Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

Morning Ya’ll 🙂
Good mornin’ jay 🙂
🙂 🙂
Howdy jay!
Good morning, G, Mr jay, and Garrison and to all my beloved fellow branch dwellers🤗
Good morning, Betsy 🙂 Hope your day goes well. Spring is encroaching. Just noticed some buds coming in on my giant back yard tree. Have to do a little trimming today.
Mornin’ my dear friend.💕 Same here, and all of a sudden! Especially the crepes on which I saw buds a day or so ago, just peeping. Now this morning with the downpour which has stopped, its as if Nature has said, “All right, show yourselves!!”
Bonus points…the pollen, dust, whatever has been washed away! At least for the nonce.😁
Hoping Tink has had a rethink about using her litter tray🙏🏻
Good morning dear Bet! Finished with the school run and getting a workout in bright and early.
Nipper cooked his first pancake today, all on his own, just with a little supervision from his grandma. He explained how he did it step by step. 😂
There’s a whole bowl of pancake mix left but he and his cousins will finish it off on Sunday. ❤️😘
Mornin’ Gramps. Hope everything is going well with you and yours. Persistent medical difficulties are always so worrisome. Prayers for ya’ll my friend. 🙂
Thanks Garrison! On Wednesday we found out that the 3 spots in my SIL’s lungs that got radiated have responded well but now there is another one that has started growing so next week we have another lung biopsy scheduled for her. Good thing is that it’s all robotic and in September when we had the 3 ares done she breezed through it. So six month later here we go again. But she is doing pretty good. After the doctor’s visit on Wednesday she enjoyed some steak and shrimp, and a glass of Merlot at Saltgrass. With the dementia we have to answer the same questions a few times but she is happy and that’s the main thing.
Not the news you all were hoping for, G. I am sorry.
Thank goodness brush are staying on top of things, which is good, and good to know what worked on the other three should surely work on this unwelcome new spot.
Prayers, prayers, and more are incoming, my brother.💕🙏🏻
doctors, not brush…oh dear.
So very sorry, G. We will keep up the prayers here in midwestland. Love and blessings to you and yours.
A Masterchef is born!!!😂😂😂 I hope you were paying attention during the tutorial. There may be a pop quiz later😎
Boy oh boy, has that brightened my day😘
I was busy getting ready but see my post to JWoo below. 😂 And I just got a text from his mom asking me to pick him up today, too. Will be seeing more of him which is fine with me. And tomorrow my daughter, son in law, and their brood are coming and doing a crawfish boil so tomorrow night we’ll likely have all three youngest grands spending the night. ❤️
A little vanilla extract can take pancakes to the next level.
Good morning to you and the Tree, GrandpaM.
Great job, Nipper! Now on to Mac & Cheese, Spaghetti, Scrambled Eggs — yeah!!!!
Good morning JWoo! I always put a couple of drops of vanilla in but this morning I was busy getting ready. I don’t think he did that but there’s room for improvement. I could here his happy voice talking to his grandmother and as soon as I got to the kitchen he gave me play by play review of what he did. 😁
One of the fondest memories of my oldest when she was new and my mother in law was listening to them both in the early morning after I’d taken her down from the open 2nd bedroom (a converted attic) to keep my mother in law company as she prepared breakfast.
My MIL speaking to this 6 month old, the 6 month old wielding a spatula given to her to keep her happy and chattering away in her unintelligible language…
I keep that memory so close to my heart. Yesterday I think it was….💕
I can imagine your heart hearing Nipper and his grandmother, your beloved, in conversation growing two sizes bigger. Irreplaceable and beautiful memories are the stuff of life.
I’m glad, so glad, you are seeing more of him. You and your wife are the anchors for him. He’ll remember it as well.😘
I LOVE IT!!!! Way to go, lil’ man!
Hi, JWoo . . . I left a post for you late last night on the Thursday thread. As promised I’ll repeat the gist of it here. I talked to a psychologist friend who knows more about n-psy-evals than I do. Her advice: the original age 9 eval should be sufficient, there being no real need to revisit.
More specifically, if an institution demands “prior-verification” (i.e., additional institution sponsored testing) before providing accommodations this is probably illegal (and they’ll know it).
At my school I found they were doing this to “see if you’re still LD” (!!!) until our committee put a stop to it. ADA is quite specific about this stuff: one you are diagnosed LD that’s a permanent diagnosis, valid under all circumstances.
Bottom line: all testing and evaluation should be done only with your permission and with your choice of private specialists. Hope this helps some. At-a-distance observations like this sometime become unintentionally murky. Sorry. Take care of both yourself and your lovely and smart daughter, love. 🙂
Thank you for re-posting. Sorry I didn’t catch it last night. I’m so hit and miss on the Tree. If visiting on my cell, it doesn’t have the little ringy dingy… and 95% of the time I miss hitting that thing on my desktop too.
During my “season”… work is bruuuuutal and I am buuuuuuried. I intermittently try to stop to take a break and breathe – but it fairs poorly at my ability to sustain conversations.
SO MY APOLOGIES to everyone if I hit and miss. I don’t mean to offend and I value each of you.
My concerns are this… anyone laying claim to my daughter’s abilities and preventing her from reaching her full extent of potential. As long as she’s on medication… she’s beholden to someone (doctors).
I don’t want to sound all P.C. – because I am over political correctness – but I hate “LD”… HATE IT. It’s a learning difference, not a disability. She’s just wired differently and disseminates information differently than most, but sometimes that difference can prove remarkable.
So, that’s who she is to me… and everyone else can pound sand. LOL (Or whatever you said earlier to those goons. LOL)
You’re the bestest brother.
Side note – scheduled her 2nd flight hour for her 17th birthday this coming Thursday, March 30th. Nobody “puts baby in a corner.” We will pick up her flight log book then, too.
Sigh, I understand about the “LD” stigma (remember I am one). I use it out of convenience because I haven’t been in pvt. practice in a long time this is what the college practitioners I dealt with used. I’ll be more careful next time. Promise.
Oh you don’t offend me at all, G, promise. I just get irritated because these kids aren’t disabled in my opinion. They just handle things differently and once the mystery is unraveled… they can go on to lead incredibly productive lives.
However there are so many who seem to take advantage of “keeping them disadvantaged”, never reprimanding them,
And never challenging them … and when the kids catch wind that they can slack with no repercussions… by God, they will!
Seeing it all the time and now we have this nanny state where we have all these kids with zero initiative. Like pulling teeth to get them interested or inspired with a worthy occupational pursuit.
I see notes other kids send her and they’re written like 5 year olds. Pictures cut and pasted and colored worse than 5 year olds. These are high schoolers!!!
Never seen anything like it.
a dash of cinnamon in the batter says the hatter

