less and less from them.
But I honestly felt I could not live without my FOX news.
I do not really remember now what it was that ticked me off but one day I said “lets do it” and we did.
I think what happened is the channels were starting to show so many commercials, and that included FOX.
I timed them one day and we were getting about five minutes of programming, five minutes of commercials, five minutes of programming , five minutes of commercials etc.
I was fed up with all of the commercials for the handicapp scooters and the prescription meds for “seniors”.
So many commercials for “seniors”.
We stream everything now, no commercials at all.
Very nice and peaceful.
We choose what we watch and when we watch.
No need to fast forward through the commercials after we have recorded something to watch when we want either.

O’Reilly used Trump on his tour in 2021 to get him to pitch the bioweapon. Catered to Trump’s ego – his biggest strength and weakness – to get him to talk up how amazing it was, put up with the rest of Trump as a part of the package. For Trump it gave him more visibility when he was seeking more after most opportunities dried up that weren’t his own rallies. So kind of a mutual use. But O’Reilly and his dark masters got more out of that trade than Trump did.

Covid money ran out long time ago, but was for operational expenses (think payroll, etc) that got ‘forgiven’ as long as no one was layed off during shutdown that funds were used for. Think about the amount of money distributed nationwide for every single company that applied. And we wonder how the total debt exploded as much as it did.

Think similar to social media (Jack’s Magic Coffee Shop). Think about how they all use the same words/verbiage on certain subjects/themes. There have been many a speculative articles over the years claiming they all receive topics/talking points in the wee hours of the morning everyday by a ‘certain’ agency.
Moreover, think about how are own tax money is used to propagandize us. Sickening.
Do a “net worth” study on the networks. Pick their on air celebrities.
Pick a network, first. See how much various newsreaders net worth is. Then start
looking up others. Get a handle on what kind of “salaries” are being paid.
The amounts are stupifying. The lay offs in all these media corps are ALWAYS done
to the lower paid or middle management. The overpaid are almost ALWAYS exempt.
Takes a lot of money to make people lie, convincingly straight faced. And to never,
ever utter a word as to why. The newsreaders are being bribed, mightily to continue
lying fervently.
What does it say about our country that our top media personalities are paid huge sums of annual money to lie to the citizenry. And the working tax base is funding these lies throught the CIA and public funding. Sounds like a failed country to me.

Technically, he wasn’t fired…just taken off the air.
They are still fulfilling the contract by paying him…he is in their employ.
If he goes to another network, they can sue him for $500 million (or any amount) for breach of contract.
Its not JUST a non compete clause, its non-defamation clause, and it would certainly apply in a firing.
In addition, his contract may have included “Mandatory Arbitration” and if so they can really tie him up, bankrupt him and there is no rights for him, basically he is screwed if he bad mouths them.
But, we’ll see as we can’t know whats in the contract.

I did not watch Tucker Carlson. I have only been Republican for 2 years, since watching what Biden did at the last election. However, the mere fact that it wasn’t enough for Fox to fire him, they don’t want to allow him his freedom, they want to keep him quiet, means that Once Tucker settles, he will have a new follower/subscriber.
