(Databases & machines are hacked & tracked in real time… showing who voted & didn’t vote; so fraudulent ballots could be printed & filled out for those who didn’t vote, which are then given to the NGOs to distribute to the ballot boxes. The last step of distribution was shown in the “2000 Mules” documentary. Dr. Frank says the ballot box stuffing is a symptom of the fraud. The real fraud took place in the machine. So the key idea is every stuffed ballot has to be assigned to a voter in the voter rolls.)

As part of its “Elimination of Harmful Language Initiative,” or EHLI, Stanford University recently published a 13-page language guide that suggests alternative words and phrases for those it deems offensive and triggering.
One word the guide says should never be used is “Americans” — because the term “often refers to people from the United States only, thereby insinuating that the U.S. is the most important country in the Americas (which is actually made up of 42 countries.)“
We sure as hell wouldn’t want to somehow “insinuate” that the United States is in any way more important or notable than, say, Aruba, Grenada, or Suriname.

If Trump continues to back McCarthy, I may consider another option for 2024. I’m no DeSantis fan, but just because he’s so rotten doesn’t mean Trump automatically earns my vote.
You have to read her full statement for context. She’s basically giving her opinion (a pragmatic one) that the caucus decides who becomes Speaker, that it has too many moderates in it to expect a deep conservative to get the votes and she wants the other reps to be honest about that to their base. She has gotten to know McCarthy, that he has moved right because of how he was treated by J6, corporate donors, etc., And she thinks he will follow through with his pledge.
She may be right, she may be proven wrong…who knows? But her statement about “nevers” is an understandable perspective as she explains it.

McCarthy opponents must show they have a candidate who can get 218 votes.

There is a good point by commenter Jeremy Carl. Have the Matt Gaetz group recruited and whipped up votes for an alternate ve who can get 218 votes? He’s mentioned Jim Jordan and Lee Zeldin as compromise candidates. Jordan says he’s not interested.

You just inspired me to go back and listen to the podcast where it was mentioned that LBJ, against tradition, served on a committee even though he was Senate Majority Leader at the time.
The committee was Defense Appropriations. Presumably the reason LBJ took the extra step to be there was to be on a secret sub-committee that controlled the budget for a certain agency…
Therefore, if Jordan’s stated reason not to run for Speaker is that he wants to stay on as head of the Judiciary Committee, he should cite LBJ and just do both…no matter how the enemy squeals…
He should be persuaded/drafted, in my opinion.

You are (correctly) describing earth coupled, or groundwater coupled, heat pumps. They use the stable temperature regime below the zone of annual change as a heat sink (or cold sink in season).
The above discussion is about the much more common, and less expensive, air coupled heat pumps and their known problems in cold or very hot weather.
But isn’t that temperature in the ground below the freeze line somewhere in the 50 degrees? So to get the temperature above 50 degrees a furnace needs to be paired with the heat pump? If the furnace isn’t working, there’s no heating oil or natural gas, the house will be very uncomfortable in the winter with just a heat pump!