Yes, Clete. For French Toast, I enjoy vanilla, dash of cinnamon and allspice!

I think it might be interesting to listen to these period original—very classic— Simon and Garfunkel recordings. Listening to them now, for the first time in a lot of years, really brings me back to that earlier time. Music’s ability to become a time-transport bringing us back to a once-upon-a-time place of our youth is a form of magic. 🙂
And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god they made
And the sign flashed out its warning
In the words that it was forming
Then the sign said, “The words of the prophets are written on the subway walls,
In tenement halls”
And whispered in the sound of silence
OK. But the sign is a god of our own making, not the true God, so its claim of finding prophetic pronouncements in tenement halls and on subway walls is a false declaration made by a false god. This very song warns against seeking truth in the wrong places, the low places, the places where ignorance and godlessness prevail. Want real prophets? Open the Bible. Don’t look for them in pop music.
Your cynicism at people simply making entertaining songs and performances is enormously disappointing. This music doesn’t disappoint God—it is simply an expression of the aesthetic freedom Our Lord gives us for our enjoyment. Don’t know where you find joy but it sure as hell ain’t here, dude. Why don’t you leave us alone?
I didn’t write it. I just interpret the words, which are clear. Nothing cynical about it at all. The song clearly says the neon sign is a false prophet. Don’t blame me. Take it up with Paul Simon. Why so serious? sheesh!
Sounds like you unwittingly touched upon an exposed nerve! I happen to agree with you, in your “opinion” about the lyrics. I’ve always thought that the use of the words was very astute, and poking at the worthlessness of the kind of commercially exploited, idolatrous JOKE the world is…
and the line about the “words of the prophets…” is in reference to the spiritual significance imposed upon the effects of the perverted culture; but people don’t read the writing on the walls!
Wow a little repartee going on here–I’ve always found S & G a place where if you’re down and want to wallow in down-ness for a bit it does it. As much as Garrison seldom misses–this is not Fri AM, it’s almost spring, put a smile on your face music. On the other hand–people love to attach some sort of cosmic meaning to everything — it’s just a tune.
I found Paul Simon’s message interesting.
Hey trapper (and all)…have you ever seen this cover of The Sound of Silence. Pretty intense – and a whole new feel.
The lead singer of this group trained as a cantor and has an awesome range and voice. Paul Simon liked it a lot!
Gonna stir this pot one more time.
Interesting to listen to songs from the 60’s because there is a definite echo of the 60’s currently. People dividing the world into good and bad, black hats and white hats, right and wrong. But I see the world as a vast sea of various shades of gray, gray men doing bad things for the right reasons, gray men doing good things for the wrong reasons, and all the permutations of those. So, let’s flip it.
Paul Simon cannot be automatically assumed to be right. What if he was wrong? What if the neon sign wasn’t a god we made at all, but just another means of communicaiton, just an electric sign that communicates whatever the person who heated and bent and filled it with gas was paid to comunicate? No more meaning than that? Where Paul Simon takes on the mantle of a prophet himself, a dangerous undertakkng for us mere mortals because it tends to make us have an inflated opinion of ourselves (lots of that going around in the 60’s and now as well), perhaps he just got it flat out wrong.
Oh, and Garrison, as a peace offering, I give you this from the time before Altamont. Does it hold up over these decades? Perhaps a bit sappy? Lots of that going around in the 60’s as well. White bird in a cage doesn’t get eaten by a hawk. Easy to judge others’ timidity, or to interpret protection as captivity. Lots of that in the 60’s as well. Oddly, this song reminds me of Bambi meets Godzilla.
Out of politeness, I’ve kept my piece about the sanctimony and tendentiousness often found in the postings of our cut-and-paste Treepers.
However, and for what it’s worth, this clump of postings regarding an innocently presented 50 year old popular song reveals an uncomfortable level of hubris. I put musical selections up with the intent for others to enjoy. I don’t put the music up only to have opinionated religionists use my posts as an excuse to stomp all over a song’s lyrics.
Frankly, passively laying in wait to strike is bad form guys. If you want to post music selections for the purpose of dissecting lyrics, by all means go for it. But this isn’t why I put this stuff up. Thus, I feel compelled to repeat a comment I made awhile back to a similar kind of controversy: SHOVE IT!
This is a thing my wife and I have all the time. She listens to a song because she likes the sound of it. I can’t help listening to the lyrics and analyzing them. In the interests of keeping peace, I don’t comment on what she listens to. In the interests of keeping peace with you, I won’t analyze any music you post, and perhaps you will show me the same courtesy. Perhaps ad rem can show the same restraint with the music I post. (wink and a smile)
Let’s start with this one.
Garrison…..Thank You for All You do! Be Blessed.
He is a Treehouse treasure, Leroy. Don’t know what we’d do with him.💕
Thank you, Bet. I’m afraid my inner redneck came out. I don’t like bullies, especially those who hide behind religion. All I did was post music for people to enjoy. And now this?
Garrison, I simply want to enjoy what you post…and I do!! There is enough out there that requires dissection and analysis. The joys of dropping in here, listening, remembering are what I think we all prefer. I know it’s an open thread. But…sigh…💕
I also do enjoy your selections, Garrison. I’m a musician first, before I’m a poet or a philosopher.
I especially don’t try to analyze lyrics from the ’60 since who knows what distilled spirits, pharmaceuticals or botanicals the writer may have been drinking, smoking or inhaling at the time…. 🤣🤣. I really don’t care when the music is cool….
Peace upon you, brother. And keep posting music.
And to you too, friend. I intend to. Watch this space. 🙂
❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❤️
🙂
He’s the yin to your yang, young lady! Lol
Niiiiice, dear JWoo.😘

