The members of the ‘Big Club’ have spoken. Mrs. Ronna McDaniel wins reelection as Republican National Commitee Chairwoman for the fourth time.
Ronna McDaniel received 111 votes, Harmeet Dhillon received 51 votes, Mike Lindell received 4 votes and Lee Zeldin received one vote.
Florida Governor Ron “Top Gov” DeSantis expended some political capital with a failed endorsement for Harmeet Dhillon. President Trump stayed neutral in the race, preferring to let the RNC make their own decisions.
CALIFORNIA – Ronna McDaniel won a fourth term to head the Republican National Committee (RNC) during a secret ballot vote by members on Friday, capping off a contentious election spurred by calls within the party for new leadership.
McDaniel fended off two challengers — California attorney Harmeet Dhillon and MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, a staunch denier of the 2020 presidential election results.
She received 111 votes, while Dhillon received 51 and Lindell received four. Former Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-N.Y.), who did not ultimately make a run for RNC chair, also received one vote.
The last three elections have proven disappointing for Republicans: The party lost the House in 2018, lost the Senate and presidency in 2020 and only gained a thin majority in the House in 2022. Many in the party cited last November’s midterms as a reason to elect fresh blood, as McDaniel oversaw the RNC through the last three elections.
McDaniel, in brief remarks, told RNC committee members that she heard the concerns from those who voiced criticism in the wake of the November elections while also projecting unity within the party.
“We need all of us. We heard you, grassroots. We know. We heard Harmeet, we heard Mike Lindell. But with us united and all of us going together, the Democrats are going to hear us in 2024 when we take back the White House and the Senate,” she said to applause in the room. (read more)

I accidentally answered a political survey call last election so I went through the drill. At the end the caller asked if I had any questions, which I did. First I asked what group it was associated with. The RNC was the answer. So I then went on to politely give her a piece of my mind and then told her to take me off their database and I never wanted to hear from them again or I would report them for harassment. It worked. As the election season dragged on I got fewer and fewer calls and text messages begging for money.
I’m just one disgusted person, but I intend to defund the RNC. I know they have corrupt mega donors, but if enough MAGA donors cut off funds and direct donations to individual MAGA candidates we might get our message heard. When the RNC comes groveling for my pitiful donation I intend to give the caller an earful and tell them where my money is being directed.
Several years ago, back in the 1990’s as the grass roots began to put pressure on the gop, they found new help, people like Murdock and the Koss Brothers, etc. They could then begin to wash their hands of us. To put a finer point on it, they shopped for donors, and weaponsized the commerce department and crawled in be with the dnc to pursue bigger interest. Money. Leading the charge were the current day leaders of the rnc.
GOP candidates must forward a percentage of any donation received to the RNC as part of the price of being allowed to run on the republican ticket. Even so your approach is so much better than donating to WinRed or giving to the RNC where the money goes anywhere but to a MAGA candidate.

It will take millions going to local areas to organize for getting the ballots, for canvassing, for getting out the vote. AZ candidate Blake Masters had problems raising money, but with a national election, even more is needed.
How many people here will give $200 to a new party organization? If 10 million people each gave $200, there would be $2 billion to spread out to candidates in addition to their own fund raising. If those 10 million people each gave $200 for 2 years, there would be double that amount. But can we count on 10 million people being able to give so much? Can we have an organization that can channel these funds to MAGA candidates? Or is this all talk from armchair posters?
