I fly through several different airports fairly often, and at some, they make you take out your computers to run them through security separately from your other luggage, and some they don’t.
Well some time ago while flying through Charlotte – Douglas Airport (CLT), one of the airports that require separate screening, (except Security Checkpoint A, which I discovered just recently…), as I approached Checkpoint E, the officer was instructing in his usual manner, “put everything in the bin.”
At which I told him, “I have a computer.”
He said, “just put it in the bin.” He didn’t say to take it out and put it in the bin.
I may be dense (cough; cough), but I thought they had upgraded their system and that I didn’t need to remove it and put it in a separate bin. So I put it through still inside the luggage.
Of course, they flagged it, and I had to go through the delay of removing my computer and returning it through the x-ray system.
Always in a hurry, I wait for my luggage and my computer to return to me. When it did, I grabbed my luggage and the computer that was in the next bin. The only problem was, in my rush, I didn’t notice that the next computer was not my computer.
So I rushed off to board my plane. Three Security Personnel found me already sitting peacefully awaiting take-off, and came right to my seat and showed me a computer. He said, “does this look like your computer?” I’m a computer geek; all computer’s look like my computer. So I said “yes,” He said, “Where is your computer?” “In my luggage I told him.” Where is your luggage?” Is said I had checked it at the jet bridge because there wasn’t room for it in the overhead compartment.
So they had to find my luggage. Wouldn’t you know it… they did (how did they know which one was mine?), and pulled it and asked for me to step out of the plane to the end of the jet bridge. They asked if it was my luggage. Yes. They asked me if I would take out my computer. Yes. So I did.
They said is that your computer? I said no. Everyone laughed and peace in the world was quickly restored.

I think churches need to teach the community about salvation through Jesus. It should be a loving community of church family members that care and take care of each other. There is no greater love than the knowledge of the Bible and the assurance of Salvation.
When the churches got down on their knees and worshipped Government in the name of “saving lives”, they lost a lot of the faithful. My view on it is that if you have to close the church and ban people from attending (i.e. “making appointments to attend mass”) and force people to wear slave masks in the pews – but not in restaurants! – you don’t believe what that man nailed to the cross represents.
I think there are a lot of people, myself included, who came to the conclusion that “the Church” doesn’t believe what they preach. If you’re right with God, you don’t need a mask and you don’t need an appointment to go to Church. Because your reward IS the next life.
The Church, particularly the Catholic Church, but really all churches, have not come to grips with the damage they did to the faith by worshipping the Government instead of God. They were quietly teaching people that everything they hear every Sunday is b.s. because look at how we’re forcing you to sit and look at what we’re forcing you wear.
I STILL watch people at Church on Sunday afraid to reach out and shake another person’s hand out of fear. Not fear of catching the virus. Fear of offending the other person when they’re supposed to be saying “peace be with you” not “you should be afraid that people are poisonous”. At my church, people up and down the pews used to hold hands in a continuous chain during the Lord’s Prayer. Now? Family only. I still hold my right hand out, but I’m only holding air these days.
THAT is the issue the Church has to deal with.

As long as they get a cut of the graft, they are OK selling-out the country and the voters. Don’t tell me the GOP is the lesser of two evils. They are every bit as bad as the dems are…..maybe worse in some ways.

The SCROTUS. Too bad, so sad. They brought this on themselves. In my book, they have “no standing.” They sit in their ivory tower watching the on-going Lawfare, the radical judges and DA’s, and say nothing. Not a peep. You reap what you sow.
The 2024 election. I agree. The election process has not been fixed well enough to prevent the fraud. The Dems already know that PDJT turnout will be historic and are already working on the fix. (Can anyone say ‘martial law?”)