You too, friend Leroy. Afraid my inner redneck is showing. 🙂
Way to go 🤣🤣👍
🇺🇸💪🤣👍
My dear Garrison, my dear friend…
There will always be Sadducees and Pharisees waiting to pounce for their self-elevation and self-superiority. The clear indicator is a “look at me” verses a “look at Him” attitude.
I have learned, over lots of time, and reflection, meditation, and prayer – that people (oftentimes narcissistic ones) are always harder on us then God ever would be.
I can’t wait until Jesus comes back to show us all how it is done. We will all stand before God one day, one on one, to give personal account of our actions. To God be the Glory – and He loves you, dear brother.
Be a duck. (Let it all roll off your back.)
OK JW00, your suggestions definitely resonate. So, thanks love. I’m off to do some right-brain stuff and get sweaty. Quack . . . 🙂
May I second that, dear sis?? 💕
always, sister Bets
Speaking from my “holy roller” perch myself — which I often miss upon trying to swoop in to land, toppling the perch, and spilling all of my turkey bird seed all over.
Then, I just say a prayer and go have a beer. (Not many… only one beer… maybe every month? But it’s a fancy one and none of that Schlitz crap. Yes, I still say “crap” too as I am adjusting my crown.)
But for reeeelz….. I am an EAGLE
JWoo
you crack me up
in a good way
a fancy one
I’m so glad molon. I feel too serious most of the time and… though much IS serious… I don’t want to lose my personality. God made me special…. I’m sure to fulfill a quota.
My mother in law was partial to a beer…and pig latin.
She’d say, “Who wants to get an ew-bray for the ama-may ?”
(Your crown looks perfectly straight from here😘)
Sanctimonious much? (And then he posts “Killing Strangers – Marilyn Manson below… ?)
Love you Ad rem . . . 🙂
👍🏻👍🏻
Ditto.
Didn’t mean to sound sanctimonious. I think the clear message of the song is to NOT loook for truth in pop culture. It’s a false neon god. Oh, and I like the John Wick movies. MM is a disturbed individual, but he does give a window into the dark side, which the Wick movies are.
Do you know the part in Ezekiel . . . Ezekiel 33:32 “And, lo, you are unto them as a very lovely song of one that has a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument: for they hear your words, but they do them not.”
I took a Summer School class once; I think it was called, The History of Rock Music: anyway, we had as our Final Project, to pick a song, and interpret it up in front of the class. I chose The Rain Song. It was very interesting; but I don’t know if what I thought I understood made sense to anyone else; but it was interesting to notice how people reacted, or didn’t react.
I think my big take away from that was, that most people don’t really listen to the words, or care about what they mean; and they sure let you know how weird YOU are, if you start talking about it!
This little interaction just reminded me of that.
There is a book “ Reaching God Speed” by Joe Kovacs, that explores God using our broadcasts to send messages of His truth out to people – within song lyrics, movie lines and themes, etc…. Why not? God can use all things for His purposes.
Ever hear of “accept” a rock band from back when dirt was invented, hard in my opinion but I was drawn in years ago. One of the albums has a quote “if the mind is blind the eyes cannot see”. I never really cared about their lyrics until then, I realized what they were singing. It was about being free in mind.
Now, how to apply! Read Gods word, study it, know it, this world is full of truth and deception and the only way to find truth is to know it. The only way to discern deception is to know truth.
If you understand what Jesus offers it is freedom not bondage and the only issue becomes, will it offend others?
Now, there are many lists of things not to do in the Bible to be closer to God, also those ‘to do’ to draw closer, but Jesus did not come to abolish the law just show how to apply, from the heart. Religion is from the head, it won’t work.
I also have a bit of insight on music, it is not exclusive to music as you will understand.
I was shown that in an atmosphere of praise to God we attract heavenly hosts and their influences, (I believe we all see and know this) but in an atmosphere of music that is rebellious, shall we say, to God it repels good and their protection and influence. Even attracts things you don’t want influencing you as a believer.
And one more issue, because you have a thought does not mean it is your own, examine them especially before acting on them. Music is a carrier of thoughts, a transfer from one to another. It’s the other who wrote and their intent in the thought that matters. You may go to extremes to understand this, such as “rap” and “praise” you will carry those thoughts. And it also depends on your vulnerability in mind, which goes back to knowing the truth.
Excellent, right on, Palerider! I think that the Holy Spirit gives us understanding about everything we have experienced so that we can help others to also come out of those things. I found that a lot of people who have never done the things I did, and had a completely different life; have it practically impossible to pick up on things like you describe. Doesn’t make anyone more or better than the other; because Jesus is the Light of the world and the only Savior. Fact is, God makes wise the simple, and takes the beggar from the dunghill to set him with the princes of His people. Whatever we have for understanding, it is from God, and it is for us to be able to pay forward the kindness He showed to us.
