@Feisty Hayseed, the primary reason they want EV’s is because they are “Environmentally Friendly”, ignoring the fact that all Modern EVs use Lithium Batteries that are grossly toxic in the mining, construction and disposal.

Each time I get into a conversation on this subject, I ask the moonbat, “What is the difference between raping Mother Earth for fossil fuels vs. raping Mother Earth for lithium, copper, cobalt, and rare earth metals for EVs?”

Your wish to stop cobalt mining by child labor may come true, IF the rebels in eastern Congo cannot be controlled by the Congolese government. I highly suspect US intervention/supply of arms to those rebels, especially since the WEF is also involved. The WEF is pushing for amalgamation of the small, individually owned cobalt mines that provide income to a lot of people in Congo and to the country as a whole.
I’m sure that there are US companies which are trying to steal, buy, or confiscate all the cobalt mining before the real push for electric cars expands with billions at stake. Who cares about individual mine owners in the Congo when the US HAS to have cobalt?
There are over 100 armed groups in eastern Congo. They use methods like abductions, rape, recruitment of children, and attacks on civilians. Once there are a sizeable number of electric car users, the electrical grid will be at overcapacity. Domestic power will have to reduce forcing even more inadequate solar and wind power infrastructure that is unable to replace the deficit, but makes the investors happy. Corporatism is in control and is driving the agenda over the people’s needs, comfort and wallet.

In theory, I may be able to cross the country in an EV but my social credit and whatever standing I have in the global hierarchy will result in my Travel Application being “DENIED”. How can the middle class and poorer service people that provide services we need every day afford this. When the cost of transportation goes up then the cost of everything goes up, like energy.
The electronic car was invented in the 1850s and guess what, nobody wanted it then,nobody really wants it now either.

For the car industry it is a problem to get rid of all the cars, that are being produced. The solution is to design new models and new generations of cars, that get old, ugly and dangerous fast. Manufacturers also work hard with their political systems to make yesterday’s cars illegal and tomorrow’s cars even more expensive due to all kind of legal requirements.
Cars with huge batteries are technologically ridiculous and only waiting to get removed from the market again and melted down, when everybody has bought one. Enter a new generation of cars even more ridiculous – overengineered, overpoliticized and overpriced.

If this story and other reports are true or even partially true, it seems the Russians have found (or rediscovered) an “operational” answer to the NATO units spearheading the recent successes of the Ukraine. Strike where NATO units are NOT located, especially in areas of key centers of gravity that have to be held, to force the use of NATO Combat Troops on the defensive.

It sounds strange … yes … but it is all about the way the question is asked and context of the question, when dealing with a corrupt Judicial System that gets to selectively choose which evidence to consider.
In the case of President Trump’s Tax returns, the democrat run congress spun a legislative related question, no matter how many members of congress admitted throughout the case that the purpose (intent) was a public release of those records. This passed the written requirements for congress to seek the information for legislative purposes no matter the stated intent ignored by the courts.
In the case of the IRS files, one has to look at who was asking the questions, who had to prosecute any wrong doing and the CONTENT of the questions. Purposely left out of the questions was any mention of legislation and need to support the legitimate business of congress … how convenient that omission by the REPUBLICANS in congress, among others. In a word, the Republicans tanked their own case before the courts.
The Epoch Times, while doing allot pretty good reporting, also is purposely NOT thorough in some of it’s stories, as is the case with many “conservative” news outlets these days.
They play the outrage card over the act or event but for some key stories never provide a thorough and complete analytical explanation of the act or event. The complete answers to HOW and WHY are “sometimes” avoided.
Please take some time to write and/or call them to share your concerns. I’ve heard that the editors there are generally responsive.

I only researched EFF after they messed with a company I was interested in investing in years ago. Small potatoes in a start up, but it made me look at EFF and what I found was not very reassuring. Left leaning and under qualified to be doing what they were doing, imo.
I dont disagree but read up on John Perry Barlow. Hew was John John’s mentor, a lyricist for the Grateful Dead and involved in the internet in the very early days.
