Axios is positioning this announcement as FTX asking for political donations to be returned. However, the request is realistically from the FTX debtors.
(Via Axios) – Bankrupt crypto exchange FTX is sending notices to former donor recipients asking for the donated funds to be returned, the company said in a press release Sunday.
Why it matters: Former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried and FTX Digital Markets Co-CEO Ryan Salame were two of the largest political donors during the last election cycle. Now the company’s debtors want the money back.

I have been on the creditor list of two corporate bankruptcies. There are many types of payments that can be clawed back by the bankruptcy judge including prepayment of loans before due, early payment of invoices to large suppliers, and payments that appear to be cash liquidations to charities and other donations in anticipation of default. There is usually a time frame like the last 90 or 30 days before the filing. The institutions or companies refusing to return money can be sued by the creditors if they do not return the funds. The creditors may or may not get them. Since this filing was November 11, a lot of these donations may have been in a very short window before the election.
One of the bankruptcies for which I was a creditor, the company had paid principal on a loan ahead of time in an effort to help secure financing of a replacement loan. All was good and nothing would have happened except between the first payment and the refi, the 2008 crash happened and when the time came to refi, banks were not lending to anybody. The loan was an operating loan and the company went into bankruptcy. We got the money back from the bank to distribute to creditors.
This list does not expose the worst RINOs. RINOS are yellow bellied, intelligent, snakes hiding in the grass. Democrats are at least up front with what they want.
RINOs tell us what we want to hear, claim to represent values we have, claim to represent our interests — yet are destroying the ability to for professionals to make a sustainable living doing what we were trained to do.
We sacrificed greatly and paid through the nose to help people be healthy.
Instead, we in healthcare find ourselves working as slaves for large healthcare insurance companies, large hospital systems, pharmaceuticals.
We work in a system leaves us responsible for the quality of health (we keep the moral and medical/legal responsibility for the care) but have literally turned us into slaves. We can barely get a sustainable revenue to make the education cost worth it, without first doing the things that transfer BIG money to health insurance companies, large hospital systems, pharmceuticals, and the pockets of the politicians who sign these bills containing hidden keys to the healthcare money.
The most lucrative money in health care for physicians and nurses is giving your licensed signature so that money can from the 4 Trillion health care pool, away from the patients, and into their pockets.
Open your eyes: this is true not only in healthcare but in every industry: engineering, teaching, counselling, Government “service” agencies.
The RINOs are far sleazier than the Dems. Dems just have crazy social agendas detached from reality. RINOs use the craziness of DEMS to scare us into voting for pork that lines their pockets. Its not even pork that helps the people in their district.

On that note, I recall when obama received illegal foreign campaign
funds. A dead giveaway at the time was the odd dollars/cents on
the donor listings because when the foreign donations were converted
to US dollars, there was always an odd amount of cents.
Example: A $25.00 donation in foreign money would show up as $26.13!