Daniel 2:30 “But as for me, this secret is not revealed to me for any wisdom that I have more than any living, but for their sakes that shall make known the interpretation to the king, and that you might know the thoughts of your heart.”
If God reveals anything to anyone, the others should judge, that it is for the benefit of those who can interpret. to make the things known; and that the ones who need it, they may know the thoughts of their hearts as God sees.
“. . .but in an atmosphere of music that is rebellious, shall we say, to God it repels good and their protection and influence. . . ”
What philistinism!! And how does someone like you determine what is and is or is not “rebellious” to the rest of us? You presume way too much, dude. Please see above . . .
Everybody in the world knows that rock music has is roots in rebellion and fornication; it is all of the devil! Look at the so-called icons and legends from its earliest times: they started out “selling themselves” under the guise of “gospel” music, and rapidly degenerated into sexual license; they taught by example, AND by the actual substance of their music and lyrics, REBELLION AND UNCLEANNESS.
My life was ruined and robbed from me because of that wicked spirit. My innocence as a very young child, my innocence as a young man my entire hope of ever becoming something worthwhile with my life! So don’t you get on your high horse to defend that rot from the devil! It is one of the MAIN reasons why this country has gone to hell, and going there in pride!
And now we have several generations hardened against Jesus as a direct result of the popular culture. Jesus’ Name is blasphemed, His commandments are scorned and openly rebelled against, everything that God hates has become an accepted “art form” – and you pretend to be so shocked! Where do you think the drug problem came from in this country? It came from the lawless world of fornication and rebellion and blasphemy, that is rock music.
What is so important or sacred, that all the MILLIONS of lives that have been destroyed as a result of this IDOL, are nothing that we should care about . . .just as long as cool is still cool? The whole scene was made by the devil, and has done nothing but evil to this world. Don’t you know, that Lucifer was the archangel in charge of the music? Do you think he forgot the power it has? its hypnotic effects? how the science of music works on the nervous system? So just add the Satanic Psychology and Rebellion and uncleanness, and you have a perfect way to destroy untold numbers of God’s children. Rock music came from the same devil that brought the ideological subversion of communism into this country: and where did it hit the hardest? Where was its greatest focus? ON THE YOUNG, AND THE COMING GENERATIONS; TO GET THEIR MINDS AND SOULS WICKEDLY AFFECTED AGAINST THE LORD!
Do you know the story in the Bible, about how Balaam taught Balak to cast a snare before the sons of Israel? He couldn’t directly curse them, because God had blessed them; so afterwards he devised a way to get the sons of Israel to sin so badly, that God would destroy them Himself: AND IT WORKED! Have the women come down and invite them to their idol worship and eat of their demonic sacrifices; and then consummate the festival with orgies, with fornication! That’s exactly the same tactics as have been used on America and the Western countries that have had the Bible and WERE Christian; seduce them into eating things sacrificed to idols, and consummate the rites with fornication.
ut oh… Mom’s here. You’re in trouble!!!!
(couldn’t resist Ad rem – sheepish smiley face)
Howdy Garrison 🙂
In case you’re interested, “Kathy” was Paul’s companion, first in the UK and later for awhile in the US. She found the whole rock-star experience to be so overwhelming that she returned to the UK, living a much more ordinary life in Wales. She remained in friendly contact with Paul for a number of years.
Sounds like she was a smart girl! 🙂
She chose well…
As did Serpico, who resided for a brief while in Corwen, about 5 1/2 miles from the little village of Glyndyfrdwy where I lived.
If peace was what she wanted, she will have found it in Wales.
The Sound Of Silence
Hello darkness, my old friend
I’ve come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence
In restless dreams I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobblestone
‘Neath the halo of a streetlamp
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light
That split the night
And touched the sound of silence
And in the naked light I saw
Ten thousand people, maybe more
People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs that voices never share
No one dare
Disturb the sound of silence
“Fools” said I, “You do not know
Silence like a cancer grow
Hear my words that I might teach you
Take my arms that I might reach you”
But my words like silent raindrops fell
And echoed in the wells of silence
And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god they made
And the sign flashed out its warning
In the words that it was forming
And the sign said “The words of the prophets
Are written on subway walls
And tenement halls
And whispered in the sounds of silence”
Good morning, dear Molon.
Nicely done.
Good morning my dear friend Bett
I’m in the middle of getting dressed.
Just put on duchess’ full armor and about to head out , Glad I caught you.
Wish I had time to say hi to all my treeper friends and they are growing in number.
Yesterday and the day before this thread went to two pages , close to 300 both days . The tree is growing . Have a great day friends

