What is driving this DeSantis run, is it the carrot or is it the stick? Or both?
The carrot would be the chance at being President in January 2025. But pursuing the carrot will come at a heavy price. It will cost him in 2024 and beyond. There is very little chance that he will survive his suicide bombing effort against Trump, even if he manages to get Trump in the process.
What makes the carrot even acceptable for DeSantis at this point, then? It is the stick. You can speculate about what exactly the stick is, that Deep State Neocons have against him. But his history shows that he does exactly what they want him and need him to do.

Agree Iggy. Much of what we are seeing, living with, has been planned. Everytime I go to the grocery store and see the labels and packaging changes on so many items, simultaneously occuring with pandemic, I know it isn’t coincidence.
I also know it is the absolute fact that many of our fellow citizens are “gone”. Not just lefty loonies, but friends, neighbors, family etc. who otherwise share our values. I went scrolled back thru my comments on Discus. I was not speaking as firmly about this conclusion as early as I had thought. I thought I was convinced enough to speak out about it in Dec 2019 but it was more like March 2020. The comments before that were more like questioning than ringing conclusion warning bells….
But there were enough signs out there ahead of time…
I don’t see PDJT devoting such cities to such debased conceptions of futurity.
Look at what he’s built, physically and policy wise; at what he’s sought.
I see it as a rejection of the nihilism and degeneration of our increasingly lifeless cities.
To break ground afresh, to found anew, accommodating future vehicles and even current vehicles much better than modern cities do or ever can.
I am a fan of emerging technology and science, I love beautiful architecture and I greatly appreciate the opportunity to create new cities that effectively, cleanly and sanely address all the ills that the Left insists can only be resolved through maximum regimentation and surveillance, through culling of populations and institution of utilitarianism that utterly discounts the incredible divine value of a newborn and precious wisdom of the elderly.
All policy decisions can be taken into account and a future of hope and plenty, of peace and beauty, are possible. We have so many examples of ugliness to avoid and so much potential to create beauty unburdened by the hopeless haters of humanity.
I don’t see this as dystopian by any measure, our Champion knows well the plans of the Globalists and the last thing he would do is create ten huge cities devoted to their demonic vision.

As a Methodist, I was raised focusing on the Holy Spirit + positive work He does in the world. We focused far, far less on the negative Supernatural like the Southern Baptist did (in that era).
But —– actually —- once I internalized that the Bible means what it says in passages like “the ruler of this world” and things like Ephesians 6 ——
—– I felt —- more at Peace in this world. I became LESS concerned about bad things that were clearly going on in the world…… Even though my focus had been on the Holy Spirit all the time — I did not enjoy the Fruits of the Spirit as much as I did once I was able to accept that the Bible means what it says in plain text…..
In short, I believe — I felt the comfort of the Holy Spirit much more when I finally admitted things are as bad as the evidence indicates + the Bible tells us they are / can be / will become….

I don’t care what some cagey lawyer “talked him into.” These people are provably innocent. They must be released, and then be free to file charges for wrongful imprisonment.
I haven’t seen the plea deal he signed but confessing to crimes not committed in a pleas deal is no different to me than the police getting a false confession during interrogation! We do not have to look any further than what happened to Gen Flynn. They coerced him into a guilty plea while threatening to prosecute his son. Here’s an example: 80% of respondents have a very or mostly favorable opinion of chocolate, with 75% saying the same thing about potatoes.
It could easily be that out of Trump’s 80%, ALL Of their opinions are VERY favorable about Trump, while out of DeSantis’ 75%, only 1/3 are VERY favorable and the balance mostly favorable. Even that would be misleading. It could also be that every single respondent had a VERY favorable opinion of both Trump and Desantis and 90% of all those respondents want Trump as POTUS.
The only people printing results such as these are the same people that wouldn’t simply ask, “Who do you like better for POTUS, Trump or DeSantis?

For 10 years I taught a course on science and pseudoscience to graduate students at the University of São Paulo (USP). Whenever a student asked me “What is a reliable source of clinical and biomedical information?” I answered, without blinking: Cochrane. This was correct well before the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic, and it is still correct today.
Back to the Cochrane review. The paper looked at the effect of various non-pharmacological interventions on respiratory virus transmission, among them medical/surgical masks. The conclusion of the analysis of 13 RCTs, conducted between 2008 and 2022, was that the risk reduction provided by masks, based on laboratory testing for influenza/SARS-CoV-2 was 1.01. The confidence interval, which indicates the variation among the studies analyzed in the review, was 0.72 (28 percent risk reduction) to 1.42 (42 percent risk increase). In other words, for the masks to have any effect, the risk reduction should have been lower than 1.0. The authors thus concluded based on these data (the best scientific evidence available) that masks were found to have no effect on viral transmission.
In fact, the inefficiency of masks had already been pointed out in a previous Cochrane review published in December 2020. Even before that, anyone who had looked at the scientific literature in the field would have deduced the same.

Fauci Wanted Universal Human Separation Forever

No common respiratory virus has ever gone away simply by reducing the rate of infection spread through artificial means of universal human separation. As soon as people start interacting again, the virus will be on the move again until it reaches endemicity through herd immunity, which is exactly what eventually happened in this case, just as has happened through the whole of history. It’s like saying you can end the rain by lowering your umbrella.
Under his plan, we would have had lockdowns forever. And this is truly how the narrative turned out: lockdowns to end the pandemic, masks to stop the lockdowns, and vaccines to stop the masks. The video from the crowd of the Shaman reading Trump’s tweet saying go home has been referenced here on this site multiple times. It is not original to the radio show.
I have no clue if Fox banned the showing of that video. I suspect it has been available for a long time. The J6 frauds made multiple false claims against Trump. The tweet is one of many that debunk those false claims. Of course the frauds and their media allies would hide such a video of Trump’s tweet being read to the crowd. But has Fox going anti-Trump lead them to join the frauds?
BTW, Tucker this week has shown the J6 committee to be lying frauds. But he has done so without taking down the lies and fraud used against Trump. Not sure, he might have done so at the time they lied. But the Capital Hill J6 surveillance video is not suited for that task.
Thanks for clarifying re the sound. So this is from someone’s phone. Bet Tucker’s producers have received losts of offered phone video, but he did seem to be focused only on the security video.
Your last point re Tucker –agree. While he did show a quick clip of President Trump at his J6 speech saying to go “peacefully and patriotically” to the Capitol, in general Tucker seems to be subtly avoiding anything that supports President Trump. Tucker is in the DeSantis camp I believe. Or at the very least Tucker will not go against the Fox directive to black out positive coverage of Pres Trump as much as possible.
Even if from a phone, this video can be used by President Trump’s lawyers to crater the DOJ case against him (the criminal referral by the J6 Committee). And can be used by Shaman John Chansley’s new lawyer as part of a Brady Violation motion.
This doesn’t look like any of the CC Capital video that was released. It looks more like some individual’s video, like we were seeing at the time of the protest. Still, it shows the opposit of what the government is claiming!
This video clip is not part of the 41,000 hours (which were from Capital surveillance cameras). I saw this clip the day it happened.
Virtually everyone there was carrying a cell phone. What happened to that footage?

Tucker Carlson’s disclosure did great damage to one (1) prosecution. One person, and that’s it.
