Longshot presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy has accused his prospective Republican rivals of parroting him, but Ramaswamy himself has made an intentional effort to conceal his own biography, even paying a Wikipedia editor to remove potentially politically damaging details about his past from his page.
Ramaswamy’s Wikipedia page includes the warning, “this article has multiple issues,” with a note that it “contains paid contributions” and “may require cleanup to comply with Wikipedia’s content policies, particularly neutral point of view.”
The source of these concerns are changes made by an editor with the screen name “Jhofferman,” who has disclosed that he was paid by Ramaswamy to make alterations to the page.
According to the article’s version history, the editor removed lines about Ramaswamy’s receipt of a Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowship for New Americans in 2011. Paul Soros was the older brother of billionaire funder of leftist causes George Soros, who was the biggest individual political donor in the United States during the 2022 election cycle. Also removed from the page on February 9, 2023 was Ramaswamy’s role on the state of Ohio’s Covid-19 Response Team. The editor recorded that Ramaswamy’s Covid-era work was removed from the article by the candidate’s own explicit request, while his Soros fellowship was deemed “extraneous material” by the editor.

In an interview, I heard Vivek claim that they put him on the list without his permission and that long before his political run he asked them to remove his name.

On July 2, 1881, only four months into the first term of President James A. Garfield, an angry attorney from Illinois named Charles J. Guiteau shot Garfield in the torso at a Baltimore, Maryland, train station. Guiteau had a motive. He was furious because he believed, due to his work for the campaign, that Garfield would give him a job in the new administration. But none was forthcoming. It was revenge. Garfield died of the wounds months later.
It was a shocking thing. Congress immediately got to work figuring out how to prevent the next assassination. They had the theory that they needed to end the system of patronage in government so that way people wouldn’t get mad and shoot the president. Not a very good theory but this is how politics works. The result was the Pendleton Act that created a permanent civil service. The new president, Chester Arthur signed the bill in 1883. It was done: the administrative state was born.
What Congress did not understand at the time was that they had fundamentally altered the American system of government. The Constitution nowhere provides for a permanent class of administrative overlords to whom Congress could outsource its authority. It nowhere said that there would exist a machine technically under the Executive branch that the president could not control. The Pendleton Act created a new layer of statist imposition that was no longer subject to democratic control.
It wasn’t so bad at first but then came the Fed, the income tax, and the Great War. The bureaucracy expanded in scope and power. Each decade, things got worse. The Cold War entrenched the military-industrial complex, and the Great Society built a massive civilian-controlling welfare state. So on it went until today when it is not even clear that elected politicians matter much at all.
As just one example, once Donald Trump figured out that he had been tricked by Anthony Fauci, Trump considered firing him. Then came the message: he cannot. The law doesn’t allow that. Trump was surely amazed to hear this. He must have wondered: How is this possible? It is very much possible. That same status pertains to millions of federal employees, between 2 and 9 million, depending on whom one wants to include as part of the administrative state.
Grant signed the first civil service law in 1871.

I watched the 1 hr. 50 min. speech by RFK JR. I was not so concerned with what he did say. It was mostly a documentary about the history of his family. It is what he didn’t talk about that bothered me. In almost 2 hrs. he never mentioned the issues most on American minds today. Digital currency, government created food shortages, the WHO’s takeover of our country’s sovereignty with the amendments to the IHR and the Pandemic Treaty, climate change (he has strongly supported this lie for years), inflation, abortion, the woke agenda, 1A and 2A of our Constitution. When you go to his website his PRIORITIES are lacking to say the least but his Environment priority is full of UN Agenda 21/Wildlands Project/Global Biodiversity Assessment buzz words that unless you are aware of these project you would fall for the warm and fuzzy but VERY dangerous to our freedom words. I have researched thee 3 agendas for 20 years and major red flags are in his Environment priority list. Kennedy is not what most conservatives are drooling about. A good humanitarian maybe but not going to be could for our country at this time in history.

To deny that altering atmospheric composition has an impact is ignorant and stupid.
The physics involved is very well defined and understood and can be easily demonstrated. Its not even a debate that CH4 and CO2 “trap” heat. The real question is what if anything to do about it and if it really has an impact beyond cyclical fluctuations. The difference is that the evidence shows that climate is well out of our control, as we can’t change cyclical conditions, some of which turn the planet into a frozen ball of ice.