Blessed be your day, my friend💕
Speaking of spiders…
😂 😂 😂
😎👍🏻
Ummmmm…. I could have lived a WHOLE LIFE without seeing that! AAAAAACK!!!!
(Terrified of spiders and I would have a heart attack as my Maine Coon Harry would dutifully capture that sucker and carry it around all day in his mouth. God protect that furry goon!)
Funny – my great Uncle was a world renown venomologist – so he would be thrilled.
To each his own and you can KEEP YOUR SPIDERS!
I won’t hold it against you, Besty Beasty Betsy – Bet “not Midler”
….Jesus said,[a] “For judgment I have come into this world, so that the blind will see and those who see will become blind.…..

Good afternoon, Patience.
Good evening, JWoo ! 🎼
Thanks, Molon . . . 🙂
Good morning Garrison!

Music .. time transport…couldn’t have said it better..my playlist sinc to truck is all I listen to.. memories keep floating back as I drive ..👍
🇺🇸💪😀👍
Thank you. That’s how those original productions worked for me. Suddenly, it was 1970 or so and I was laying on the floor of a friend’s off-campus apartment listening to this LP. As I recall she had a far, far better sound system than I did (floor standing Klipsch speakers!). The lights were off except for that customary single candle. Oh, and there was this rather obvious sweet smell in her room which largely accounted for my comfortably altered state of consciousness. Halcyon days . . . 🙂
🤣🤣🤣👍
🇺🇸💪🤣👍
I have always loved the term “Halcyon days”. Redolent of calmer, more peaceful, lazy times when life’s demands could be put aside, even for a little while.
Although we didn’t know each other we were neighbors for awhile. We probably passed each other on the way to campus. I always thought the girls coming out of the Tri-Towers was seriously good looking. But, sigh, they didn’t pay much attention my bearded, long haired, “radical-chic” hippie grad-student self . . . Those were, indeed, Halcyon days.
Remember the fire-works over town lake? Walking across campus with my professor we were approached by a religious guy who demanded if we “knew what was going on?”. I promptly answered, “Of course we know, we’re anthropologists!” My prof was impressed. 🙂
Yes oh yes, I do remember them, my friend.
I hope he gave you top marks in your class😎. I would have just for that!💕
….remember Eeyore’s Birthday Party as well in the nearby park off campus😉
My prof was my mentor. 🙂 Yes to Eeyore’s and, of course, a bit later the Armadillo!

pppssssssst pppssssssst
Aquanet was a life essential for me back in the day. It was also good for all my Barbies whose hair I thought I could improve upon. 😁
Oh yes it was. Couldn’t do without it. Used to use stale beer as hair setting stuff when real gel was an extravagance and rolled my hair on the empty cans. That was before the molded aluminum cans. 😂
Anything for that perfect bubble or flip.
I bet the guys loved the smell of YOUR hair!! 😆 Had no idea about the versatility of stale beer!
Well weren’t you creative!! I aimed for that… my hair wouldn’t cooperate, even with Aquanet😁
How many brain cells do you think we lost with Aquanet?
Sticky bath room floors that felt like you were walking on suction cups when barefooted.

Ha ha!!!! I thought the same thing! Many a can was lost in my 80’s hair!
Building looks exactly like my high school. Built in the 1960’s, I attended in 1970’s, League City, Texas ! I do remember Mom had same Big Hair in the 1960’s. Her last Salon visit was unexpected. Previous visit, she had taken me, I dismantled a hair-dryer to see how it worked, made a mess & 1 loud noise, couldn’t quite get it back together. Her next, and last visit, a sign on the door, No Children Allowed. Goodbye Big Hair. This was in Clear Lake City, TX bordering NASA, NASA 1, and Hwy. 3. All a viper pit of traffic/humans now. In my era, rural, pastures, Long Horn cattle. Thankfully, we lived at the dead-end of Clear Lake City; Nassau Bay, bordered 3 sides by Galveston Bay, 1 side, NASA. With age, I told dad often, God directed his NASA career for me to have the most beautiful and amazing childhood ever.
awsome Poyeema
i love when you chime in
That is awesome!!! That sounds idyllic – NASA and longhorns. Sigh. Bliss!
I lucked out one night in an especially starry and dark San Antonio drive – to see all these cars pulled alongside the 1604. Me and friend were riding in my truck – and I rolled down my window to ask what everyone was doing.
Turned out Columbia was going to make her way across the night sky with the first woman piloting it.
It was amazing and I felt some enormous pride in our nation seeing the “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” go from one end of the horizon to another.
I think I know her!
Whoa!!!
i miss my horse
of course
Pure love. Precious and priceless.
Those are almost impossible to capture “in the wild”!

I wonder if the littles will forgive him when they are older? Very creative!
I like the yellow kitchen gloves, looks like they’re blown up and tied off
great synth sounds on those Cars hits … sounded kinda futuristic
There is a small touch of irony in finding a “Kinda futuristic” sound from a song that is 45 years old

Good morning all!
Joe Bastardi says that the severe weather outbreak in the deep south today and tonight “could be a doozy”. So those of you in the effected area keep on your toes.
Fatalities from tornadoes in Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana are proportionally higher than they are in Texas and the plains states. I reckon that is because in the wide open spaces your more likely to see it coming, but in the hills and woods your not. And of course tornadoes at night are a worst case scenario no matter where your at.
So be on your toes!
Here’s the map. Pretty much the same as it was when I posted it yesterday.

I’m just outside of st. Louis and it is pouring here. Loud thunder and lightning.
Thundering, lightning, and downpouring at this moment.
We had some lightning and thunder and heavy rain last night here in central Indiana. Up north in the lake states their getting the white stuff now. Next week New England gets a good snow again.
The battle between Nannok of the North and the warm moist currents from the south is on and thus the severe weather season begins. As things slowly progress the severe weather potential will continue to expand to the north.
With Nannok working harder this year to stick around it could be an extended season of wet and windy weather.
Well I hope we get some of here in Texas!!
Just a few sprinkles here and that’s it.
I hope central AL doesnt get hit hard! We are on a camping trip in the RV in the Shenandoah Valley in VA. The neighbors will let us know if anything occurs, but I hope not!!
We are in the orange area just northeast of the red.
It has been windy all day and is now clouding up.
Thank you for keeping us informed. I have begun taking my phone’s weather forecast as a suggestion it changes so often.

Ha!
Roseanne looks great!
What a reversal in fortunes! Roseanne looks fabulous compared to Madonna who looks like she’s been ridden overly hard and put away wet far too many times…
Or as we say in Wales, looks as if she was dragged through a hedge row backwards.

Thank you for this one.
This is an interesting selection with titles that are not too common either.
“Intellectual Takeout” and “Chronicles Magazine” always have some of the most thoughtful commentary and articles available online and in print.
In a related note, Mr. John Senior had compiled a list of 1,000 Good Books for several age groups of boys and girls.
His list is on a few websites and is available in a PDF, too.

