In a stunning development at Fox News, it appears they have fired the #1 television news host/pundit in the industry.

NEW YORK — April 24, 2023 — FOX News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways. We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor.
Mr. Carlson’s last program was Friday April 21st. Fox News Tonight will air live at 8 PM/ET starting this evening as an interim show helmed by rotating FOX News personalities until a new host is named.
Tucker Carlson had the number one rated news and broadcast show across the entire media industry.
An immediate firing with no further shows?

Maybe he was demanding to show more J6 video like he promised his audience. The video he did show ENTIRELY changed people’s perception of what was REALLY going on in the Capitol building that day. I was there, just outside the Capitol grounds and witnessed some of the setup that was occurring, and since Tucker aired those 3 videos, I have been able to convince my friends and family that something fishy was going on. Without the videos of those high profile J6ers, I couldn’t really convince anyone.

My understanding is that Tucker and staff were granted access to the video where it is held in DC. They had to go to where it is held and review it there. That setup severely restricts what can be done.

Surprising to read in this thread how many apparently still tune in to Fox News. After what they did on 11/3/2020…it didn’t matter who was or wasn’t on that network…it was dead to me and I never turned it back on….cut cable entirely 1 month later and haven’t missed it for one minute.

It would be difficult to see Tucker agreeing to be silenced via a non-compete or an NDA. Usually one agrees to do that in exchange for compensation. IMO Tucker is not needing the money. There is no doubt in my mind that the J6 tapes were silenced. That was the turning point for me. He must have had access to tapes because he aired some. There were probably others. But I believe he was silenced and that was the beginning of the end. (Paul Ryan hit job). I would have preferred Tucker leaving immediately after being silenced. That would have shown some giant cajones.
Good point – especially since Tucker had been evenhanded towards Trump and hadn’t just given up on him as Fox would prefer. Glenn will probably have him on “System Update” tonite.

I don’t see evidence of this – I think Tucker has made it pretty clear that Trump is the only candidate running who is absolutely clear about his foreign policy and the dangerous games the Pentagon/State Dept are playing.
When you get fired, the contract gets nullified. Fox will either pay him for the remainder or negotiate a settlement. I would believe Tucker is in the driver’s seat! I don’t think there is a way to shut him up completely. There’s more to this story than is being told. Something stinks in Denmark and I can smell it in Pa.
Depending on the terms, Tucker could still be under the terms of a non-compete clause regardless of being fired.

Why can’t those who watch FOX News switch to One America News Network. Everyone’s views brings the money to them that gives them their power to propagandize. One America News may have some growing to do but I have no doubt if the tens of millions who watch FOX were to switch and no longer turn FOX on making their network profitable due to viewer ratings and switch their loyalty to One America News Network then they would have the resources to exceed what FOX does. I get OAN on ROKU. Maybe one day they will be on cable for those who have it or Network TV but not without a major audience helping them along. I don’t mind paying a few extra dollars to keep their app available to me and my family because I am sick of what the alternative is.

I don’t have the internet strength to stream with ROKU. I’ve tried, bought the sticks and all. Tried different carriers and none would guarantee an improvement sufficient to stream well.
I’m in an area that experiences loads of weather complications with satellite coverage.

He was the co-host of “Crossfire” during that time too.
Can’t very well have Tucker on Potatus’ tail every day after he announces for 2024 detailing a corrupt, senile, incompetent President and his disastrous administration. That will make another fraudulent election more difficult. You need someone who will talk about how closely divided the country is within margin of polling error and the “battleground” states GOTV efforts and the hidden pro abortion vote and “kitchen table” issues. Tucker was fired. Contract null and void. All depends on what was negotiated. So far nothing about Tucker suing for breach of contract.
Depends on the terms of the agreement. Being fired doesn’t automatically nullify an NDA.
