NEW YORK — April 24, 2023 — FOX News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways. We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor.
Mr. Carlson’s last program was Friday April 21st. Fox News Tonight will air live at 8 PM/ET starting this evening as an interim show helmed by rotating FOX News personalities until a new host is named.
Tucker Carlson had the number one rated news and broadcast show across the entire media industry.

I’ve know this since the 1980’s. As I’ve mentioned on here before, I’m born and raised in the swamp. I won’t go into names here, but I knew one of the heads of the Washington Posts operations back in the 80’s. He wasn’t in the news, he was all about business development. Well this guy did research and found a way to increase Washington Post’s profits by 100%. Kathryn and Donald Graham were very fond of this guy so they were excited to hear his presentation.
So the guy goes in, shows them how he did a deep dive on the surrounding demographics that were still part of the Posts distribution radius. Those areas were not subscribing to the Post for the most part. The demographics of those areas were conservative. So he pitched to them that they even out their reporting and stop doing only a liberal message. And he had done focus groups, survey mailers… everything. The evidence was irrefutable.
At the end of the presentation Kathryn Graham looked at him and said, “Thank you for the effort and detailed presentation (Insert Name Here), but we are happy with the way things are going at this time.”
That was back in the 80’s. It’s always been about propaganda and not profit.
In one fell swoop with the Dominion settlement, the CNN/MSNBC Official Narrative of the 2020 election is further solidified and the only mainstream voice telling the truth is discredited as a dangerous purveyor of conspiracy.
The thing that angers me the most is that it is OUR money. Our taxes. Our labor. Our wealth.

My “vote” / wish is that Tucker goes to OAN. They could use the viewership pump that would come with Tucker.
Second choice would be Epoch TV (although Tucker isn’t their normal format).
That said, odds are that Tucker is under some sort of non-compete for a period of time, so he may not reappear for a while. That may be one of the purposes — to keep him out of the airwaves through the 2024 election cycle.
I suspect that a non-compete is why we haven’t seen Lou Dobbs back on TV since he got canned.

Viewership matters. Not immediately but when cable carriage contracts come up for renewal. Less viewers = lower fees paid by the carrier. Also, there are some folks in condos who have their cable bundled into their HOA, so there’s no opportunity to cancel.