Ecclesiastes 9:11-17 “I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favor to men of skill; but *time (boundary, limit, end; now, eternal) and *chance (impact, influence, effect) happens to them all. For man also knows not his *time: like the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and like the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falls suddenly upon them. This wisdom have I seen also under the sun, and it seemed great to me: There was a little city, and few men within it; and there came a great king against it, and besieged it, and built great bulwarks against it: Now there was found in it a poor wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city; yet no man remembered that same poor man. Then said I, Wisdom is better than strength: nevertheless the poor man’s wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard. The words of wise men are heard in quiet more than the cry of him that rules among fools.”
Howsoever wise men can be; as long as they leave God out of their figuring, they will never reach the results they look for. They can have the smartest and brightest mathematicians and scientists and logicians work out every plan to the minutest detail; and it will never be the last word , or have the irrefutable power to do what they expect; unless it is commanded by God. The elements of the creation all only exist and function within the boundaries of their substance, by the word of Him who created and continually sustains those substances.
Lamentations 3:37 “Who is he that says, and it comes to pass, when the Lord commands it not?”
Daniel 4:35 “And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and He does according to His will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay His hand, or say unto Him, What [do] You do?”
John 3:8 “The wind blows where it wills (finds a way), and you hear the sound thereof, but can not tell from what place it comes, and to where it goes: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.”
There is a race in this life, that is not won by the swift, according as men count swiftness; ” . . . but *time (boundary, limit, end; now, eternal) and *chance (impact, influence, effect) happens to them all.” There is a battle we are engaged in, that will not be won by the strong, according as men count strength; but the battle in the spirit realms, which put the eternal boundaries, limits, and ends, as those things that will be determined by impact, influence, and effect of the Spirit. The Day will prove what kind every man is, according to God’s measure. The limitations of the natural realm, is that they are only natural; and have no more power that what they are made to be and do.
For all the multitudes of people who have no need for an understanding and wise heart to know God; they will never, with even their most sophisticated learning, their strongest and most irresistible forces, all their natural human wisdom, understanding, and skill, ever be able to escape the evil net, or the snare, which are set to catch them. For as much as they do not like knowledge of the things of God; they render themselves most vulnerable to swimming right into the net, and flying silly and unaware into the snare, of this evil time.
Romans 1:28 “And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate (morally corrupt, depraved, rejected as worthless or not standing a test) mind, to do those things which are not convenient;”
“This wisdom have I seen also under the sun, and it seemed great to me . . . ” A little city with few men in it, being surrounded and threatened by a ridiculous over the amount of forces come to annihilate it; and with the attacking enemy are all the natural advantages with which to succeed. But in the city is someone thought of as the least and the weakest and of zero significance; yet he has wisdom that proves to be the salvation of that little city. Still, no one remembers, no one takes to heart or gives it any serious consideration; that their salvation did not come by anything they even thought worthwhile to think about. And they are not changed, even after having been the beneficiaries of that salvation; but continue in there wrong ways of thinking.
1 Corinthians 1:26-29 “For you see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many high born, are called: but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; and base things of the world, and things which are despised, has God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: that no flesh should glory in his presence.”
But men do not want to understand this, and they still want to believe that their strength is in their own arm; that they win races because they are the fastest; that they are rich because they are smarter and better than everyone who isn’t rich; that they have all their abundance and prosperity because of some superiority that they have over others who do not have. These are exactly the kinds that are the ones attacking without cause, the little city, that is no threat at all to themselves. They believe that it is their right because they are mighty; and no matter how anyone does the math, they are invincible.
But we have One in our little city, who is not esteemed as anything much by most of the citizens of that city; and He has the wisdom, and He will deliver His city from the overwhelming numbers and power of the enemy aggressors. He has done so already in saving us from our sins, and delivering us out of the hand of the cruel one, by His wisdom. For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men; stronger and wiser than the devil. Yet, no one remembers that same poor man! I will remember You O Lord! We will remember You, who has saved us, and are saving us, and will yet save us.
“Wisdom is better than strength: nevertheless the poor man’s wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard. The words of wise men are heard in quiet more than the cry of him that rules among fools.”
3/24/2023 – Can a bird fall in a snare upon the earth, where no gin is for him?
Amos 3:5-8 “Can a bird fall in a snare upon the earth, where no gin is for him? Shall one take up a snare from the earth, and have taken nothing at all? Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? Shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD has not done it? Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but He reveals His secret unto His servants the prophets. The lion has roared, who will not fear? the Lord GOD has spoken, who can but prophesy?”
The prophet is telling the people, that their sins have found them out, and delivered them up to their end. Sin and rebellion has been the gin and the snare, which has cost them their lives. When the Lord suddenly appears, He will catch the whole world as in a snare. The trap was put out for the very purpose of catching them; and when the snares and traps are taken up at that day, they all will have caught what they were put out there to catch: silly and unmindful, careless and unsuspecting; foolishly and greedily having taken the devil’s bait.
Ecclesiastes 9:12 “For man also knows not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falls suddenly upon them.”
The trumpet has been blown, and the alarms have been sounded; but no one readied themselves, to go to the battle. After having heard and heard for so long, and not repenting, people have become immune to hearing the Gospel. Sin has deceived them, and caused them to cauterize their conscience from fear of God; and having for all intents and purposes, rejected the word of God as to themselves; God has given to them a worthless and corrupted mind.
“Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? Shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD has not done it?” But they will not know it, because they have rejected knowledge, and have scoffed in pride and arrogance at the goodness and righteousness of the Spirit of Christ. The people in the days of Noah had had this word of the coming cataclysm for more than six hundred years, since the preaching of Enoch. They had been watching Noah one hundred years building the ark. They had themselves made a choice however, many generations before, that they were no longer willing to bear the strivings of the Spirit of God, to keep themselves unspotted from the world, and separate from the heathen. Even the world falling apart around them, and descending into all corruption and perversion and the world filled with violence; did not have any influence on their calloused conscience.
Amos 5:10-13 “They hate him that rebukes in the gate, and they abhor him that speaks uprightly. Forasmuch therefore as your treading is upon the poor, and you take from him burdens of wheat: you have built houses of hewn stone, but you shall not dwell in them; you have planted pleasant vineyards, but you shall not drink wine of them. For I know your manifold transgressions and your mighty sins: they afflict the just, they take a bribe, and they turn aside the poor in the gate from their right. Therefore the prudent shall keep silence in that time; for it is an evil time.”
Genesis 6:3 “And the LORD said, My Spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh . . . “

As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions. – Romans 14:1
When you watch a group of toddlers, it is usually a matter of moments until an argument breaks out over a toy, a cookie, or an invasion of personal space. Little immature minds can only see what they want and what makes them happy. The apostle Paul exhorted readers that God desires righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit, in all stages of spiritual growth (Romans 14:17).
Paul’s main focus in Romans 14 concerns the rituals people use to please God, generally concerning foods and observances. He writes, “Let not the one who eats despise the one who abstains, and let not the one who abstains pass judgment on the one who eats, for God has welcomed him” (Romans 14:3).
Today is the 31st day of Lent. Lent is an observance during the 40 days preceding Easter, which occurs on April 9th this year. Lent is a time of fasting, prayer, and repentance. Catholics observe Lent, as well as many Protestants. Paul says whatever you do, do it unto the Lord, for you belong to Him (Romans 14:8). Outward things do not matter to the Lord nearly as much as a loving attitude and character. “So then let us pursue what makes for peace and for mutual upbuilding” (Romans 14:19).
Whether you observe Lent or not, any day is a good day to fast, repent and pray. Intercede for the nation as Easter approaches, that the eyes of citizens and government officials alike will be opened to the truth of the Gospel. Pray that believers will practice lives of righteousness, peace, and joy.

Abraham believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness. Gen. 15:6
He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; and being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness. Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him: but for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead. Rom. 4:20-24
The promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith. Rom. 4:13

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow, that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ.
AMEN.
PLEASE PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER
hi duchess . bye duchess . have a good one
Perfect for today, duchess. Perfect for any day…💕🙏🏻
treeper friends . this psalm is from todays daily mass .by my calculations, that’s about 13 million people saying the same psalm around the same time each day.
that’s a lot of prayer warriors praying together.
Psalm 34:17-21
R. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted.
The Lord confronts the evildoers,
to destroy remembrance of them from the earth.
When the just cry out, the Lord hears them,
and from all their distress he rescues them. R.
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted;
and those who are crushed in spirit he saves.
Many are the troubles of the just man,
but out of them all the Lord delivers him. R.
He watches over all his bones;
not one of them shall be broken.
The Lord redeems the lives of his servants;
no one incurs guilt who takes refuge in him. R.
Mornin’ all!
I can’t imagine a life filled with so much hate there is no room for anything else.
The same people who preached peace and love in the 60’s and 70’s now push hate.
“I’d like to see the world for once all standing hand in hand…”
like every utopia, they will kill you if you disagree, protest, or even sing out of tune.
And feel entirely justified in doing so.
“Yet each man kills the thing he loves
by each let this be heard,
some do it with a bitter look,
some with a flattering word,
the coward does it with a kiss,
the brave man with a sword!
Some kill their love when they are young,
and some when they are old;
some strangle with the hands of lust,
some with the hands of gold:
the kindest use a knife, because
the dead soon grow cold.
Some love too little, some too long,
some sell, others buy;
some do the deed with many tears,
and some without a sigh:
for each man kills the thing he loves,
Yet each man does not die.”
The Ballad of Reading Gaol
~Oscar Wilde~
You noticed that as well?
Oh, they still preach it, they just don’t practice it.
Walk up to a house that has a “Hate doesn’t live here flag”, say “Trump” and watch the Linda Blair reaction.

It’s a Friday and for some reason this ancient Eagles song popped into my head (maybe from the discussion above regarding the Simon & Garfunkle song). It’s not as popular as many of the Eagles musical selections, but remains a personal favorite of mine… both for the music and the lyric
Morning, benzy😊 Every song we love carries a memory, small or large. And I find when one pops into my head apropos of nothing in particular, and I remember, it generally leads to other memories.
In these fraught, uncertain was sometimes it’s just pleasant to drift backwards for a moment.
I love this one!
Because… She came from Providence, the one in Rhode Island….
It is my personal Eagles favorite as well.
Just got to this benzy. Classic Eagles. Home run my friend. 🙂
Good morning Aggiegirl
Roger Whittaker was my father’s favorite so now you’ve really opened up a box of memories for me.
Is it just me or has today been a roller-coaster ride of emotions in the Tree today?
My father’s too, Parichute. And Englebert Humperdink. (not sure I spelled those correctly)
How about the Whistler or Old Durham Town? Oh, the days!
Was that a recorder being played???
You’re killing me with nostalgia, smallz
Joe Bastardi says “what a crappy spring” it is looking like for Europe. The 45 day outlook shows temps well below normal and snow for most of the continent. I guess the skiers will be happy though. The thing is what happens in Europe eventually comes to the US in the normal cycle.

Ford Reports Electric Vehicle Business Lost $2 Billion in 2022 | NTD
And another aspect of EVs that your not hearing about. Insurance companies are totaling EVs that have relatively minor damage due to the fear that the battery has been compromised. On average it takes about 40,000 miles of driving an EV to break even on the carbon footprint due to the amount of fossil fuels and other impacts required for production. So when the average EV that goes out of service earlier before it has 40,000 miles of service it has resulted in more carbon emissions being emitted than saved.
It’s a joke, but our taxes pay to start it up, maintain it and bail it out when it fails.
If we don’t get back to a real budget and traditional legislation and approval process that the Constitution framed and we used for 200 years, we will NEVER get spending under control, nor clean the swamp. It’s the money driving everything and not one politician, even Trump is mentioning the need to return to budget approvals.
Before y’all jump on that last sentence, I know PDJT presented a budget and was shot down. Not good enough. It’s one more dumb concession.
The whole collision repair thing is raising it’s ugly head–and not even if it might be a direct impact on the batt pack. A lot of other interdependent components may have had some compromise that could lead to failure or the wonderful catastrophe EVs are known for. As such a lot of insurers are just totaling the car (with subsequent impact on your rates). File this as a another entry in the “GEE, WE NEVER THOUGHT OF THAT” file.
If you ahve watched any of the WEC racing series last year and again this year so far… the prototype vehicles (both fuel and electric hybrids) have two lights mounted near the windshield which either show green or red based on the status of the battieres which power the electric portion of the racecar. If the lights are red, emergency crews can NOT touch the vehicle as there is a risk of severe electrical shock. That is one more aspect of EVs that is rarely discussed.
Like F1 where lights signify Regen going on and something I didn’t know that car is likely to enter the corner a little slower
Salty tears, Rob. An utter boondoggle. Am I surprised?
Nope.
I recently heard that some areas are looking into passing laws prohibiting EV’s from Evacuation Routes during emergencies, so they don’t stop the flow of traffic when charges run out. Interesting forethought.
Parichute, EVs are not allowed on ferries crossing the North Sea or the Channel in Europe
The Merchant Mariner is often not appreciated. Somewhere in my archives of Dad’s photos, there are pix of a ship he was on sinking…dad was in the Atlantic…
Dad took pix going down “Jacob’s Ladder, getting in the life boat, and various stages of of the stern going down. How he did it while wearing a life jacket and climbing down a rope ladder is beyond me!
Have read about the horrors of the Atlantic convoys from US to Russia during WWII. Amazing that they even kept attempting it with so many going down to U boats.
Many soldiers were sacrificed, knowingly by their commanders, in WWII.
Where the duty was particularly hazardous was on the northern route through the Arctic circle to the Russian ports like Murmansk. The German U-boats running out of Norway had good coverage of that route and even in dead summer the water temperature was cold enough to be quite deadly. Enemy action was not the only hazard. Weather and icebergs. The ships were loaded to capacity and sometimes beyond and on occasion a Liberty ship would sink due to what was believed to be failure of the welds.
Henry Kaiser caught a lot of flak about the weld failures until an analysis was done that proved that it was not the welds themselves that were the problem but the carbon content of the steel plating was not within specifications and so the cracks would form along the periphery of the welds. In the extreme cold weather the steel along the periphery of the welds became quite brittle. Better QC and putting in patches that stopped the cracks from running if they formed at critical places solved the problem.
Generally the only Naval personnel on a those freighters and tankers were those that manned the guns. All the rest were merchant marine sailors.
What many don’t know is that during the war ships were fabricated from standard hot rolled steel that had mill scale. During peace time ships are constructed of hot rolled steel that has been “pickled and oiled”. Pickling is a process using acid that removes the mill scale.
Mill scale forms pockets in which rust can start and bubble up under the paint. So it was a constant battle of chipping and wire brushing to battle the rust on those ships. Quite labor intensive.
Agree Aggie. Your dad served his country well.
Thank you for this explanatory video, Aggiegirl. My Brit hubby’s father worked at Cammellaird ship yards during WWII.
Untold losses and many tears for those who perished.
That is remarkable
Sorry, I’m really late to the party. This reminded me that the Seaman’s Church Institute has a cool Christmas program for knitters to make scarves and hats for the merchant mariners (I made a set once). There’s other programs too. Hope someone sees this.
https://seamenschurch.org/
One of my cousins was a merchant marine captain. He captained a 300′ ship that went to the oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico. His company told him to wait out a hurricane at a certain location, the hurricane changed course and went right over them in the worst quadrant. The ship lost all power and communications; the company thought it had been lost. The windows on the bridge were smashed in. They got one engine started again and limped back to port without losing anyone. The company gave every crewman PTSD counseling free.
Merchant marines are great!

DECREASING INTO HIS PURPOSE
“He must increase, but I must decrease.” John iii. 30
If you become a necessity to a soul, you are out of God’s order. As a worker, your great responsibility is to be a friend of the Bridegroom. When once you see a soul in sight of the claims of Jesus Christ, you know that your influence has been in the right direction, and instead of putting out a hand to prevent the throes, pray that they grow ten times stronger until there is no power on earth or in hell that can hold that soul away from Jesus Christ. Over and over again, we become amateur providences, we come in and prevent God; and say – “this and that must not be.” Instead of proving friends of the Bridegroom, we put our sympathy in the way, and the soul will one day say – “That one was a thief, he stole my affections from Jesus, and I lost my vision of Him.”
Beware of rejoicing with a soul in the wrong thing, but see that you do rejoice in the right thing. “The friend of the Bridegroom…rejoiceth greatly because of the Bridegroom’s voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled. He must increase, but I must decrease.” This is spoken with joy and not with sadness – at last they are to see the Bridegroom! And John says this is his joy. It is the absolute effacement of the worker, he is never thought of again.
Watch for all you are worth until you hear the Bridegroom’s voice in the life of another. Never mind what havoc it brings, what upsets, what crumblings of health, rejoice with divine hilarity when once His voice is heard. You may often see Jesus Christ wreck a life before He saves it. (Cf. Matt. x. 34)

Take heart, my friends💕
There are good souls in this world.
We all here are probably “far-right” as far as the buffoons in the press are concerned. Every single day they profess their hate for us and what we stand for.

This day in 1929:
March 24, 1929 Record Heat | Real Climate Science
You all know what they would be saying if that was happening today. Since apparently they think we humans can’t stand any temperature that is 3 degrees C over the average, I wonder why they didn’t all die in that heat. About the only place on would find A/C back then was in Movie Theaters. In fact that is what made the afternoon matinees so popular during the dog days.
Paging RSBN, since the film is yours, can you set up a 24/7 channel of “end-to-end” President Trump rallies from the archives.
It would be a great education tool for the newbie walk-aways and it would drive the democrats / GOPe crazy, especially the DeXX criminal gang.
